  1. Russian President Vladimir Putin is known to be the most powerful man in the world. So, naturally, you'd expect the world's most powerful man to earn more than pretty much every other political leader in the world, right? Well, if you go by the numbers posted on the Kremlin's official website, it's not really the case. According to the website, Vladimir Putin earned 8.7 million Rubles last year as the President of Russia, which roughly translates to about $135,000. Yes, that's apparently how much he made from his official salary, a military pension, interest on savings, and other investment gains. © Reuters That number, in case you are wondering, comes down to about $11,200 a month as Putin's average monthly income. Funnily enough, Putin's real property did not change from last year. According to the tax returns, he owns an apartment with an area of 77 square meters and a garage of 18 square meters. And among his official assets are two vintage Volga GAZ M21 sedans as well as a Niva SUV and a Skif tent trailer. Of course, no one's questioning Putin's net worth here. But as noted by the folks over at Quartz, something doesn't quite add up. Take his luxury watch collection, for instance. The collection alone is said to be valued at 22 million rubles i.e. roughly $3.5 million. His watch collections reportedly include pieces like a Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar, a Blancpain Leman Aqua Lung Grande Date, and a platinum A. Lange & Söhne Tourbograph, which are some of the finest timepieces in the world. © Reuters Looks like it's true what they say about Putin. He may never appear on Forbes' rich list, but his personal wealth is bigger than that of Bill Gates. There's no way to tell if the reports are true, so we'll let you read Putin's financial disclosure here.
  2. Spotify was launched in India barely six days ago and the music streaming app has already managed to make a small dent in the Indian music streaming space. Even though Spotify is in the middle of a legal battle with Warner Music, the company still managed to get a million users in less than a week. A representative from Spotify confirmed with The Verge about the streaming service's rapid success. © Spotify Spotify offers free music stream with ads and also offers a premium membership which is priced at Rs 129, its Rs 389 for 3 months, Rs 719 for 6 months and Rs 1189 for a year. The premium membership removes advertisements and enables users to skip songs without any limits. Even though Spotify has some missing content due to a legal battle, the streaming company is focusing on adding regional content which includes music from Bollywood. Other regional music includes content in languages such as Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu. © Reuters According to research firms Deloitte and IMI, India has about 150 million subscribers for music streaming services and is only set to grow in the near future. Many streaming services are bundled with mobile plans such as Airtel's Wink, Free Amazon Prime memberships and others. Spotify's entry into India has been late and will face tough competition from other services such as Apple Music, Google Pay, Gaana, JioSaavn and Amazon Prime. In order to undercut the competition, Spotify offers a free plan which lets everyone stream for free. However, the free plan limits carry advertisements just like how you would find it on YouTube. © Reuters Spotify is currently available on iOS and Android platforms, Windows 10 PCs, Android TV, Microsoft Xbox, Sony PlayStation, and macOS. Spotify also works with Google Home and Sonos natively, which is an added bonus for smart speaker owners. If you have Android Car or Apple CarPlay installed in your automobiles, Spotify also works natively on both auto platforms. At this time, Spotify will be available as apps for your smartphone and tablet (free download for Android and iOS), Windows 10 PCs, macOS computing devices, Android TV, Sony PlayStation, Microsoft Xbox and also available via the web browser. Spotify is also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in-car infotainment platforms. Source: The Verge
  3. Has it ever happened to you, that you got back home with your date after a romantic dinner, and as soon as you took off your shoes, your date fainted? Well we hope not (and that was a hyperbole), but trust us, nothing will kill your *** life and your social life in general faster than smelly feet. It's super unpleasant, and more importantly, extremely embarrassing. © Getty Images No one wants to experience that damp, musty odour coming from your socks. Most men don't know how to get rid of it, and whenever they seek help, there's usually a long list of things that are presented to them that are effective but time-consuming. But worry not, for we are here, and we have a super easy solution that will take less than a minute every day. © Getty Images One needs to understand that the main reason behind feet odour is the sweat they produce, and bacteria and fungus trapped inside shoes and socks thrive in that moist, warm environment. If one can find a way to take away that moisture, odour can be significantly reduced. The best way? The good old, always handy, talcum powder. © Getty Images Every day after taking a shower, make sure to dry your feet properly - especially the spaces between the toes and your nail corners. Once that is done, put some talcum powder/baby powder on your feet and spread it all around with your hands. Then wear a pair of clean socks (you can also spray some powder inside the socks before putting them on). Use some anti-bacterial or anti-fungal powder for amazing results. © Getty Images And voila! You'll notice a difference instantly. Of course, apart from this, you definitely cannot underestimate the importance of maintaining feet hygiene and always washing them properly. Try not covering your feet up all the time and wear open toed footwear if you suffer from it all the time.
  4. One annoying problem that almost every guy in India faces, and doesn't know how to deal with, is that of 'dark armpits'. The climate in India is so tricky, that along with the pollution and temperature fluctuation, it gives rise to dark, unattractive underarms - irrespective of your overall complexion (not that colour/shade is important, it's just the conspicuous unevenness that's the issue). The result? Even if you're jacked, you're hesitant to wear sleeveless vests and racer-backs - even in the gym! Now, that's not fair. But worry not, for we have the perfect home remedies that will get rid of your dark armpits and lighten them up in less than 2 weeks. 1. Use coconut and almond oil © Getty Images One of the most important reasons why people get dark underarms is because they don't moisturize the area. Yes, the general consensus is that it's already hot, and that area is already damp with sweat, so there is no need to moisturize it. It's a huge misconception, and that also gives rise to less blood flow in that area, thereby causing dark, undernourished skin. Start massaging the area with coconut and almond oils at least once a day (preferably right after a shower), to see visible differences in the skin colour within 2 weeks. 2. Exfoliate with sugar © Getty Images More often than not, dry skin accumulated in your armpits result in the patchy, dark skin spots. You need to exfoliate your underarms to get rid of it and get an even complexion. The best way is to use sugar. Take some white/brown sugar, and mix it with a little bit of olive oil. Use the paste to exfoliate your underarms for a couple of minutes, and leave it on for about 5 minutes or so. Wash it off with water. 3. Use a lightening agent like lemon © Getty Images Lemon/lemon juice is a natural skin lightening agent. Cut a lemon in half, and use rub it against your underarm skin for a white. Leave it on for a bit, and wash it off with water. Try them for 2 weeks, and get rid of your dark underarms. You're welcome!
  5. If we go down the whole inclusive narrative (which is the correct thing to do tbh), all smiles are beautiful. However, anyone who denies that they have not desired pearl-white teeth at some point or the other in their life, they're simply lying. White teeth are attractive not only because of their aesthetic appeal, they are also an indicator of good dental hygiene, which is in fact a desirable thing. Keeping that in mind, we have listed out 5 super effective home remedies that will help one get visibly whiter teeth in less than a month's time. 1. Oil Pulling © Shine365 Oil pulling is done by taking a teaspoonful of oil in your mouth, swishing it around for 15-20 minutes, and then spitting it out. It's an ancient technique that detoxifies your body, starting with the mouth. 2. Drinking less tea/coffee and quitting smoking © Yournewswire Quitting smoking will considerably decrease nicotine staining. Excessive consumption of coffee, tea, and strong dark sodas also stain your teeth, the effects of which can be long term. Everyone should make a conscious attempt to avoid these food items. 3. Brushing with baking soda © Orawellness Baking soda has natural whitening properties, and is a natural abrasive. Plus, it helps in creating an alkaline environment in your mouth, thereby restricting bacterial growth. All of these result in whiter teeth. 4. Eating fruits like apple, papaya, and pineapple © Health and Mind Care Enzymes found in these fruits will naturally help whiten your teeth, on regular consumption. 5. Brushing and flossing © Markham Dental Centre This one seems basic, but it's the most important step. Teeth staining happen mainly because of food stuck in your mouth for a long time. Brush properly (with vertical movement for your front teeth in a way that cleans the crevices) twice and day, and never go to bed without brushing post dinner. Flossing once a day will make sure food is not stuck in between your teeth, and will also take care of excess plaque.

  7. While all of us want to be stylish and fashion-forward, it can be a bit challenging for those of us who happen to be on a budget. And considering how most young Indian men always tend to be either cash-strapped or running over their budget, this can make things a bit discouraging and demoralising for them. But wanting to look your stylish and modish best should never be dependent on how much you make, and so to help all budget-sensitive men out there, here are 5 fashion staples that you could actually own for less than Rs 2000. 1) A Pair Of Kickass Sneakers © Official Instagram/ Vicky Kaushal For those of us who happen to be on a budget, owning a pair of kickass sneakers ends up becoming especially challenging.
