Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has left the normal Ukrainians with no choice but to grab a rifle to protect their motherland. © Reuters They say desperate times call for desperate measures and we are now seeing more and more Ukrainian citizens, including some of their well-renowned athletes, taking up guns to stop the Russian troops from making further inroads into their territory. A few days ago, former Ukrainian tennis star Sergiy Stakhovsky also posted a picture on Instagram, where he could be seen wearing an army uniform and holding an assault rifle in his hand. Through his post he told the whole world he has taken up arms to stop Russia’s aggression in his homeland. Calling Russia’s invasion of Ukraine a “disaster”, he urged the whole world to unite against the Russian President Vladimir Putin. Ever since the lockdown of 2020, Sonu Sood emerged as a real-life hero and saviour as he helped a lot of people reach their homes and also financially. It’s been almost two years since then and his philanthropic ways continue to the day. Recently, a video of the actor went viral on social media where he could be seen saving the life of a 19-year-old boy who was caught in a major road accident. In the video, Sonu approaches the car that’s been badly smashed and then carries the boy who is unconscious in his arms to the hospital. Watch the video below: View this post on Instagram According to a report, the accident happened at a flyover in Moga, Punjab, which is Sonu Sood’s hometown. The actor was passing by when he noticed the accident and decided to put his cape on. The car was initially interlocked but Sonu somehow opened it up and took the boy to the hospital. Upon reaching the hospital, the doctor reportedly said that the accident could’ve proved fatal for the boy had it not been the actor’s timely help. Reacting to the video, a lot of people hailed Sonu as the “real-life hero”. One user wrote, “Aur sirf sonu sood he bacha sakta tha usse... #riphumanity Busy taking videos”. Another user wrote, “Yaar ye sach mee bahut achhe ensaan h”. One comment read, “I agree he is very good human. But what about others who r at scene? They r busy clicking video? It just feels strange.
