  2. Disclaimer: This article does not constitute medical advice. Please see your licensed medical physician for information about how best to manage your cholesterol in your individual case. Like it or not, higher cholesterol levels is a problem that is on a rapid rise since last few decades. Once thought of as a problem for the older generation, it's quickly making its way into the younger generation. What's astonishing is the fact that guys in their 20s are reporting problems with cholesterol. This problem is especially very common among people from the subcontinent due to: 1. Sedentary lifestyle 2. Very poor eating habits 3. Increased junk food consumption 4. Obesity Before we get into how you can get your cholesterol levels in control, let's take a look cholesterol first. What Is Cholesterol? © Thinkstock Cholesterol is a wax type substance found in the cells of your body. It is needed to make certain hormones and substances that help you digest food along with Vitamin D. Contrary to popular opinion, in healthy individuals, the body produces the all the cholesterol that you need and the production is regulated according to the dietary cholesterol intake. If you eat more cholesterol, your body produces less and vice versa, to maintain the levels needed. Cholesterol is needed for the body to function but too high levels of cholesterol can make fatty deposits accumulate in blood vessels. This will make the blood vessels narrower which leads to various ailments like heart attacks, coronary artery disease, strokes, or other vascular diseases. This is cholesterol in a nutshell. Now, you might have heard people talking about something called good and bad cholesterol. Let's understand them. Types of Cholesterol LDL(low-density lipoprotein) Cholesterol LDL is considered to be bad because it can accumulate on the walls of your arteries and increasing the chances of your getting heart diseases. The lower your LDL cholesterol is, the lower the risk. Ranges of around 190 or more are considered dangerous and you would have to be on medication and make lifestyle changes if you are around those numbers. HDL(High-density lipoprotein) Cholesterol When it comes to HDL the higher the numbers, the lower is the risk of heart diseases. HDL is considered as good cholesterol because it carries cholesterol from your blood back to your liver. This means that it keeps the bad cholesterol from building up in your arteries by taking it out of the blood and shuttling it back to your liver. Healthy Ranges © YouTube Total blood cholesterol is checked by looking at your LDL, HDL and other components when determining the risk for heart diseases. The amount of each type of cholesterol in your blood is a better predictor than the total amount of cholesterol in your blood. The ratio is LDL to HDL is very crucial in determining whether your cholesterol numbers are in healthy ranges or not. Increased numbers of LDL cholesterol indicate more risk for blocked arteries and health problems as opposed to HDL which lowers your risk of cardiovascular diseases among other ailments. HDL cholesterol also may have a protective effect on the blood vessels. When you get your cholesterol checked, either of the following happens: 1. Normal ranges of HDL and LDL 2. Higher LDL and normal HDL 3. Higher LDL and lower HDL Number two and three is not what your lipid profile should look like i.e they are not desirable. Causes Of High Cholesterol Unhealthy Eating Habits With socio-economic developments and comfort foods being available at the click of a button, unnecessary overeating and obesity are on the rise at an epidemic rate. Foods which contribute the most to a high cholesterol problem are saturated fats and trans fats which are most commonly found in are found in confectionary, processed refined and deep-fried fast foods. Sedentary Lifestyle With technological advancements, manual work has been less and less since the last few decades and has made the life of an average individual sedentary from active. Being sedentary all day along with unhealthy eating habits gives rise to a lot of health problems, high cholesterol resulting in cardiovascular diseases being the primary one. Apart from the above-mentioned reasons smoking, alcoholism, genetics and certain medical conditions can also contribute to high cholesterol How To Keep Cholesterol In Check If you are suffering from high cholesterol problems, there is a high probability that you are out of shape and do not pay much attention to fitness in life. The good news here is that you only have to do what you would do to get fit in order to get your cholesterol levels in check. That is: Nutrition: 1. Cut out processed and deep fried junk food from your diet. 2. Use monounsaturated fats (MUFA) for cooking. For example olive oil, rapeseed oil etc. 3. Eat in a caloric deficit to lose fat which automatically will reduce your cholesterol levels. 4. Take 2-3 grams of omega 3 fish oil supplements per day. 5. Eat more protein. Training: 1. Start being more active throughout the day like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, taking a walk every day etc. 2. Pick up a sport or an activity that you like and will make sure that you stick to it to keep active. 3. Do weight training for at least 3 days a week so that you do not lose muscle when you lose weight. The most important thing to do along with what's mentioned above is to make positive changes to your lifestyle. If you start being active and pay more attention to your nutrition only with the goal of improving your cholesterol, it will leave you directionless once you achieve that number. So, make sustainable changes to get fit that you can stick to forever and enjoy a superior quality of life as being fit is improving the quality of your life. 3. Aamir Khan's annual mega release, 'Thugs of Hindostan' just hit the screens today and Twitterati has already gone into a frenzy penning their thoughts about the movie. The plot of the fantasy-drama is said to revolve around a band of thugs with Amitabh Bachchan as their leader, who decides to challenge the British Raj and claim freedom for India. The movie also stars Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in supporting roles. With the first show lined up as early as 9 in the morning today, Tweet-scape is brimming with honest reviews from movie-goers. © Yash Raj Films As per the reviews so far, the much-anticipated film seems to be receiving a mixed bag of reactions, with many claiming that Aamir's acting in the movie as the bad guy comes across as forced, while the first half is also being claimed to be a bit too slow for people's liking. However, the virtual critics have some good things to say for Sr. Bachchan and the use of VFX in the movie. On the other hand, the director of the movie is receiving a LOT of backlash online. Here are some honest (and funny) Twitter reviews we picked up for you to read through before booking your own tickets for the movie: This is worst movie of the aamir khan till now. 5. With Diwali around the corner, almost everyone is busy buying gifts for their near and dear ones. After all, we all want to surprise them and bring a smile on their faces, right? So, what better way can there be than online shopping to buy the gifts? It's quick, hassle-free and delivers the products at your doorstep. Viraj Nair too wanted to buy a smartphone for his house help and he even bought one online on Amazon. Turns out Viraj was one of those 'lucky' customers, who didn't get ONE smartphone but TWO...bars of soaps. And, not just any soap, he got two bars of 'Ghadi' detergent. After all, 'time' is the most precious gift, so getting 'ghadi' makes all the sense in the world. Looks like the makers of Ghadi's tagline, 'Pehle Istemal Kare Fir Vishwas Kare', knew that the detergent bar will one day fall in Viraj's hands and this line will hit him harder than irony. Facebook/ Viraj Nair In an exclusive conversation with MensXP, Viraj said, "The phone, ordered on Sunday, October 28, was supposed to be delivered by Tuesday, October 30. On the day of the scheduled delivery, I recieved a message from Amazon that the courier guy couldn't reach me so the delivery would be attempted the next day." Viraj, who felt something strange about the delivery guy, said "On Wednesday, October 31, I got a call from a guy asking whether the package has been delivered and I told him I hadn't received it. At 6:30 PM he finally came to my building, entering the wrong address in the register, to deliver the package. He refused to hand over the package before I gave him the OTP. When I opened it, the Honor 8x box was unsealed. To my horror, instead of a smartphone, the box contained two bars of Ghadi soap." Screenshot Viraj immediately contacted Amazon's customer care and they "apologized profusely and said I'd receive a replacement by Nov. 2. No explanation was offered for the Ghadi soap switcheroo, though they promised to 'investigate' the matter." Viraj, who ordered an Honor 8x, left a replacement request on the website as well. Amazon apologized to Viraj and he finally got a box delivered today, which carried a new phone and not a detergent. Even after all this, it wasn't easy for him to get the phone. He said the new delivery guy was asking for the phone back and didn't agree on giving him the replacement phone. "The delivery guy finally left after negotiations with Amazon customer care." Viraj has now ordered One Plus 6T from Amazon and we hope he doesn't get more bars of 'Ghadi' detergent this time. Viraj is not the first guy to receive soap bars instead of a smartphone. Earlier too people have reportedly recieved stones and soaps instead of what they ordered online.
  6. Everyone has, at some point, envied the thick and abundant mop of hair on someone else's head. While getting that naturally is quite the blessing, most people aren't that lucky. So, we are here to let you in on a few hacks that'll let your hair look like it is thick and plentiful. Some of these are pretty simple, and super easy, while some require a little bit effort. Also, remember that these hacks can only make it look like your hair is thicker and more. Actually fixing thinning hair requires more than basic hacks. Let's get started with these hacks for thick hair: 1. Use Body-Boosting Hair Products © Official Instagram/ Ranveer Singh To give your hair volume, an obvious answer is to use volume boosting products. You can use shampoos that work on increasing the body and the volume of your hair. Pair it with a conditioner that is also geared towards doing the same. These products can't stop hair fall or thicken your hair. They just add more body to the hair. 2 Be BFFs With The Blow Dryer © Flickr You can add more body and volume to your hair, thus making it look more full, by blow drying it. Brush the stands outwards from your face, to give the illusion of more volume. Lift up the base as much as you can while doing this. Hold up the roots, to give some extra body to the hair while blow drying. Don't smoothen the roots, just smoothen out the ends. Be careful while styling that you don't flatten the roots. Use a good hair serum to keep the softness, and protect your hair from the heat. You should also keep some heat-protecting products around, if you blow dry your hair often. 3 Get Yourself Some Hair Mousse © Official Instagram/ Shahid Kapoor Before your blowout, take a coin-sized amount of mousse and work it in your hair. Use more if needed, according to your hair length and type. The mousse helps your hair retain the volume created by the blow dryer. It also lets you have more control with your hair, than using just a serum would. Avoid using it at the roots though, and focus more on the mid-length and the ends. 4 Pick Up A Dry Shampoo © Official Instagram/ Vidyut Jamwal Yes, the purpose of dry shampoo is slightly different than what we are recommending it for here. The consistency of dry shampoos makes a great way to add volume to your hair. The powder form is meant to get rid of the greasiness of your hair, without having to use water. But it also settles on the hair strands, and creates a bit of an extra layer on it, thanks to the powder. You can also use it on the roots safely, so this is a super easy way to add some quick volume to your hair. The best way to do it is getting through coverage, so tip your head over, spray over the strands properly, from roots to ends, holding the bottle a few inches away. Afterwards, just brush out your hair or finger comb it. The dry shampoo takes care of the greasiness, getting rid of the flatness. And the lightweight powder shampoo gives you fullness. 5 Cover Up The Gaps © Official Instagram/ Ranveer Singh This one is the most innovative, perhaps even the most ambitious hack. Thin hair means that often there are gaps in the hair roots. So a quick-fix is to cover those gaps up. How do we do it? That's where it gets innovative. You can use anything that matches your hair colour and is safe to use on skin. We are thinking quickly dusting off some of your girlfriend's black or brown eyeshadows should do the trick. There are a few easy root touch-up products as well on the market these days, like this one from L'Oreal: L'Oreal Paris Magic Retouch © Amazon MRP: Rs 298 Buy it here
  7. Winter is almost here, and for a lot of men, that can mean the time for dry and itchy skin. Winter needs special care, be it for your body or for your skin, as this season dries out our skin, and dehydrates it. Although most men tend to have combination to oily skin, that doesn't mean you should wash your hands off skincare, come winter. Make sure you take good care of your skin come winter season, with these essentials winter-care products. Here is what you have to do, to get ready for winter, and the products you need for it: . A Nourishing Moisturiser © Unsplash Having a good moisturiser is super important, and it becomes even more so, when it is winter. For those who have dry or normal skin, it is essential that you use not only a nourishing moisturiser for your face, but also a body lotion. If you have combination to oily skin, then winters are probably quite easy for you, as there is no excessive dryness. But you should still use a mild moisturiser or lotion, at least on your body. For taking care of your face, head to the next point. Pro tip: The skin under your beard tends to be dry, especially during winter. So if you are prone to getting dry patches, get yourself a beard oil as well. . A Non-Drying Face Wash © Pexels As important as a moisturiser is, it is also important to not dry out your face through the other products that you use. Men's products are generally geared to combat extreme oil control, but that can prove to be a problem during winter time. So, put away your drying face wash, and use a lighter, milder face wash during winters. If you have dry skin, switching to a non-drying face wash during winter is a must. . A Face Serum © Instagram/Vicky Kaushal As the next step for your skin care, and this one more particularly for your face, you need to add a serum to your winter care routine. For people with dry skin, use this after washing your face, and before your moisturiser. For oily-skinned people, this can be a great replacement for moisturisers. If you feel like a cream or lotion is too much, even in winters, then simply use a good face serum to keep your face moisturised. Another option is to keep using a gel-based moisturiser if you want something that is in between a serum and a cream based moisturiser. . A Night Cream Or Lotion © Pexels Our skin repairs itself when we sleep, which is why a night care routine is actually really helpful to anyone. Night time is also when our skin sleeps, and its absorption capacities increase. So, whatever you apply to your skin or your face, gets absorbed more and makes for more intense results. So during winters, if you have dry skin, using a night cream, even a basic one, will help combat the dryness very effectively. . A Lip Balm © Instagram/Alia Bhatt Among all the nourishing and hydrating that is done, men often forget that their lips are the obvious weak point. They dry up faster, chap more easily, and are the most easily noticeable and visible to other people. You may be the toughest guy on the block, but chapped and flaky lips are never going to be your friend. So at least during winter, always carry a lip balm, and use as required. And always put it on before heading to bed. . Finally, Don't Forget The Sunscreen © Unsplash Yes, the winter sun feels all warm, soft, and perfect to take photos in, but that doesn't mean it magically becomes good for your skin. We all tend to spend more time outdoors in the day enjoying the winter days, but when you do step out, remember to use a sunscreen to protect your skin from the UVB and the UVA.
  8. Will Smith - for every millennial who has been into Hollywood movies (or not), the name evokes the face of this ever-smiling personality who is known for his flamboyant gestures and witty remarks, as much as for his acting skills. However, there's something more that stands out about this goofball of a man, and that is his wisdom, and his way with words. Will Smith is known to have delivered some of Hollywood's most remarkable dialogues, but even off the screen, his pearls of wisdom have continued to inspire and motivate people to be a better version of themselves. The following quotes by Will Smith will not only inspire a man in his 20s, but shall also lend a life-changing perspective to things and situations you're living through. Read on to behold the gems: © MensXP Dream, dream, and dream. That's the basic gist of what he is trying to say here. We must not give in to the temptation of abandoning our dreams to keep up with reality, and thereby leading a mediocre life. © MensXP Life is the best teacher, and Smith totally agrees. All the big, life-altering lessons are learnt outside the four walls of the classroom. Experiences and interactions continue to add value to our lives till the very end. © MensXP 20s can often be pretty challenging in a lot of ways. From college to jobs and relationships, we end up undertaking and welcoming a lot of new things into our lives. But Smith reminds us of the importance of valuing ourselves before we begin to chase after people in the hopes of a “shared dream”. © MensXP Our twenties also turn out to be the time when the most number of interactions and associations take place in our lives. However, Smith believes that we must save ourselves from the impending disappointment when we place excessive confidence and faith in the wrong people. © MensXP One's 20s are kind of always brimming with uncertainties and doubts, because of the ever-changing and evolving state of our life during the time. However, we mustn't betray ourselves and instead be our own cheerleaders. We must come to believe we have it in us to do it. © MensXP The concept of love remains to be pretty twisted throughout this time, due to heartbreaks and adulting. But Smith makes sense when he says women aren't the only ones who deserve our love. We have to love our dreams and aspirations, our achievements as well as our failures to be able to shine. © MensXP Having a facade in your 20s is apparently a thing these days, but obviously, it's an absolute waste of time. In trying to keep up with it, we're losing ourselves to the hypocrites. © MensXP Focus and perseverance are the two qualities Smith swears by. He is a firm believer that hard work and grit are the biggest tools of success, which only comes to pass if we believe in our dreams and desires. © MensXP Another one where we can surely learn from the man himself. His antics and confidence are a total hit with women, who simply drool over the confidence and oomph the man exudes. We must chant this mantra whenever in doubt. © MensXP Smith has been known for his struggles and how he rose from the ashes after. Smith has inspired millions of people, yet what they hold most dear is his determination to carve his own destiny and live his life on his own terms. That's exactly how our thought-process in the 20s should be like. Don't you agree already that the man deserves an Oscar for his contributions that go beyond the realm of his marvellous acting on-screen?
  9. You saw them across the hall. You instantly fell for them. And you started making up perfect scenarios in which both of you are for each other. You start hearing a heavenly choir in the background or even wedding bells; whatever floats your boat! Oh! Crushes are such beautiful things! They crush your soul but end up making you believe in love. Such a paradox! Though not all of us are fortunate enough to have our crush like us back, there is no hindrance in charting out your life plan with the person you have a crush on. I mean, who can tell what goes on in that nasty little brain of ours? When you are sure that there is no chance in eternity that the person you have a crush on will reciprocate to your feelings, you can just be happy with the mental image of you two cloistered together in front of the TV or sitting on a park bench, holding hands! No one is stopping you and the great thing is no one can. That being said, anything more than enough CAN certainly harm you. So, tread cautiously, my friend, because having a crush is like jumping into a vortex; you never know when and where you are going! :D Be it the cryptic message they sent you which makes you go bonkers, trying to decipher it. Or the way they push aside that unruly, wayward strand of hair aside from their face, which makes you simper like a fool. Or while stalking their Instagram and FB profiles, and getting disheartened when you see them with someone attractive and driving yourself crazy obsessing about who they are. Or embarrassing yourself in your attempt to be cool in front of them? Ah! That feeling of being of being boiled alive in hot oil but liking it nonetheless. Nothing can compare to that! And does it hurt? Having a crush? Especially if they say: We have all been there sometime in our lives. So, we delved a little deeper into our brains and, hi-de-hi, here's what we found in the recesses. A guy's mind is a cornucopia of thoughts and no, it is not always about *** and sports. Even we have intelligent thoughts (occasionally :P)! And we can be extremely sappy and romantic as well! We might not be that vocal with our feelings or won't express them in front of you, but the inner turmoil we face is pure agony. Though, we do send our crushes subtle signs. So, here's a slightly abridged version of the many thoughts that cross a guy's mind when he has a crush on someone: 1. Oh my God! Beautiful! How can God have created something so perfect? 2. Should I go over there? Should I wave? Oh no! What am I going to say? 3. Hi! I just wanted to tell you that you are the most beautiful thing I have set my eyes on. 4.Yeah, right! Sounds like something a stalker guy would say. Nope. Need to think of something else. 5. Why can't you remember a pickup line when you need it the most? Stupid brain. 6. Oh…freaking-out alert initializing! Coming in this direction. What should I do? 7. Play it cool, dude! Oh, good... stopped to talk to someone. Wow. Look at that perfect smile. 8. I wonder whether she has even seen me. Who is that douchebag she's talking to? 9. Hey smarty-pants! She's mine. Go get a crush of your own. 10. Okay…walking towards me! God. What is this feeling? Why do I have so many butterflies, nay, moths buzzing around in my stomach? 11. Am I going to throw up? Was it the cornflakes I had this morning? Note to self: No liquid-based foods before seeing her. 12. I am so dizzy! How do I look? Why do I hear music and violins? She is here! 13. “Hiya!” Seriously! Where did that come from? So much for your articulate greeting. 14. Her voice sounds so melodious...like melting honey! I could listen to her talk all day… 15. Oh, say anything you moron, she asked you something. What's with the nervousness? Be cool, man! She doesn't need to know. 16. Should I use an advanced vocabulary? Will she think of me as haughty if I do so? 17. I better be like Mr. Darcy. He seems to be what girls dig. Mysterious and forlorn. 18. Who am I kidding? I could never match up to him. I know, compliment her! 19. I should say something extremely funny. Show her your humour! 20. Come on, Chandler Bing Junior! Say something funny. 21. I wonder what she thinks of me? Why is she smiling? Did I say something stupid? How sweet is her laugh! Like the melody of a string quartet. And she is so graceful, even when she is fixing her hair! 22. Make eye contact: That's the key. No, don't stare, you fool! What do want her to think of you, the creepy guy she knows? 23. Yeah...glancing every now and then works! Don't flutter your eyes like a maniac! 24. Does my breath smell okay? *surreptitiously smells his own breath* Hmm...can do better. Gotta buy some mouthwash. 25. Look at smarty-pants over there bristling with jealousy! Maybe I should poke her in a friendly way and make him more jealous! 26. Wow...her hand is so soft! Could she BE any more heavenly! 27. She punched me back playfully! Wow…is she into me? I wish I could tell! 28. Oh, such ripples in my stomach! 29. Should I ask her out? What if she thinks I'm too forward? 30. Too forward? Take a chance sometimes! 31. Oh...she says she has some work. Am I boring her? Why is she going? Please stay! I want you to stay forever… 32. Is a hug too much? Should I hug her? Would that be weird? No, I better extend my hand. Wouldn't want her to think of me as a pompous ass! 33. Oh, great...she is coming in for a hug herself! Oh, why do you do this to me, you enchantress!! 34. Wow! She smells like chocolate! Hmmm…I wish we could just sit here and talk till eternity! 35. Damn you, time. Why do you always have to be so cruel? 36. Okay! Bye, adieu! Queen of my heart! Why is goodbye always so painful? 37. Stop being dramatic! Oh, to have crushed and lost...what a pitiful state. 38. We would certainly make a great couple. If only I had the courage. 39. Just imagine how our kids would be like! Beautiful and witty like her and smart like me, but possibly bad at talking to their crush as well! 40. Oh, that charming smile! She is so wondrous… 41. I wish I could just ask her out! Well…maybe next time… Okay… Back to daydreaming!
  10. Ever thought of having so much fun in your life that you forget what it's like to be sad and forlorn? Yes, that's exactly how you feel when you date a 'Punjabi' girl. Big heart with a bigger appetite, Punjabi girls are fun to date, even when you're not in a space to date anyone. She'll uplift your spirits and make you feel warm and full of love. What else do you really need in life, eh? Here's what's in store for you if you date a fun-loving Punjabi girl (1) If You're A Foodie You're Gonna Love Her Punjabi's love their food. Period. Well, most of it is stereotyped, when people say they love Butter Chicken or any form of chicken, but they enjoy all and every sort of food. Basically, they live to eat! So, if you're ever out on a date with her, let her decide the food joint because she definitely knows her food! And if you know your food too, then it's so much better! (2) She's Definitely A Fighter One thing you should keep in mind while dating a Punjabi girl is that she will never call it quits, especially if she's standing up for something she knows or thinks is right! She's a born fighter and will fight through anything. Nothing really seems to intimidate her and she doesn't care much any judgments passed at her. (3) She's Full Of Life If you ever go out dancing with her or just out anywhere, you'll see how much fun she can be! Dancing to loud boisterous music is her forte and laughing out loud to almost everything is in her nature. Never a dull day with her for sure. (4) If You Ever Meet Her Family You'll Fall In Love With Them Punjabi families are usually open-minded and love having fun together. So, if you're ever invited over to their house, they make sure you're done with the pleasantries and formalities. They usually treat you like their own and include you in any sort of fun they're having. So, if she invites you over for a drink with her family, don't turn down the offer! (5) She Can Outrun You In A Drinking Competition Yup, she got it from her genes, for sure. Punjabi's love drinking and they surely know their Whiskey. So, if you're out drinking with her, don't be shell-shocked at the amount she guzzles and still has the capacity for more. (6) She's Very Straightforward With Her Thoughts Nope, she's not the kind to beat around the bush or mollycoddle her thoughts before saying them out loud. She says it as it is and doesn't really care much for the consequences. Which could be a bad thing too, but more often than not, it's an endearing quality. If something doesn't look good on you, she'll say it loud. If she doesn't like a restaurant you've taken her too, she'll say it out loud. If you're a big dull dud and she wants to break up with you, she'll say it out loud! (7) She Will Never Compromise On Family Values Even though she's full of life, fun-loving and big on alcohol, she doesn't forget her family values and never compromises on them. She'll have a lot of respect for her family and never let her family honour down, no matter what she does or who she's with. (8) She Has Ample Self Respect If you're dating a Punjabi girl, you should know she comes with a boatload of self-respect. Which doesn't mean she's full of herself, it just means that nothing can pull her self-respect down. If someone breaks her heart, she moves on and grieves without letting people know she's hurting. There is no breaking her morale or her self-esteem, ever. (9) Every Moment With Her Is Unpredictable Yup, that's what she is. A bag of unpredictability. In a good way though. Imagine going out on a date with her and ending up in the hills or in a pool! What started off as a quiet, sombre evening is now a bundle of unpredictability. That's what it's like to date a Punjabi girl. You never know what life has in store for you, once you're with her. (10) She Has A Mighty Big Heart Yup, as garish and flamboyant Punjabi's may be, they do have big and welcoming hearts and if she's a true blue Punjabi kudi, she's got one too. She'll spend lavishly but live wisely and will always look out for the one she truly loves. She'll even look out for unfortunate souls around her and help them as much as she can. She's just not blessed with looks and a carefree personality, she has a loving heart too. So, if you ever date a Punjabi girl or have dated one, you'll have the time of your life with her. Just don't rub her the wrong way (pun unintended) because nothing will be worse than facing her wrath!
  11. The classic era of bodybuilding is coming back. Broad shoulders, narrow waists, razor-sharp abs, and impressive shoulder-to-waist ratios are making a noise again. The golden era of bodybuilding, popularized or made mainstream by Arnold Schwarzenegger back in the day has arrived again. It is pretty much similar to any other industry in the world. There are trends which come and go and the bodybuilding fans are jumping with happiness that the golden era is coming back to life. Another thing about modern-day bodybuilding is that it has become all the more competitive. The introduction of the physique category has pulled in more general audiences' interest that the mass monsters era took away. Enter Chris Bumstead © YouTube Last year, a guy came out of nowhere and made waves in the industry. That guy was Chris Bumstead, a 23-year old Canadian, who made his first professional Olympia appearance at the very young age of 22 years and took 2nd place in the Classic Physique category. Saying That He Shocked The Bodybuilding World Would Be An Understatement © YouTube He won the classic physique division of the Pittsburgh Pro last year and a few months later made his Olympia debut. Neither did he look like a debutant and nor did he look like an inexperienced contender even at such a young age. He came on the stage, dominated and almost won the division. He was placed second by a meager margin of 3 points. His appearance made it clear that he's the future of classic bodybuilding in the coming future. Bumstead, better known as CBum on Instagram, hardly looked like a newbie when he dominated the stage with his polished posing skills including a vacuum pose that even Frank Zane would have been proud of. You can check it out here: His Vacuum Pose © YouTube The vacuum pose brought back memories of the golden era and shows a lot of promise for the new classic division which is just two years old now. And Bumstead, though young, is a perfect example of a bodybuilder who says that success comes down to hard work and being consistent at the end of the year. At the 2018, Bumstead once again cut through the crowd and grabbed second spot in his division. Though it was a letdown for a lot of his fans, this win again makes it very clear that Bumstead will be a force to be reckoned with. 12. If you are reading this, it means a long-distance relationship must be the reality of your life, or somebody close to you, for you to be reading this instead of them. However, if you are in it, you know that maintaining long-distance relationships aren't the easiest of things to be undertaken. Unlike most relationships where both the partners stay in the same city, your relationship demands double the efforts and care for it to stay strong, move beyond the insecurities and bloom into a healthy, loving companionship. © Rose Movies Also, a long-distance relationship is no guarantee that fights and misunderstandings shall lessen, instead they seem to crop up ever so often, over minute issues and sometimes over genuine concerns on either of your part. Fights are a part of relationships that help us understand each other and our needs/expectations better, which only adds to the growth of our relationship. But we totally know this isn't something you look forward to especially in a long-distance relationship. So, we bring you these 5 easy steps that can help you make up with your girlfriend every single time: Step 1: Calm Those Nerves © Kunal Kohli Production If you feel this is absurd, you are wrong. We understand that a lot of times you are not at fault and don't want to say sorry either, but long-distance requires more compromising and if she's not up to it, it's best that you drop your side of the fight and take the first step. Also, anger can lead to drastic decision-making such as giving it off to your partner in a fit of anger and you DON'T wanna do that. Instead, calm down and reconsider what you seek from this relationship and then choose the stance (loving or yelling) you wanna take to see this fight through. PS. If you choose to yell at her despite the moments of silent considerations, you need to rethink this relationship. Step 2: Resist The Temptation To Hurt Her Back © Yash Raj Films It is only possible for things to turn ugly during a fight. Often the phone-call fights cease and WhatsApp fights ensue. The change in medium of communication also adds to misunderstandings, because you can't always make out the tone your partner is taking. But even during such moments, avoid the urge to give her a taste of her own words. Things we say during fights can do lasting damage and the aim to win these fights is only going to pull you apart. Prioritize your love during such moments. Step 3: Power Up On Warmth © UTV Motion Pictures No matter how pissed your girlfriend is or how irrational she seems, take responsibility for your own behaviour and reach out to her. You have calmed your nerves, now listen to her concerns and try to reach an understanding together. As you do that, ensure that the warmth is getting communicated through your conversation. Girls like to know you're making an effort to make things better and reach a mutual solution that would work in both of your favours. Such small acts of affection will calm her down as well, as it won't seem like you're relinquishing your autonomy either. Step 4: Empathy Is Key © Yash Raj Films Next in line, once you have reached an understanding as to why she is upset, try to empathise with her. If she feels a certain way and you simply wish to brush it off or want her to shove it under the carpet, it isn't going to work out. This unilateral disarmament method doesn't imply you're giving in to her manipulations, but rather suggest that you value your relationship more than a certain point of view that seems to be meddling with your heads. So try to consider her point of view and move forward with it. Step 5: Talk © Dharma Productions Once both of you have calmed down and you understand where she is coming from, begin to communicate your own concerns because, by this point, she'd be more than willing to hear you out. Be honest and tell her how this entire issue is making you feel and why (or if) you feel the fight was uncalled for. Even if you're still angry within, don't hide it. Let her know about that and wait for her to acknowledge it and respond. Trust us, she will understand and the talk will eventually nullify the anger. Try these and you'll see that these work like a charm to resolve your fight.
  13. Love is a rare thing to find. Some find it in people, and some, in words! It's amazing how some words catch our attention and make us fall in love with them. If you want to express something in the best possible way, write a poem on it. In this digital generation, where love starts with swiping right and ends with unmatching, poetry is still the best way to express your love, or hate, as a matter of fact. Most people have a misconception about poetry. Poetry is not limited to just rhymes and long stanzas. Poetry is writing anything heart touching, irrespective of rhyme and length. The world is full of such poets and so is Instagram. Following are the 5 accounts which you should be following to read soothing lines: 1. @the_poetrybandit “We are in this together. View this post on Instagram People often ask me how I've been able to string 3 years of sobriety together. I often say you take it one step at a time. Sometimes a step is an hour, sometimes the step is getting over someone. That step could be a feeling, negative self talk, depression, anxiety, guilt, tragedy, and FEELINGS! Oh man. The feelings I felt when I stopped drinking were unbelievable. I can't count the number of AT&T commercials I cried over. The point is, it doesn't have to be sobriety or a mental health thing for you, it could be any tough moment you are experiencing. That's why I started this page 4 years ago and that's why I stayed. 14. A lot of people claim that they can go to the ends of the Earth for their lover, you know, the “aasmaan se taare tod launga” type? As cliche as it might sound, some girls do get flattered by such passionate proclamations, but imagine if you happen to witness something of the sort (though, of course, not to an equivalent degree of similarity but equally hatke), and also be unintentional and weirdly connected to the entire episode, how would that make you feel? Something very similar happened to all those girls at the University of Calgary in Canada who went by the name 'Nicole'. On a regular college day, 246 Nicole(s) who were enrolled in the University of Calgary received a mass email from a university freshman named Carlos Zetina. © Twitter In the mail, he stated that his message was intended for the Nicole, who he had met at the campus bar the previous night, who was from Holland, who probably thought Nietzsche was depressing and who had perhaps given him a wrong number by mistake, hence making it impossible for him to reach out to her again. This man just emailed EVERY SINGLE NICOLE AT U OF C bc he got given a fake number. We now have a FB group and plans for a Nicole hang out. Thanks Carlos xoxo pic.twitter.com/bRAT5sXRtV — Nicole Sparling (@irish_dancer66) September 7, 2018 Imagine landing yourself such an earnest and persistent guy who, we're hoping, has no skewed intentions. However, the email led to the coming together of a number of Nicole(s) from the mailing list and a mini meetup happened where all the other girls decided to help Zetina track down the actual Nicole. © Twitter They set up a Facebook group called 'Nicole From Last Night' and formed a 'Nicole network' to find the intended recipient of the email. Apparently, Zetina had written the mail to not appear like a guy who didn't bother to text back a girl after taking her number. Ah, well. It's the thought that counts right? At long last, the actual Nicole (who hadn't received the mass email) heard about the interesting developments from a fellow friend and responded on the group, stating that she was the girl Zetina was looking for and that he must have taken down a digit incorrectly in her number, which led to the entire situation. Well, all is well that ends well, right? Even Zetina wouldn't have imagined this would become so big a thing on social media.
  15. I know that playing games sometimes is really a childish gambit, but there are some things you gotta do, to get the kind of attention you need and deserve from the woman you're attracted to, and playing hard to get is one of them! Even if she knows you're into her, don't throw yourself at her disposal, just so you can win her over. If she knows you're available for her all the time, then she will rain all over your parade and make it difficult for you to get what you really want. © Dharma Productions Playing hard to get is different from 'the chase' and in no way, it's as harsh as it sounds. It's just that it may backfire sometimes if you drag it along too far or if you play too hard to get, to get her attention. Other than that, it's a fun game to indulge in and by the end of it, we know for sure, she's going to be wanting you back as much as you want her in the first place. Here are 5 ways you can play hard to get to win her attention: (1) Do Not Give Her The Attention She Wants Yes, of course, she wants attention from you. Even if she doesn't say it, she always wants it. So, give her the attention she needs but not the attention she wants. Which means, you really need to get into your crush's head to figure out what kind of attention she wants and try and play hard to get around that. The thing is, if you give her the attention she wants, she will stop working towards caring about that attention from you and it'll all end there. So, always weigh the kind of attention you want to give her. Like, keep an eye on her but don't mollycoddle her, at least for a while. But don't create such a distance that she isn't interested in pursuing anything with you. Be smart about it. (2) Get Her To Make An Effort You obviously want your crush to make an effort for you, big or small. While she's making an effort, don't negate those efforts or act aloof and don't shy away from making efforts yourself. But remember to get her to make an effort for you. That's the one thing that will also bring equality into the equation, apart from playing hard to get. By playing hard to get, you can always make her feel in subtle ways, that making an effort for someone you care about isn't a bad thing at all. (3) Give Her A Chance To Miss You This one's important. Giving her space is very relevant if you want to win her attention. It makes her wonder about you more, which in turn makes her think about you and want to see you more often. It's like reverse psychology. Keeping her in mystery about your whereabouts really works like a charm. You can emerge once in a while and strike up a conversation. Don't go completely MIA on her, girls don't like that. In fact, be around from a distance, so that she misses you and wants to see you. (4) Build The Sexual Tension But Make Her Wait For *** If you're a smart guy, you'd know what I mean. Usually, women are a tease for men but sometimes men can be a tease too. You can build sexual tension in a lot of ways. You can attract her just by using your body language or by doing subtle things like sending hot selfies (not nudes!) of you, or using the element of mystery, to completely intrigue her. Whatever you do, build the sexual tension for a while but never give in, no matter how turned on the two of you are. This can be of great advantage for you, as she'll obviously want you more and when you do have *** with her eventually, it'll be great. (5) Use The Element Of Mystery Don't let her in easy, always keep your guard up for a while, when you're playing hard to get, just so she's more intrigued by your presence. Be the man of mystery, she is dying to solve! It's rather simple. A woman's mind tends to fill the missing gaps, when there is a lack of information. If you reveal everything at once, there is no scope for leaving anything to the imagination. Simply put, the psychology of attraction always helps if you don't reveal much about yourself and let them be as curious as they can, leaving an element of mystery, to ponder upon. So, let her want to know you more and more before you give in and become unguarded. Playing hard to get should never be stressful psychologically or otherwise for either of you. Don't come off as an ass****! Keep your distance intelligently and give her the affection she deserves, be mysterious but not stupid. Don't lose your lady love in the bargain and always respect her choices. Once she's completely into you, you can stop playing hard to get and get to know her like you want to, as well.
  16. Rejections and failures are said to be the best teachers in life. They allow us to assess the circumstances and prepare for a better comeback in the future, thereby not only enabling us to learn from our mistakes but also help improve upon our strengths. While other rejections in life may be a little easier to get past, a rejection in the matters of the heart can a lot of time to get over, especially if you really love someone but the feelings are not reciprocated. As hard as it can be, there's no denying that the majority of us might have been through it. © Pexels That got us thinking if we could perhaps get together and chart out the major deciding factors behind those rejections and quickly got down to it. We went around asking fellow friends and young girls and there surfaced what seems to be like a common trope behind most rejections. These reasons are pretty easy for guys to overlook but matter a whole lot to the girls and play an important role in their decisions. So be sure to read through to find out what they said. 1. Your Personality Is Too Strong Or Not Strong Enough via GIPHY “I see red flags when a guy is domineering to the point of trying to take control of my life. I hate that in a man.” - Lavanya Chauhan We know it seems more like a contradiction but most of the women we asked said that while they liked a man who is confident and has a purpose in life, they were also repelled by the ones who tend to be overbearing and have a controlling streak, thus inhibiting their freedom and movement. They want to be able to breathe in the relationship, but that also doesn't mean they want you to be too mellow. 2. You Exhibit Lack Of Confidence via GIPHY “I can instantly tell if I want to date a guy by the way he carries himself. He need not be the most good looking guy in the room, but he needs to have an air of confidence around him.” - Mohana Deb We also noticed that just like men like dating confident women, women also have the hots for men who exude confidence. Most women we spoke to would rather go for a man who may be average looking but has loads of confidence and knows his sh*t. They feel that men who have confidence mostly tend to be more receptive towards various aspects of the relationship and know how to take control when needed. 3. Lack Of Initiative via GIPHY “I absolutely hate it when guys don't put any efforts into the relationship. I mean what's the point of such a lengthy courtship if you don't give a shit about our future?” - Rupal Singh Now this one is important because almost all the women we spoke to mentioned this one. Lack of initiative and effort in a relationship is a major turn-off for women. We were also told that they really appreciate it when they see the guy investing in the relationship and its future just as much as they do. They like to know that you value her and what you share together. 4. You're Trying Too Hard via GIPHY “But my pet peeve is a guy jo gur pe makkhi ke jaise mujhse chipak jaye. I'd instantly run in the other direction.” - Tara Nair Again, if you feel this comes as a contradiction to the previous point, trust us, we agree too, but when we pointed that out what they said actually made sense. They said that they want and like the efforts you put in but that does not mean they are looking for someone who is clingy. Women like the sense of chase as much as you do, so it only makes sense if that goes against you. There you go. Make sure to steer clear of these in the future and hopefully you'll not face rejection
  17. We saw her play Aamir Khan's eldest daughter in 'Dangal' and soon she became a household name. Who would have thought that playing Geeta Phogat would make Fatima Sana Shaikh an overnight star? Her hard work and sheer acting talent have put her on the path of success. Looking back at 'Dangal', we don't think anyone else could have portrayed the raw ferocity yet delicate vulnerability of Geeta, as Fatima did. Going Bindass in Europeððð Can't believe the things @sanyamalhotra_ makes me do sometimes!!! A post shared by Fatima Sana Shaikh (@fatimasanashaikh) on Aug 29, 2018 at 11:17pm PDT The journey has just begun for this 26-year-old star and there is certainly no stopping her. She is all set to now romance Aamir Khan in 'Thugs of Hindostan' and share screen space with Bollywood biggies like Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif. The talented actress has been praised for her work but at the same time, she has also been trolled and criticised, however, she is strong, bright, bold and all set to conquer the industry with her acting and persona. Happy walla birthday tauji ð A post shared by Fatima Sana Shaikh (@fatimasanashaikh) on Mar 14, 2018 at 7:08am PDT MensXP caught up with Fatima for a little chat and the beautiful star got candid with us on a string of topics, some which caught us by surprise: Shah Rukh, Aamir or Salman? Shah Rukh, my bachpan ka pyaar. I love his work, I love his acting, even though Salman is the BHAI but Shah Rukh is my first love. Working with Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan yet again, how has it been? It's an experience. Aamir is a school in himself. He has a lot of knowledge. You know, anyone who has spent so many years in the industry has a lot to share and there's so much to learn from. A post shared by Fatima Sana Shaikh (@fatimasanashaikh) on Dec 4, 2017 at 10:07pm PST And Amitabh Bachchan? People dream of such an opportunity and your second movie is with him. Amitabh sir is like a legend and he's an icon. He's extremely warm and I'm very happy that I got a chance to work with him. Even just being around him, you get to learn so much when you see him working so hard, even now after so many years. I'm very happy to be around such amazing people. A shift from TV to the silver screen? How did it happen? I started my career as a child actor and I was initially doing films and I've done many of them. Then I did TV, so like I've been around since I was a child. Things were coming to me but then there was also a phase when I was struggling again. I began to audition, 3-4 ads in a day, just like anyone else who comes and struggles. My journey has been very interesting, beautiful and difficult at the same time, as I have always wanted to do this and while all these things are happening right now, there's a lot of hard work. You eventually become a public figure and I was not prepared for that, I'm still not. Like even now I feel it's very intimidating, it's very new to me. I'm not used to anything; I'm not used to people talking about me because I'm still the same person that I was before all this happened. @abhitakesphotos दà¥à¤¸à¥à¤¤ फ़à¥à¤à¥ à¤à¥à¤à¤à¤¤à¤¾à¥¤ ð¥ dhanywaad A post shared by Fatima Sana Shaikh (@fatimasanashaikh) on Sep 16, 2017 at 11:38am PDT Tell us a couple of things about Mr. Perfectionist that people don't know. He loves to be in a freezer. If you're ever in his office, the temperature is somewhere near minus 15 degrees. So you've to carry your own kambal (quilt) and jacket (laughs loudly). He loves reading, so much that he would finish a novel in 2 days. How do you pick a movie to work in? Well, both the films that I've picked so far, 'Dangal' and 'Thugs Of Hindostan' have been very demanding ones. Playing a wrestler was very demanding. I would do a lot of research, watch a lot of videos of wrestling and the wrestlers giving interviews. I spent a lot of time doing that and of course, learning wrestling in real. For TOH, I learned a new skill. I learned archery and sword fighting and I practised proper Hindi dialogues because you know "Mumbai valon ki Hindi kaisi hoti hai." I think for me, when you're getting into a character there's no process, it just happens. Who is Fatima's ideal man? Oh God, Shah Rukh Khan, he's perfect for me (giggles). Yaar, I'm happy being single. I'm very comfortable being single. I don't have any strict notions. 18. I can't think of a better deal for men than women openly voicing out what they like and don't like. It's almost like you don't have to try too hard to figure out why women are mysterious, as long as they're vocal and if I have to give any advice to you lot, it's just going to be about how you should already know what women want, by the virtue of how they express themselves often. Don't get me yet? I stumbled upon this excellent compilation of 'women sharing their first date experiences' on Twitter and some of it is actually avoidable. 19. Most of us have dreamt of reaching for the skies at some point in our lives. While some of us have had the chance to turn that dream into a reality, the rest of us are still moving forward on our journeys. However, regardless of where one stands on their respective journeys or which leg of the story remains to be discovered yet, one has to overcome a zillion hurdles before they can cross the finish line. Instagram Though at times somewhere along the way a few of our comrades give up on their dreams in the face of testing challenges, there still remain a few who continue to strive against all odds and keep moving forward. The following account you're about to read is about one such young lad who has been a massive inspiration to hundreds of young Indians for displaying sheer will of character and hard work to turn dreams into reality. This is the story of Indore's homeboy Madhusudan Patidar and how he toiled hard to become the youngest Indian to climb the Mount Everest via North Ridge. He even has a world record of being 'the first person to stay on Mt. Kilimanjaro's summit for 22 hours' to his name. Rooted In Passion Instagram A resident of Rau in Indore, Patidar comes from a middle-class family of lesser means but great dreams, and an earnest hope to live a reality carved out of hard work, sincerity and faith. He is a Fire Technology engineer by degree but an avid mountaineer by profession and lives by the motto 'ain't no mountain high enough'. It all started when he was in 7th standard and went on an excursion with his father. By the end of that adventure he'd fallen head over heels with the aspect of rock climbing and his heart was soon set on scaling the mighty Everest. Instagram In no time, his love turned into an obsession and Madhusudan went on to get himself enrolled for the basic course of mountaineering from Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering, and then later, for the advance course from Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. Facing Those Challenges However, scaling up those mountains came with their own set of challenges. Madhusudan had to struggle real hard in order to arrange Rs 35 lakhs for his training and lack of funds forced his family to sell off their house and even mortgage his mother's jewellery. Instagram Even the government turned a deaf ear to his requests for financial aid. Patidar's applications found no takers in either the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare or in Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan. Undeterred, Madhusudan approached his friends and neighbours who came together to invest in his dreams. Living The Dream On May 21, 2017, Patidar—fondly called MP's Mowgli—successfully climbed atop the Everest and became the youngest Indian to reach there via the North Ridge. He later named 21st May 2017 his 'Dream Day'. Instagram Later that year on 18th December, he went on to earn the feat of climbing atop Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa. Not only this, he opted for the toughest Western Breach route to reach the Kilimanjaro summit and once there, he decided to attempt something unprecedented. He spent a record 22 hours on the summit and made it to the Guinness Book of World Records! Eyeing Newer Heights Having successfully checked two out the seven highest peaks he has on his list, he's excited than ever to take on his next expedition and move closer to his ultimate goal. From losing a part of his finger to frostbite to losing a team member to a gorge during the climb, Patidar has been witness to numerous challenges and hardships but eventually come out of them with flying colours! Instagram He has given the country many reasons to be proud of him and the youth of the nation an inspiration to learn from. We are really happy to be sharing his story with you and would love to hear your thoughts on it too.
  20. Consider this: you're in a double-breasted suit, with your mane in the best form and are greeting your next, big potential client. But while you're shaking his hands, his eyes wander and he notices that very unpleasant-looking — or rather, yellow — collar of your white dress shirt. Now, chances are, he's either actually going to cite it to you (which is very rare, unless he's a work-friend) or well, just make a face and keep it to himself. Whatever may be the case, the baseline remains: your grooming habits can creep into your sartorial ways of living, easily. So, keep a close watch, boy. Here, we list down 5 grooming habits that'll ensure your style-skills are always on point and come what your way, no one's going to notice anything amiss. © Instagram/Kartik Aaryan 1. To Avoid: Yellow Shirt Collars Maintain: Neck Hygiene It's a rather simple task, so to say, but neck hygiene is ignored by one and all. But starting today, begin with wiping the dirt off it with attention daily. Exfoliate the area every two days and trim any unwanted strands in/around the neck region and avoid too much hair product trickling down your neck (use a bare-minimum amount at the back of your hair). © Hex Performance 2. To Avoid: The Absence Of Sandals In Your Wardrobe Maintain: Foot Hygiene (Or Get A Pedicure Regularly) Sandals are lovely. Even more, when the mercury rises and keeping your skin exposed is the best way to live. But what if you have disgusting feet? Well, you shouldn't have disgusting feet. Opt for a frequent pedicure or indulge in the little things at home: scrub your feet well, ensure you kick the dead skin cells off, trim your toenails regularly, apply a foot cream before hitting the bed daily and using a filer, always shape your nails. © Instagram/Best Sandals For Men 3. To Avoid: Not Wearing Tank Tops (Because Of Back Hair) Maintain: A Well-Planned, Hair-Trimming Regime Strands of hair as natural entities, grow almost everywhere on the body. But well, on the back? Now, that's an unpleasant sight (but hey, it's a natural process too). But since you want to look your best in a tank top, turn to shaving/waxing your back hair. And while that's important, it's equally vital for you to maintain the skin on your back too. While shaving the hair, always use a pre-shave oil, fresh blades, and invest in post-shave care as well. And in general, don't forget to scrub and moisturise the skin on your back as well.
  21. Men, let me tell you one thing. Women check you out even before agreeing to go out on a date with you, and if you fail in their style or 'presence' meter, you're not making it anywhere with them. First impressions go all the way and you wouldn't want to fail in that department now, would you? When you get dressed in the morning, you obviously want to look good for yourself and make yourself irresistible to the ladies. That will only happen with two things- always listen to the ladies in your life about style, and stop wearing jeans that are tighter than JLo's butt. © Facebook We rounded up 12 women and asked them about the sexiest, most attractive things men can wear or don (thank us later?) and here's what they had to say : A Nice Fitted Suit © Eros International "I like a man who can fit into a nice suit and show his body off. Of course, he needs to be lean and have a decent body to show it off through his suit. I don't like men who dress up scruffy, especially for a formal occasion or wear loose clothes. I mean, what's the deal with cargo shorts and a tee that hangs on you like you're a hanger"? - Priyanjali, 32. A Pair Of Nice Boxers © Thinkstock "I am a big sucker for men in their boxers. Yeah, it's probably the same as men having a thing for women in their underwear, but this is different. I'd like my man to roam about the house in nothing but boxers and it would turn me on, instantly! I think boxers should become a legit thing to wear outdoors"! - Kritika, 30 White Tee & Jeans © Pinterest "This fetish for seeing men in a white T-shirt and jeans started with my obsession with John Abraham and I fall weak on my knees when I see any man dressed like that. Support the jeans with a good belt and you're golden!" - Khushboo, 29 A Pair Of Good Sneakers © Pinterest "Basic good sneakers can go a long way and can be pulled off with a pair of cargos or denims even. I am not too big a fan of colourful sneakers but a basic black or white would do. Even a good pair of Converse is quite cool on a guy". - Hinakshi, 23 A Pink Tee/Shirt © Twitter "For me, pink is associated with positive emotions and if a guy can pull the colour off, it's really sexy. A nice light/baby pink shirt looks remarkable on a man. Who says pink is only meant for girls?" - Deepti, 28 Chinos © Pinterest "It's a refreshing change to see a man in a pair of well-fitted chinos, than the regular denims or pants. Khakhi chinos look really amazing on men and if they have a great butt, it's a double whammy"! - Akanksha, 33 Polo T-Shirts © Paramount Pictures "I like men in Polo tees and prefer them to v-necks or round necks any day. They look comfortable, stylish and suave, all at the same time. They're also the best thing to wear if you want to experiment with different colours." - Harshleen, 25 A Pair Of Aviators © Twitter "Oh man, whenever I see a guy in aviators, I just want to go right up ahead and get to know him better! They look so hot on men and they're the most stylish, old-school things that will never lose their charm! A man walking down the street in a pair of good aviators is surely going to turn some heads around" - Mansi, 35 A V-Neck Sweater © Yash Raj Films "I have a thing for men in solid v-neck sweaters. I think they look rather classy with denims or with a pair of pants even and it can be used for both formal and informal wear. Solid colours define the actual taste of a man. So, if I see a man in a nice blue v-neck, I'll definitely check him out"! - Gauri, 24 A Black Henley © Pinterest "Henley's are cool and can be worn with anything, from shorts, to cargos, to denims to even pants. It's a step up from a t-shirt and great for casual weekend wear, I think. Guys pulling off a Henley look darn confident. I LOVE the colour black, so a black one does the trick pretty well" - Prachi, 27 Rolled Sleeves © Twitter "I love men who roll their shirt sleeves up and show their forearms off. Boy, that's such a turn on! It just makes it seem like he's kicking back and relaxing after doing some rugged work all day. I always insist my man on rolling his sleeves up, haha"! - Natasha, 30 Mufflers & Beanies "Men in winters have to look warm fuzzy and hot, all at the same time. They should be like a cup of nice warm tea. Making you feel really good! I love men wearing caps, hoodies and beanies for the winter with a nice warm muffler. They look so tempting"! - Trisha, 29 So, there we have it. 12 women revealing what looks the most attractive to them in a man, in terms of accessories and clothing. Wear this stuff in front of them, and you're golden. Apart from these clothes, you need two more things though. An ounce of confidence and a smile that lights your face up, to match your outfit!
  22. I'm as sick of writing about the 'Kiki Challenge' as people are of reading about it, I'm assuming. But, looks like we still have a few more weeks left to erase the word 'kiki' from our brains forever and we can't do anything but wait. It's okay people, just hold on for some more time. But, since the 'Kiki Challenge' or the 'In My Feelings Challenge' is the biggest internet trend right now, we can't really escape it. But, what we all can agree on is how unsafe it actually is. I mean, who would want to get down from a moving car to profess their love for 'Kiki' who doesn't even seem to care. She's not worth it. With so many broken bones all over the world, even the police had to get involved to prevent people from killing themselves because of their own stupidity. But, that's not the worst part; turns out the guy in the picture is very much alive! Imagine people thinking you're dead, especially when the official Twitter account of a police department is saying that. The guy in the ad, Jawahar Subhash Chandra, a 30-year-old Kochi resident, is quite amused at being 'dead' on Twitter. While talking to The News Minute, he said, “I started receiving calls from random people asking me if I was okay and if my family is okay. If I leave my phone for an hour I get about 6-7 missed calls from people, sometimes old friends. Even my parents are getting calls asking if I am okay. The fact that people thought I died even helped me revive a few old friendships.” Before anyone starts pointing any fingers at the police department, it's important to clarify that Chandra had modelled for stock photographs about a decade ago and his picture was purchased by Jaipur Police legally. Well, this is one hell of a story for Jawahar now. “Remember that one time the entire country thought I died after doing the 'Kiki Challenge'?” – What an icebreaker!

  24. Searching for a job is one of the worst things ever; the struggle, the rejection, the entire process is so nerve-wracking. But, it's way more stressful when you're trying to start working so that you can support yourself and get off the streets. Instead of asking for money, a homeless guy had a brilliant idea. David Casarez, a web developer from Texas was little down on his luck, to say the least. After earning his bachelor's in management information systems from Texas A&M University, he managed to land a good web developer job at General Motors in Austin. But, he wanted to try out his luck so he cashed out his 401-K and drove to Silicon Valley to pursue the dream of his own tech start-up, but things didn't go exactly as he planned. After running out of cash, he ended up living in his car. In fact, he lived in his car for more than a year. He said, “No one was hiring. I had an interview with Apple in January, but the job was filled internally.” But after his van was repossessed, he ended up sleeping on a park bench. Then, one day he woke up in the park, put on a nice shirt and tie, and carried his hand-written cardboard sign to a nearby highway median. The sign read: “Homeless. Hungry 4 success. Take a resume.” © Twitter And, I don't think even he knew the impact of his one sign at that moment. A passer-by clicked his picture and then shared it on Twitter. Soon, he went viral and received more than 200 job offers. He said, “Google reached out to me. So many other companies. Pandora. A bunch of startups. A product manager from Bitcoin.com was wondering if I could work remotely or if I want to relocate to Tokyo. But tonight, I'll be back on my bench in Rengstorff Park.” Today I saw this young homeless man asking for people to take a resume rather than asking for money. If anyone in the Silicon Valley could help him out, that would be amazing. Please RT so we can help David out! pic.twitter.com/ewoE3PKFx7 — FullMakeup Alchemist (@jaysc0) July 27, 2018 Talking about the fateful day that changed his life, he said, “To be presentable to my future employers. It was basically a make-or-break moment. I wanted to keep my head up high, keep looking forward and see what opportunity would come next. I was thinking you know, like this was like my last stop. If this didn't work, I'd go back home and give up on my dream.” © Twitter Thank you everyone for the outpouring of support! I am completely floored by how many are interested in my #Hungry4Success story. I have met several who have been or currently are in the same situation tell me their story. I am glad to be an inspiration for you all. — David Casarez (@DavidCasarez17) July 29, 2018
