  2. The day that many cinephiles have been waiting for, is finally here! The much-awaited trailer of the most anticipated movie of the year, KGF Chapter 2 starring Kannada superstar Yash, was finally released for the public on Sunday (March 27). © Hombale Films The trailer was launched at a grand special event in Bengaluru with some of the biggest names of the Indian film fraternity all present alongside Bollywood director and producer Karan Johar. Karan was joined by other Bollywood stars like Raveena Tandon and Sanjay Dutt, with both actors playing integral roles in the film. Fans had been anxiously waiting for the trailer ever since the date was announced earlier, and to be honest, they sure were not disappointed. The high-octane drama of the sequel film follows Rocky Bhai's journey to the throne as he comes up against his arch-nemesis Adheera, who is played by Sanjay Dutt. The trailer showcases a war ensuing between the mortal enemies with Yash having to face a sterner test against Adheera. Everything looks cinematically pleasing as the war looks set to take place on the land, in air, and in water. Another element that is added to the film is the politician character of Raveena Tandon, who seems to bring a certain authority to the role, as far as it can be seen in the trailer. Moreover, the iconic dialogues of Yash's Rocky were something that really must have excited fans a lot. Well, here are some of their reactions. "This trailer exceeded my expectations.....sets, action scenes, color toning, cinematography, dialogues and lastly Rocking star Yash's savage dialogue delivery...everything is Fire," said one fan. "Can’t wait to watch this mass movie in cinemas 14th April - you better hurry my friend." said another fan. One viewer by the name of Ajay Baluchu wrote on how he couldn't contain his goosebumps. 3. Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor had some really good news for the world on Monday (March 21). The Delhi-6 star took to social media platform Instagram to announce her first pregnancy with her husband Anand Ahuja. The actress shared three pictures alongside her hubby on Instagram in which she can be seen cradling her baby bump while lying down on the couch with Anand. View this post on Instagram While we do not know if Sonam and Anand are in India or abroad, the actress wrote on her Instagram post: “Four hands. To raise you the very best we can. Two hearts. That will beat in unison with yours, every step of the way. One family. Who will shower you with love and support. We can’t wait to welcome you.” She also added the hashtags #everydayphenomenal #comingthisfall2022 with her post. While the news broke the internet, it certainly had an effect on the Bollywood industry as well, with many B-stars sharing their reactions in the comment section. To be honest, it really is big news and Sonam's papa Anil Kapoor would be a very happy man as well today. © Instagram/Sonam Kapoor Well, here is what many Bollywood celebs commented. First to the list was Bollywood superstar actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who wrote, “Wohoooooooo soooo happy for you both. Can’t wait for the babies to play.” It's known that the two actresses share a very good bond and now with Sonam being a mum as well, we think they're going to get even tighter. Actress Dia Mirza too commented, “Such wonderful news!!! So happy for you.” Following this, Sonam also received congratulatory messages from the upcoming stars of Bollywood like Ananya Pandey, Jhanvi Kapoor, and her younger sister Khushi Kapoor. “Congratulations.” wrote Ananya. "OH MY GOD WHAT!!!!!!" wrote an ecstatic Jhanvi. Sonam also got messages from stars like Bhumi Pednekar, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui star Vaani Kapoor. It sure looks like the day will probably go with a lot of loving messages and calls from her loved ones and friends, and honestly, we couldn't be happier for her. Sonam, who is the eldest daughter of Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor, tied the knot with Anand back in May 2018. © Instagram/Sonam Kapoor According to reports, the star has refuted news of her pregnancy many times during the course of her marriage. The actress was last seen in the 2019 Bollywood film The Zoya Factor, in which she starred alongside Dulquer Salmaan. Sonam also made a cameo appearance in the Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap film AK vs AK, which was released on Netflix in 2020. View the full article
  4. King Khan of Bollywood, also known as Shah Rukh Khan is known for a lot of things. From giving iconic blockbusters like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge to Raees, doing his signature step where he opens his arms to giving his million dollar smile on the camera, SRK doesn’t just know how to win hearts, but how to make a permanent place in them too. And for those of you who are wondering how he does it, it is by making countless, little but meaningful gestures that imprint his name on our hearts. Like this recent one, where the 'Baadshaah' of Bollywood was spotted at the Mumbai airport, greeting everyone along the way and how. View this post on Instagram He was seen getting down from his car, surrounded by his security personnel, his driver and lots of paps. His walk was just on point, as was his style in a long jacket, tied back hair and a bandana to add some flavor. And as SRK approached the Airport check-in, he first hugged his driver a goodbye and then greeted the CISF officer at the gate with folded hands, as he proceeded further. There was no pride, no ego, pure gesture and a genuine smile. © Manav Manglani After the video was posted online, it garnered several comments and likes from fans who just couldn’t get enough of the star. Calling him a star with a ‘Spine’ and saying things like, 'King for a reason’, “Uff king the way walking and that hug he gave to his driver” were telling of just how much respect he commands over his fans. © Manav Manglani Another user commented, “His walk, his smile, his dimples and he is more than enough to get goosebumps can a superstar be so humble like him King for a reason.” © Manav Manglani Although a couple of people on the internet also pointed out the lack of security check for Shah Rukh Khan, since he wasn’t even asked to pull his mask down. One user on Instagram even wrote, “This is such a major security lasp why the hell he wasn't checked by the security guard. No removing of masks to check identity and no checking at all. This VIP culture in India is ridiculous. This should be taken up by the authorities very seriously.” View this post on Instagram Meanwhile, the superstar is back in action as he gears up for his next release - Pathaan, on January 25, 2023. The movie whose little snippet with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham has created quite a stir would be one of the most anticipated action-thrillers. View the full article

  8. Amid the pandemic that locked us all across the world within our homes, one good thing that probably came out of it was that we actually started exploring films, TV shows, and documentaries other than the languages we are comfortable in. Be it German shows like Dark, South Korean shows like Squid Game, and many others, the pandemic made us become true appreciators of cinema. One such show that became immensely popular in India was the Spanish show Money Heist, and it became such a hit that people can't wait for the second part of its fifth and final season, which is releasing later this week. © Netflix Well, Netflix clearly understood the importance of its Indian reception and had something else in store for the fans. The streaming platform actually gave Money Heist a Bollywood twist by starring popular actor Ayushmann Khurrana in it. © Netflix Not only that, the Vicky Donor actor actually gets to dress up as The Professor in the promo with Netflix India also dropping a different version of the show's song Bella Ciao. To our surprise, Ayushmann looks amazing as The Professor, something that maybe the original actor Álvaro Morte would approve of. Here! Check it out! In the ad, Ayushmann stars as the biggest Money Heist fan and is seen to be prepping up for the red carpet event of Money Heist. Then, from there on, he can be seen sitting shirtless while playing the piano and singing about how excited he is for the final season. “It's been laid out, the red carpet is waiting but I am only waiting for you. Bella ciao ciao ciao. The final season is almost here, your biggest fan says ciaooo,” he can be heard singing in Hindi. Ayushmann truly rocked in the look and even goes with the catchphrase 'The Professor Always Has A Plan' in the ad. Well, people on social media of course could not resist checking the promo out, and here's what they had to say. 9. The Harry Potter franchise, be it the books or the amazing movies, is one which was one of the most successful franchises the world ever saw. Whether it was people lining up outside bookstores to get their copy on the release of the new Harry Potter book or people watching the movies in cinema halls, the series had magic that certainly could not ever be replicated. © Warner Bros. As we bid farewell to the original Harry Potter series back in 2011 with the release of the final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, we knew that we also said goodbye to a part of our childhood that made us believe in magic. However, 10 years on, HBO has made sure that we get a taste of what things were like when the Harry Potter movies were around. That's right! After witnessing the release of the Friends: The Reunion, which was aired not so long ago, HBO Max has now decided to bring together the cast members of the original Harry Potter movies for a TV reunion special. View this post on Instagram Yes! Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint & Emma Watson, who played the roles of Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, and Hermione Granger will lead the rest of the cast members in coming back for the reunion. HBO even released the teaser for it, making us go like, 'Where did that come from?' This event will be the first time that all the lead actors will be seen together on TV since the culmination of the original Harry Potter movie series. Titled Return To Hogwarts, the TV special will see the trio joined by cast members Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, and Tom Felton. The reunion special was announced by HBO exactly 20 years after the US release of the first film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. © Warner Bros. The 52-second teaser trailer of Return To Hogwarts showed different clips from the movies while promising that “the legendary cast” would return “to where the magic started”. Insane, right? Well, you can watch the TV special on January 1, 2022. View the full article
  10. Whether you’re in a romantic relationship, or part of a closely knit family or simply super-attached to your best-friend, there will come a time when despite knowing them so well, you’d be at a loss of words. via GIPHY These moments are usually the ones where the other person calls you in a state of panic and self-deprecation, leaving you befuddled about what to say or do next to make them feel better. And speaking from experience, saying ‘calm down’ seldom ever works. If anything, it only adds fuel to the fire, and last we checked, no one wants that. Which is why, next time you feel confused or troubled about how to manage to calm someone down without asking them to calm down, here are a few things you can do instead! 1) Offer Them Space To Cool Off via GIPHY It’s okay sometimes to not have the perfect thing to say to someone who is panicking or getting hyper. And it is during that time, when you can let your actions make up for it. Instead of giving advice right away, allow the person to take her time to chill out. Offer them a glass of water, suggest them to take deep breaths or even take a stroll. This way, you’d perhaps be suggesting ways for them to calm down, without actually saying it. 2) Don’t Dismiss Their Feelings via GIPHY Instead of simply denying their feelings or their emotions, by dismissive statements like ‘don’t worry about that’, or ‘why would you feel this way’, try to validate their feelings for a change. Telling the other person how they may be wrong in experiencing a certain emotion will only make them feel more aloof or even attacked for simply sharing. Hence, you can start by supporting them and saying things like, ‘I understand’, or ‘that must be so stressful’. This way, they’re more likely to feel heard and will eventually simmer down. 3) Let Them Arrive At The Solution via GIPHY There are times when someone we love calls us up in a state of mess and the first thing that comes to mind is to offer them a quick fix. We simply start trying to come up with a solution for them, instead of enabling them to arrive on it by themselves. Rather than coming up with ideas to fix their worries, support them long enough so that they are back in a position to deal with their crisis. Chances are, they already know what to do but are simply a little overwhelmed. 4) Don’t Be Judgemental via GIPHY The biggest piece of advice here would be to be there for your friend or your partner without making them feel that you’re judging them for their reaction. Whether or not they are presently blowing things out of proportion, it won’t be the right time to point it out or even give them a hint about you being judgemental about it. Sometimes simple reassurance and acknowledgement does more than anything else. 5) Ask Them How You Can Contribute via GIPHY The best way you can help someone who is overreacting or getting anxious to calm down, is by conveying to them how they’re not alone, and that you’re there for them, willing to do help. Even a simple, ‘Is there any way I can make this better’ can go a long way in making them feel better and a lot more calmer. Because sometimes, all you need is to know someone has your back. 11. For fans of cinema and people who enjoy watching web series, this really is a golden age when it comes to good content, especially if you are living in India. Gone are the days when you'd be waiting for an American tv series ka ek, ek episode before downloading it from a torrent site. © iStock Things have really changed with the introduction of OTT platforms like Prime Video, Netflix, and others, and thankfully, the web series scene is really kicking off when it comes to the Indian film industry. © Netflix Shows like Delhi Crime, Sacred Games, and Mirzapur, and a whole lot of others have given India a global name in terms of visual content, and well, there are a whole lot of good series that have become very popular amongst people. One such show is the TVF produced Kota Factory whose season 1 really made quite an impact with cinephiles in general. © Netflix The show directed by Raghav Subbu, had a stellar cast of Jitendra Kumar, Mayur More, Ranjan Raj, Ahsaas Channa, Alam Khan, Revathi Pillai, and Urvi Singh. With the show revolving around the town of Kota, displaying the lives of students preparing for competitive examinations through coaching, it certainly was a very relatable thing for most viewers who also have gone through the same process. Now, after the success of the first season, the show is back with season 2, which takes off from where it left off as Vaibhav, one of the leading characters, embarks on his journey to Maheshwari, one of Kota's leading training institutes. Again, the emphasis will be on how along with Jeetu Bhaiya, Vaibhav will try to balance the pressures of getting into IIT, while maintaining friendships and relationships with his mentor. Soon after the release of the second season, viewers got onto Twitter to share what they felt about the show, and the reactions were really positive. Let's take a look at some. #KotaFactory Season 2 review: The performances are once again relatable, capturing the joys, sorrows, and anguish of a large chunk of this generation that spends years of their lives in getting past some competitive exams#KotaFactory2https://t.co/DvXx96CgDx — The Hindu Cinema (@TheHinduCinema) September 24, 2021Watched Kota Factory season 2.. it is such an amazing series with which I can completely relate myself #tvf #KotaFactorySeason2#netflixindia pic.twitter.com/BWovbuMpQc — Ashutosh (@ashutosh__75) September 25, 2021Much awaited season 2 of kota factory released... #KotaFactorySeason2 pic.twitter.com/xdrivhUPa8 — Salman Manzoor (@SalmanDar32) September 24, 2021 One person highlighted how it was similar to season 1 in terms of nostalgia and how it was a pure emotional ride. 12. As the name is suggestive itself, Sufi music is legit the type of music inspired and dedicated to the magic brewed by Sufi poets. Most commonly found in the culture of South-East Asia, this devotional form of music is truly healing for an aching heart. Here are 10 beautiful Sufi numbers from Bollywood movies which will help you on days when anxiety takes the best part of you: 1. Kun Faya Kun This heart-touching song is known to really hold you up, and that’s not just my personal belief but ask anyone, and we all have a story associated with this song. The lyrics are inspired and taken from the holy Quran and the Rigveda. Kun Faya translates to “be, and it is''. Also, special mention for this line which reads Tune mujhko banaya mai toh jag ko na bhaya. 2. Arziyan Another song that simply explains the power of making an ‘arzi’, a request to the powerful almighty. It begins with Arziyaan sari mein chehre pe likh ke laaya hoon, Tumse kya mangu mein tum khud hi samjah l. What better way of telling you that sometimes, faith is stronger than doubt. 3. Piya Haji Ali This powerful number is a masterpiece by AR Rahman and is a soulful dedication to the 19th-century saint Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari. This song talks about unity amongst the world where no religion is above another and inner happiness. 4. Ya Ali This song is like the first drop of water you drink when you are thirsty. It quenches a thirst you didn’t even know existed. The song calls out the name of God and expresses how one is ready to be diminished for the love of one’s life. 5. Bulleya My favourite part of this song is the singer basically describing the ‘rooh ka parinda’ in the most poetic way possible. As he sings, ‘ve ki karaan’ ( what do I do), something we ask ourselves every day! 6. Khwaja Mere Khwaja A simple, yet powerful song that makes you feel the divine power, only if you know how to listen with your heart. 7. Aas Paas Khuda This is a beautiful reminder for days when crippling anxiety grips you like no other. Even though we don’t always feel it, the supreme power is protecting us and is around us at all times. 8. Maula Mere Maula This one is surely a timeless masterpiece. Sung in the silky voice of Roop Kumar Rathod, this is the best song to describe one’s godly dedication and affection for one’s love. 9. Mann Ki Lagan This number is loaded with memories for a lot of us 90s kids. Another lovely devotion for a lover explaining how the heart only seeks love and is wildly searching for them. Basically, this song is immortal, if you ask me. 10. Ha Raham This magical song transports you into a zone unknown. Unwavering faith, questioning life and its path, all the worries, this song expresses it all. The singer is urging the powerful ‘Khuda’ to just keep everyone ‘mehfuz’ (safe), and no words do it better than this song. View the full article

Many experts, including former England captain Nasser Hussain, believed that this Indian team led by Virat Kohli would not be bullied like the previous generations. Indian batting great Sunil Gavaskar, who dominated world cricket in the late 70s and 80s, wasn’t pleased with Hussain’s remarks and when the two came face to face, albeit virtually, during the pre-match show, things got so ugly between them that Harsha Bhogle had to intervene to calm things down. © Reuters Referring to Hussain’s Dailymail article, Gavaskar demanded an explanation from the former England captain for his opinion piece and things began to heat up. “You said this India will not be bullied as perhaps the previous generations would be. Belonging to [the] previous generation, could you perhaps enlighten which generation? And what is the exact meaning of bully?” Gavaskar asked Hussain before the toss on Sony Sports Network. Instead of comparing the two eras, Hussain politely answered that all he meant was that no side in the world would want to take on Kohli’s team because they might end up regretting it, just like England did at Lord’s. © Instagram/Indian Cricket Team “I just think, the Indian side under the aggression of the past, would have said ‘no no no’. But what Kohli has done is to make them go doubly hard. I saw a little bit of that in Sourav Ganguly’s side and he started that, [and now] Virat is continuing with it. Even when Virat was not there, Ajinkya really went hard at the Australians. I just don’t think you want to wake this Indian side up,” Hussain gave a polite reply. Gavaskar, however, wasn’t ready to buy his reply and dragged things further and reminded him of the results players of his generation were able to achieve in England. © Reuters “But when you say previous generations were bullied, I don’t think so. I’d be very upset if my generation was being talked about as being bullied. If you have a look at the record, in 1971 we won, that was my first tour in England. 1974, we had internal problems so we lost 3-0. 1979, we lost 1-0, it could have been 1-1 if we chased down 438 at the Oval. 1982 we again lost 1-0. In 1986 we won 2-0, we could have won it 3-0. So, I don’t think my generation were bullied. I don’t think aggression means you have always got to be at the face of the opposition. You can show passion, you can show your commitment towards your team without yelling after each fall of wicket,” Gavaskar said. Watching things escalate between the two legends of the game, presenter Harsha Bhogle intervened and calmed things down. Fans, who had tuned in to get expert’s opinion about what strategies both teams could deploy in the third Test among other things, were left fuming as they saw two former cricketers clash. © Reuters In fact, most of the fans loved how Hussain reacted to the whole situation and expressed himself in a very polite manner. Gavaskar, on the other hand, was slammed for starting an unnecessary fight over it and dragging it for far too long. The way he gave excuses for the series that he lost in England was nothing but comical and added to people’s fury. I think Nasser is entitled to his opinion. And he was being grilled on an opinion piece. SMG also entitled to his but saying 'we could've won in '79, we had internal problems in '74 etc' was silly. It could have been light-hearted & respectful, instead it got serious & awkward. https://t.co/CxBK5j4R5t — Raunak Kapoor (@RaunakRK) August 25, 2021That was so unnecessary from Gavaskar, glad that Nasser Hussain reacted the way he did. https://t.co/9xjgnB92Tr — Omkar Mankame (@Oam_16) August 25, 2021Seriously Sunil Gavaskar is a grumpy old man. Fighting against Nasser Hussain at the start of the pre-match show on his recent article and it is quite unnecessary. You could have had a discussion in between the match but this debate was unnecessary @SonySportsIndia #Cricket — Aryan Jain (@aryan_jain17) August 25, 2021Hard to understand why Gavaskar is getting so hyper nowadays. Needs to calm down — subhasis (@subhasis19) August 25, 2021Cringe man, why does he have to attach personal stigma to every time someone says this is the best indian team, did so when ravi shastri said the same after bgt 2018 win — (@chillyycorndog) August 25, 2021Sunny is a legend but this was unnecessary pettiness on his part . Kudos to @nassercricket for respectfully swaying away from the line and not escalating the uncomfortable situation in the studio. — Chris Elisha (@chriselisha) August 25, 2021 Everyone is entitled to their opinion and targeting someone for an opinion piece that he wrote a few days back was clearly uncalled for. Instead of going at him on Live TV, there were much better ways he could have handled the situation in. View the full article
