  1. Getting a tattoo is actually quite a monumental thing. That is why it is imperative that you do it just right. © Instagram/devilztattoozlokesh Apart from picking a good artist, you also need to ensure that you’re absolutely sure about the tattoo’s design and where on your body would you like to have it - after all, getting rid of it will be a whole lot more difficult and painful, than getting inked in the first place. © Instagram/devilztattoozlokesh We spoke to Lokesh Verma, a celebrity tattoo artist who has worked with stars like Remo D’Souza, Swara Bhaskar, Ishant Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Tapsee Pannu, and Umesh Yadav etc. He listed out a few key things that one ought to be mindful of, whether they’re getting inked for the first time or are a tattoo veteran. © Instagram/devilztattoozlokesh Here are 6 important things you should always remember when getting a tattoo: 1. Stay Sober © iStock Tattooing can be tough on your skin, depending on its condition. Don’t get a tattoo when you’re hungover, or are under the influence of anything because such things make the blood thinner and the tattoo doesn’t heal well. There may also be an adverse reaction to the ink. Stay off of alcohol & painkillers for at least 24 hours before your appointment. 2. Eat Something © iStock Have a light, but fulfilling meal before getting inked. Getting inked with an empty stomach is a really bad idea. Eat well before getting a tattoo or carry something with you. 3. Research Your Heart Out © iStock Research thoroughly about your preferred design as well as the tattoo artist that you are planning to go for. Check their portfolio thoroughly and see if they have done something similar to what you’re looking for. Also, if you’re getting words or phrases tattooed, make sure they are spell-checked and are grammatically correct. You don’t want to become a walking meme. 4. A Pre-Tattoo Skincare Is Paramount © iStock Although often ignored, skincare is an essential part of getting a tattoo, both before & after the process. Moisturise and groom your skin at least a week before getting the tattoo. Also, make sure you’re using a good sunscreen as well, as it protects the skin from the sun. A good pre-care routine actually helps in healing quickly. 5. A Post-Tattoo Skincare Routine © iStock A skincare routine for after the process is important. It helps the tattoo to come out well, and also helps in longevity. Most importantly, it wards off the risk of infections. Ask your tattoo artist what exactly should you do, what kind of products do you need to use, and what all kinds of products to stay away from for a few days. 6. Some Areas Are Better Than Others © iStock There are a few areas and places that you ought to avoid. In general, the fingers and the palm of your hand is not exactly a good idea, because the ink doesn’t stay on those areas for a long time. Also, the bonier the area, the higher the pain, so if you have lower pain tolerance, avoid them. The best bet is to always go for fleshier parts. View the full article
  2. Shubman Gill finally got to make his international Test debut for the Indian cricket team during Day 1 of the second Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. However, it didn’t take long for him to see what the highest form of cricket looks like. As far as debut go, it cant get more intimidating as it currently for Shubman Gill Starc and Cummins at their absolute best #AusvInd — AayushKataria (@aayush11kataria) December 26, 2020Shubman Gill looks like he is confused between ICSE and CBSE playing Starc and Cummins. #AUSvIND — BitterSweetSymphony (@PluviophilePoet) December 26, 2020 Watching his opening batting partner Mayank Agarwal lose his wicket on a duck to a scary LBW delivery by Mitchell Starc, it was Gill’s moment to face the heat and he was met with blistering pace on a shiny new ball that flashed past him, and the 21-year-old couldn’t help but smile in amazement. Watching Starc and Cummins storm in and a class player like Pujara and raw energy of debutante Gill trying to brave the storm in the last 30 mins of the day! Nothing beats this BEAUTY OF TEST CRICKET#AusvsInd #INDvsAUS — Slash- FFW (@VelvetIsMushy_) December 26, 2020 On the final ball of the fifth over, Gill was blessed with beginner’s luck as well when Marnus Labuschagne dropped his catch on the third slip. Eventually, the First-Class cricket star composed himself and has hit some textbook shots, a few of them earning him phenomenal-looking boundaries as well. The nerve-wracking start to his batting innings has a lot of his fans biting their nails off their fingers: Boxing Day Test, World's no. 1 Test bowler, pitch doing something, horrible last Test for India, crowd buzzing and Shubman Gill is on strike. I am getting nervous sitting at home. — Harshit Anand (@imHarshitAnand) December 26, 2020Mayank Agrawal couldn't negate Starc's first over. Gone for the same score as Steve Smith. Will be a nervous start for Shubman Gill making his debut and he is facing the best Test bowler of 2020 - Pat Cummins. Great situations make great players. Come on Gill.#AUSvIND — Arvind Ramachander (@arvindia4u) December 26, 2020Won't be able to sleep as will be feeling so nervous and excited to see Shubman Gill playing. Is one whom I betted 2 years ago with my brother who betted on Prithwi Shaw. So hope his debut becomes as great as it was of Shaw https://t.co/MiiMruOKeN — Munda Bhuria Da🇮🇳🇮🇳 (@BhuriaDa) December 25, 2020 Gill’s debut comes after a long wait in the rafters, a solid performance during the practice matches and thanks to back-to-back disappointing performances by Prithvi Shaw at the top order. His innings, therefore, comes attached with a lot of promises and hopes, not just of the cricketer and his team but also of the millions of fans who are rooting for him from back home. 3. Ever since Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have made their relationship public, their fans have been waiting for them to tie the knot. There were strong rumours of the duo deciding to tie the knot this year-end but looks like fans will have to wait for longer. People have been continuously asking about their wedding and Alia has now broken her silence. She has spoken to Pinkvilla and declined the news of marriage anytime soon. View this post on Instagram "When will I marry? Why is everyone asking me when I'm going to get married? You know I'm only 25 years old, and I think it's too soon to get married right now," she told the website. With this revelation, fans have a final answer and they will have to wait to see their favourite couple walk down the aisle. Earlier, talking to Telegraph, Mahesh Bhatt had said, “Well, of course, they're in love. You don't need to be a genius to get that! What they do to their relationship is something they'll have to figure out. Whether it's heading towards that port called 'marriage' - which is an institution that needs to be questioned in the second decade of the 21st century - is something for them to figure out. I'm no one to hazard a guess when that would happen or which way the relationship is going. Its life and life needs to be lived on its own terms. Let's wait and see what tomorrow brings for us.” View this post on Instagram Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will be seen together for the first time on screen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. They reportedly began dating some time at the end of 2017, when they signed Brahmastra together. View the full article

It’s the last month of 2020 and the Coronavirus pandemic has ensured that the best part of the year has gone past without watching movies on silver screens and relishing our favourite popcorn flavours. *tch tch* Although, even with the collective dislike/hatred for the year, streaming platforms would see it as a profitable one thanks to a quantifiable spike in their user base.
