  1. Thrillers always make for an enticing watch when the mind is running amok, given how a good rom-com just does not cut it and watching comedy doesn't suffice either. Whenever I want to exercise my mind a little bit, watching a good thriller helps a lot. While shiny expensive cars, a big ensemble cast, magnificent locations definitely add on to the aesthetics, a good storyline doesn’t need all that jazz. Here are 5 underrated Bollywood thrillers which managed to keep us hooked more than any big-budget blockbuster did: 1. 13B Probably one of the most underrated movies of all time, this thriller is a must-watch if you still haven’t given yourself the opportunity to be enticed by a good story. © Big Pictures The film follows a family which moves into a new apartment but suddenly things start going awry. Watch it for the gripping scenes. Also, with a budget of merely Rs 6 crores, this film is insanely well-made. 2. Manorama Six Feet Under With a budget of around Rs 13.4 crores, the movie follows the story of a woman named Manorama who requests an officer (played by Abhay Deol) to find proof of her husband’s extramarital affair. © Shemaroo Entertainment However, when the investigation begins, the officer ends up digging way more than just this one truth. 3. Samay One often wonders how much does it take to make a good movie. Well, for this Sushmita Sen-starring thriller, a budget of less than Rs 4 crores proved that a strong script can manifest regardless of the money. © iDream Productions The plot follows an ACP who is trying to unravel the murder mysteries in town and looks for the serial killer behind them. 4. Kahani Trust Vidya Balan to work and deliver excellence on any script she chooses. The first instalment of this two-part movie franchise was a super hit and fantastically directed. © Boundscript Motion Pictures Vidya plays a pregnant woman who is looking for her lost husband in the streets of Kolkata. With many more strong performances thrown in together, this thriller kept everyone on the edge of their seats right till the end. Oh also, all of this was made under Rs 8 crores. 5. Badla You’d think that with Big B’s name attached to a movie, the budget would be crazy high. Not really. This crime thriller was the surprise package of 2019 which had no fancy backdrops, no extensive ensemble star cast and yet, managed to leave a strong mark on the minds of the audience. With a budget of Rs 10 crores, this film gets a little predictable in some parts but always leaves you wanting more, courtesy the strong performances of Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. 2. A good actor is one who completely sinks in the role that he has to portray in the film but he is also expected to do multiple roles that are written for him. So, here are a few Bollywood actors who got stuck in typecast roles and couldn’t even break away from it- Alok Nath- Babuji © Twitter Alok Nath is the national ‘Babuji’ of Bollywood and Rajshri Productions has helped him in getting that tag. He has always played the role of a father, uncle, or a guardian who is responsible and a grounded man. Also, Babuji memes took over the internet many times and made him even more popular than he was. Kirron Kher- Quintessential Punjabi Mother Kirron Kher has played the role of a typical fun-loving Punjabi mother in many Bollywood films. From Dostana to Hum Tum, Kirron Kher has aced the role of Punjabi's mom and the audience loves her for her acting. Varun Dhawan- Typical Younger Brother Varun Dhawan played the role of a pampered young brother in Dilwale and he has many similar roles in which he has acted in a certain way. In many of his films, he has played the role of a young dumb good boy who falls in love with some girl. The list includes Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Main Tera Hero, and many more. Anupam Kher- The Friendly Papa Anupam Kher has played the role of a typical friendly dad in many films and we love him for his acting. In films like DDLJ, Rehna Hai Tere Dill Mein, and many more Bollywood movies he has aced the role of a cool dad who is best friends with his sons. Reema Lagoo- the Typical Mom The renowned actress passed away recently and it was a huge loss for the Hindi film industry. 5. We, the kids from the 90s, have seen a transition and we are products of that change. Back in those days, it was only TV that we could rely on for our recreation on a daily basis. Well, TV shows in those days, unlike today, were clean and family-friendly, for that matter. Cut to the present, we have shows that you just cannot watch with your families thanks to the many 'intimate' scenes being shown, which is okay, however, absolutely not when you are sitting with you mom and dad! We might have become liberal but still, seeing a show with our families that has the lead actors indulging in a lovemaking scene, does make us a bit uncomfortable. Just imagine watching GOT with parents, the very thought can be disastrous. Nowadays, even Indian TV shows have taken a bolder approach so, some parents arenât comfortable with the idea of children seeing such shows with them. But the 90s did offer some shows that you could simply watch with your families without any filters or concerns. Take a look at these Indian shows that you could or still can easily watch on the TV along with your parents without filters: 1. Ramayan This, surely, would have been a part of our Sunday ritual with our parents for many of us. The show inculcates the values of brotherhood and talks of many such values that we need to imbibe. For obvious reasons, Ramayan can be watched anytime with your families. It was re-aired recently because of the lockdown situation and even millennials found an instant connection with the show. 2. Mahabharat Barring the Draupadi chir-haran scene, this show explains the way to lead an exemplary life in the present world and can easily be watched with your parents without any filters and in fact, this also added to the weekend rituals wherein families used to together and watch it on TV. 3. Hum Paanch The story revolves around an ordinary yet amusing family that consists of Anand Mathur, his second wife Bina Mathur and his five daughters. It was a treat to see how those five daughters left no chance to make sure that their parents had a tough day. The show, obviously, had no raunchy scenes and made for a perfect family sitcom as it showed an empowering side of women. Hum Paanch was one of those serials that received a cult status with its content which everyone in the family found relatable. 4. Dekh Bhai Dekh The show was based on a family with three generations and how they faced the ups and downs in life with a comic backdrop. This surely made for a family watch and you could see it with your family without even thinking twice about it. 5. Shrimaan Shrimati The popular 90s show Shrimaan Shrimati, which starred Reema Lagoo, Jatin Kanakia, Rakesh Bedi and Archana Puran Singh is still one of those cult shows that you can watch with your families anytime. It was indeed funny to see how Koki (Reema Lagoo) and Prema (Archana Puran Singh) took their husbands' cases on a regular basis. The banters were light and genuinely funny. This is also among those lucky few shows that were re-aired because of the current lockdown situation. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Archana said, âIâm extremely happy that a show whose humour has survived to date is finally going to be seen by the generation which is in many ways is starved of genuinely funny and well-written humorous shows today. Even though it was made three decades ago, it has survived the test of time and [has therefore been] reconsidered.â So, enjoy these shows once again with your families because they wonât and canât ever disappoint you! 6. A waiter tripped and now, we're tripping over the fact that he didn't drop anything after tripping. This could honestly be a tongue-twister. But seriously, this might be the most impressive thing I've ever seen, or among my top five at least. Just tripping and falling is something every clumsy person can relate to, but not destroying anything is something no one can. Maybe, only superheroes, since the incident is quite similar to that one iconic Spider-Man scene. Now, look at our guy. Just flawless. Big Spider-Man energy. The superhero in question is 24-year-old Jamie Shoebridge, who slipped on some peppercorn sauce and fell to the floor, taking down a decorative plant in the process. But, his balance was so impeccable he managed to drop not even a single thing. All the four plates were completely okay. Talking about the incident, he said, "One minute I was walking along with the plates and the next minute I was on the floor. I lost my footing and fell down face first. There was some peppercorn sauce on the floor and I slipped on it. Itâs all a blur and Iâm not sure how it happened. It was just an instinct to lift my arms up and try to save the plates. I just got back up and carried on as normal." © YouTube He basically pulled off something almost impossible and then carried on like nothing happened. What a cool thing to do! He went on to add, "I have no idea how none of the plates got smashed. Iâm impressed with myself. It didnât hurt but I was very confused as to how it happened. We all had a laugh about it in the office. It has become a bit of a running joke at work now." I feel bad for all the people who work there now, tbh. Imagine dropping something after this incident and being reminded of Jamie's superhero act. No one can mess up now, it would be so embarrassing. View the full article
  7. It's a fact that no superhero can ever be made without CGI and special effects, quite understandably. But, sometimes you learn that a few scenes, that actually look like it took a lot of editing and effects to happen, were achieved by the actors on their own. Even though it's not Thursday, we still have a throwback and it's about the OG Spider-Man, Tobey Maguire. Remember this little scene? He manages to hold Kristen Dunst with one hand while also catching everything in her lunch tray after its contents go flying in the air. Looks almost impossible to do for real, right? Well, it actually almost was, as Tobey did manage to do this on his own, just took a lot of tries, but that's okay. It's surprising that it's not CGI like almost the rest of the movie, but Tobey did do this 'stunt' on his own and it only took him 156 tries. Honestly, not that bad. Talking about the scene, special effects artist John Dykstra said, "This gag when he catches all this stuff, he actually did that⦠take 156!" Even Kristen Dunst revealed what the trick actually was - "No CGI, thatâs all Tobey, they put sticky glue stuff to stick his hand to the tray." Yes, this is old news, but there still might be people who didn't know this, so why not share such an interesting movie fact? View the full article
  8. On most days Ranbir Kapoor spends his time wrapping up the much-awaited film of 2020, Brahmastra that he's shooting along with his co-star and rumoured girlfriend Alia Bhatt. Spotting him outside is a rarity since he has a rather busy shooting schedule. However, occasions like a scheduled football match are days when Ranbir makes it a point to free up some time from his tedious schedule to show up on the field and play the game. It is on these occasions that we catch hold of him. For the uninitiated, Ranbir loves to play football and going by how often he is spotted on the football field, he probably has a section in his closet set aside to store the precious football gear that he has collected over the years. He only gets to use this gear whenever he gets time to play football. However, this time around, more than playing, Ranbir was in the mood of goofing around. So, throughout the match, he was seen holding a banana in his hand. What's interesting is the fact that when he was asked to pose for the media later after the match got over, he used the banana as a prop moustache. Take a look here: © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani But if you look at his goofy pose, you can also see that he's wearing a regular tank top along with shorts and tights to go underneath. This look can easily come under regular football gear. © Viral Bhayani However, what piqued our interest was the pair of shoes that he was wearing. The pair was a regular football silhouette with orange and white colourways and a black Nike swoosh on either side of the shoe. © Viral Bhayani In case you're wondering, the pair is called Nike White & Orange JR Legend 7 Club FG Football Shoes. They come for the cost of Rs. 3,695 and are usually on sale. Ranbir's shoes, as it turns out, are surprisingly quite affordable. View the full article

  10. NAB chairman — File photoISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal said on Wednesday that the probe authority operates on the basis of its policy and is not affiliated with any political party. In a statement, Iqbal said that the NAB functions only for the sake of Pakistan, working against dishonest elements and fugitives. He said that the NAB’s performance has been lauded by the national and international elements. “In the past 27 months, the authority has recovered Rs153 billion from dishonest elements and submitted to the national exchequer. Apart from arresting 630 suspects, around 600 corruption references have been registered in accountability courts,” said the NAB chairman. Following the recent arrest of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Ahsan Iqbal in relation to Narowal Sports City case, opposition parties had accused the NAB of collusion with ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. 11. ASUS has been making some kickass laptops lately. The company's new ZenBook Pro Duo with two displays is one of the best laptops we've ever used. Even when it comes to the gaming side of things, ASUS is probably the only brand that's pushing the limits. For instance, the ASUS ROG Scar III is the only laptop in India that comes with a 240Hz refresh rate panel. On the same lines, ASUS announced something absolutely crazy a couple of months back while launching their new range of gaming notebooks in India. Yes, I am talking about the ROG Mothership, a "gaming laptop" that's unlike anything you may have seen till now. If I am being completely honest, the ASUS Mothership is one of the craziest pieces of tech that I've ever seen. It's more than just an ambitious product. I mean, a gaming laptop with a kickstand and a detachable keyboard? C'mon! So when the good folks over at ASUS asked me if I wanted to check it out, I said yes without any second thoughts. So I've been using the ASUS ROG Mothership laptop as my primary machine for a little over two weeks now, and here's what I make of it - 1. Design & Build Quality © Mensxp Alright! Imagine Microsoft decided to make a Surface laptop, complete with a kickstand and all, for gamers? Well, that's exactly what the ROG Mothership is. There's no other way to put it. It's a massive laptop with a 17.3-inch display and enough firepower to run pretty much any game you throw at it without any issues whatsoever. It has a Surface-style pop-up kickstand that comes out automatically every time you rest the laptop on a desk. It also comes with a detachable folding keyboard that connects to your laptop wirelessly and has its own battery that needs to be charged. When the laptop is closed and just sitting on the desk, it looks like a normal gaming laptop or a desktop replacement machine. But as soon as you deploy it by making the kickstand pop up, that's when the party begins. Since it's a gaming, uhh.. laptop, the keyboard has per-key RGB lighting. Is that even a question? There's RGB lighting on the front as well as the back of the body, because why not? © Mensxp It's also worth pointing out that all the hardware components are inside the display assembly itself. And I must say that it's very heavy, which is why you might want to rest it on a flat surface, rather than using it on, say, your lap or your bed. I tried using it like that, and I don't recommend that. So overall, I'd say the ROG Mothership is an absolute head-turner. But it's not really a portable machine, so I'd say it's a desktop replacement at best. It's something you'd buy when you want a machine that's as powerful as a desktop, but can also be moved around from place to place whenever necessary. That being said, the ASUS scores a 10/10 on my books when it comes to design and build quality. 2. Display The ROG Mothership, as I mentioned earlier, sports a 17.3-inch 1080p G-sync panel on the front. It's an IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. ASUS says the display covers 100-percent of the sRGB color gamut, which is awesome. © Mensxp For the time I had the Mothership with, I absolutely consumed media on this display. Be it playing video games, or watching TV shows or movies, it was an absolute treat. I particularly enjoy using a huge 17.3-inch display over a smaller 15.6-inch panel, so I had no complaints there. ASUS also makes a variant with 4K panel, but you'll miss out on the smooth 144Hz refresh rate with that, so you gotta pick. 3. Keyboard and Touchpad The ROG Mothership comes with a detachable keyboard which also includes a touchpad on the side. Look, I know most people aren't fond of having a touchpad at the side as opposed to the bottom, but I've gotten to a point where I've used so many laptops that it hardly takes me a day to get used to the new alignment. © Mensxp However, I do have some issues with the keyboard and touchpad of this particular laptop. So when it's detached from the chassis and used in the wireless mode, I had faced a lot of connectivity issues, and I mean, a lot. It got to a point where I stopped detaching it from the main assembly. I even tried charging the keyboard separately via the USB Type - C port that's at the bottom, but it failed to work for me. The keys, as mentioned earlier, have per-key RGB lighting, which is nice. The touchpad also acts as a Numpad, just like the ones of the Zephyrus notebooks. The keys themselves were a bit too squishy for my liking, but a lot of my colleagues enjoyed typing on it when I asked them to try it out. It has a 2.5mm travel distance and a 0.3mm keycap curve. The only thing I like the keyboard on this laptop is that it's detachable, so you can use it as a normal wireless keyboard as you would on a traditional desktop setup. © Mensxp 4. Performance & Thermals Coming to the meat of this review, we have the performance of the ROG Mothership. This machine, mind you, is fitted with some of the most powerful hardware components out there on the market. The variant which I reviewed came with an Intel Core i9-9980HK, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 with 8GB GDDR6 memory. It was paired with 64GB RAM and is provided by a RAID 0 array with three NVMe SSDs. © Mensxp Since the ROG Mothership's hardware is ludicrous, you'll need two power bricks to run it. See why I said this isn't a portable machine? But honestly, I wasn't surprised to see two power bricks. I've seen various other laptops using them, and it's kind of a no-brainer for a machine of this sort. In case you still have any doubts about the performance of ROG Mothership, then let me just tell you that it's insane. I was able to max out the graphics settings in the new Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare at 1080p, and I was still getting well over the comfortable 144Hz that the display rated to support. Now that's how you know it's a powerful beast. Besides that, I also spent a lot of time playing titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and more. I am going to leave some benchmark numbers below for you to check out - As for the thermals, I'd say ASUS has done a commendable job. Like, there's no denying that the Mothership is interesting to look at. However, the form factor actually helps the machine keep itself cool during taxing activities. Since everything is at the back of the display, the top chassis allows for better airflow. Besides the ingenious airflow, the Mothership is fitted with two fans and a ton of heat pipes. ASUS is also using liquid metal to keep the CPU cool. And then there's software to monitor all that and keep track of everything. But since there's much going on with the thermals, the Mothership makes a ton of noise while it's pushing the games at max settings. If you're not wearing headphones while gaming, then good luck sitting next to this machine and trying to make sense of the game. 5. Ports © Mensxp Since the Mothership with a unique form factor, you won't find the ports along the side of the keyboard. Instead, they're all on the main body, and there are a ton of them. On the right side, there's a USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, a HDMI 2.0 port, and a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, which also doubles as a DisplayPort 1.4 input. You'll also see an SD card reader and two power jacks here. © Mensxp On the left side, there's a trio of USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet and separate jacks for headset and mic. 6. Audio Out of all the laptops I've reviewed so far, only a handful of them stood out in terms of the audio quality. And I tend to leave a note here in the review about the audio of only those specific laptops. ROG Mothership is one of them. I simply love the Mothership's speakers. All the 4 four-watt speakers are aimed directly at the user, which means it's great. © Mensxp Be it while gaming or listening to music, I was really impressed with the audio. The speakers do manage to cover up the fan's noise of the machine, but I still recommend using a pair of headphones while gaming. By the way, the speakers sound the best when the keyboard is detached since the audio will reach your ears properly without getting lost in the transition. 7. Battery Life © Mensxp You did read the specs on this machine, right? So let me just tell you that you'll always want to carry at least one of those two power bricks if you're just out for a casual day of work. It won't last you a full day of use without the chargers. With the keyboard attached, I'd say the Mothership will last you for around 5 hours. But since this is essentially a desktop replacement or at least it's meant to be used like one, I don't think the battery life should be an issue. 8. The Final Say Look, ASUS isn't going to be selling the ROG Mothership in India. And that makes complete sense because this is a prototype machine at best. The mere existence of ROG Mothership in India right now is to show what ASUS can do. Yes, they've already done that with the likes of Zephyrus and Strix series notebooks, but the ROG Mothership is on another level altogether. I'd call it madness, for lack of a better word. © Mensxp And even if ASUS decides to start selling this in India, the price tag would certainly scare the living hell out of my bank account. There are a lot of good desktop replacements out there that are much better and more stable than the ROG Mothership. Heck, ASUS' own ROG GL703 is the one you should be getting if you want a desktop alternative. If at all ASUS makes a polished version of Mothership for the Indian market and gives it a handsome price tag, I'd grab it without any second thoughts. I mean, who doesn't want an over-the-top machine that can handle all games at max settings and look ridiculously cool while doing it? I certainly can't say no to that! View the full article
  12. Earlier this month we came across the WhatsApp Pegasus spying controversy which raised a lot of questions about our privacy. In fact, WhatsApp was recently under the scanner for malware that could let anyone hack into our phones. Now, we've learned that our government can essentially hack into any of our phones and gain access to intercept our communication, decrypt information and more. Yes, it's quite scary if you think about the fact that our own government is "empowered" to not only monitor but also intercept our communication at any given time. © Reuters In fact, there's an open document on the Lok Sabha website which states that "Section 5 of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 empowers lawful interception of messages." You can read it right here. It states that permission to tap our phones is approved by the Union Home Secretary (for Central Government), and the Union Home Secretary of the State concerned (in case of a State Government). The document also states that a total of 10 government agencies have the necessary authorization to intercept our communication at any given time. Here's the complete list of the agencies - 1. Intelligence Bureau 2. Narcotics Control Bureau 3. Enforcement Directorate 4. Central Board of Direct Taxes 5. Directorate of Revenue Intelligence 6. Central Bureau of Investigation 7. National Investigation Agency 8. Cabinet Secretariat (RAW) 9. Directorate of Signal Intelligence © Reuters This particular matter was brought to light by minister of state for home affairs G Kishan Reddy while responding to questions in the parliament. In his response, he cited the said document. It's also worth pointing out that the government is currently trying to get Facebook to eliminate end-to-end encryption so they can trace the messages back to the sender or receiver. While that sounds like a fair request for tracking terrorists and others who are a threat to the nation, we aren't sure everyone concerned about their privacy wouldn't find it intrusive. If Facebook gets rid of end-to-end encryption, not only the government but even hackers will be able to trace all the messages and more. Facebook isn't budging though, but we wonder what will happen in the future. And the fact that our government agencies have the authorization to get into our phones any time isn't helping the case either. Of course, Reddy didn't suggest that the agencies with access are indeed tapping our phones actively. However, it's hard to believe that some people out there can legally tap into our phones. It certainly raises a lot of questions about human rights violations among many others. Source: Lok Sabha Document View the full article

  14. Sidharth Malhotra is one B-town celebrity who likes to keep his style minimal and yet makes a maximalist statement with it. Sidharth's sneakers have the same vibe and even though they appear dirty, they are still a classier version. The original price of these sneakers is a whopping Rs. 52,229 but currently, they are available for Rs. 15,619 which makes for a great deal! © Instagram/Sidharth Malhotra Coming to his outfit, the Marjavaan actor sported a grey t-shirt and layered it with a distressed denim jacket on it. 16. A lot of millennials today barely have time to shine their shoes, leave alone getting into a serious relationship. Just like everything else in their life, a so called 'relationship' has to be fast paced, frivolous, with not much commitment or any work attached. While some are still shielded by their want and need of love, for many, it's just a concept that may or may not come their way, so they do whatever they can to feel it as temporarily as they should. © Getty images Heartbreaks have become a way of life and instead of experiencing the entirety of a heartbreak to give oneself a clean slate, a lot of people usually fill the void through another quick relationship, *** or dive deep in to work. But the most common result of a callous relationship's free lifestyle or a heartbreak is having casual *** with maybe one or two people who become constants in your life. While that's a terribly flawed concept, it works pretty well with fast-paced millennials and has been since a while now. 'Friends with benefits' is a noted phrase now and it has other variants too like 'f*ck buddies' or even 'hook ups'. But the logic remains the same. It's sort of a 'situationship' where you're having *** with each other but don't completely give in to each other's wants and needs and don't expect anything more than *** and a few cuddles post ***. © Getty Images Well, if you want to maintain this equation, it's rather easy with all the laws of physics and chemistry combined. You will always have physical satisfaction, your desires will be met each time and you won't have to commit to a thing, while you carry on in life with a boatload on your shoulder and an earworm stuck in your head. But if you do want to find a friend with benefit or already have one, you have to be sure they remain just that. Anything more than that is just murky territory. And if you cross that, you'll be left confused and will definitely start anticipating your next move with the person. If it's just ***, it should remain just that, unless both of you decide to explore the 'feelings' part of it, which in any case is a bad idea with the person you'd decided just to sleep with. So, in case you have a friend with benefits out there, here are the 5 simple rules to keep things casual and uncomplicated. (1) Stay Emotionally Neutral By emotionally neutral, we mean you can't get too attached. That's dangerous. If it's just *** then why do you need them to fill that extra emotional void too? Not like you're looking for a relationship right? Which also means you're not allowed to get jealous if they're hanging with anyone else or going on dates with other people. You guys share an absolutely different bond and if you do start to develop feelings, it's best to stay away then. (2) Keep Your Cuddles Minimal For the sake of this equation, I hope you're aware of the fact that certain chemicals are released in your brain post ***. And when these chemicals are released, people, mostly women become more emotionally attached. So, if you both are clear about the fact that it's just ***, maybe just keep it to that. Which means you don't have to cuddle post *** and act cosy like any couple would. If you feel the need for a cuddle then maybe you want something more than just ***. Also, if we're talking about cuddles, it's best to not sleep over either. You may wake up in the morning wanting to hug and cuddle the person who's given you a good night. Not a good idea! Also, sleeping together increases the dependency factor a notch. (3) Always Know This Equation Has A Shelf Life Eventually, it has to come to an end. What were you thinking? That you're going to remain *** buddies for life, even when you're 70? Sometimes in life you'd want to meet someone who you can probably spend your life with, but this is certainly not that person, unless of course, you both establish that. So, know that this is as temporary as a good beach holiday and that you don't owe each other anything. Also, be clear that one day this will come to an end, as all good things do. (4) Don't Communicate As often Nope, you're not a couple, you don't share something special and you're not here to stroke each other's ego or validate your existence. You're merely here to have a no-strings-attached sexual relationship which probably is a great stress-buster for the two of you. So, keep your conversation minimal. Obviously you'll be conversing when you do want to get together, but apart from that, the usual life updates and meme sharing etc. should be kept absolutely minimal. Unless of course you guys are friends an don't mind a banter every now and then. Which also indicates that you should not hook up say five times a week! That'll make you very dependent on *** to let go of whatever you're facing and you will in all probability get attached to the person you're seeing and sleeping with five times a week! (5) Choose Your Friend With Benefit Wisely This is very important. You don't want anyone who wouldn't want a no-strings-attached equation. I mean, if you're looking for a bit of a romantic fling along with a *** partner then it's a different ball game altogether but if you're looking for just ***, choose someone who's looking for just that too. Which means the person shouldn't be clingy or want to know more about you than what you want to tell them. They shouldn't be demanding or expect anything from you - obviously shouldn't be falling in love with you! Well, you really can't tell if that's going to happen in the beginning but you can read the signs clearly if someone starts developing feelings for you. That's when you know you have to nip it in the bud and distance yourself because you're far from committing to someone. As long as you know who you want and they want the same thing as well, you're good to go. Even though having a friend with benefits is an old concept, dating back to when sexual expression became a bit more free than it used to be, it's implications and the way it should be carried out remains the same till date. So, if you're in that transitioning phase in your life where you don't want a full blown relationship or even an emotional fling, you can always get comfort from another in ***, as long it's consensual and they're is treated right, by you. 17. The world of sports is not new to rivalries between participating nations. The political standoffs and cross-border tensions over the years, has placed India and Pakistan at loggerheads. The intense rivalry between the neighbouring countries has also transcended into sports which makes their meetings across sports a scintillating affair. Just like India and Pakistan, North and South Korea share a rivalry, whose seeds were sown back in the closing days of the second World War. A struggle for power and control of a devastated Korea saw two antagonistic states, which would later become separate countries of the Republic of Korea and South Korea, emerging with diametrically opposed political, economic and social systems. A three-year Korean War ensued, claiming the lives of over three million civilians and soldiers before leaving the two nations devastated. Since then, the two rival nations have been involved in a military standoff with periodic clashes. Owing to their political differences, the two countries have rarely faced off against each other in the world of sports. © Twitter But, despite their fierce rivalry, the two nations, as members of FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation, can be drawn against each other in international football competitions - something that pitted them against each other on the pitch recently. It's not too rare for the two sides to face off, but almost unheard of to play in North Korea's capital Pyongyang which has hosted the unique clash just once, in 1990. And, the last time the two sides met in a World Cup qualifier, in Seoul 10 years ago, North lost 1-0 before accusing South Korea of poisoning their players' food ahead of the match. © Twitter While sports partly broke the ice after some progress in 2018, the ties between North and South Korea are at a low which probably explains why their clash on recent clash was strange. In what turned out to be the weirdest World Cup qualifier in ages, the much-anticipated match was played with no fans, no media and, sadly, no goals. â North Korea vs South Korea â First match in the North in almost three decades ð Attendance: 0 â½ Result: 0-0https://t.co/Z5ZcoRupdb — Twitter Moments (@TwitterMoments) October 16, 2019 With popular stars like Son Heung-min (South Korea's No. 7) and Han Kwang Song (North Korea's No. 7), who play for Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus respectively, on display, the entire match was a closed event with no live broadcast, robbing the fans of the two countries the chance to watch their teams in action. And, the fact that North Korea has promised to provide footage of the match on DVD pretty much sums up the strangest football clash. © Twitter "We would need time for technical checks but despite some delays our people will be able to watch the game," a South Korean unification ministry official was quoted as saying by The Guardian on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the issue. If no one is there to watch did it even happen? 𤠗 stephanie (@honesteph) October 15, 2019 Before this match, two earlier qualifiers that had been scheduled for North Korea had to be switched to Shanghai after Pyongyang refused to raise the South's flag or play its anthem in the stadium. While many Korean football fans missed the opportunity of watching their respective teams in action, they'd be hopeful of better luck when North Korean football team travels to South for their away match in June next year. While the Korean War ended in 1953 with an armistice after the intervention of the United Nations, North and South Korea are, technically, still at war as the two countries reached a truce, but are yet to sign a peace treaty - whose effects are quite visibly hampering sports in the two countries.
  18. The International Space Station, as we all know, is currently the only fully functional space station in the Earth's lower orbit. It's the result of a partnership between European countries represented by the European Space Agency the United States, Japan, Canada, and Russia. Well, looks like there's going to be another space station by the year 2030 and it's going to be launched by none other than India. The same has been confirmed by the ISRO chief K Sivan during a press conference where he also talked a bit more about the project. © Reuters He made it a point to inform that India will not be joining the International Space Station (ISS) and launch its own space station, which will be an extension of the Gaganyaan project. “We have to sustain the Gaganyaan programme. So, subsequently, as a long-term plan, we are planning to have the space station in India. We are going to join the international community in manned missions to the moon, asteroids. We have a clear plan for the space programme,” Sivan said. The proposed space station will likely weigh 20 tonnes and it's said to be used for conducting microgravity experiments. India is targetting 2030 as the date to launch the space station and the preliminary plan is for the space station is to accommodate astronauts for up to 15-20 days in space. We still don't have a lot of details, but we hope to learn more after the completion of Gaganyaan mission. © Reuters As for the Gaganyaan mission, the government is said to have cleared a budget of Rs. 10,000 crore. It looks like there will be two flights from Sriharikota before the maiden flight with crew takes of sometime in 2022. ISRO's complete focus right now is on India's second moon mission, Chandrayan -2. It will take off on July 15 and will attempt to land near the South Pole of the Moon, which has remained an uncharted territory so far. You can learn more about the Chandrayan-2 mission right here.
  19. Shahid Kapoor is all set to entice his fans with his performance in his upcoming film, 'Kabir Singh'. Being touted as an intense love story, the film revolves around Kabir Singh (Shahid Kapoor) who fall in love with Preeti (Kiara Advani), his junior in college. Well, things change when their love story doesn't pan out the way they wanted it to. There's painful heartbreak and guess what? Shahid turns into a lovelorn man, trapped in the world of drugs and alcohol. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film is a remake of the popular Telugu movie 'Arjun Reddy'. For the film, Shahid really had to push himself, considering the body transformation the role required. At the age of 38, projecting a college boy with a chocolatey charm isn't that easy, but Shahid managed to pull off the character of young Kabir pretty well. You have to look a certain way to be convincing as a college boy on the big screen and Shahid left no stone unturned to ensure he looked apt for the role. For the character, he had to gain 8 kilos and then lose 14 kilos. View this post on Instagram As a star one is so conditioned to showcasing oneself at ones best. But as an actor one has to have the guts to show yourself at your worst. #kabirsingh in my blood. Hope you feel him too. A post shared by Shahid Kapoor (@shahidkapoor) on Apr 11, 2019 at 12:45am PDT “I wanted to look boyish for the younger portions to play a medical student. I didn't want a perfect body; one that was manicured or chiselled because that's not how college-going boys look. Seventy-five per cent of what you eat depends on your diet. I don't drink alcohol and am a vegetarian. Generally, I live a healthy lifestyle. To lose weight, I needed to severely cut the calories I consumed, and train harder. Even though we were training, the look was achieved more via the diet; not so much in the gym. We had two months to lose weight. I didn't want to rush into anything since that is not healthy.” Shahid told Mid-Day. Well, we can say a lot of hard work has gone into the making of this film and fans are waiting with bated breath to see Shahid nailing the character on the big screen. 'Kabir Singh' releases on 21st June 2019. Stay tuned for more such updates.

  22. Amazon has now made a device that lets you use any speaker and add Alexa services without compromising on your setup. Instead of using Amazon's own speaker, you can now add Alexa to any speaker that you use in your home. This can be a home theatre, a bookshelf speaker setup or in my case Sonos. © Amazon Amazon's new Echo Link Amp basically replaces the need of an amplifier or a receiver that is basically used to power speakers. Amazon Link and Link Amp are the perfect devices if you want to convert your home system smart. Having said that, neither of the two comes with in-built microphones which are essential for a standalone smart speaker. You will need to use an existing Amazon Echo device or the Alexa application on your smartphone in order to take advantage of these devices. © Amazon What's cool is that you can use an Echo dot and power a set of speakers with Amazon's new offering. I hooked up my Sonos Play 5 to test the Echo Link Amp and it was fairly easy to set up. However, the Amazon Link and Link Amp require a physical internet connection via an ethernet cable. It would have been awesome if it had some sort of wireless support but for now you will need to have your router nearby in order for the Link and Link amp to work. Performance In order to test the two devices, the best testing ground is at a house party. I hosted one a few days ago for my birthday and used the two devices to see how it fared in the real world. I connected the devices with my Sonos setup and an Echo dot to see if there was any noticeable difference in sound quality. © Amazon While using the Echo Link and Link amp, it was easy to switch audio sources with a simple press of a button. We played typical house party music i.e. some Hip-Hop, chill out and electronica. To be honest, there wasn't any noticeable difference between the Echo Link and the Echo Link amp even though the larger brother is supposed to be more powerful. We connected the speakers directly into the amp and the sound quality remained the same. The highs were the same as it would be without the amp variant and the story remained the same for the lows and mids. The main difference between the Echo Link and Link Amp is quite obvious, the larger brother has an in-built amp while the smaller Echo Link needs to be connected to an external amplifier. The Echo Link is probably my preferable choice simply because it is easy to set up with any speaker you own and is small enough to be discrete. Overall, it improves the audio quality of generic speakers. © Amazon The Echo Link Amp, on the other hand, does the job but we found it a bit disappointing simply because it did not affect the sound quality much. Even though it has an in-built amp, the output remained the same with no major noticeable improvements. The cool thing is that you can use the Echo Link amp for various purposes thanks to the available connections at the back. There's a dedicated connection for a sub-woofer or you can always use a generic aux connection to relay sound. If you want a more reliable and warm sound, you can hook up bookshelf speakers with an RCA wire. You can add additional speakers to the amp as you would on a home theatre with pan control. You even have the option to hook up the Echo link amp with an optical cable, a feature that many devices seem to ignore these days. Overall, the Echo Link amp is quite versatile even though you will get the same audio output as your speakers without an amp connection. The Final Say The Echo Link and Echo Link Amp are probably meant for audiophiles who want the added benefit of Alexa. It's an easy way to add core Alexa functionalities to any speaker without compromising your existing setup. Though both products don't offer much difference in sound quality when hooked up, it still is a great way to incorporate smart features. Alexa as a platform can be used for various purposes and it's great to see Amazon marry the two technologies together. The Echo Link retails in India for Rs Rs. 19,999 while the Echo Link Amp retails in India for Rs 29,999.
  23. Any Marvel fan would agree that end-credit scenes are an integral part of Marvel Cinematic Universe. For over 10 years, we've all sat through really, really long credits, just to get a few seconds of something more. Yes, they have been very important ever since Nick Fury showed up at the end of 'Iron Man' to talk to Tony Stark about the Avengers initiative. Since then, end-credit scenes have been instrumental in connecting 21 movies with each other and building an entire cinematic universe, that even Bollywood is trying to copy now. While not a single true fan would mind sitting for 15 minutes extra, this time we might not have to since it's being reported that 'Avengers: Endgame' will not have any end-credit scene. But tbh, I'm still not getting up from my seat until and unless all the credits are over because I don't trust the internet and of course, Marvel. I was actually a little disappointed after hearing this news at first because well, there won't be an iconic scene like the Earth's mightiest superheroes eating shawarmas after a big fight, but if you think about it, it actually makes sense. We've been calling this movie the end of an era for the longest time and giving the audience a scene about what's next doesn't really fit in well with that. Obviously, as the name suggests, this is the end, the culmination of 21 movies and it is all about finality. This is probably the last time we'll see everyone together and with the end of phase 3 of MCU, an end-credit scene would not really add to the movie in any way. Moreover, 'Endgame' will not just conclude the 'Infinity saga' but will also tie up the loose ends of each and every MCU movie that came before. It's basically like one big story coming to an end and that's why end-credits were crucial as a way to connect it all so effortlessly, but 'Endgame' doesn't have any need for it. So, as much as I have enjoyed all the end-credit scenes, it is perfectly okay for the Russo Brothers to give it a pass this time, because we already know the movie will be incredible in itself and we won't really need to look forward to what's next for some time.
  24. 'Avengers: Endgame' has now sold 2.5 million advance tickets before the final chapter in the Marvel Studios' Super Hero franchise Avengers hits the theatres tomorrow. According to BookMyShow: “This marks the highest ever advance ticket sale for a Hollywood film on the platform. 'Avengers: Endgame' is also the fastest film to have surpassed the 2 million advance ticket sales mark on BookMyShow.” Seems like nothing is going to slow down the ticket sales of the highest anticipated movies of this year. Even though the movie was leaked in full yesterday, it is not deterring fans from watching the movie in a proper theatre. Indians already broke the record earlier this week by pre-booking tickets for 'Avengers: Endgame'. In fact, over 1 million tickets were sold in 24 hours. © Marvel Studios Speaking about the audience reception, Ashish Saksena, COO - Cinemas, BookMyShow, said, “With just a few hours left for 'Avengers: Endgame' to hit the screens, the frenzy around the film is unprecedented. The cinemas are doing everything possible to match fans' demand for the film, including round-the-clock screenings as also opening up advance bookings for the entire week ahead. This has enabled BookMyShow to offer several more options to Marvel-lovers and cater to their excitement. As the craze around the film continues to intensify, we expect a mighty opening on Friday and a record-breaking first week.” © Marvel Studios It would be interesting to see how many more tickets will be booked once the movie has been released and more shows get added. It seems like ticket sales for Endgame won't slow down anytime soon. In fact, you're one of the people who doesn't have a ticket and want to avoid spoilers, you can follow our how-to guide here. For the first time ever in India, 'Avengers: Endgame' will be screened 24X7 in select theatres across India.
