  1. A water-tight skin-care regime is a solution to clear, acne-free skin. Not just acne, other skin woes like discolouration, redness and inflammation are also less likely to trouble you if you follow your routine regularly. So, if you're looking to start a new skincare routine, you've come to the right place. However, it can be rather daunting to know where to start. Besides that, sometimes, it's important to get clarity on what a particular product does for the skin. So, here's a guide to help you understand the 5-step skincare routine easily. Here are the steps that should be a part of your skincare routine: 1. Cleansing 2. Toning 3. Using a serum 4. Using an eye cream 5. Moisturiser Here are some handy notes on these steps: 1. CleansingCleansing is the most important step to follow every morning and night. It actively removes dirt, toxins, and impurities. In fact, it sets the base for the skin for the products that will follow to have maximum effect. Most cleansers just require you to wet your face and then use a nickel-size amount of product onto your fingertips to gently spread across the face. This is followed by a thorough cleansing with water. You can try the MensXP Mud face wash. __ECOMPRODUCT__127__ This face wash is filled with the goodness of Amazonian white clay and honey to wash your face and nourish it. 2. ToningAn often missed step, toning is just as important. If cleansing cleans your face, toning makes for the second base. Toning is also helpful for men who face acne, ingrown hairs, or signs of ageing. For acne and ingrown hair, you need a toner that has a concentration of lactic or salicylic acid—even a combination formula with calming ingredients like aloe. __ECOMPRODUCT__910__ 3. Use A SerumIf you're a beginner in the world of skincare, you need to understand that using a serum can have more benefits than one. A serum usually consists of a formula with a high concentration of a few potent ingredients. If you want to switch up your skincare game, you should definitely get a serum. __ECOMPRODUCT__1158__ 4. Use An Eye CreamThe skin underneath your eyes is relatively fragile, this explains eye bags and raccoon eyes that become prevalent as soon as we stop taking care of ourselves. You need a soothing eye cream with emollient properties that work on your problem areas and prevents further damage. __ECOMPRODUCT__609__ 5. Use A Hydrating MoisturiserFinish your routine with a moisturiser that locks in the moisture but does not clog your pores at the same time. For application, cover your face the product with gentle strokes. __ECOMPRODUCT__318__ View the full article
  2. Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun Tendulkar has been in the news ever since Mumbai Indians picked him in IPL auction 2021 in Chennai on Thursday. He was picked at the base price of Rs 20 Lakhs. Well, Arjun is quite excited to be a part of the team as he has been following the team for a long while now. "Since childhood, I have always been a die-hard fan of Mumbai Indians. I would like to thank coaches, owners, and support staff for showing faith in me. I am excited to join the MI paltan," Arjun said in a video posted by Mumbai Indians on their Twitter handle. People have started to bash the board and are talking about how Nepotism plays a huge role in the selection of Arjun Tendulkar. Why so is happening...!!? Raja ka beta hi raja banega? Living in the 80s & 70s ... Select the people on the basis of knowledge , skills & talent!! And this is one of the reasons why India is still not developed! People have started to point at the fact that if Arjun is igniting the topic of Nepotism, Aryan Khan also falls in a similar category. Yesterday, a picture of Aryan drinking coffee started doing the rounds and cricket fans got irked when people started to draw uncanny similarities between him and his father SRK. Back in 2016, there was a huge furor over the selection of Arjun Tendulkar in the Under-16 West Zone squad and people were angry how Pranav wasn’t considered for the same. Pranav’s father Prashant had cleared the air around the selection and his son wasn’t ignored because of Arjun Tendulkar. "The selection for Mumbai's U-16 team happened before Pranav's record. They had also played a few matches. So since Pranav didn't feature for the Mumbai U-16 team, he cannot be a part of the West zone side, that's the procedure," Prashant earlier told Firstpost. Arjun and Pranav are good friends, they speak regularly with each other," he added. It’s after four years that Arjun was picked by IPL and Pranav is nowhere to be seen. Mumbai Indians head coach Mahela Jayawardene revealed the reason behind Arjun’s purchase was purely on the basis of his skill sets. Do you agree with what people are saying or want to wait to see Arjun’s skills in the field and then decide? Let us know in the comments section below! View the full article
  3. Apple shifted to its own in-house M1 processors for faster performance. It's mostly been a positive move so far, except for the fact that most devs are still trying to get their software to run natively on the M1 notebooks. Yes, Apple's Rosetta creates backward compatibility, but there's a lot more work to be done. And now, we've just learned about malware native to the M1. Security researcher Patrick Wardle released findings on this new malware. It's essentially an adware extension for Safari that previously ran on Intel chips. © Unsplash This is definitely an issue because the security community doesn't have signatures to detect these threats yet. The reason for that is because they haven't been observed. These security programs will have to catch up with the new tech because Apple is most likely going to go full-stream with its new processors, releasing a lot more variants. We really hope there are proper solutions in place because these malware programs are going to keep popping up and it'll be very hard to track them down because of lack of signatures. This is usually the case when we're dealing with a new kind of tech, but we're sure the security community will come through. We'll keep an eye on the developments, so stay tuned for more info. 6. Twitter has announced that it's introducing the 'Voice DM' feature on its mobile app. This feature comes after it rolled out the audio tweets and Audio Spaces features. Twitter is clearly trying to go all-in on making audio an integral part of its platform. The voice DM feature is initially available to users in India, Brazil, and Japan starting Feb 17 which is today. We're glad that this feature is finally making its way to the users because it's been an experimental feature for quite some time now. It's slowly rolling on both Android and iOS and you should start seeing it soon. test, test: Starting today, you'll be able to record and send voice messages in DMs Here’s how PS. The experiment will be rolled out in phases. pic.twitter.com/aqQM6h9sof — Twitter India (@TwitterIndia) February 17, 2021 “We’re excited to bring the voice messages in DMs experiment to the country and give people a new way to express themselves and help them connect through the nuances, emotion, and empathy built by hearing someone’s voice,” stated Manish Maheshwari, Managing Director, Twitter India in an official press release. How To Use Twitter Voice DM Feature Open the Twitter app and head to the ‘Messages’ tab from the bottom navigation bar. Now, start a new conversation or enter an existing one to see a new 'wave' icon to the right of the message text box. Simply tap on it to start recording and tap it again to finish recording. It's different from how other apps let you tap and hold to record a voice message on Android. On iOS, however, you might have to tap and hold to record, but it'll be available to use at the same spot. The Twitter app will let you replay the message before sending it, so that's great. © Unsplash Twitter on the web won't let you record voice DMs, at least not yet, but you can listen to the ones sent to you. Considering how it manages to quickly roll out its features, we expect the voice DM feature to be available on the web very soon as well. Until then, we suggest you check out the feature on your mobile phone and try sending some audio messages to your friends. Your voice DMs will still go to Message Requests if it's coming from somebody that you don't follow, so you don't have to worry about random people sending you weird audio messages. You can simply choose to ignore it if you think it's coming from someone you don't know. View the full article
  7. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei recently announced his new company called "Nothing". With this new venture, Carl Pei and his team want to hit the "giant reset button" in consumer tech and start something new. It's looking very promising, but it remains to be seen what we get from them in the future. Now, Carl Pei has invited users to invest in the company, asking them to get involved in the development of the company and its products. The company essentially wants users to involve its users right from the funding stage to product development. It's a slightly different take on crowdfunding but it's definitely something that we've seen before. Here is the opportunity for you to be part of our journey: https://t.co/Z0jtXGnaub pic.twitter.com/C4E480lnHI — Nothing (@nothing) February 16, 2021 How Do You Invest In 'Nothing'?For now, Nothing has invited users to sign up for the campaign that's set to go live on March 2. All you need to do now is sign up via email with the desired amount that you'd like to pinch in. Signing up will get you early access to the funding platform. Nothing notes that the shares will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis. So if you are really interested in investing in an upcoming consumer tech company, that too at an attractive valuation, then now is the time. The minimum amount that you can invest is €50, which is roughly Rs 4,420. A single user can, however, invest a maximum of €20,000, which is approximately Rs 17 lakhs. © Nothing It's worth pointing out that you'll essentially be investing in a startup, so the usual set of risk factors are involved here, including illiquidity, lack of dividends, loss of investment, and dilution. Yes, the company is indeed backed by a lot of popular names in the tech industry and beyond, but it's still a startup at the end of the day, which may or may not flourish. Early investors will be a part of the community and will get some special rewards for investing. Nothing also noted that one member from the community will be selected to be a part of the board meetings to represent the voice of the community. View the full article
  8. Apple's AirTags has been one of the most anticipated products from the company in recent times. The company has been rumoured to be working on a Tile-like Bluetooth tracking device for a long time now. And if everything goes according to plan, it looks like they'll be officially announced very soon. According to a reliable tipster, who has talked about AirTags a lot before in the past, says that Apple is still on track to bring AirTags in March. Renowned Apple leakster Jon Prosser recently shared a tweet talking about the Apple AirTags. As per his tweets, the circular trackers are “still on for March” as he has not “heard of any further delays” about the product this time. Here, check out his tweet - AirTags are still on for March. Haven’t heard of any further delays this time. — Jon Prosser (@jon_prosser) February 12, 2021 It looks like Apple is planning on releasing the AirTags along with a couple of other devices. We think it's most likely going to be the new iPad Pros. The same March deadline for AirTags was also hinted at by the popular Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who predicted that the said device would be a part of Apple’s product line for 2021. There's no official word from the company that they're working on this Bluetooth-tracking but we're pretty sure the company has been working on this accessory for quite some time. We've heard about this device one too many times for it to be just a rumor. Let's just hope they'll bring it out very soon. © macrumors As for the device itself, it looks like it'll be very similar to other Bluetooth-tracking devices like Tile. Users will be able to attach it to their wallet, keys, or pretty much anything else that can get misplaced. You'll be able to track them using Apple's 'Find My' app. In fact, a new "Items" tab popped up on 'Find My' app last year, which means it's definitely in the works. Well, the new rumours point to a March release date, so let's just wait and see what we get. The new iPad Pros are also something that we're waiting to check out for quite some time now. It's safe to say that there are a ton of new products coming out soon, and we can't wait to check them out. View the full article
  9. There's no denying that Xiaomi's Redmi Note series is super popular in India. In fact, the Redmi series phones have been and are still continuing to be one of the best affordable smartphone options for people who don't want to splurge too much. Now, it looks like the company is bringing the Redmi Note 9 Series' successors to India. Yes, we'll soon be able to buy the new Redmi Note 10 series in India. Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the new Redmi Note 10 series devices will be launched in India in early March. Besides the March launch window, however, we don't have an official date yet from Xiaomi. But a leaked Amazon listing says that the new Redmi devices are coming out on March 10. This particular listing was spotted in a now-deleted tweet that said "the Redmi Note 10 series is “launching on 10th March”. Of course, there's no way to confirm this info until we hear something from Xiaomi. That being said, the company's obsession with the number 10 for this series could hint at this being the correct launch date. Redmi Note 10 series on March 10. Get it? As for the devices themselves, the company is planning to launch four variants - Redmi Note 10 4G, Redmi Note 10 5G, Redmi Note 10 Pro 4G, and Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G. So it looks like we won't be getting a Max Pro variant as we did with the Redmi Note 9 series from last year. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla We're particularly excited for these because they'll be the first set of 5G devices in the Redmi Note series. Although 5G isn't here yet and we don't expect it to arrive in India anytime soon and work flawlessly, it's still a nice feature to have. Coming to the prices, we sadly don't have any info regarding that. But if we go by the pricing of the previous Redmi Note devices, you can expect them to start at around Rs 13,000. The 5G-enabled variants, however, are expected to be priced well above Rs 15,000 mark. Source: Gizmochina View the full article
  10. On Saturday, the Delhi Police arrested 21-year-old climate activist Disha Ravi for allegedly sharing the toolkit related to the farmers’ protests against the Centre's three farm laws on social media. Ravi was arrested by the cybercrime unit of Delhi Police from her home in North Bengaluru. © TheNewsMinute_Twitter According to the reports, a senior police officer said that this was the first arrest in connection with the ‘toolkit case’. What is a 'Toolkit' 'Toolkit' is a term activists often use for a campaign information document. What Did The Police Say Ravi, as claimed by the police force, was an editor of the 'toolkit Google doc' and 'key conspirator' in the document’s formulation and dissemination. The police also said that Ravi and others “collaborated with pro-Khalistani Poetic Justice Foundation to spread disaffection against the Indian State.” Disha Ravi, arrested by CyPAD Delhi Police, is an Editor of the Toolkit Google Doc & key conspirator in document's formulation & dissemination. She started WhatsApp Group & collaborated to make the Toolkit doc. She worked closely with them to draft the Doc. @PMOIndia @HMOIndia https://t.co/e8QGkyDIVv — #DilKiPolice Delhi Police (@DelhiPolice) February 14, 2021 In this process, they all collaborated with pro Khalistani Poetic Justice Foundation to spread disaffection against the Indian State. She was the one who shared the Toolkit Doc with Greta Thunberg. @HMOIndia @LtGovDelhi @CPDelhi — #DilKiPolice Delhi Police (@DelhiPolice) February 14, 2021 The Delhi Police took to Twitter and stated that Ravi was the one who shared the toolkit document with Greta Thunberg, a teen climate activist, who had shared the toolkit to lend her support to the farmers’ agitation against the three farm reform laws. Who is Disha Ravi Disha Ravi is a graduate in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Mount Carmel College in Bengaluru. She aspired to pursue a career in finance and had been vocal about environmental issues long before she graduated from Mount Carmel College in Bengaluru in 2018. On her social media handles, she has described herself as co-founder of a group named ‘Fridays For Future India’ (FFF India). © Facebook In an interview last year with US author and professor Gayle Kimball, who is compiling a book on Gen Z girl climate activists, Disha mentioned that the Friday For Future India campaign materialised largely after she came in contact with two like-minded women from Bengaluru, who were interested in the climate change campaign on the Internet. “All our associations were formed through the internet — Instagram and other social media. We connected through mutual friends and that is how we found each other. Most of us are women. I had not seen any of them before. Bangalore was the first but simultaneously Mumbai and Delhi started. We did not want do it in one city alone,” she said in the interview. FFF India currently has around 150 activists with around 20-30 in Bengaluru. With its activity being largely volunteer-oriented, there are only a few activists who are part of all activities and others are volunteers who may be part of a few events. © Twitter Besides, she regularly writes columns and articles in leading news portals on climate action and is a familiar name in important climate forums frequented by youth activists across the globe. In an interview with Auto Report Africa in 2020, Ravi spoke about how she found her passion for climate activism and said, “My motivation to join climate activism came from seeing my grandparents, who are farmers, struggle with the effects of the climate crisis.” “At the time, I wasn’t aware that what they were experiencing was the climate crisis because climate education is non-existent where I’m from. Only when I did my research, did I find out about it,” she added. How Did She Get Linked To Greta Thunberg © Reuters Disha’s role came under suspicion by the Delhi Police after climate activist Greta Thunberg tweeted a toolkit document which the police alleged had led to the January 26 violence in New Delhi. Without naming Thunberg in the FIR, the Delhi Police went ahead to register the case against the authors of the toolkit. View the full article
  11. A lot of manufacturers making gaming laptops have been focusing on making them thinner and lighter with each iteration. That's a good thing because most gaming laptops these days don't have to be super bulky to handle the latest games and pump out high frames. Dell has also been doing something similar with its Alienware line up. The Area 51M, however, is a different breed. It's not one of those thin and light gaming laptops. It's a behemoth and stands as a callback to the time when gaming laptops were "huge chonky bois". But exactly how powerful is this machine? Well, we've been using the Alienware Area 51M R2 for quite some time now, and here's what we think about it - Design & Build QualityTaking the Area 51M R2 out of its box made me wonder "Why would anyone buy this?" It's that heavy. It's the farthest thing from a portable laptop you can buy. In fact, you can call it a "portable desktop" as opposed to a laptop. It's a massive machine weighing over 4 kgs, plus the two gargantuan sized power adapters. I'd say just set it up on a table like a desktop and don't ever think about carrying it with you everywhere. © MensXP/Karthik Iyer The design of this machine screams gaming to me. It's not obnoxiously bold or striking with weird red and black colors. Instead, it's got a white paint job with tons of RGB lighting. There's RGB on the keyboard, the trackpad, and at the back of the machine. Again, it doesn't make it look weird, but it definitely sports a futuristic look that'll grow on you over time. I also like how the matte white color is smooth to touch. DisplayThe Area 51M R2 unit that I got to use came with a 1080p 300Hz display. A higher refresh rate panel like this one a godsend to gamers and I really enjoyed playing games on it. Of course, it would've been awesome to have more pixels but the 2080 Super isn't cut out to handle 1440p at a high refresh rate properly. We'll have to wait for the newer RTX 30-series-powered laptops for that. © MensXP/Karthik Iyer Hitting higher frame rates will totally depend on the titles that you are trying to play. Games like Apex Legends, Valorant, and Overwatch felt incredible but I had to tone down the settings for more demanding AAA titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, Control, and more. You do have an option to choose between a 1080p panel or a 4K, so we suggest you pick one as per your needs. Creative professionals should most definitely go for the 4k option if the budget allows. They all measure 17.3-inches, so you are only choosing the resolution and refresh rate. Specs & PerformanceAll Area 51M R2 variants are armed to the tooth and are significantly better than most other gaming laptops that are using, say, a Max-Q GPU that have lower Total Graphics Power (TGP). The variant that I got to review was powered by an Intel i9-10900K, an RTX 2080 Super GPU, 32GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD. Along with a Tobii eye-tracking sensor and a high-refresh-rate panel, we're looking at a super expensive machine. In terms of performance, the Area 51M R2 just obliterates every game you throw at it. I mean, playing games is what the 51M R2 was made to do and it does it excellently. You can throw any modern AAA title at it and it'll run it at max graphics and still maintain high frame rates. Here's a look at the benchmark graph to see what kind of frames we were getting - © MensXP Keyboard & TrackpadThe keyboard on the Area 51M R2 is excellent with good key travel and feel. It's, in fact, perfect for gaming too. I never connected an external keyboard and used it throughout the time I had it for review. Even typing on this is so much fun. RGB lovers will absolutely enjoy customizing the lighting and play around. © MensXP/Karthik Iyer The trackpad is relatively small for a laptop of this size but it's pretty good. It's powered by Windows Precision drivers and works very well for input. Gamers will always be connecting an external mouse, so we think this is absolutely fine for other normal use. No complaints here! Battery LifeThe battery inside the Area 51M is a 90-Watt hour unit, but sadly it doesn't manage to keep this laptop alive for a long time. It's not going to last you more than 2 hours at max even using for productivity work. You should not be playing games on battery power because, well, the internals are incredibly powerful and will probably kill in minutes. That's exactly why you cannot use this laptop for gaming when you are on the move. And that makes it not-so-portable, at least for gaming. Just set it up as a desktop replacement and you'll be good to go with occasional relocation. © MensXP/Karthik Iyer The Final SayOverall, the Area 51M R2, even though it'll probably cost you an arm and a leg and then some, is one of the best gaming laptops one can buy right now. Yes, it's expensive and probably way bulkier than you had imagined, it still does what it's designed to do - play games. And it does that very well and can handle all the modern AAA titles. So if you are in the market to buy a gaming machine to play all kinds of games in 2021, then this is definitely a great option if you can afford it. Producer Boney Kapoor is extremely upset over the upcoming clash between his much-awaited sports-drama Maidaan starring Ajay Devgn, and director SS Rajamouli’s historical drama, Roudram Ranam Rudhiram (RRR). © Facebook_RRR In a recent interview, Kapoor lashed out at Rajamouli alleging lack of camaraderie among Indian filmmakers. Here’s What He Said “The clash between RRR and Maidaan is very unfortunate and at the same time, it is unethical,” Boney Kapoor told Forbes. 18. Abhay Deol can’t stop praising actors Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhasker and jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali. Wondering why? It’s because these women were among the few Indian celebrities to voice their support for farmers' protest and against the near-identical “India against propaganda” tweets by other actors and cricketers including Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar and others. Sharing screenshots of tweets made by the three, Abhay wrote in an Instagram post, "The popular expression, 'having the b@!!$' means to say 'having the courage.' Looking at these lovely ladies’ media feed and I think we should replace 'b@!!$' with 'V@£!/@' @taapsee, @farahkhanali @reallyswara ya’ll should be in the next @badgalriri video! Right wing trolls in 3, 2, 1." View this post on Instagram In her tweet on Thursday, Taapsee had made an indirect comment about the social media outcry that Rihanna's comment on the farmers' protests evoked. "If one tweet rattles your unity, one joke rattles your faith or one show rattles your religious belief then it’s you who has to work on strengthening your value system not become ‘propaganda teacher’ for others," she'd written. Farah expressed her disappointment and reminded everyone of the distinction between ‘reel-life heroes’ and ‘real-life heroes’. “Disappointed with the fraternity tweeting identical tweets that make it more like a marketing gimmick. Whatever their reasons & I’m no one to judge at least u could have tried to make it more original. Now you have given yourselves away. Reel Life Heroes VS Real Life Heroes,” she wrote. Actress Swara Bhasker has also been tweeting on the topic. घटिया लोग! ओछे लोग! दिमाग़ में गटर!!! #Shame pic.twitter.com/DmJfoQka5A — Swara Bhasker (@ReallySwara) February 4, 2021 The BackstoryOn Wednesday, a host of Bollywood celebrities, including Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor and Suniel Shetty, posted similar statements about the ongoing farmers’ protest with the hashtag #IndiaAgainstPropaganda. Their tweets came after the External Affairs Ministry’s statement on certain ‘vested interest groups’ succeeding in getting ‘international support against India’, after pop star Rihanna, teenage activist Greta Thunberg and others commented on the protests. 19. Valve's Steam Game Festival is all set to kick off tomorrow. During the festival, we'll be able to get access to playable demos of more than 500 upcoming games from indie developers. This is one of the most anticipated festivals and we can't wait to check out all the new games. In addition to the playable demos, we'll also be able to check out panel discussions and live chats for an interactive experience. The iteration of the Steam Game Festival took place back in December 2019, so it'll be interesting to see how this one unfolds. Here's a trailer video for the festival - As you can see, the trailer video from Steam is titled What's Next and it teases a few of the games that look to be available for demo during the festival. It includes Genesis Noir from Feral Cat Den; The Riftbreaker from Exor Studios; Narita Boy from Studio Koba; Almighty: Kill Your Gods from Runwild Entertainment; Fling to the Finish by Splitside Games; Black Book from Morteshka, and many others. Steam has also set up a microsite to allow interested gamers to set a reminder via email or the mobile app. The site can be accessed via Steam's homepage. The whole idea behind this festival is to allow gamers to experience these upcoming games and get a feel for them before they officially come out. The devs will also be open to feedback so that the games can be fully ready before they come out. Additionally, this will allow these new devs to be under the spotlight and get some exposure. © Unsplash Steam has already hosted a bunch of events this year and it's been a blast for gamers this year.
