  3. TikTok is one of the Chinese apps banned in India and even though âdesiâ users supported the government's decision to ban the app, we were looking for a substitute all along and it looks like we have already found one- Instagram Reels. Facebook confirmed that they are coming up with Instagram Reels in India. The 15-second video format platform is a saviour for people who were active on TikTok and enjoyed the app. This video format is going to fill the space vacated by the ban and now people can put similar content on Instagram. Instagram Reels is all about its users sharing short format videos on their feed for their followers. Also, Instagram Reels is on a test in India right now, which means that now everyone can access it and will be rolled out in planned phases. In Brazil, Germany, and France, Instagram Reels is already live for testing and India has now joined the league. As the feature went live on peopleâs phones- the users noticed the similarity between TikTok and Instagram Reels and soon the social media was flooded with memes. Not to forget, Mark Zuckerbergâs smart timing to launch Instagram Reels. Checkout the memes here- #instagramreels First too much tiktok videos on insta and now reels. 4. For the majority of the country, this has been the toughest time they've ever had to go through. We can try to empathize with everyone who was left stranded due to the pandemic but we will never truly know the hardships they've had to go through, the hardships they're still going through. There are plenty of stories about people trying to get home and even with everything stacked against them, they're resilient and doing anything they can to survive. We would also like to bring focus on people who were left with no place to call home and that is what 70-year-old Leelavati Dubey had faced during the lockdown. © Mojo Story/Youtube Recently, Barkha Dutt did a report of her where she talked to her about her current situation and how she ended up alone at Bandra's railway station with just one bag and a packet of biscuits. Her story is one of the most heart-wrenching things ever; she had travelled to Mumbai from Delhi to take care of her son but was thrown out soon after and was left stranded during the lockdown. In tears, she narrated the horrific story and how her son even beat her up while drunk. Emotionally talking about just how alone she was since her husband's death, she said she would even probably have to resort to begging as she had no money with her. She was trying to get back to Delhi but even there, she had nowhere to go since all her children didn't want to deal with her and called paagal. We went back to Bandra Station to meet Leelavati, a 70 year old abandoned lady whose story you saw @themojo_in. She was given room to sleep by Railway Police, staff donated money, she'll be on a train to Delhi today. We'll find her a home. Watch her story https://t.co/RY8BVN8glG pic.twitter.com/ipYMTEVhhr â barkha dutt (@BDUTT) May 31, 2020 Even Barkha Dutt seemed to break down while talking to her and listening to all the atrocities she has faced by her own children nonetheless. But, then came the power of the internet and the happy ending. A couple of days ago, Barkha Dutt reported that she was given a room to sleep and was going to be on the train to Delhi. @themojo_in and @BDUTT got Leelavati ji to Delhi! She is safe, and happy Soon her words on @themojo_in pic.twitter.com/Ardv7EnVh9 â Karishma Asoodani (@tweettokarishma) June 1, 2020 Then came the best news ever and proof that the internet can actually help save lives. Social entrepreneur Kiran Verma has decided to take responsibility for her the internet's beloved 'Leelavati Dadi' and has essentially 'adopted' her. Sharing the news on Twitter, he was delighted to announce that he has been blessed with another grandmother. I am really humbled to see the kindness of @SanjayAzadSln ji. He was not a politician today, he was a son to her providing the best possible support.@BDUTT my salute to your journalism through which, I am blessed with another Grandmother. Thank you everyone. https://t.co/WEUkgWHHXf â Kiran Verma (@VermaKiran) June 1, 2020 This is the most wholesome ending ever and I'm so glad she has found a family that is worthy of her. So guys here is the update on #Leelavati Dadi. She has been tested for #COVID19 and we are waiting to get the report. But to make her safe we won't bring her out for three four days. She is doing great and very happy with us. Anyone can Whatsapp me at 9810670347 and talk to her pic.twitter.com/AQcpS2q8Jm â Kiran Verma (@VermaKiran) June 1, 2020 Look at that smile! 5. Saif Ali Khan's personal style is so relatable that everyone seems to adore his rather fuss-free wardrobe that has tons of things to take inspiration from. What we've noticed in recent times is the fact that Saif Ali Khan loves off-duty looks more than his work looks. In fact, his casual looks also seemingly look like more thought has been put in them. And in general, they're far more exciting. Case in point, the time Saif Ali Khan paired bright red espadrilles with a casual outfit. In fact, he's a fan of espadrilles in general, and you'll find that most of his casual looks are accessorised with this type of shoe. In addition to that, recently he wore a Sunday-brunch appropriate outfit which was again accessorised with espadrilles. Take a look here: © Viral Bhayani While weekdays are for crisp pants and shirts, weekends are designated for more laidback and relaxed looks. For these two days especially, you can pull out the pair of shorts that you've always wanted to wear but never had enough reason to. Take a cue from this 49-year-old actor, who makes sure that his off-days outfits look nothing like the regular workwear outfits. For these days especially, he saves quirky patterned shorts or shorts in vibrant colours. The thing about these unusual and rarely spotted silhouettes is the fact that they bring out a whole new personality of yours upon wearing it. © Viral Bhayani Saif stepped out with Taimur and Kareen Kapoor Khan in the most vibrant shorts we've seen in a while. These shorts were in a vibrant green hue. The actor looked like he was stepping out for a Sunday brunch, and honestly, or even grocery shopping for that matter. Last year, was great for Saif as his Netflix original Sacred Games' second season came out. This was followed by his film Laal Kaptaan, wherein he played the role of a Naga Sadhu. This year too the actor has hit films in his kitty like Tanhaji and Jawani Jaaneman and clearly, Saif is not only experimenting with his on-screen roles but also with his casual Sunday outfits. 6. Observed on the 4th of February every year, World Cancer Day is an increasingly important event, considering the rise of carcinogens in our environment and poor lifestyle choices. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, âover 11.57 lakh new cancer patients are registered and 7.84 million cancer patients are dying every year,â - a number thatâs worrying for anyone invested in their health. Cancer can affect anyone - even some of our favourite celebs have been unfortunate enough to be diagnosed; some of them however, have successfully fought against difficult recoveries and beaten back cancer into remission. Here are a few of them, and the inspirational stories behind their recovery. Yuvraj Singh © Sportskeeda Mere months after being declared âMan of the Tournamentâ at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was diagnosed with stage-I lung cancer in his left lung, at Cancer Research Institute in Boston, United States as well as the Indiana University Melvin & Bren Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis, Indiana where he was cared for by famed Dr. Lawrence Einhorn - the same oncologist who was behind cyclist Lance Armstrongâs recovery process. Singh would read Armstrongâs book Itâs Not About The Bike which shared his thoughts on recovery from his own bout with the disease, going on to successfully return to cricket a year later in 2012 as one of the most resilient and dedicated players of the game. Manisha Koirala © Facebook Nepali actress Manisha Koirala was a famous face in several Indian films by the time she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012, with over 60 films under her belt. Koiralaâs cancer was late-stage and quite serious - âcancer had spread like a bowl of Rice Krispies all over the organs,â she would later remark. She flew out to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York for a gruelling recovery programme. After an 11-hour surgery, Koirala went through 18 sessions of chemotherapy spread over the course of half a year, and on finally recovering, she penned a memoir called Healed: How Cancer Gave Me a New Life. Today, she continues to publicly spread awareness of the disease and campaign for better cancer treatment and diagnosis. Anurag Basu © Facebook Basuâs journey in the film industry began with a tough journey of 11 years from his days as an extra to his first time in the directorâs chair, but things took a turn for the worse in 2004 as he was diagnosed with leukemia in 2004, while shooting his third film, Gangster. Being told by doctors that he had only two months left to live, Basu refused to give in and continued his treatment while directing parts of the film from his hospital bed. Not only has he been cancer-free since Gangster, he also went on to become a critical and commercial success, launching Kangana Ranautâs career with a Filmfare debut award. Today, he continues to visit and speak to cancer patients and has shared that he has penned a script based on his experiences with cancer, which he hopes to turn into a book or film someday. Irrfan Khan © Metro After a great deal of public speculation, actor Irrfan Khan revealed a shocking diagnosis back in early 2018, when doctors detected a neuroendocrine tumour in his body - similar to the kind of cancer that claimed Steve Jobsâ life in 2011. Khan travelled to the States for treatment, explaining the process as âdifficultâ yet sharing that support from friends, family and fans would keep him going through the ordeal. Taking close to a year to recover, Khan returned to India for good in February last year, along with an emotional note that expressed his thoughts and gratitude for making it through. Tahira Kashyap © Instagram Filmmaker and writer Tahira Kashyap was diagnosed with stage I breast cancer in September 2018 - a tough diagnosis that resulted in her eventually undergoing a mastectomy. Early on during her treatment, Kashyap was asked by family to remain hushed about her disease - although she soon decided to step forward and normalise conversations around cancer and help spread awareness through her social platforms. She went on to shave her head during her chemotherapy and even displayed her surgery scars - all while her husband Ayushmann Khurrana worked on hit films such as Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho - the couple have shared their support for each other in several interviews hence, though Kashyap has maintained her candidness on being her own person through those tough days. âBefore belonging to any industry or person, I am me. I need to belong to myself first. This was my journey and I felt more in tune with myself when I was talking about this. Also, I had funny, weird takes on my condition, which sort of helped,â she said to Khaleej Times. Sonali Bendre © Instagram Actress Sonali Bendre was diagnosed with stage IV cancer in 2018. And while she never revealed the exact type of cancer, she stated in interviews that she was given a 30% chance of survival, owing to a late diagnosis and the degree to which the cancer had aggressively taken hold of her. After a harrowing journey through chemotherapy and extremely invasive surgery, she returned to India later that December and has since returned to films - while also making public appearances at cancer research and treatment forums. âInformation, awareness, and action,â she asserts on Instagram, âthatâs what I needed during my diagnosis, and I believe everybody should have access to. Our hospitals have the critical amenities and affordable facilities needed. But not a lot of people know about it.â Sheâs also appeared at healthcare conventions such as CAHOCON, where she shared the importance of checkups and early diagnostics. View the full article
  7. Game streaming is being touted as the future for the industry and companies like Google and Microsoft have already invested heavily in game streaming infrastructure. Microsoft extended the preview of Project xCloud for Indian users and other regions, however it is currently still in the beta stage. While Google Stadia is officially available to use in the US and UK, the platform has suffered a rocky launch due to some missing features and lack of third-party games. Microsoft, on the other hand, is going all-in by adding even more games to the service at no extra cost and already boasts a larger library than Google Stadia. © Microsoft and Google Project xCloudâs recent addition of Destiny 2, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Sid Meier's Civilization VI amongst 12 other new games, brings the total number of games in the library to 80+. Whatâs impressive is that Microsoftâs streaming service has not even officially launched yet, while Google Stadia is currently available to purchase in the US and UK. © Microsoft However, while streaming services are the future of gaming, Google Stadia currently lacks a comprehensive library that can make people switch from traditional consoles. Game streaming will be an important service in countries like India and other Asian regions. If you want to know why, you can read our detailed feature here. © Youtube_Gaming Zone As of now, Google Stadia is currently not available in India or in any other region for that matter, apart from the aforementioned countries. Microsoft, on the other hand, has already opened up its services for preview in every region that has Xbox Live support. It is disappointing to see that Google Stadia still lacks a comprehensive library after launch and things are going to get even harder when the new consoles will launch in Holiday 2020. Having said that, Google has already announced that the service will be adding more than a hundred games in 2020. By the time Google Stadia users get more games to play on the service, we would already have the next generation of consoles by Xbox and PlayStation. Regardless of which streaming services people use, it all boils down to the library of games available and which will offer more value. Currently, as it stands, Microsoftâs Project xCloud offers more value due to the number of playable games for the service. With the Xbox Series X launch scheduled for later this year, we can expect Microsoft to expand the service even more for their users to gain an upper hand over their competitors. 9. LONDON: Record-breaking Liverpool beat Tottenham 1-0 to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to a yawning 16 points on Saturday as Southampton gained sweet revenge over high-flying Leicester. Chelsea and Manchester United secured comfortable wins in the race for the top four but 10-man Arsenal fell further off the pace after a limp draw at Crystal Palace. Jurgen Klopp´s Liverpool secured their 20th win in 21 Premier League matches thanks to Roberto Firmino´s 37th-minute goal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs had their chances to take at least a point as Son Heung-min and Giovani Lo Celso missed the target with the goal gaping in the final 15 minutes. The European champions have won 61 points in the Premier League -- the most any side has ever registered after 21 games in a single season across Europe´s big five leagues, assuming three points for a win. Their scarcely credible lead over second-placed Leicester means they are almost certain to claim their first English top-flight title for 30 years barring a calamitous collapse. "We played super football in their box, but for 90-95 minutes you have to be ready," Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp told Sky Sports. "We were, but we still have to do better." Speaking about Liverpool´s record he said: "It´s special. To win the number of games, to always be ready to fight, that´s what the boys do. "The only thing is that you don´t get anything for best starts. The only thing we´re interested in is what we can get in the summer. This league is so strong. We have to be ready." - Leicester lose - Earlier, Southampton claimed their fifth win in their past six games in all competitions as they came from behind at the King Power Stadium to beat Leicester 2-1. Dennis Praet fired the hosts into an early lead, but Stuart Armstrong´s deflected effort quickly pulled Hasenhuettl´s men level. Danny Ings then scored his 10th goal in 11 games eight minutes from time and the visitors survived a late scare when Jonny Evans´s header was ruled out by VAR for offside. Chelsea put their struggles at Stamford Bridge behind them with a 3-0 win over Burnley, who slid ever closer to the bottom three. Jorginho opened the scoring from the penalty spot and Tammy Abraham gave Frank Lampard´s men breathing space before half-time. Callum Hudson-Odoi then scored his first Premier League goal by converting Cesar Azpilicueta´s cross at the back post. United ended a three-game winless run in style with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial once again leading the way for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer´s men in a 4-0 demolition of bottom-of-the-table Norwich. Rashford marked his 200th appearance for the club with two goals and Martial and substitute Mason Greenwood were also on target. Solskjaer was delighted with this team´s performance, which leaves them in fifth spot in the table, five points behind fourth-placed Chelsea. But after the match he took fans at Old Trafford to task after angry protests aimed at unpopular owners the Glazer family and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward. "As a club we´ve got to stick together, we´ve got to be united, we are a family," said the United boss. "I can only say from when I´ve been here I´ve been backed by the owners, I´ve been backed by Ed and they´re supporting me, so for me, make sure they stick together." Woodward has become a particular target for supporters in recent months, given the club´s on-field problems and his record in the transfer market. - Aubameyang sees red - Arsenal are now 11 points off the Champions League places as their revival under Mikel Arteta was halted by a red card for captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace. Aubameyang gave the Gunners a deserved first-half lead but the Eagles levelled thanks to Jordan Ayew´s deflected effort before a VAR review turned a yellow card for Aubameyang into a red for a reckless challenge on Max Meyer. Wolves were held 1-1 at home by Newcastle while Everton bounced back from an embarrassing FA Cup exit to a youthful Liverpool side thanks to a moment of magic from Richarlison to beat Brighton 1-0. During Spurs´ match against Liverpool, injured Tottenham forward Harry Kane tweeted an image of himself in his hospital bed following successful surgery on his damaged hamstring. He wrote: "First day of recovery starts now!" Defending champions Manchester City travel to Aston Villa on Sunday, 17 points behind Liverpool.
  10. The way Delhi's weather is treating us right now, with slaps of chilly winds in the bone-chilling winters; looks like 'Dilli Ki Sardi' is going to get far more worse than the song that came out in 2003. While as kids we took the winter vacations for granted, as adults we are paying for it by waking up at 8 to go to office. If waking up wasn't tough already, we also have to deal with the tantrums of cabs drivers who take advantage of the fact that winters and auto rickshaws don't really go hand in hand. © BCCL But, not anymore! Thanks to this autowala and his genius 'jugaad'. What he did is not rocket science, but a clever hack that we never thought of. Recently, a Twitter user shared a GIF of an autorickshaw with most part wrapped with bubble wrap to stop wind from entering the passengers seat at the back. The Twitter user wrote, "Autowala won my heart! Simple technique but really effective to save the passenger from Dilli ki sardi!" Autowala won my heart! 11. Even though Shah Rukh Khan has been in the industry for more than two decades now, his fashion game still remains indubitable. His style has evolved over time and has gotten only better. We swooned over his uber-cool way to accessorise back then and now, and his appearances in classic suits or relaxed outfits are unmissable. © viralbhayani Recently, he was spotted in a subdued and a casual avatar. His airport game looked like it has evolved by miles as he was seen wearing ill-fitted jeans that are extremely baggy. A leap that was least expected from SRK happened and we couldn't stop digging his look. © viralbhayani Speaking of extra-long or extra baggy pants, even Ranveer was wearing them. We loved how he was seen making a statement in such ill-fitted jeans and still looked dapper doing so. On the other hand, when the 'Badshah Of Bollywood' styled his baggy pants, we must say, he did it better than Ranveer could. Looks like someone else is ready to take the throne. © viralbhayani © viralbhayani It's not just Ranveer or SRK who have delved into it but even Tiger Shroff was seen turning heads in such dope pants. The unaltered style is definitely the right way to look relaxed and stylish. As for SRK's overall airport ensemble, he wore a plaid bomber jacket with patchwork baggy pants. If this is not experimental, we don't know what is. Must say, SRK is truly ageing in reverse when it comes to his sartorial sensibilities. View the full article
  12. The modern-day Indian cricket team has become a force to be reckoned with. Once terrified of fast-paced Australian and Pakistani bowlers, the Indian bowling attack itself has evolved into a pacing superpower. Add to that the extensive and steady batting lineup spearheaded by the Indian skipper Virat Kohli, Team India is virtually unbeatable at home. In the first ever Day-Night Test match to be held in India, Kohli and Co. showed their mettle in the longest format of the game at the prestigious Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Thanks to the extraordinary fast-ball lineup of Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami, the entire Bangladesh batting order collapsed on the first day having scored just 106 runs. Sharma's 5-for combined with Yadav's three-wicket haul was the highlight the the pink-ball debut on Day 1. While this was Team India's first pink-ball win, it also happens to be the fourth straight Test match that they have won by more than an innings. Ahead of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, the Indians hosted Faf du Plessis for a three-match Test series. After winning the first match by 203 runs in Visakhapatnam, they went on to seal the series win with innings victories in Mumbai and Ranchi. 15. The Beyerdynamic Beat Byrd wired in-ear earphones showed up for review at a time when the 3.5mm headphone jack is becoming obsolete. Seriously, I didn't think I'd be reviewing wired in-ear earphones in 2019. But you know what? It's earphones like these that make me want to use smartphones and other audio equipment that have an audio jack. Trust me, I've been using the Beyerdynamic Beat Byrd earphones for the last couple of weeks to listen to all my music, both when I am just chilling at home and on the go, and I've been loving it. Let me tell you all about it - Design & Build Quality In terms of the looks, these look like very basic. You see, Beyerdynamic has been making audio equipment for a long time now. Their products are best known for audio quality, not much for the design aesthetics. It's one of those brands that focus on performance over looks. © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer So when you look at the Beat Byrd and give it a listen, you'll quickly realize that the company's objective was to make a piece of hardware that's more functional. The earpiece housing is made out of plastic and you get silicon ear tips. There are no fancy rugged braided cables to be seen here and all you get is a cable made out of rubber. These also happen to be one of the most affordable products from the company, which explains why it doesn't look all that fancy. They're certainly not going to grab any attention like, say, the AirPods do, but the audiophiles around you will definitely appreciate your choice. Also, they're supremely comfortable. I literally had them on for multiple hours the other day without experiencing fatigue. © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer And since we're talking about the build quality, I think it's a good time to point out that these earphones lack a remote or mic. So yes, you won't be able to take calls or switch/ play/ pause music. It'll obviously come as a surprise for most people, but that shouldn't really bother you if you're picking these earphones strictly for listening to music. Beyerdynamic Beat Byrd Audio Quality Before I talk about the audio quality, I'd like to point out that it's extremely important to pick the right size of ear tips for a snug fit. That's how you'll be able to enjoy the music and get the most out of this pair of earphones. In fact, that holds true for all the earphones, because if they don't fit well enough, then you're not going to experience bass. The Beat Byrd comes with a couple of ear tips inside the box, so be sure you play around with the fit before jumping into music. © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer That's the first thing I did before listening to any music and boy was I surprised by the audio quality. Alright, I am not going to say that these are best sounding earphones or headphones that I've ever used. The 1More Quad Driver earphones and the Sennheiser HE 1 still take the cake for that, but the Beat Byrd is certainly one of the best wired in-ear earphones I've used in my recent memory. I started listening to my usual Spotify playlist to get an idea of how good they are. But as soon as I connected it to my Pixel 3a XL and popped them in, I was quite surprised by the audio quality. And that's when I started exploring more music, going back to my old playlist to find some classic funk and hip-hop music. © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer The Beyerdynamic Beat Byrd is a pair of bass heavy earphones. If you're not into them, then these aren't for you. But one of the things that I really liked is that the bass had more depth than I had expected. The way they're tuned is extremely warm and friendly, and the bass is clearly given more supremacy. If you primarily listen to hip-hop music Tupac's 'Until the End of Time' Album. Or try listening to something like Fat Larry's 'Band - Act Like You Know', you'll love it. The Final Say You can pick up the Beyerdynamic Beat Byrd for just Rs. 2,199, which, as mentioned earlier, makes it the company's one of the most affordable products. At that price, it's really hard to criticize it. Yes, the design could have been a little better, but it's important to understand that it's not always about the design. If you like bass-heavy earphones, then you find it an absolute pleasure to use these earphones. The audio quality is simply addictive. Overall, I'll say that Beyerdynamic Beat Byrd's bass-heavy sound is something that you'll absolutely fall in love with. Even without any discounts, these are simply awesome for the price. So, just go ahead and pick one up.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was left heartbroken after a painful second-leg defeat at the hands of Liverpool in the recently-concluded UEFA Champions League. The Barcelona talisman turned out to be the star of the day in the first-leg clash where he scored two goals, including a venomous free-kick, to hand the Spanish giants a 3-0 win. But, the second-leg fixture saw Barcelona bottling their 3-0 lead and succumbing to a 4-3 defeat (on aggregate) as the Jurgen Klopp side scripted one of the most memorable comebacks in the history of the competition. If their Champions League exit had fans up in arms, Barcelona's misery was further exploited by Valencia who shocked Ernesto Valverde's men with a 2-1 victory in the Copa del Rey final. On the other hand, Messi claimed an unwanted record of not winning a final after finding the back of the net. © Reuters Messi has previously made no secret of how painful the recent turn of events has been, but it appears that the 31-year-old gets little sympathy at home. In a recent interview, Messi revealed how his son Mateo (born in 2015) uses Liverpool's astounding comeback against Barcelona to taunt his father at home. “We played at home, and last time we kicked it about, he would tell me, 'I'm Liverpool, who beat you'. 'You are Barca, and I'm Liverpool'," Messi was quoted as saying by TyCSports. View this post on Instagram FELIZ DÍA MI VIDA !!!! ððð A post shared by Leo Messi (@leomessi) on May 5, 2019 at 8:03am PDT Ever since making his team debut with Barcelona in 2004, Messi has managed to carve his own niche on the back of consistent performances that allowed him to become one of the club legends. In 687 appearances for Barcelona, Messi has scored 603 goals and won a plethora of trophies including six Copa del Reys and four Champions League crowns. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Leo Messi (@leomessi) on Apr 8, 2019 at 12:37am PDT But, despite all his might and glory, Messi appears to be struggling to impress his son Mateo who is also known to cheer for Barcelona's arch-rivals Real Madrid. “He's watching TV and he screams goal for Real Madrid. He does it on purpose against his brother. Everyone watching Madrid, they score, Thiago gets angry, and Mateo goes 'goaaaal for Madrid!'," the Argentina captain revealed.

  18. In just a week after becoming the fastest film to gross more than $1 billion worldwide, Marvel's 'Avengers: Endgame' is well on its way to beat James Cameron's 'Avatar' and become the highest grossing film ever. That's right, 'Avengers: Endgame' has crossed the $2 billion mark in record time and has already beaten 'Titanic' to become the second highest-grossing film ever worldwide. We reckon 'Endgame' is likely to beat 'Avatar' because it's been adding millions of dollars every day. The blockbuster is racking up numbers at an unbelievable rate, really. 'Avatar' reached $2 billion in 47 days of release, whereas 'Avengers: Endgame' managed to pull it off in just 11 days. 'Endgame' has already beaten the likes of 'Titanic' and 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens', both of which have been holding their spots for quite some time now. We think it's only a start of what should be an unprecedented box office run. © Marvel Even, say, if there's a considerable drop-off in the coming weeks due to the arrival of 'Detective Pikachu' and 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters', we're pretty optimistic that it'll hit the numbers over a period of time. Unlike 'Avatar', which was a one-of-a-kind 3D sci-fi epic known for it's CGI interacts. 'Avengers: Endgame' marks the end of a saga. It ends phase 3 of MCU, so the film will continue to be a massive draw for a number of weeks to come. Not to mention, the die-hard MCU fans will want to experience the three-hour long movie again, leading to repeat viewings. © Marvel And as the crowd continues to watch it, more casual audiences may check it out to see what the buzz is all about. Who'd want to miss a blockbuster after all? According to the recent numbers reflected on Wikipedia, 'Avengers: Endgame' has currently grossed $2,188,698,638 worldwide. It's shy of roughly $500 million to top 'Avatar'. Considering the fact that the movie managed to do so much in just 11 days, we're pretty excited to see how the movie does in the next few weeks.
  19. With the ICC World Cup 2019 just a month away, the captain of the Pakistan cricket team, Sarfraz Ahmed, was found making some rather bold statements during a press conference ahead of leaving for England. Considering themselves as the 'underdogs' of the tournament, Ahmed believes that the level of pressure they will be carrying on their shoulders starting their World Cup campaign against the Windies on 31st May 2019, will be manageable. "Look, when we go as favourites, then it's a problem, but if we go as underdogs then other teams feel the danger, so I think being underdogs is good for us and eases the pressure," he said. Eyebrows were raised only when Ahmed mentioned Virat Kohli's Team India in his comments. "For us all nine matches are important so we will take every match as a match against India," said the 31-year-old. "We have beaten India in a bigger event recently so we will have that advantage.” The skipper was referring to their victory in the Champions Trophy final in 2017, in which Ahmed and team dominated the Men in Blue, while winning the match by 180 runs. Pakistan have also won the 1992 World Cup and the 2009 World Twenty20. However, when it comes to the World Cup, India and Pakistan have clashed six times, none of which were won by the perennial rivals of India. As expected, as soon as the statement was made available online, the hardcore fans of the Indian cricket team trolled the wicket-keeper batsman hard and left nothing to the imagination: Meanwhile We INDIANS and INDIAN TEAM be like pic.twitter.com/Cir8KThb1D — Silly Strom (@SillyStrom) April 23, 2019 2017 isko recent lagta hai. — Rahul (Pray for Sri Lankað±ð° ) (@rk5444) April 23, 2019 Looks like he has forgotten the 2 embarrassing defeats against India in Asia cup recently ðð — Abhi Panchal (@iamabhi1909) April 23, 2019 India is 6 - 0 to Pakistan in the World cups, where does this lad live? — ðð ððð®ð¿ðð ðµð²ð¿ð² (@hathnostalgia) April 22, 2019 I don't give a damn what Safaraaz says — Raman Chakrabarty (@RamanChakrabar2) April 23, 2019 Ahmed and his boys will be participating in a three-game warm-up followed by a five-match ODI series and a solitary Twenty20 International with the Englishmen before the World Cup takes place in England and Wales. While Team India's World Cup 2019 journey will begin from 6th June 2019 when they go head to head with the South Africans in the Rose Bowl Cricket Ground in West End, Hampshire. India and Pakistan are scheduled to lock horns on 16th June 2019 and you DO NOT want to miss this one.

  21. In a recent drop test, the iPhone XS Max proved to be tougher than the Samsung' Galaxy S10+ and won by a considerable margin. Having said that, both phones were not as break-resistant as much we hoped them to do however the iPhone XS Max proved to be tougher. © YouTube Apple generally does not reveal what it uses at the exterior of the XS Max whereas Samsung uses Corning's new Gorilla Glass 6 at the front of the S10+. The test was carried out by YouTube channel PhoneBuff where a machine was used to let the two devices fall from a height of 1 meter. Both devices were dropped onto their corners, front and back. If any of the smartphones are still functional, they are then dropped from a height of 1.5 meters for about 10 more times. Results The back of both smartphones broke but the Galaxy S10+'s back showed more damage than the iPhone XS Max. It won the first round where the iPhone XS Max could withstand more damage. When it came to corners, both devices did not experience any damage and was called a tie. © YouTube When dropped on the front, the iPhone XS Max suffered damage only on one particular quadrant of the screen whereas the Galaxy S10+ didn't perform too well. The in-display fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy S10+ also stopped working whereas the FaceID remained unaffected. The iPhone won this round as well. PhoneBuff gave the overall win to the iPhone, with a score of 36. The S10+ pulled in a 34. If you would like to see the video for yourself, take a look below:
  22. When it comes to budget smartphones and the Indian market, Xiaomi has managed to build a brand name that delivers smartphones with aggressive pricing. It's not only the pricing that matters, but smartphones also need to work and need to work well. Redmi, now a sub-brand of Xiaomi has managed to do just that, deliver great smartphones with an attractive price. However, Xiaomi steps up the game with the Redmi Note 7 Pro with upgraded specifications and a camera that can challenge even some of the top-tier smartphones. Xiaomi has also upgraded the design with captivating colours for users who prefer to be trendy and fashionable. It retails in India for Rs 13,990 and comes in different configurations. It has a 48-megapixel primary camera paired with a 5-megapixel sensor for portrait shots at the rear and a 13-megapixel sensor selfie shooter. We've been using the smartphone for a while to find out whether it's still the king of budget smartphones. Here's our review of the Redmi Note 7 Pro: Design And Display Xiaomi has completely overhauled the Redmi Note series with a beautiful gradient design that catches the light. It's something similar to what we've seen on other smartphones. However, the Redmi Note 7 Pro stands out from the crowd thanks to its bold colours. What's cool about the design is that the smartphone has an all-glass design both at the front and the back with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. This makes the smartphone a tad bit heavier than the previous iterations; however, we like the solid feel to the smartphone. We particularly like the Nebula Red colour which we got to see at the launch event. At the front, Xiaomi as a dewdrop notch display that removes the additional bezels you may have seen in previous models. The design of the smartphone feels very premium and very similar to what you would find on the iPhone XR. It feels solid and does not feel like a budget smartphone from any angle. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla Xiaomi also retains the headphone jack which is always a plus in our books and has now added Type-C support. We can finally transfer files faster and charge a Redmi smartphone quicker than ever before. In addition, the Redmi Note 7 Pro also has a p2i nano-coating which protects the smartphone from accidental spills. It's not water-resistant, but it will protect your smartphone from water spills in your bathroom. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla When it comes to the display, the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch full-HD+ LTPS LCD display with a resolution 1080x2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. For a smartphone that costs less than Rs 15,000, the display is quite sharp and accurate for an LCD. Sure, it's not the best you find as compared to flagship level smartphones but it does a fair job at colour reproduction and brightness. The colours on the display do not look oversaturated and look close to real-life. The brightness is also solid as it comes in handy when viewing it directly under sunlight. It has a brightness level of 477 nits which is quite impressive for an LCD panel. Camera © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The Redmi Note 7 Pro's star attraction is its 48 MP rear Sony IMX 586 sensor that delivers some of the most amazing pictures we've seen on a budget smartphone. We've seen this sensor on the Honor View 20 before and it manages to deliver some great details and clarity in images. It captures the right colours and delivers some of the most beautiful pictures in HDR mode. In fact, sometimes we couldn't believe we shot these images with a budget smartphone. Most of these pictures were shown in 21MP however you can always take the full 48MP images by toggling the feature in the settings. Budget smartphones tend to struggle in low-light photography however Xiaomi has introduced its new Night Mode in MIUI 10. The new model does manage to take brighter images in low light which the budget smartphone was unable to do previously. The dynamic range also plays a crucial role in delivering these shots. It works very similar to Google's Night Shot as it combines different a series of images taken in different contrast levels to give you a better low-light image. Overall, we were quite pleased with the camera performance and even raises the question for the need of flagship level smartphones. Sure, flagship smartphones have great cameras but the gap is being closed quite rapidly thanks to smartphones like Redmi Note 7 Pro. Gallery View this post on Instagram Pictures shot using the #redminote7pro. Loving the night mode and it's quite decent from a phone that doesn't break the bank. #xiaomi #smartphones #gadgets #techie #technology #tech A post shared by Akshay Bhalla (@editorinchief) on Mar 10, 2019 at 11:44pm PDT Software Performance The Redmi Note 7 Pro ships with MIUI 10 and we would like to address the elephant in the room. MIUI 10 does have advertisements and if you wish to disable them you can do it by following these steps. Having said that, these advertisements are a bit annoying especially when you install a new application. Xiaomi has a security app that scans newly installed applications that have advertisements embedded within it. You can easily turn off the feature however it is a bit jarring when you kept getting bombarded with advertisements. If you want a seamless, experience, we suggested you follow the steps above. If you look beyond the ads, MIUI 10 looks quite clean and visually appealing with satisfying animations and overall stability. You have usual functions like dual apps and a new gesture navigation system that is easy to use. It's quite similar to what we've seen on the new iPhones but with slightly different animation and multi-tasking layout. Performance Equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 675 chipset, the Redmi Note 7 Pro delivers a great overall experience when it comes to performing tasks daily usage. While it works great with less CPU intensive apps, it lacks in processing graphics for fluid gaming. On PUBG mobile, the smartphone would often have massive frame rate drops in high settings and has the rubber-banding effect too. We would recommend you play GPU intensive games with lower settings. Furthermore, the Redmi Note 7 Pro does heat up a bit when playing games which were expected as it does not have a dedicated cooling system like the POCO F1. Regardless, the smartphone is good enough for casual games like Temple Run and can handle games like Asphalt 9 in medium setting. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla In terms of Geekbench scores, the Redmi Note 7 Pro scored 6520 in the multi-core test while it scored 2380 in the single core test. In our opinion, that's quite a respectable score for a smartphone that costs only Rs 13,990. The Redmi Note 4 Pro comes with 4,000 mAh battery which has remained unchanged from previous models. Battery life on the Redmi Note 7 Pro is exceptional with moderate usage as we had almost 6.5 hours of screen-on-time. We tested the smartphone with navigation, gaming and communication. In addition, it also supports QC4 however you need to buy a compatible charger separately. The Redmi Note 7 Pro was able to last almost two days on a single charge which is quite impressive for any smartphone. The Final Say If you are looking for a smartphone that can take awesome pictures, last 2 days on a single charge and can delivery awesome battery life, the Redmi Note 7 Pro is your best bet. The new smartphone has stepped up its game in the photography department and can perform well with moderate usage. Starting at Rs 13,9990 the Redmi Note 7 Pro is the king of budget smartphones right now.
  23. The entire PewDiePie vs T-series thing was a little too quiet for a while back there, but it's back with a bang, well kinda. With the entire world - including India - supporting PewDiePie in remaining the most subscribed channel on the website, Bhushan Kumar, Gulshan Kumar's son and the chairman and managing director of T-Series decided to make a case for his company on Twitter. He posted a video talking about how T-Series becoming the most subscribed channel will make history and will be a win for India, on his Twitter account. Subscribe to @TSeries #BharatWinsYouTube https://t.co/izEu8dzHdf pic.twitter.com/dJumzHwADa — Bhushan Kumar (@itsBhushanKumar) March 6, 2019 Umm, not to be rude, but how is India winning or even profiting from T-Series' win? It's just a transparent attempt at his part by trying to play on people's patriotism, which is honestly not okay. Furthermore, T-Series is not exactly what Twitter is about. PewDiePie started a channel on his own and then, over time, became unbelievably successful after putting in so much hard work. T-Series is a company, not a 'YouTuber' and it doesn't deserve to dethrone PewDiePie's record. Pewds on the other hand just laughed it off. 24. Seems like Apple was able to save yet another life, thanks to its heart rate sensor as it was able to detect unusual activity in a man's pulse rate. The Apple Watch has been known to be able to save lives via features that are in-built in the smartwatch. In this particular case, the man was diagnosed with tachycardia. © YouTube The man was Science Friday radio host Ira Flatow's brother and the incident was tweeted by him saying “saved by his Apple Watch,” The Apple Watch alerted him to a rapid heartbeat and suggested that he should visit a hospital. My brother was saved by his Apple Watch. After he felt a rapid heart beat >200 bpm, his watch told him to “go to the hospital.” He did and his tachycardia was diagnosed. — Ira Flatow (@iraflatow) March 7, 2019 Tachycardia is a condition when the heart rate exceeds the normal resting rate. Generally, if the resting heart rate is above 10 beats per minute, the condition is considered "tachycardia". Flatlow continued to say that his brother commented on the accuracy of his Apple Watch “and BTW, during the 15 hours I was at the hospital hooked up to the monitors, my the monitors never disagreed with my watch's reading. I checked MANY times.” © MensXP It's not the first time where the Apple Watch was able to save someone's life. Recently, a Norwegian man was saved by his Apple Watch thanks to its fall detection feature.
