  2. For someone who was often labelled as brash and overtly aggressive early in his career, Virat Kohli has come a long way to not only mature into an astute leader for Team India, but also as one of the best batsmen in modern-day cricket. Today, he stands tall with numerous batting and captaincy records highlighting his success in international cricket. Owing to his success with the willow, Kohli is one of the only three cricketers to enjoy a lucrative A+ central contract with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that allows him to earn a staggering Rs 7 crore per year. Located in the Czech Republic, this one is in the middle of the mountains. The construction of this particular bunker began back in 1984, at the time of Cold war and is now ready to offer protection, for any sort of apocalypse. The bunker includes a gym, spa, cinema, library and other luxurious facilities. The bunker is actually so gorgeous, that you wouldn't want to leave this heavenly place. This one was constructed by Jakub Zamrazil, a successful real estate businessman. The price will set you back around $8 Million. 2. Vivos Europa One © YouTube Made under a mountain, Vivos Europa One has the ultimate experience of a luxury house. The bunker has five-star facilities that even private apartments cannot give you. 6. Motorola has been slacking with its presence, at least in India. The company is nowhere to be seen in front of the Chinese brands that are dominating the market left and right. But it looks like Motorola wants to hit a home run and make a comeback this year. It's planning on doing that with the launch of the Moto Razr. Yes, the foldable phone will finally be made available in India soon. Honestly, the Moto Razr isn't just a revival of the original Razr phone. This one is a full-fledged foldable device that's going head-to-head with Samsung's Galaxy Flip as one of the first few foldable phones you can buy right now. But this isn't a phone that you buy for its specs. The Moto Razr isn't going to entertain with the latest specs on the market. Motorola thinks it can win the consumers with the phone's stylish looks and nostalgia factor. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 710 chipset which is quite old now. It only has up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The battery inside the phone is also very small i.e. just 2,150 mAh. © YouTube/ Motorola The highlight of the phone is its 6.2-inch flexible OLED display. Motorola is using a unique hinge to help the display fold in half to turn the phone into a compact and pocketable device. When the phone is folded, you get to look at a smaller 2.6-inch Quick View OLED display on the top to see all the notifications. As for the camera, there's a 16MP shooter that can be used as both the rear-main camera as well as the selfie shooter. And that's about it when it comes to the specs. Not really that powerful, huh? As I said, Motorola isn't trying to win anybody with the specs here. The company is going after the people who fancy the original Moto Razr and its crazy good flip mechanism. That being said, we haven't had the chance to use the phone extensively to test the phone, so we can't comment on the performance and usability. But what we do know is the price of the phone for now. Pricing & AvailabilityMotorola has launched the Moto Razr in India for Rs 1,24,999. Only one variant of the phone will be available here in India and you'll be able to pick it up from Flipkart starting April 2nd. It's even more expensive than the Galaxy Z Flip in India, making it one of the most expensive phones you can buy in the market today. View the full article
  7. Ever since Ishaan Khatter made his entry into Bollywood with Dhadak, all eyes have been on his acting chops. But that's not just it. A quick look at his sartorial choices and you would also see how gutsy and stylish this young lad is. He is Shahid Kapoor's younger brother, and just like him, even Ishaan is a sneakerhead who has sported some zany sneakers from his collection. View this post on InstagramBaby boy I always got your back.A post shared by (@shahidkapoor) Recently, the actor who is set to star in Khaali Peeli with Ananya Panday was spotted in a casual, relaxed outfit and the most badass pair of kicks we have seen in a while. This pair, which looks like it would burn a big hole in your pocket, is actually actually quite affordable. © Viral Bhayani But, before we go any further, what's also noteworthy is his ensemble that legit makes it possible for men to take notes for their style upgrade. © Viral Bhayani The joggers in question are gaining all the style points, specifically because they are not a usual pair that we see. Add to that the well-fitted salmon pink t-shirt is arguably the best way to elevate a regular day out attire. © Nike As far his sneakers go, these are certainly quite quirky. He is wearing NIKE MEN AIR MAX UPTEMPO 95. This iteration features a white leather upper with black nubuck overlays. The blue accents added to these sneakers actually make it look quite royal. That with swoosh logo and pull tabs adds to the retro appeal of these sneakers. © Viral Bhayani These sneakers are originally priced at $160 but you can find great deals currently and get them under $95 which sums to Rs 6, 900. Not bad, right? © Viral Bhayani While he has coupled his sartorial choices in a pleasing manner, what we also took notice of were his accessories. The oversized beanie and opaque rounded glasses added a dose of insouciance to his overall look. All in all, Ishaan took top points for casual coolness and undoubtedly, we stan for his style. Keep it up! View the full article
  8. If there's one actor we know who always goes against the tide with his bold fashion choices, it is Ranveer Singh. He has an unapologetically loud wardrobe that's a perfect mix of number of zany styles. Not just that, Ranveer also has an expensive taste. Be it his Burberry suit or his Franck Muller watches, everything that he sports, usually comes with a price that you and I can only think of paying in our dreams. Here are some ridiculously expensive things that Ranveer has splurged his hard-earned pay cheques on. 1. Franck Muller Vanguard Yachting Watch Number 64716 © Viral Bhayani Ranveer is Franck Muller's brand ambassador and he owns a massive collection of watches from this brand. Out of all of them, Franck Muller Vanguard Yachting Watch Number 64716 is an exclusive and rare timepiece that he has. This is one of the most outrageously expensive watches that costs a whopping amount of Rs 2.6 crores and since Ranveer loves all things flashy, this watch didn't come as a surprise to us. 2. Ariel Vintage Motorcycle © Viral Bhayani In India, finding a Ariel Vintage Motorcycle is a rarity. While there are only three or four Ariel Vintage Motorcycle, one of them is owned by Ranveer. This bike was seen in his movie Lootera, starring Sonakshi Sinha back in 2013. The makers of this film gifted Ranveer the exclusive bike as a token of appreciation and it is estimated that the bike is worth something in the ballpark of Rs 7 lakhs. Yes, let that sink in. 3. Gucci Reversible Wool Coat © Viral Bhayani We all know that Ranveer has a quirky style sense who never fails to channel his inner maximalist to his full potential. Add to that, his Gucci Cap is another expensive addition that rounds up to Rs 31,000. Well, all this on an outfit? Hats off, Ranveer. 4. Mercedes Benz GLS © TOI The Mercedes Benz GLS is one of the most expensive cars that Ranveer owns. This one, in particular, is a customised one and has a matte black paint job on it. 9. Admit it, at some point of time in your life you have fantasised about becoming filthy rich, by winning the lottery or a massive inheritance or something, and made a wishlist of all the things that you would do with that money. Yes or no? © iStock Now, you for sure may have thought of buying a fancy mansion in the poshest areas that you can think of, thought of going on a world tour and stay at the most luxurious hotels, and have the best that the world of culinary arts has to offer. Oh, and buy a fleet of Ferraris and Lamborghinis and some other exotic brands. With us so far? © Scenic Rush Well, believe it or not, there are a few among us who are not just savants and bon vivants who want to enjoy all the finer joys of life, but massive hypebeasts who dream of owning the most hyped sneakers and street style goods someday, well before they even hit the market. Even though they are quite content owning the latest editions of Yeezys and Jordans, they aspire to own a closet full of Ablohâs and Balenciagas. © iStock Well, if ever that day comes and you end up with a ton load of cash to burn on sneakers, these are the pieces that you ought to go for. Now mind you, they are not the most expensive sneakers out there. There are a few rare one-offs and limited edition pieces that were worn by sport legends, or that have been dipped in gold or are made from the locks of a mermaid, essentially sneakers that are monstrosities in their own right. The sneakers we are talking about are regular, run-of-the-mill pieces, which, in spite of being âcommonplaceâ are so exquisite, that they have managed to leave us absolutely smitten. Christian Louboutin Red Runners - Rs. 90,000 © Christian Louboutin Straight from the Parisian ateliers of one of the most iconic footwear makers ever, comes a sneaker that is mesmerizing in every single way. Called the Red Runners, these sneakers, come in a number of variants, each of which, have a very dandy-esque appeal. Thanks to its avant-garde design and varied use of exotic materials for its upper, including stuff like wet leather and patent leather counters and is adorned with metal spikes, this is truly a masterpiece. Gucci Flashtrek Menâs Sneakers - Rs. 85,000 © Gucci When it comes to creating a hype, no one does it better than Gucci. Their Flashtrek sneakers are genuinely one of the most iconic chunky sneakers in the market today, especially if you consider the one that they have for women, with the crystal-studded bands that spruce up the style of the sneakers. As for the ones that were designed for men, they only âmake doâ with golden lace loops. That, along with the retro-inspired Gucci logo in Sega font on the tongue, make it one of the most iconic pieces ever. This is a timeless classic in the making. Ermenegildo Zegna Couture Claudio Sneakers - Rs 80,000 © Ermenegildo Zegna Sneakers do not get any zanier than the Claudio Couture Sneakers from Ermenegildo Zegna. They have a very unusual silhouette, thanks to the bumps on the uppers, which, when combined with the rather understated colours that they come in, look rather classy, but with an oozing panache. Louis Vuitton Run Away Pulse - Rs 95,000 © Louis Vuitton There was no way that Louis Vuitton would have not have made this list. One of the most popular and iconic high fashion brands to be in the market right now, LV has been hitting out of the park for quite some time. And ever since Virgil Abloh took the reign of the company in his own hands, they are a different thing altogether. The Run Away Pulse has the silhouette of that of hiking boots, but the finish and details of that of a finely made suit. Definitely worth the price. Now, there are a number of sneakers from LV that are actually even more expensive, but we havenât been able to locate them in India. Sure, you can get them imported, but be ready to pay out some heft taxes and duties Salvatore Ferragamo Gancini Chunky Sneakers - Rs 65,000 © Salvatore Ferragamo There was a time when Ferragamo was considered shoemakers to the stars. At one point of time, the whoâs who of the world were wearing Ferragamo. Is it any wonder that they would be making the list then? We particularly like their Gancini Chunky Sneakers. They have a very unique aesthetic - thanks to a chunky silhouette and quirky and zany detailings; they are a massive hit not just among our filmstars but also with celebrities and tycoons all over the world. 10. With great power comes great responsibility, sure. But with great money comes a whole lot of questions, and perhaps the most important one is âwhat should I be splurging on?â Thereâs a whole universe of choices out there if youâre an A-lister in Indian business, sports or entertainment - fast cars, luxury rides, finely crafted accessories and heck, why not throw in a private yacht or jet for the heck of it? Here are some of the most desirable purchases recently made by Indiaâs elite, and why we want to get our hands on them. Krunal Pandyaâs Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Rainbow Yellow Gold Oyster - Rs 89.90 Lakh © Instagram Like his younger brother Hardik, all-rounder Krunal Pandya has a fondness for bling of all kinds - fast cars, slick fashion and some seriously exclusive taste in timepieces. Heâs often been spotted wearing a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Rainbow Yellow Gold Oyster - a timepiece worn by international celebrity royalty ranging from comedian Kevin Hart to musicians John Mayer and Post Malone. Every time you flick your wrist to check the time, you also get a glimpse of Rolexâs proprietary platinum-gold alloy - studded with 56 brilliant-cut diamonds. Time is money, friends. Vikram Oberoiâs Ducati 1299 Superleggera - Rs. 1.2 Crore © Zigwheels Easily the most expensive bike purchase ever made in the country, this Italian crotch rocket was snagged by the Oberoi Group head honcho a few years ago in 2017. Lean, mean and weighing just about as much as a Bajaj Pulsar (while being over 10 times as powerful), this is just what youâre looking for if you want to go fast. Real fast. Gautam Singhaniaâs Ferrari 458 Challenge - Rs. 5 Crore © Overdrive It takes one kind of man to buy an expensive, exotic sports car - it takes entirely another to work hard at training under ex-F1 racers and become the first Indian to win a race at the coveted Ferrari Challenge Championships. The W222 Maybach isnât just the pinnacle of opulence on four wheels - itâs nearly indestructible as well, with bulletproof plating, underside protection against bombs or mines and even special tyres capable of running while flat. 11. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tackled the biggest elephant in the room just hours ago as she presented the Union Budget for 2020-21. The Budget becomes crucial because it gives us an estimate of the expected expenditure of the government for the given period of time. But really, for people like you and me who do not want to get into the nitty-gritty of the Annual Budget, our leading concerns lay in how the proposed Budget is going to impact our lives immediately. Which is to say, how we may be profiting or failing to benefit from the proposed financial projections - what becomes cheaper, what becomes costlier and what becomes of our personal savings to put things very simply. © Twitter So, without beating around the bush anymore, letâs directly get to what it is that you are really here for. First off, your cigarettes are going to get costlier and so are other tobacco-based products. Additionally, medical equipment will also become more expensive due to higher taxes on imports. © Pexels Imported footwear and furniture will also burn a hole in your pockets, so we suppose many of us will be cutting corners when it comes to setting up our houses. Even the kitchen may not look as dapper as youâd imagine because customs duty on porcelain, clay iron, steel and copper has been doubled. © Pexels However, there is some relief to be found in the fact that the withdrawal of customs duty on raw sugar, agro-animal based products, Tuna bait, skimmed milk, specific alcoholic beverages, soya fibre and soy protein will bring their prices down. In addition to all that, Finance Minister Sitharaman also announced the lower tax slabs under a new income tax regime which has been the biggest highlight of the session. Though we are still not sure where the economy is headed post today, hereâs hoping we can make the most of whatâs been served. View the full article
  12. Thereâs being a bonafide style icon, and then there are visionaries that really shake up the way we look at style and fashion. And in a category and league of his own, there is Aparshakti Khurana, dropping some hardcore style statements one after the other. © Instagram/aparshakti_khurana Not only did the man wear his co-actressâs sunglasses just to make a statement, he also found a zany new way of adding bling and accessories to an otherwise simple and dope outfit - by using security and price tags. Mind you, all of this was on a regular day of the week. © Instagram/aparshakti_khurana And then, there are moments such as this recent one where he was spotted wearing one of the zaniest and hands down, the most insane pieces that we have ever seen. © Viral Bhayani Aparshakti Khurana was spotted at the screening of Saif Ali Khanâs Jawaani Jaaneman in a sweater that was so tattered, that it could easily be mistaken for an ages-old mop. That, coupled with a pair of extremely dirty sneakers that he is wearing, does go a long way for that edgy, goth-meets-punk aesthetic that heâs going for. © Lyst The price, you ask? Well, it retails for over $625, or just shy of Rs 45,000. Do keep in mind that you have to shell out a couple of thousands more in duties and taxes. Aparshakti is wearing a heavily distressed sweater in black, from Alexander McQueen. The sweater does look zany and has a very raw edge to it. When it comes to the overall ensemble, it does sit well with the rest of his ensemble, especially considering the light blue jumpers that help in bringing out the contrast of the sweater. © Viral Bhayani We also like the retro-looking pair of club master sunglasses that heâs wearing. As a choice of an accessory, we honestly canât that think of something that uplifts the ensemble with the subtlety that the sunglasses do. © Viral Bhayani Coming to his super dirty sneakers, Aparshakti is wearing the Leather Ball Star Sneakers from Golden Goose. The Venetian high fashion brand is actually a favourite among our B-towners and often sell out like hotcakes as soon as they hit the shelves. They are also known for their dirty and soiled sneakers, which is a rather kitschy take on contemporary sneaker designs. © Golden Goose The sneakers that Aparshaktiâs wearing has a very â90s aesthetic. The vintage appeal of the sneakers is further accentuated by the manner in which the black star and the silver metallic appliques sit on the white leather. © Golden Goose © Viral Bhayani All in all, a really cool outfit. Who knew that hobo chic would make such a strong and fashionable comeback. View the full article
  13. We all know the ABC that rules the zeitgeist of Indiaâs pop-culture wherein A stands for Astrology, B for Bollywood and C for cricket. Just take a look at any entertainment daily and their page 3 and youâll get an idea of how ardently we look at celebrities from the film fraternity and their personal lives. © Instagram/virat.kohli Even with cricketers, most of us have a keen interest in their shenanigans (or lack thereof) off the field, over their stellar performances on it. Be it their lavish lifestyle, who theyâre dating and what their opinion is on serious political matters, we as a society look up to or towards them in one way or the other. © Instagram/hardikpandya93 Speaking about the lavish lifestyles that some of our cricketers lead, we couldnât help but notice how like most men, they too love to splurge their hard-earned cash on some common toys that men and boys envy - cars, watches and bikes, primarily. © MensXP Here are some of the most ridiculously expensive watches that we have seen some of our cricketers wear, when they were out and about in the public. 1. Krunal Pandya © Instagram/krunalpandya_official As much as a fashion icon his younger brother Hardik is, Krunal does not actually lag behind when it comes to style. Agreed that it isnât as egregiously good as Hardikâs, Krunal still has managed to turn our heads on more than one occasion. He has often been spotted donning a rather dope Rolex, particularly the Cosmograph Daytona Rainbow Yellow Gold Oyster. The price? Well, it reportedly retails for Rs. 89.90 lakh. 2. MS Dhoni © Twitter/panerai Being the brand ambassador of a major luxury watchmaker, is it a surprise that âCaptain Coolâ is on the list? A de facto horologist, even before he broke on to the cricketing scene, he has often been spotted wearing a rather suave Panerai Radiomir California worth Rs. 9.25 lakh. And just like the man himself, we have to say, the watch itself is rather cool. 3. Umesh Yadav © Instagram/umeshyaadav The right-arm fast bowler may not be a fashion icon as such, but he clearly knows his watches. Umesh Yadav is a fan of chunky big machined watches and is also known for his love of big chunky chronographs. Even while playing on the field, he has often been spotted wearing the Graham Silverstone Stowe 500 Blue Flyback, which retails for just over Rs. 11.00 lakh. 4. KL Rahul © Instagram/rahulkl Another fashion icon that is currently a part of the Indian cricketing pantheon, KL Rahul actually has a zany sense of style. Just take a look at our cover story with him, and youâll get an idea of what weâre on about. From some really dapper sneakers to a zany, Pokemon inspired Fendi fanny pack, he has done it all. From the rather impressive collection of watches that he has, we particularly are in awe of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 37 that we have seen him wear time and again. The retail price for the watch? Just under Rs. 13.25 lakh. 5. Jasprit Bumrah © Instagram/jaspritb1 One of those cricketers who arenât exactly known for his sartorial choices, Jasprit Bumrah actually has a sick collection of watches, one that would definitely pique the interest of your average horologist and watch enthusiasts. Here, he is seen wearing an all-time classic, and a rather coveted piece from Rolex, the Daytona Chrono, worth over Rs. 25.70 lakh. 6. Harbhajan Singh © Instagram/harbhajan3 Ever since his retirement from all forms of cricket, it seems Harbhajan is becoming a full-blown, bona fide fashion icon, all thanks to the countless gigs he has signed up for as a commentator. Just like the suave and understated manner in which he dresses himself, his watches too have a suave appeal. Here, he is wearing a rather sick Hublot, particularly, the Classic Fusion Orlinski Green which retails for Rs. 16.00 lakh. 7. Hardik Pandya © Instagram/hardikpandya93 Well, you saw this coming. There was no way that we would leave Hardik out of this list. Say what you will about Hardik, he surely knows how to pick his timepieces and boy, does he have an impressive collection. Of course, he has all the usual suspects that a horologist with a bucket ton of money would have - Rolexes, Hublots, Panerais, Rados, Omegas et al. But what has caught everyoneâs fancy is the rather simplistic, yet zany Patek Phillipe Nautilus 5980/1R that he wore when he was admitted in a hospital. Now, some people estimate that the watch is worth Rs. 80.00 lakh, but there have been instances, where they have actually been sold for as high as Rs. 1.25 crore. Now thatâs something, right? 14. Canadian rapper Drake presented a Yams pendant to friend A$AP Rocky to mark late A$AP Yams day 2020. The pendant is made of over 500 grams of gold and 15 carats of flawless diamonds. According to reports, the market value of gold-diamond pendant is a whopping $150,000. The diamond shrouded pendant was crafted by skilled jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills and the single piece took more than three months to be completed, it is further reported. The famed gem dealer made sure to bring this jewel to perfection with the use of 500 grams of gold, 15 carats of diamonds and little yet paramount details of the whole design. All of Yams’ essences from his tattoos and his Coogi sweaters, everything is carved perfectly in the pendant. A single pendant is known to cost around $150,000. Yams Day was established in 2016 after the death of A$AP Yams. A portion of the earnings is donated to a charity which was established by Yams’s mother to help adolescents who are coping with substance abuse.
  15. One thing that sets Kartik Aaryan apart from other B-town celebrities is his relatable fashion sense. The latest instance where he wore a pair of sneakers worth Rs. 5,000 proves that he likes to hoard brands that are not just affordable but also easy for all of us to cop. © Viral Bhayani Another thing that's absolutely fascinating about Kartik is the fact that he can pull off anything. Be it a pair of hi-top sneakers with straps and pins or his casual ensembles, he knows how to keep up his fashion game. Take a look at his recent fashion experiment where he was spotted with Sara Ali Khan in a zany pair of sneakers that look nothing like the usual ones he wears. Check it out here © Viral Bhayani © Jimmy Choo Kartik stepped out wearing Jimmy Choo's Diamond Trail Sneakers. Speaking of its construction, this pair looks aesthetically quite pleasing with its edgy toggle fastening and holographic inserts. Furthermore, these sneakers have a chunky rubber sole. These fashion-forward sneakers revved up Kartik's repertoire to new heights. © Jimmy Choo These Diamond sneakers are worth Rs. 64,000. Mind you, this excludes customs and import duties as this pair isn't available in India. Now, when you compare the overall price of these sneakers to diamonds, they are definitely not inexpensive. The diamond's rate varies as per the carat, cut, colour and clarity. The more flawless it is, the higher the prices are. These sneakers with their unique construction absolutely justify the pricing. © Viral Bhayani Speaking of Kartik's outfit, it has a hipster vibe to it and the way he has paired his oversized hoodie with acid wash jeans makes it even more statement-worthy. Clearly, Kartik has topped the fashion game and we cannot wait for more such looks. Hats off! View the full article
  16. Ronaldo vs Messi, Messi vs Ronaldo...for football fans, the debate is as ageless and classic as the debate on which tastes better, Coca Cola or Pepsi. There's no clear cut answer to this conundrum. © Giphy Say what you will about the two, you simply cannot dismiss one thing - that as far as style is concerned, he has a leg up over the little maestro. From some really zany hairstyles to insanely pricey and rare watches, the man seems to have a penchant for the finer things in life. © Instagram/cristiano In fact, we did a quick check, and it turns out, Cristiano has a soft spot for timepieces. Who knew that the Juventus forward would be a bona fide horologist? © Instagram/cristiano The latest watch that he was spotted wearing, a piece that he recently gifted himself, is truly a thing to behold. The particular watch that he is wearing is the GMT Master Ice from Rolex, the most expensive watch they offer. © Reuters Made entirely from 18 karat white gold, the watch's face is embellished with numerous tiny diamonds. There are real diamonds on the strap as well - all in all, Cristiano is carrying about 30 carats of diamonds just on his wrist. © Instagram/rolexenthusiastsociety The watch, in its most rudimentary form, is a classic and is more familiar to commoners as the GMT Master II, or the Pepsi watch as it is known, thanks to its red and blue bezels. © Rolex The Master Ice, apart from being one heck of a way to flex some style muscles, is also a very capable watch, considering its bedazzled glory. Being a watch with Rolex's 2186 calibre, it has a self-winding mechanical movement and has been certified as a chronograph. The watch is also capable of working flawlessly well and precise, even at a depth of 100 metres. Considering how most watches conk out at a depth beyond 50 metres, this is quite impressive. © Rolex The price of all this sophistication and panache? Well, it's expensive. Very expensive, actually. The watch retails for about $485,350, or Rs 3,49,000 (that's Rs 3 Crore and 49 Lakh). Add about 30 per cent for the cumulative import duties, cess charges and other tariffs, and you are looking at an eye-watering figure of Rs 4.5 Crore, which still is a conservative estimation. © Hodinkee For that amount of money, you can easily afford a 6 bedroom villa in Delhi, considering that you play your cards right. Heck, you can even buy a small island off the coast of Scotland, for that amount and still have lakhs to spare. We kid you not, the island of Little Ross, in the United Kingdom, is listed for just over $425,000. © Wiki Commons That being said, we would actually go for the watch. A piece that flashy and elegant, at the same time? Definitely the watch. View the full article

  18. Bollywood celebs are major sneakerheads - this should not come as a surprise to anyone who follows them on Instagram. From Someone like Shahid Kapoor's futuristic sneakers from Dolce & Gabbana, and his really off the hook pair of White Salomon's, to Arjun Kapoor's pair of super dirty sneakers from Saint Laurent, we have seen it all. © Instagram/theanisha However, there have been some pairs that not only caught our attention because of how zany and quirky they looked but because they downright made us look at our bank balances and cry ourselves to sleep. © Instagram/arjunkapoor Here are some of the most expensive trainers that celebrities from Bollywood have worn this year: 1. Badshah And His Versace Sneakers © Instagram/badboyshah As far as hypebeasts go, perhaps no one comes close to Badshah. From some really expensive Balenciaga's to some really zany pieces from Dior Hommes, the Tareefan hitmaker seems to know where to shop. © Versace However, the pair that really caught our eye were these Chain Reaction 2 Baroque print sneakers from Versace. These normally retail for just under $1,400 or Rs 1,00,000. Made primarily of leather and rubber, these are one thick chunky-soled sneakers. 2. Shahid Kapoor's Maison Margiela © Viral Bhayani Sneakerheads just have to follow Shahid Kapoor and his stylist, Anisha Jain on Instagram. If not for the latest trends that are in style in a given season, then definitely how wild sneakers can actually get. © Maison Margiela Spotted at an airport, here Shahid is seen wearing a pair of Maison Margiela's that are legit made of duct tapes and hot glue. Thanks to its molten crayons aesthetic, they have a very post-apocalyptic vibe to it. The price of such an avant-garde piece? About $1,700 or Rs 1,22,000. 3. Hardik Pandya In Louis Vuitton © Viral Bhayani It should not come as a surprise that Hardik Pandya is on the list. If a man can, very casually may we add, wear a set of co-ord pyjama set worth over Rs 1.65 lakhs to a family dinner, then you know at a social gathering or an event, he will be flexing his muscle. © Highsnobiety Seen here at the party that Karan Johar organised for Katy Perry, Hardik is seen wearing a pair from Louis Vuitton's SS19 collection, their first summer and spring collection under Virgil Abloh. Launched back in 2018, these were limited edition pieces. From what we have heard, these sneakers retailed for just under $2,000 or roughly Rs 1,45,000. Go figure. 4. Maniesh Paul In His Supreme Sneakers © Viral Bhayani For most people, Maniesh Paul's name on this list may come as a surprise, but those people who actually follow him on Instagram, know just about how big a sneakerhead the man really is. © Highsnobiety He has often been seen in a pair of a rather cool pair of Nike X Supreme Air More Uptempo Supreme "Suptempo" Reds. These sneakers used to retail for as high as $1,260 or just shy of Rs 91,000, back when they were in production. However, since they went out, there have been tons and tons of really good cheap knockoffs for as low as Rs 4, 000. We, however, wouldn't really recommend paying that much for knockoffs. 5. Shahid Kapoor In His Rick Owens © Instagram/theanisha Given how big a sneakerhead Shahid Kapoor actually is, it should not come as a surprise that he is on this list twice. © Rick Owens This time around, he's here for these rather badass high top sneakers from Rick Owens. Called the Black & White Hiking Sneaker Boots, these sneakers retail for just shy of Rs 90,000, and are made from some really exquisite and exotic materials such calfskin leather and specially treated rubber. Clearly, our B-Town celebs love splurging on shoes. It would be really interesting when some of them take us around their closets, don't you think? View the full article
  19. That Diljit Dosanjh has a particular taste for the finer things in life should not come as a surprise. Just follow him on any given social media platform and you can see him flexing his style in the latest pair of Versace sneakers or an insane pair of Dior jeans. © Instagram/diljitdosanjh Clearly, the Do You Know hitmaker has an expensive taste and does not shy away from getting his hands on the latest stuff from high-end luxury brands. © Instagram/diljitdosanjh That being said, each of the pieces that he owns and flaunts on Instagram has a rather unique flair to it. Recently, he stepped out with a bag that, apart from having a really cool and hipster-like appeal, caught our attention because of its price tag. © Instagram/diljitdosanjh But first, let's get to his outfit. Diljit is wearing a rather cool and hip floral print sweatshirt and a black pair of adidas training sweats. With this, he has also paired one of the chunkiest pairs of white sneakers that we have seen this year from Nike. All in all, the outfit has a very dapper and hip-hop vibe to it, which sits really well with Diljit's image and the kind of groovy music that we get to hear from him regularly. © Instagram/diljitdosanjh However, the statement piece of the ensemble is not the rather kitschy sweatshirt of the sneakers. It has to be the backpack that he is carrying. © Instagram/diljitdosanjh Diljit is seen here with the Louis Vuitton Christopher Backpack. The backpack is really where things start getting interesting for us. © Instagram/diljitdosanjh Not only does the bag has a very Top Gun-esque aesthetic to it, with all its patches and straps and what not; it also has a vibe that just shouts wanderlust on Instagram. The bag, surprisingly, is not made using exotic materials, as opposed to what has become the norm. You won't find large chunks of specially treated leather or anything like that. Instead, you get a backpack that is mostly made of graphite canvas, and straps and trims made from bovine leather. © Instagram/diljitdosanjh The price of all this Louis Vuitton goodness? Well, it's a lot. The bag retails for about $2,800 or Rs. 2,01,000. That's assuming if you get your hands on the piece. Also, don't forget the custom duties and import taxes that will be levied on this. That should put the final sticker price around a ballpark of Rs. 2.5 lakh. © Instagram/diljitdosanjh For that much money, you can go on a 14-day trip to Hungary and still save money. And no, we are not considering a cheap backpack trip across Hungary. Browse wisely and play your cards right, and you can actually find a decent 3-star hotel to stay at. © Instagram/diljitdosanjh That's one heck of a way to roll. Really impressive Diljit. 20. The PlayStation 5 is expected to launch next year during the holiday season and some previous reports have said that it won't come cheap. We can expect the console to be a bit more expensive than the previous generation's launch price. Last month, we reported that the PlayStation 5 could cost Rs 55,000 in India. It was based on a price leak by a European retailer and with 28.5% duty the Indian custom charges for game console imports. © Twitter/LetsGoDigital Regardless, multiple reports have suggested that it will be pricier than the PS4 Pro and PS4. Having said that, Sony sort of addressed this issue during a recent investors' call and it may be good news for people who are looking forward to the PS5. According to T3, Sony's CFO Hiroki Totoki said in the investors' call that the company is “analyzing the cost, the acceptable price in the market, and platform penetration,” while being “very conscious of the level of profit for investors and for the marketplace.” The quote might seem like the usual business jargon, but it also suggests that Sony is not going to gamble the future of the PS5 with an unaffordable price. An affordable price is going to be crucial for the successful launch of the PS5 as it will make it easier for PS4 owners to transition to the new console. Another leak has suggested that the PS5 will launch in early December 2020 as customers are more likely to upgrade in the holiday season. An attractive price is going to make it easier for the company to penetrate the market with existing and new customers. © Unsplash Even though this report may suggest that the PlayStation 5 will be cheaper than what earlier reports have suggested, it is still going to be a bit more expensive in India. As before, the Indian government will levy a 28.5% import duty tax on the base price of the console. No matter what the price will be, the PlayStation 5 will probably cost considerably more in India. As of now, it is not clear what the pricing of the PlayStation 5 will be, so we suggest you take every leak with a grain of salt for now. In the case of Xbox Scarlett, we can expect similar pricing as well due to the fierce rivalry and competition between Sony and Microsoft. For now, early reports suggest the PS5 will be revealed by the company at an event in February and we're hoping to get more information about the upcoming console at that time. View the full article

  22. Ever since Google first announced its AR glass as an 'experimental' product, there's been a lot of hype surrounding it. But Google Glass didn't quite catch up with the public due to some obvious reasons. Well, after a few iterations, Google has now released the third-gen Google Glass with a slightly new design and improved internals. Yes, a new version of Google Glass is out now, and here's everything you need to know about it - © YouTube The new version of Google Glass is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon XR1, which is a chip that's specifically designed for AR and VR. These new pair of glasses also have a USB-C port for faster charging. The new glasses now run on Android and comes with support for Android Enterprise Mobile Device Management. As you can see, the new Google Glasses also look a little different, thanks to the new frames. Additionally, it also comes with a better camera, because why not? However, all the advancements come at a price and this one costs $999. It's still less than the original one which Google had originally shipped out, but honestly, as an average consumer, it doesn't really matter. Why? Well, that's because it's not meant to be a widespread consumer product. Google is calling it the 'Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2', and selling it only to business users. That being said, we really hope Google makes a version for consumers too. Like, seriously. We already have a ton of VR and AR headsets and eyewear out there in the market, with a few more slated to arrive soon. In fact, Microsoft's HoloLens 2 and Vuzix' glasses are really popular. Google's current customers and partners include AGCO, DHL Group, HB Fuller, and Sutter Health. So, a lot of people are actively using this product, and so we think it's high time we get a consumer version of this product.
  23. Our teachers and parents often told us that one shouldn't be afraid of making mistakes. After all that's how we learn in life, right? But, what if that mistake is an expensive one...Rs. 4 lakh (approx) to be precise? In a bizarre turn of events, Hawksmoor Manchester, a restaurant in UK served a group of three businessmen their most expensive bottle. And the best part is, they didn't even ask for it. They had called for a bottle worth £260 (Rs. 23,200 approx), but instead were 'accidentally' served wine that costs £4,500 (Rs. 4 lakh approx). © Pexels Seriously, who would order such an expensive bottle of wine? Well, in this case, literally no one. Honestly, if I was served wine that expensive, I would either pour it in a bottle and sell it to a museum or savour every drop so carefully, as if my life depends on it. According to reports, the blokes who drank that expensive wine didn't even notice and are probably still unaware about the goof-up. Or maybe they know now. It was the trainee manager's mistake, who got confused between the two bottles as they "looked pretty similar". The staff realised the mistake when the customers called for a second bottle, but didn't publicly admit the mistake. © Twitter For all the wine connoisseurs out there, what the diners called for was a 2001 bottle of Chateau Pichon Longueville Contesse de Lalande - price £260. What they got was a 2001 bottle of Château Le Pin, Pomerol, - price £4,500. Next time, you go to UK be sure about your drink. Here are the two bottles. THEY LOOK PRETTY SIMILAR OK?! ð pic.twitter.com/JWFW81cbe8 — Hawksmoor Manchester (@HawksmoorMCR) May 16, 2019 The restaurant, however, accepted their mistake in the best way possible and are now being praised on social media for their stand. They wrote, "To the customer who accidentally got given a bottle of Chateau le Pin Pomerol 2001, which is £4500 on our menu, last night - hope you enjoyed your evening! To the member of staff who accidentally gave it away, chin up! One-off mistakes happen and we love you anyway." In order to avoid an awkward situation, the staff member "gently steered the customers toward another bottle of wine and kept quiet." The restaurant staff was really sweet and charged the men a bill of over £400 (Rs. 35,700 approx). It was only after the shift was over that the trainee manager was told that she had served the restaurant's most expensive wine. But, the way the restaurant reacted to the entire incident is commendable. We hope we had such great bosses at work. And for the chaps who drank that wine, you guys are the luckiest diners ever. 24. Apple's iPhones, as we all know, are some of the most expensive smartphones you can buy. Even the 'affordable' iPhone i.e. the iPhone XR costs over Rs. 60,000 in India after all the discounts. Do you think that's expensive? Well, think again, because the new iPhones that are launching later this year are going to be even more expensive. That's right! If you're waiting to buy the new iPhones, presumably the iPhone XI, then you might want to start saving some money because they're about to get a little pricier, and you can thank the ongoing trade war between the US and China for that. More like thank Trump for that. US President Donald Trump decided to piss off China by hiking tariffs on products manufactured there. Well, we don't blame him because his idea was to force US companies to relocate manufacturing back home to enforce employment, among other benefits. While that didn't happen as per the plan, it has caused Apple's iPhone production costs to rise. And obviously, to recoup profits, Apple would need to increase the iPhone price by a similar amount. And since there are no direct supply chain units from Apple's manufacturing plants in China to India, they have to go through the US for processing, which means Apple will have to pay the tariffs. © YouTube It's expected that Apple will choose to absorb the costs, at least for the time being, but we doubt if they'll do it for long. Apple will eventually have to slap a higher price tag on their already expensive iPhones. This, however, can be avoided if Apple starts manufacturing its flagship iPhones, in addition to the cheaper models, in India too. Well, let's just hope for the best. Source: Business Standard
