  1. When Activision announced the Call of Duty Mobile, I was kind of sceptical. As excited as I was, it mostly sounded as if Activision was trying to jump the bandwagon of PUBG Mobile. The last thing I wanted was Activision and Tencent fleshing out a half-baked title. Well, the battle royale mode of Call of Duty Mobile went live yesterday for beta users on Android, so I decided to check it out. Honestly, it only took me just a few rounds of the game to realise that it's very different from PUBG Mobile. In a good way. In fact, I'd say it's exceptional. Here's why I think so: © Call of Duty Mobile A 'Scout' Or A 'Clown'? Pick Your Poison! As soon as you start the battle royale mode, you won't be dropped in a server for matchmaking. Instead, you'll get an option to select and customise your loadout, which I found to be very similar to the Team Deathmatch mode of the game. Within the loadout screen, you can also choose to select your 'Class'. © Call of Duty Mobile Yes, there are a total of six classes to choose from. You can either play as a Scout, Clown, Medic, Ninja, Defender or Mechanic. Depending on the class you choose, you'll get special perks. Playing as a 'Scout', for instance, you'll get a 'Sensor Dart', with which you can see the hostile position in the radar map. As a 'Medic' you'll be able to set up a medical station that heals you and allies continuously. Yes, it's very similar to the 'Lifeline' Legend in Respawn's 'Apex Legends'. I am not going to get into details and spoil the fun, so I suggest you check out other classes and their perks once you get your hands on the title when it arrives. It's awesome! © Call of Duty Mobile The ability to select the class of your player by itself is a huge differentiator which makes this game very different, and in fact, much better than PUBG. Don't get me wrong, PUBG's simple BR approach isn't bad. But I was kind of getting bored with it. If you're too, then you'll love the Call of Duty Mobile's Battle Royale mode. Where We Droppin' Once you select your loadout and you're good to go, you'll find yourself in the lobby waiting for other players to join in. You'll then be joining 100 other players before getting dropped into the map. If you're playing in a squad or duos, one of the players will be a designated 'Jump Leader', who'll get the players to a select spot in the map. Again, very similar to Apex Legends' 'Jump Master' feature. © Call of Duty Mobile Instead of taking a parachute, as you would in PUBG Mobile, here you'll be gliding down with the help of a wingsuit. Is it better? Hell yes! I was able to fly across the map and land exactly where I wanted to every single time. It's quick and incredibly smooth. From there on, it's pretty much the same gameplay experience. You'll have to collect weapons and other loot and jump right into the action. Your character will automatically pick up all the necessary items from the ground, so you don't really have to worry about it. Just make sure you improvise and look for better loot as you progress through the game. I want to say the experience is very similar to PUBG, but that's not really the case. A Tactical Shootout Call of Duty Mobile offers a military-style tactical experience. Unlike PUBG Mobile's fancy skins, all players are well-camouflaged from the start, so it's incredibly hard to find out where they are. You really have to rely on the sound of the footsteps or their weapons. © Call of Duty Mobile Depending on the 'Class' you chose earlier in the game, you'll be able to use the perks and get some tactical advantage too. I spent most of the time playing as a 'Scout' player, so I was constantly using it to scan the area and find enemies. It was a lot of fun. The game also has vehicles, and trust me, there are a lot of them. From a two-person ATV to a squad Helicopter, there's literally a lot to choose from. Just make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. © Call of Duty Mobile Before wrapping it up, I'd also like to point out that you can revive your teammates even once they've died. Yes, this isn't something you can do in PUBG Mobile. In Call of Duty Mobile, you can pick up your dead teammate's 'Dogtag' and revive them to bring them back into the action. It's very similar to how you can revive your teammates in some modern battle royale titles like Apex Legends, Fortnite, etc. The Final Say Call of Duty Mobile is a kickass battle royale title that lets you explore to your fullest abilities. It's unlike any other tactical game I've played on mobile, so I'll give full marks for that. If you've played Call Of Duty 4's 'Blackout' mode on PC, Xbox One or PS4, then you'll find yourself right at home. It's very similar to that, which is just awesome. As I mentioned earlier, I was getting bored with PUBG Mobile, to be honest, so I had an amazing time with all the new features like the ability to select classes, customise loadout, etc. If you're bored of PUBG Mobile or Fortnite too, then you'll have a great time slaying enemies in Call of Duty Mobile. Well, at least until there's a new battle royale game in town.
  2. Never in a million years, I would've expected someone to compare 'Avengers: Endgame' - and Marvel Cinematic Universe - to a movie like 'Student of the Year 2' but these are strange times. 'Endgame' is literally the biggest movie right now and is all set to become the highest grossing movie ever soon, and I don't think I need to say anything about 'SOTY 2' that hasn't already been said. But, Aditya Seal, who stars in 'SOTY 2', apparently has a problem because while people love an 'unrealistic' movie like 'Avengers', they're hating on his movie for being unrealistic. He talked about the criticism 'SOTY 2' is facing for showing a very unrealistic school and college life. He said, “That is exactly the section of society who will watch 'Avengers' and love it and believe that superheroes exist, but they will give us flak for it.” I really don't see any correlation, truly. It doesn't end there, he further tried to explain that 'SOTY 2' is also like a fantasy world that people would want to be a part of. He said, “This is a fantasy. Who wouldn't want to be a part of a school like this, where you have such amazing-looking people and the school is this good? We are just trying to create a world for people where they can just watch it and be like, 'Oh, I wish I was a part of this!' When I watch 'Avengers', I want to be a part of it. I want to be Tony Stark/Iron Man. The same way, we are trying to create a world for them.” I really don't want to be mean to him, but does this dude even know the meaning of fantasy? I have a lot of counterpoints for this. One, no one is believing superheroes exist, everyone knows that it's a fictional universe, hence we have MCU. Two, supersoldiers and just basically superheroes don't exist for real, everyone knows that, but schools and colleges do and that's why it's so hard to see such an unrealistic portrayal. Third, who would want to go to a school where everyone is 'so amazing looking'? I don't want to see thirty-year-olds pretending to be teenagers. And no, a lot of people wouldn't want to be a part of the Avengers universe. I would surely be a bystander that gets killed first there. All I would like to request is that please never even compare 'Avengers: Endgame' to SOTY 2, please.
  3. You see, it's actually true when they say 'not all heroes wear capes'. Ask someone who has known a superhero in all flesh and blood, someone who came into their life when their every breath was hanging by a thread. Call them whatever you choose - saviour, messiah or guardian angel, but the fact is, they indeed are heroes who have ditched the capes, and bear such courage in their hearts that's only second to a lion's. So yes, not all heroes wear capes. Some wear khaki uniforms, Indian Navy hats and even regular clothes, but they all have one thing in common - all of them would put their own lives on the line to save the people around them. Check out the inspiring stories of these 6 dedicated officers who went beyond the call of duty, and risked their lives to save others: 1. RPF Constable Jagbir Singh Rana © Twitter The RPF constable was most recently in the news for his bravery and ultimate sacrifice that saved five lives at the cost of his own. Constable Rana was patrolling the busy tracks between Adarsh Nagar and Azadpur railway stations when he was killed by a Shatabdi Express while saving a couple and some children from getting hit by trains. He managed to bring the couple arguing on the tracks to safety, but during a second round while trying to save a few kids, he couldn't get off the tracks on time and got hit by a train. Constable Rana died on the spot. 2. Lieutenant Rahul Dalal © Facebook While out on the beach with his wife at the Vypin beach in Kerala, Lieutenant Rahul Dalal noticed a gathering of curious onlookers along the beach. When he got closer he realised that someone was drowning and crying out for help. Strong evening currents didn't help the situation and stopped others from helping the poor guy. Lt. Dalal jumped right in and was almost crushed under the drowning man's frantic attempts to get to safety. However, despite the strong currents and the odds the lieutenant managed to bring the man to safety. 3. Constable Raj Kamal Meena Brave constable Raj Kamal Meena of PS Khyala saved the life of a boy drowning in Bawana Canal. Rajkamal went to Bawana for a raid but when he saw the child drowning, he jumped in the canal to save him. Proud of Ct Rajkamal. @DelhiPolice @LtGovDelhi pic.twitter.com/FDcwJJz4Gc — DCP West Delhi (@DCPWestDelhi) February 4, 2019 Constable Meena who is posted at the Khyala Police Station in New Delhi, was going about his work as usual one day, when he noticed some children playing near the Bawana Canal located in West Delhi. Since it was known for being a dangerous spot where many unfortunate incidents of drowning had taken place, he went to warm them. But by the time he could reach, one of the boys jumped into the calm and began drowning. However, constable Meena's quick thinking and courage saved the boy's life who could have drowned in the deep waters. 4. Sub-Inspector Gagandeep Singh © Twitter Uttarakhand cop Gagandeep Singh became an internet sensation after he stopped a lynch mob from punishing and taking away a Muslim youth's life, based on foolish trepidations that had provoked a Hindu mob to take the matter in its own hands. Sun-Inspector Gagandeep Singh showed commendable courage when he single-handedly prevented the mob from harming the Muslim youth in a Hindu temple, where he had allegedly gone to meet his Hindu girlfriend. 5. Constable Sudarshan Shinde © Twitter When a dangerous fire broke out at a pub in Mumbai's Kamala Mills compound, constable Shinde had been patrolling in a nearby area. As soon as he heard about the fire, he rushed to the spot. Some people had gotten trapped inside due to the blaze and excessive smoke. However, constable Shinde was able to help some of them who had turned on their mobile torches. However, when he found some unconscious people inside, he ignored his own safety and rescued them by carrying outside on his own shoulders. He managed to save many lives that night when the fire claimed 14 lives. 6. Head Constable Abhishek Patel © Twitter Head constable Abhishek Patel posted in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district became a hero for 400 young school children after he risked his own life to save theirs. It was reported that a bomb was found near a school in Chittora village, and upon finding it Patel picked up the 10kg bomb and ran for a kilometer carrying the bomb on his shoulder. A 12-second video of his sprint had also gone viral on social media.
  4. I am going to keep aside the fact right now that some lucky bastards have already seen the movie of the month, year, decade already while we have to wait two more freaking days because the first spoiler free reviews of 'Avengers: Endgame' are here and they're honestly better than we expected. Actually, no we all had a lot of expectations already and apparently Marvel is going to exceed even that. Basically, the world premier was yesterday and yes, people have watched it, but let's look on the bright side while waiting for the release - the movie is exceptional and people have already claimed it's the best Marvel movie till date. Yes, we already knew all of these things because we believed in the movie so much, but isn't it great to know that we're in for a treat this April 26th? Moreover, everyone who's watched it has two main things to say - one, it's the perfect culmination of eleven years and 22 movies, and two, everyone cried at least 5-6 times, including Chris Evans. Wow, we really are not ready but so ready at the same time for this movie all at once. No, bathroom breaks, hold it in. You guys. This is it! Avengers: Endgame is entertainment from beginning to end. There were tears, laughter, cheering. A lot of cheering. I'm ready to watch it again. The payoff is ð¯so plan your bathroom breaks accordingly. #avengersendgame — Wendy Lee Szany (@WendyLeeSzany) April 23, 2019 Oh no, how will we handle this? All I'm going to say about @Avengers #EndGame is that I am an emotional wreck and can't stop crying — Maude Garrett (@maudegarrett) April 23, 2019 It's already my favourite and I haven't even watched it. This can't be understated: #AvengersEndgame is everything you want it to be and more. I am absolutely floored. A perfect reflection on the last 11 years that pays off everything in the best way possible. Without question my new favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe film. Stunned. pic.twitter.com/5LvFw9UEBQ — Eric Eisenberg (@eeisenberg) April 23, 2019 More excitement. #AvengerEndgame is an immensely satisfying payoff, not just to Infinity War but to all the films that came before. This is why the MCU. (And I say this as someone who was not especially enamored of Infinity War, FWIW.) ♥ï¸ðð — Angie J. Han (@ajhan) April 23, 2019 Perfect. It's incredible. I'm speechless. #endgame — Ryan Parker (@TheRyanParker) April 23, 2019 Don't know what it is, but can't wait. #AvengersEndgame is A LOT. Too much at times. But wow the payoff is huge. Left me proud to have invested over a decade in a franchise that delivers an inspiring exploration of what it means to be family & a hero. (Endgame also now has one of my favorite shots in the entire MCU.) — Perri Nemiroff (@PNemiroff) April 23, 2019 Yes. #AvengersEndgame just ended. No spoiler, but some first thoughts. Epic is the word. Epic multiplied by a decade of emotion, excitement and investment. This is the payoff. It left me with a full heart, but one I had has some scars on it. Those are the strongest kind, after all. pic.twitter.com/Ay2rXISBOB — Anthony Breznican (@Breznican) April 23, 2019 Let's hope so. Wow. #AvengersEndgame is staggering. It's surprising in ways I never saw coming and satisfying in ways I didn't realize I needed. It's kind of the ultimate gift to fans of the MCU. It's very long and has a few hiccups, but is everything you're hoping for and more. pic.twitter.com/RO97kw9fs5 — Germain Lussier (@GermainLussier) April 23, 2019 Going in with too many expectations now. Imagine the best possible version of #AvengersEndgame and somehow the film still surpasses all expectations. I cried 5-6 times. It's the most emotional, most epic, MCU film. A tribute to ten years of this universe and holy shit the great fan service in this movie. Soooo good. — Peter Sciretta (@slashfilm) April 23, 2019 That's interesting. #AvengersEndgame is a masterful epic - a true culmination of 22 films that not only concludes the story, but expands upon it. You'll learn more about the other movies while this one unfolds. If Infinity War is the brawn, Endgame is the brains. And wow, what an ending! pic.twitter.com/94ttBUQKJ0 — Erik Davis (@ErikDavis) April 23, 2019 I can't wait two more days. Do not go in expecting Infinity War part two. The two films are so different, yet compliment each other in all the best ways. In terms of which MCU movie to watch beforehand... honestly, all of them. What an experience - what an accomplishment#AvengersEndgame — Erik Davis (@ErikDavis) April 23, 2019 We're ready. Not going to spoil anything at all, but I will say I laughed, I cried, I cried, I cheered, I laughed, I cried again and then the entire audience gave it a massive standing ovation. And then I cried again. Be ready, kids. Be. Ready.#AvengersEndgame — Erik Davis (@ErikDavis) April 23, 2019 Everyone's emotional. While watching #AvengersEndgame, I laughed so loud, I clapped with so much force, and I cried so hard. The movie exceeds every expectation and is the perfect culmination of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. — Brandon Davis (@BrandonDavisBD) April 23, 2019 It already is. 3 hours later and I'm shook! My God, @Avengers Endgame is beyond epic! It's everything you hope it will be and more - an absolute @MarvelStudios marvel! And I'm pretty sure it will make all the money ever printed! Loved it and would watch again instantly! pic.twitter.com/7D3qLfrxV1 — KevinSmith (@ThatKevinSmith) April 23, 2019 Wow. Man #AvengersEndgame kicked my ass. It was an epic conclusion to 11 years of films. It had laughs, incredible action and absolute emotional rollercoaster. It was the series finale for these cast of characters that I had been hoping for. Congrats to all for pulling off the feat. — Kristian Harloff (@KristianHarloff) April 23, 2019 They are, I'm guessing. Incredible ingenuity and commitment. Marvel and Disney can and should be proud of this moment. #AvengersEndgame — Matt Donnelly (@MattDonnelly) April 23, 2019 Don't we all? I was not prepared for the range of emotions that #Endgame put me through, from utter despair to pure elation. I laughed, I cried, I wished Tony Stark was my dad. — Dave Itzkoff (@ditzkoff) April 23, 2019 Nice Thanos reference. The scope of Avengers: Endgame is impossible to put into words. What Fiege & MCU achieved over last 10-years has lead to this gloriously masterful moment in cinema & it's truly mind-blowing how beautifully paced this storytelling is. Perfectly balanced. As all things should be. — Kevin McCarthy (@KevinMcCarthyTV) April 23, 2019
  5. The year 2018 was really crucial for the Indian cricket team. The Virat Kohli-led side didn't just appear clinical at home but also proved their credentials in the multiple overseas series they played. Testing young blood with experienced campaigners, the new-look Indian team has now established themselves as serious contenders for the ICC World Cup in England & Wales. In a bid to find the perfect team, the Indian selectors and team management were seen trying all possible options in specialist roles in the recent series. And, it finally boiled down to 15th April when the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the 15-man squad for the ICC mega event. While the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be seen occupying the top-order, the inclusion of KL Rahul, MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav, Vijay Shankar, Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya all provide adequate options to the Indian team in the middle-order. The bowling department looks well equipped with Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar bolstering the pace attack and the likes of Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravindra Jadeja adding teeth as spinners. BREAKING: India have named their #CWC19 squad! pic.twitter.com/mMXt5kAG6Y — Cricket World Cup (@cricketworldcup) April 15, 2019 Though the Indian squad looks perfectly balanced, the notable omissions of Rishabh Pant and Ambati Rayudu have irked cricket pundits and fans alike. Both Pant and Rayudu were in the fray for the World Cup, but the Indian selectors showed faith in Karthik and Shankar to do the job for India in the all-important World Cup. While Pant staked his claim to a World Cup spot on the back of blazing batting performances, Rayudu, too, was looked upon as a potential candidate who could solve India's No. 4 problem. However, the Indian selectors thought otherwise and in a bid to derive team balance, they went for safer and more proven options in Karthik and Shankar. There is no doubt over Pant's ability with the willow. On his day, the dashing left-hander is more than capable of running away with the game on the back of innovative strokes he boasts of in his armoury. But, Pant is a gamble in any game. On a day, his shot might come off and on the other, it won't. And, there's little doubt over his unpredictable batting. © BCCL However, Pant's omission for Karthik wasn't decided just on batting. The fact that India needed an extra wicket-keeping option is probably what ruined Pant's chances. While the young gun is undeniably a batting star for the future, his wicket-keeping skills are still a work in progress - something that probably gave Karthik leverage in his selection. "In unison, we all felt either Pant or DK will come into the XI if Mahi (Dhoni) is injured. "If it's a semi-final or an important game, wicket-keeping also matters. That's the only reason we went ahead with Dinesh Karthik. Otherwise, Rishabh Pant was almost there," MSK Prasad, the chief national selector, revealed. The competition between Shankar and Rayudu was also decided on similar lines. Rayudu was being looked upon as a viable No. 4 option after he showed consistency with the willow in the recent series. But, barring his batting might, Rayudu doesn't bowl (thanks to an ICC ban in January) and his fielding, alone, is just not good enough to make the cut. © BCCL On the other hand, Shankar has proven his mettle in the limited opportunities he got. His batting bolsters the Indian middle-order, while his medium-paced deliveries provide an extra bowling option to the 'Men in Blue'. And then, when it comes to fielding, Shankar's 'bullet throw' in the first T20I against New Zealand earlier in February should put all the doubts to rest. “After the Champions Trophy, we tried quite a few middle-order batsmen. We also tried Shreyas Iyer and Manish Pandey. We gave a few chances to Rayudu, but what Vijay Shankar offers is three-dimensional. Apart from his batting, he can bowl if the conditions are overcast, which we might encounter in England. And he's a fantastic fielder. That's what went in Shankar's favour. He's a batsman who can bowl. We're looking at him at No.4 (to begin with). With Dinesh Karthik in and Kedar Jadhav, we've plenty of options at No. 4 right now," Prasad said. Though it's a little too early to predict whether the inclusion of Shankar and Karthik ahead of Pant and Rayudu will work out, it surely gives India enough balance to adapt to the tournament as it progresses to the knockout stages.
  6. John Abraham's second innings as an on-screen spy in espionage thriller 'Romeo Akbar Walter' has finally hit the theaters today. After his successful streak of good luck with a number of patriotic films in the recent times, the audience was looking for a similar experience even this time around. © Viacom 18 The audience was looking for a film with a good plot, strong characters, and a direction that's capable of driving the story, but unfortunately, the initial Twitter reviews have called Abraham's 'RAW' a “raw” deal. A disappointment across the spectrum. © Viacom 18 The recurrent complaint related to the film was that the plot's dullness, and that the film seems to just drag on and sluggish to the point of boredom. While John Abraham has often been called out for this stoical acting, of lack of it, in front of the camera, this time film-goers seemed to have found better things to bash in the film instead of John's acting calibre. © Viacom 18 Movie-goers have found worse elements that plague the film. 'RAW' director Robby Grewal is being bashed by Twitter users for his unsatisfactory vision and execution. The screenplay and even the theme is said to be questionable, and people are simply not buying into the makers' half-baked nationalism. After seeing disappointing reviews of #RAW I can now understand why it took Robby Grewal 10 years to direct another film. His last movie as a director was Aloo Chaat in 2009. It took him a decade to get producers for his new movie.#RomeoAkbarWalter #RAWreview — Chowkidar Vivek Sharma (@TheVivekSharma) April 5, 2019 Here is what Twitter users have reviewed John Abraham's 'Romeo Akbar Walter': Slow and predictable Story Good as one liner but present poorly.. The trailer for 'PM Narendra Modi' is expected to release tomorrow, while the film will hit the theatres on April 12th.
  8. As the CEO of Apple, it is safe to say that Tim Cook is a prominent name in the industry. It's hard to miss the guy in the glasses, even if you are not particularly tech-savvy. However, it looks like the US president, our very own Donald Trump, thinks Apple's CEO is.... 'Tim Apple'. © Reuters During an American Workforce Policy Advisory Board meeting yesterday, the president referred to the CEO of Apple as 'Tim Apple' instead of Tim Cook. In his defence, names are hard. We get it. But we wonder if you can flub a name like Tim Cook, given his reputation in the industry and beyond. Here's what Trump said while addressing the media - "You've really put a big investment in our country. We appreciate it very much, Tim Apple." Better yet, here's a video clip in which you can see Trump unmistakenly referring to him as 'Tim Apple'. Also, watching Tim Cook politely nodding his head is just priceless. Trump just called Apple CEO Tim Cook “Tim Apple” pic.twitter.com/gTHHtjWvc9 — Sean O'Kane (@sokane1) March 6, 2019 It's hard to tell if Trump did this on purpose or he legitimately did a, what we like to call, an oopsie. In fact, this isn't the first time Trump has made a mistake while referring to someone. Last year, he referred to Lockheed Martin's CEO as "Marillyn Lockheed", instead of Marillyn Hewson. It's alright Mr Trump. Better luck next time.
  9. It's 2019 and a lot of people - and comedians - still haven't got the memo that if they need to be insensitive and not politically correct, then they're not as funny as they think. The lastest, most unexpected person who needs to hear this is Trevor Noah. Trevor Noah, the host of 'The Daily Show', ended up making a very untasteful joke about the Indian-Pakistan tensions on an episode of his show recently. We know how the turbulence between the two countries are at an all-time high right now, and that absolutely nothing about this situation is a joke. So, Trevor's racist take on the situation, obviously, did not sit well with the desi people. He started off by saying that if India and Pakistan did go to war, “it would be the most entertaining war of all time”. Umm? What? Does he really think he can make a joke about war? And, call that war “entertaining” for crying out loud? © YouTube He then followed with his reason why it would be entertaining. He said, “Cause the Indian soldiers would run out on the battlefield and be like - 'Time for you to die'.” The last part is said while singing in a very bad, racist accent, think Apu from The Simpsons, but 10 times worse. It was then followed by some random singing for some reason. Yeah, because every war has background music right? Then, keeping up with this racist narrative, he also thought it would be the longest war of all time because of all the dance numbers. Yes, Trevor, all the soldiers here are practising new dance numbers, that's what a war is, of course, it's not serious. For the longest time, India has been stereotyped as the nation with just dancing and singing and for years, people have been making fun of that because obviously, real life is just like a Bollywood movie, right? What's disappointing is that it's still going on, it's about damn time people stop with the racism. This whole controversy has obviously enraged every sane person, and people aren't holding back while calling him out. Moreover, even with everything going on between India and Pakistan, people from both sides have united to drag him. Even though this is against India and I am a Pakistani, this is still pretty racist @Trevornoah We may have our issues but **** you for racism.pic.twitter.com/qxN9ORh9Dl — Waqas (@waqas_x) February 28, 2019 So disappointing. How tremendously disappointing, @Trevornoah. War is NOT a form of entertainment. You spend 80% of your time criticizing Trump and the violence he could be stirring, but the possibility of India and Pakistan engaging in actual war is a filmy song and dance to you? https://t.co/dlR0gdvHQU — Riddhi Chakraborty (@thisisridz) February 28, 2019 Everyone should be worried. Usually I like @Trevornoah but his remarks on the India-Pakistan situation really irked me. You cannot compare an ongoing enmity originating back to the British empire to a petty squabble between two rappers. I'm Indian, my family are in the Air Force and frankly I'm worried. — ⬡ðððððð⬡ (@ThePsychoNyx) February 28, 2019 Seriously, stay in your lane. Hey can the white left come collect their South African import Trevor Noah because nobody has the fucking patience to listen to his hot takes about escalating border tensions between India and Pakistan. Stay in your lane motherfucker. — istanbul (not constantinople) (@haryanagrandey) February 28, 2019 War is not funny and it's honestly surprising it actually needs to be explained to people. i dont fucking understand how ANYONE can find this funny,, he said it would be "entertaining"??? war is not funny? the entire world has to mourn for the loss of an american life but it's funny when it's for brown people?? what the **** pic.twitter.com/gJ9BMdjTFK — sage ð¦ (@thelastrm) February 28, 2019 Just horrible, man. @Trevornoah Your recent take on India-pakistan was a disaster and you should be ashamed of calling yourself a comedian or a host! the entire world has to mourn for the loss of an american life but it's funny when it's for brown people, right?? https://t.co/ZaoBiyHhX4 — Rahul Kapoor (@rahulcode) March 1, 2019 Obviously not. This is outrageous! War is not a joke @Trevornoah #WTF ! The Indian mumbles are no less racist. You should be ashamed of yourself! You of all people should know better! Are Syria Iraq Yemen Libya or Vietnam American led wars a laughing matter? #think #IndiaPakistan https://t.co/eobX582wj2 — Andy Kumar (@iAmVJAndy) February 28, 2019
  10. A serious bug in Apple's FaceTime application lets users listen in on the people they're calling, even when they don't pick up the phone. It was previously reported on Twitter by user Benji Mobb and it's a severe violation of privacy. All you need to do is call someone via FaceTime and listen to their phone's microphone, without consent. Apple says it is aware of the issue and a fix will be released via a software update in the coming week. Multiple publications can confirm that the issue actually works. © AppleInsider The glitch is very easily triggered when you call someone using FaceTime. Before they pick up the call, add your own number to the call and once you're added, the application immediately assumes it to be a conference call and begins relaying the audio from the other phone. Irrespective of whether the end party has picked up the call or not, the audio gets transferred. For the end user, if you're receiving a call from FaceTime, there is a chance the caller can hear you via the microphone. If the recipient of the call presses the power button on the side of the iPhone to silence or ignore an incoming call, their phone will begin broadcasting video to the initial caller. Now you can answer for yourself on FaceTime even if they don't answerð¤#Apple explain this.. pic.twitter.com/gr8llRKZxJ — Benji Mobb™ (@BmManski) January 28, 2019 The only way to stop this from happening right now is to disable FaceTime on all your Apple devices. On the iPhone, go the Settings app and select FaceTime. Tap the toggle and switch it to grey. FaceTime will no longer be active on the device. On the Mac, open the FaceTime app, select "FaceTime" in the menu bar and click on "Turn off FaceTime". © Twitter / Chris Velazco With rising privacy concerns worldwide, these severe glitches in a core application like FaceTime are extremely worrisome. For a long time, Apple has been talking about privacy on its devices and how they are different from others. They even put up a huge billboard outside CES 2019, taking a dig at Google, Amazon, and other data utilizing companies. The banner read "What happens on your iPhone, stays on your iPhone", and today's discovery completely nullifies their claim. There isn't much we can do right now, but wait for Apple to release a fix. Until then, be careful when you receive a call via FaceTime. Source: Twitter
  11. When the two Khans of Bollywood unite, the internet goes into a frenzy. An old video of the 'bhais' in arms having a karaoke session has gone viral. Salman and Shah Rukh Khan are jamming on the classic number 'pyar humein kis mode pe le aaya' . View this post on Instagram Epic stuff! This video of @beingsalmankhan and @iamsrk jamming together is sure to make your day. A post shared by Filmfare (@filmfare) on Dec 27, 2018 at 8:26pm PST The 'Karan-Arjun' of B-town had hit a rock bottom when their relationship got patchy a decade ago. They avoided attending parties and functions where they could meet eye to eye and fans were pretty sad with this bromance getting over. © Colors However, seems like the love is real and is not lost after all, because a few years ago, they buried their hatchet and got together. SRK even made an appearance on 'Bigg Boss' which was like making it official that the Khans were back together. Salman recently made an appearance in 'Zero' for a song. Well, all's well that ends well and now we want to call our 'bhai' for a jamming session of our own.
  12. 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 4' is the first game in the franchise to feature a battle royale mode, where players strive to kill each other and the ultimate survivor wins the game. Unlike usual gameplay, you don't have money or points to purchase weapons at the beginning of the game. At the start, you are spawned unarmed and need to make your way through the map to find weapons. The arsenal is spread randomly across the map and making the best of what you have is key to survival. But, if you really want to ace the game, knowing which gun is better than the other is essential. We've made a list of guns that you should be carrying for the best experience and an upper-hand in the game over your enemies. 1. VAPR-XKG: © Activision This gun has maximum precision and can't be matched in the AR category. It can wreck your opponent in both, close as well as a long-range gunfight. A favourite of many pro-gamers, this is indeed the best assault rifle one can have. The range of fire and damage per bullet is high and the 5.56mm ammunition is abundantly found in the game. It also supports several attachments, the best and the handiest one being a scope. 2. KN-57: © Activision Another assault rifle, it is very easily found all over the map and packs a punch in terms of accuracy and recoil. This is basically Blackout's version of the AK-47, an insanely popular rifle that gamers swear by in other games like PUBG and CS: GO. With controllable recoil, decent damage and accuracy stats, the AK47 style rifle is great in almost all situations. When paired with an attachment of your choice, it becomes the ultimate killing machine. 3. Spitfire: © Activision If you need to literally bombard everyone in a room, nothing is better than the Spitfire. The best in close quarter combat, it has a ridiculous rate of fire and depends on the .45mm ammunition. Raiding houses? You need to have this. The rate of fire is very high, hence your focus should be on spraying your opponent with bullets and not just aim. It is also recommended that the Spitfire should only ever be used as a secondary weapon because of its poor long range abilities. 4. Swordfish: © Activision The Swordfish is amongst some of the best weapons in the game. It is a burst-fire tactical rifle that excels in medium-range encounters. It is a perfect combination of a close-range SMG, a long-range assault rifle, and a quick burst shotgun. But, then this should always be a secondary. It tries to cover up for all kinds of combat situations but fails to excel at either of them. A quick spray of bullets and you'll soon run out of ammo. 5. Zweihander: © Activision Want to kill some Zombies? This is the perfect weapon. It is an absolute beast in terms of rate of fire and an unbelievably high accuracy. This gun definitely falls in the super-special category, but the downside is it's difficult to find. The reload time is tiring, but what else can you expect from a quick burst gun like this. You won't easily find this gun, but if you do, nothing can come between you and victory. 6. Titan: © Activision Like we said, obtaining the Zweihander is very hard, and in that case, the Titan acts like a perfect alternative. The recoil is limited and it holds one of the largest magazine sizes of any other weapon in Blackout. It has a devastating amount of damage in mid-to-long range battle and can be opted as a primary, though we recommend keeping this as a secondary and an assault rifle as primary. 7. Koshka: © Activision And finally, a sniper rifle. Koshka is the Blackout sniper rifle you should look for because fast scope-in time is ideal and it is also adept for mid-range firefights. The rate of fire is much better than other rifles and it's easy to move around and quickly eliminate a target with this rifle. Though, it falls short on damage abilities. You have one shot, go for the head.
  13. 'Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4' is already out on the market right now and it has been ruling the sales charts ever since it was released. We reviewed the game in its current state and found it to be the best game in the franchise since 'Modern Warfare 2'. © Activision Black Ops 4 has a new game mode instead of a full single-player campaign, and it has been ruling the Battle Royale genre ever since it was released. Previously, the genre was dominated by 'Fortnite' and 'PlayerUnkown's Battlegrounds' (PUBG), however, since COD Blops 4 released, there has been a gradual decrease in peak concurrent players on Steam for PUBG. This may be attributed to many reasons and we wanted to list out our reasons why people are jumping ships: 1. No Hackers © Youtubbe Activision as a publisher and Treyarch as a developer are very proactive when it comes to dealing with hackers. PUBG has a very poor reputation on PC and now on mobile, as the game is plagued with hackers that use aimbots to disfranchise players of quality experience. The lack of hackers in 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 4' is making people jump ship for the better experience they've always wanted. We can't be sure of the future if whether Blops 4 Blackout may also face a similar problem, however, as of now, it stands supreme. 2. Better Gunplay © Youtubbe There's no denying every Call of Duty game has impeccable gunplay that cannot be matched by any other FPS out there. Even Battlefield is now trying to replicate Activision's dated engine for their upcoming game “Battlefield 5” PUBG, on the other hand, always had a very clunky feel to its shooting mechanics which could be a contributing factor to Blackout's success. 3. There Are More Players © Gamesbeat Call Of Duty has been the highest selling game year in and year out and no game has been able to challenge that feat until now. According to VentureBeat, fewer people are logging in to play PUBG on PC and it seems like the trend is not going to slow down any sooner. PUBG is also not available on PlayStation 4 which has a higher player base, as the game is currently exclusive to Xbox One. 4. Better Gameplay © YouTube We've already mentioned that the game has better gunplay, however, Call of Duty games tend to be smooth and refined when it comes to overall gameplay. There are fewer bugs, glitches and the movement is also smoother. The same cannot be said about PUBG as the game is still plagued with glitches that are yet to be fixed. 5. It's More Than Just Shooting People © YouTube Blackout also features one of the most iconic features from the franchise — perks. Special abilities can be added to your character when you pick up perks from the ground. For example, you can equip multiple abilities such as Dead Silence (to suppress your footstep sounds) and Awareness (makes enemy footsteps louder), Outlander (Take less damage and gives faster movement in circle collapse) and many others. This adds more flavour to the overall gameplay and how the game progresses towards the end of the round.
  14. Call it an accident, a technical error or someone's mistake, but social media has been abuzz since this evening, thanks to Ajay Devgn...and his social media team (if there is one). If you follow Ajay Devgn on Twitter, you will know what we're are talking about. In a tweet that has left social media scratching their heads in utter confusion, Ajay Devgn shared his wife Kajol's number. He wrote, "Kajol not in country ..co-ordinate with her on WhatsApp." Twitter Our curious minds didn't allow us to ignore this tweet just like that. So, we first checked her number on Truecaller and according to the app, the number does indeed belong to Kajol. Screenshot We then called on the number and it went into a forward mode and then a pre-recorded voice played which sounded similar to Kajol's. We even checked her WhatsApp profile. By this point, we were kind of convinced that it might be her actual number and so was Twitter. People even texted her on WhatsApp to check if it was her real number. 15. The world of cricket is not new to superstars. The sport, in its rich legacy, has seen a lot of cricketers ruling the gentleman's game across different eras. The legend of Sir Donald Bradman still sounds afresh every time someone mentions his name. The great Sachin Tendulkar, despite his retirement, continues to rule the hearts of cricket fans across the globe. Similarly, in the modern-era of the game, no other cricketer has managed to capture our imagination the way Virat Kohli has with his exploits on the field. Proving to be a cut above the rest, the Indian captain continues to prove to be a nightmare for the opposition bowlers. His artistry with the willow has earned him plaudits across the globe, while his leadership skills has aided Team India in crunch situations. Kohli has garnered respect from the opposition players and is cherished by fans for his might. Such has been his popularity that he has also become a prized-possession of the broadcasters and popular brands. Thus, when the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that Kohli will be rested for the 2018 Asia Cup, the official broadcaster of the tournament - Star - was left ruing the absence of the Indian captain. MSK Prasad, the chief of selectors, had announced that Kohli had been playing continuously for quite some time and the Indian cricket board decided to hand him the period of rest. But, Star is clearly not impressed. © Reuters In an email to Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Game Development Manager Thusith Perera, host broadcaster Star expressed their displeasure, stating how Kohli's absence will impact the financial aspect of the coverage. "In our view, the announcement of the absence of one of world's best batsmen from the Asia Cup, only 15 days before the commencement of the Asia Cup, is a severe dent to us (event broadcaster) and will severely impact our ability to monetise and generate revenue for the tournament," the email stated. In response, BCCI CEO Rahul Johri claimed, "Kindly note that the team selected by BCCI selection Committee (an expert body comprising of former cricketers) to participate in the Asia Cup as announced on 1st September 2018 is the best available team." “Please also take note that selection of the best available team for participation in a tournament is the sole prerogative of the selection committee of BCCI. It is not open for Asian Cricket Council or its broadcaster to insist on the selection of any particular player and/or to question the expert opinion of the Selection Committee as to which is the best available team for a particular tournament,” Johri's mail claimed. © Reuters Now, it's needless to say that Kohli's absence at the ongoing Asia Cup will understandably have some financial impact for the host broadcasters. But, as the BCCI's response reveals, the right to select the team is solemnly reserved for the Indian board and its selectors. A broadcaster can complain and whine about it, but they cannot force a cricket board to select a team or player to their whims and fancies. “The matter was discussed with the BCCI. We have been informed by BCCI that best available team is participating in Asia Cup 2018. Therefore, we would like to reiterate that ACC is fully compliant with its MRLA obligations,” the ACC game development manager wrote in a letter to Star. More importantly, Kohli has been a workhorse for his side, playing continuously series after series, tours after tours. He was part of India's rigorous tour of England that included three ODIs and T20Is alongside five Tests. Being the most important and crucial batsman for his side, Kohli's workload needs to be handled properly by the BCCI which probably explains their decision to hand him some much-needed rest for the Asia Cup. © Reuters The Indian team cannot afford Kohli to exhaust his energy and vigour in a tournament like Asia Cup where Pakistan seems to be the only competition for them. In the bigger scheme of things, the Indian board would want the skipper to be ready and fresh for the much-anticipated tour of Australia that poses a bigger challenge Down Under. Slated to begin from 21st November, India's tour of Australia will be comprised of three ODIs, four Tests and three T20Is - spanning over two months. Following their exploits in Australia, the Indian team will then travel to New Zealand for five ODIs and three T20Is beginning from 23rd January, 2019. Once that comes to an end, the sub-continent giants will host the Australian side for five ODIs and two T20Is in a two-month long tour which is scheduled from 24th February till 13th March. The months of March and April next year will then see the likes of Kohli and his teammates plying their trade in the twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). And, once that comes to an end, the world of cricket will brace for the coveted 2019 ICC World Cup slated from 30th May till 14th July. Given the tournaments and tours scheduled for Men in Blue, the BCCI's decision to rest Kohli might not have fared well for the broadcasters, but it undeniably an important and well-thought call for Team India which heavily relies on its skipper to get past their opponents across the three formats in cricket.
