  1. Actor Anil Kapoor penned a heart-warming farewell post for his brother-like friend Rishi Kapoor, who left for his heavenly abode on Thursday. In his heartfelt tribute addressed to James, a nickname he had given to Rishi, while he was called Patton by him, he wrote on his Twitter account, âTo my Dear James, I donât know where to begin...from growing up, to living our dreams on screen, we were together through it all... you were like an elder brother to me, a shoulder when I needed the support, a mentor when I needed that push and a friend always.â pic.twitter.com/p5IdXdw3wk â Anil Kapoor (@AnilKapoor) April 30, 2020 âThank you for the endless love you gave my family & me. You were like a son to my mother and you knew that Krishna aunty was always like a mother to me... Along with everything that you were for your friends & family, you were a beacon of inspiration for cinema lovers everywhere... I will miss you everyday...nothing will be the same without you...but I will celebrate your life like you wanted us to,â he added. Anil signed off as, âYour Patton Forever.â James and Patton are the nicknames by which the childhood companions and later co-stars fondly addressed each other, however they never revealed the origins of the names. The 67-year-old veteran actor Rishi Kapoor died on Thursday after a two-year battle with leukaemia. âHe is no more. He has passed away,â his elder brother Randhir told PTI. The picture was originally tweeted by Rishi Kapoor in 2019 and features Rishi and Anil as well as Anil's older brother Boney, Rishi's cousin Aditya Raj and producer Tutu Sharma. For those who may not know why we address each other "Patton"and "James"-this goes back to our earlier days in our careers https://t.co/MbeSiZWC2e â Rishi Kapoor (@chintskap) September 4, 2017 Rishi and Anil co-starred in films like 1988's Vijay and 1993's Gurudev. Interestingly, their careers also followed similar trajectories as both began as romantic heroes, graduated to more dramatic roles and only got better with age. After Rishi's death on Thursday, the Kapoors said in a statement that the actor "would like to be remembered with a smile and not with tears." Anil Kapoor mentioned he will be doing just that. Rishi Kapoor was last seen in 2019 film The Body and Jhootha Kahin Ka. His future project, which was meant to happen, was with Deepika Padukone in a Bollywood adaptation of The Intern. 2. As the coronavirus crisis grapple us all hard, we all have been advised to stay at home. People all across the globe are becoming creative and learning some super amazing tricks to pass their time while dealing with social distancing. View this post on Instagram@kapilsharma may have hit the bullâs eye in the world of comedy but did you know he can sing too and this video of him singing is a proof! . . . . . #kapilsharmafan #kapilsharma #kapilsharmajoke #kapilsharmashowð #kapilsharmafans #kapilsharmacomedy #kapilsharmajokes #kapilsharmafc #kapilsharmashow #KapilSharmaSinging #bollywoodfashion #bollywoodlife #bollywoodlove #bollywoodstyle #bollywoodstylefile #bollywoodupdates #instantbollywood #instantbollywoodfashion #igersA post shared by (@ibollyworld) Recently, TV star Kapil Sharma also took to Instagram to entertain his fans amid lockdown. It's a known fact that Kapil is a well-known comedian of India and his acts are one of the most reliable ways to stay sane during the lockdown. This time, instead of making a rib-tickling act, he resorted to singing soulful Punjabi songs that included the very famous song Kamli by Gurdaas Mann. Not just that, what shook us is that he was playing the song with a harmonium. Unbelievable, right? © Instagram/Mika Singh © Instagram/Mika Singh Not just Kapil, but even Mika Singh took to Instagram and posted several stories of the jamming session. Since they both live in the same building and this seems like the best way to show off their Punjabi side, they both sang straight from their hearts and literally made us miss the outside world. The hashtag #QuarantinePunjabi is now becoming a rage. © Instagram/Mika Singh Both Mika and Kapil have organised such jamming sessions together with other singers like Richa Sharma and Kanika Kapoor as well. Just within a few minutes of posting this video, it was flooded with several positive comments. © Instagram/Mika Singh Besides all the fun, most of the people from Bollywood have come forward and made several donations to the PM relief fund. The comedian also announced the same and donated Rs 50 Lakh to help the country fight the pandemic. © IMDB It sure looks like a great treat and seems to be the best way to stay sane during the pandemic. But in the end, it is also making us want to step out and enjoy some daaru, while we listen to some Punjabi hits with our bros. View the full article
  3. 2020 truly marks the end of an era. Among other things, this is the year when we see two of the most iconic car manufacturers shut their operations in India. Both Mitsubishi and Fiat are bowing out of the fiercely competitive automotive market that India is. Even though both of these car manufacturers are engineering and commercial powerhouses when it comes to cars, the uncertainty and paradoxical nature of the Indian automotive market has dealt the final blow to these manufacturers. © Fiat This is the year when all new cars that will start plying on Indian roads have to comply with BS-VI. Both, Fiat's as well as Mitsubishi's automotive departments had been ailing with slipping sales and the churn that the Indian automobile industry was going through. © iStock Both of these manufacturers have given us some of the most iconic, and aspirational cars for the petrolheads of this generation. The Premier Padmini, or Fiat Premiere as it was also known, taught us how great and cool cars could be, in the 1960s. The Mitsubishi Pajero was instrumental in developing the notion that off-roading cars could be luxurious and fairly affordable. © Wiki Commons Here are five cars, from both of these manufacturers that proved to be iconic for the Indian petrolhead. Mitsubishi Lancer © Wiki Commons We have to start with the Mitsubishi Lancer, simply because of how iconic the car was. In India, you could only get your hands on the top variant, which came with that iconic spoiler. Furthermore, you could only get your hands on one if you were really well off, and had some really good connections. Depending on the year you bought the car, you would get a slightly different front grill; although we loved how understated the car was, some of the styling aspects were ahead of its time. As for the performance, it does look dated today, but for the early 2000s, this was a rocket ship on wheels. Fiat Punto Evo © Fiat There were a number of variants of the Punto that we got to see over the years. Be it the first, original, unadulterated one, or the most recent one, the Avventura, all of them were actually good cars. However, the Evo was a little bit special. It had marginally better handling than the closest competitor, it certainly was a thing to behold. For city roads, it was the perfect car - light, nimble and quick to accelerate. On the highways, it was stable at high speeds and powerful enough for some spirited driving. The only reason it did not sell that well, because of its pricing, and the fact that by the time it was launched, Fiat was already in a downward economic spiral. Mitsubishi Pajero © Mitsubishi There was no way this one did not make it to the list. Simply put, this was the most iconic car from the bunch. There was no mountain high enough, neither a valley deep enough that the Pajero couldn't drive over if it was paired with a skilful driver. Although the refreshed version did not impress even the most ardent fans of the Pajero, people will still recall this one, when asked about the most iconic SUV that was seen on Indian roads. Fiat Abarth 595 © Fiat The Abarth 595 was limited to a very few numbers in India and for good reasons. At almost Rs 30 Lakhs a piece, this was by no means a car that made fiscal sense. However, from purely a driver's and an enthusiast's perspective, this was a bargain. You would get a sportscar like performance and handling, in the size of a small hatchback and the price of a luxury sedan. The Abarth 595 was powerful, nimble, and could accelerate like a stabbed rabbit. This was a car that India was simply not ready for. Fiat Linea © Fiat The Linea was an unlucky car in a number of ways. It was sporty enough, handled well, was spacious and well equipped, and in its segment, was one of the most luxurious offerings. However, it was way more expensive than it should have been, and because of Fiat's issues with after-sales services, the car never really got the chance it deserved. Although Mitsubishi is completely out of the automotive market in India for now, Fiat's parent company, FCA, or Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India will continue to operate and will continue with the Jeep brand of cars. 4. Right from film shoots to the new movies releases, everything came to a standstill amidst the coronavirus lockdown. Every activity has been halted in India, and it has been a while now since we have been quarantining. If it has affected us, it has also affected B-town celebrities who are also in self-isolation currently which means that even the paparazzi world has stopped taking pictures during the lockdown. With airports, gyms and studios being shut, the destinations for paparazzi pictures are all empty. In the midst of all this, we decided to do a throwback of our favourite celebrity pictures that are making us miss the paps big time. 1. Ranveer Singh in a purple coat © Viral Bhayani Ranveer Singh tops our list of paparazzi pictures and by now, we all know how he is all about being extra and over the top. Even the paps never miss a chance to take his pictures. From his bizarre outfits to shoes, his sartorial choices are unmatched. This one picture garnered a lot of attention with the purple overcoat that looked like a bubble wrap and shoes that were overly long. Can't wait for Ranveer and the paps to step out, honestly! 2. Asim Riaz spotted in oversized sneakers © Viral Bhayani Asim is a new face on the paparazzi block since his stint in Bigg Boss 13. He had already garnered all the attention on the show and is now also on the paparazzi's list of getting clicked every time he steps out. Before the lockdown was announced, Asim was photographed wearing a zany pair of sneakers that had an exaggerated sole. The pictures were so crisp that we went ahead and scoured the details of his outfit. Well done, paps! 3. Shahid Kapoor before the lockdown © Viral Bhayani Shahid Kapoor was busy shooting for his upcoming movie Jersey which has also come to a standstill due to the outbreak of the novel virus. His last airport stint was quite impressive where he was spotted motivating people to make use of masks and sanitisers. The airport arena used to be a major source for paps to click celebrities and even that has been suspended to control the spread of the virus. 4. Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra around the holi party © Viral Bhayani If the paps wouldn't have clicked pictures, we wouldn't have been able to give you any insider infp into what these celebrities are wearing. Having said that, spotting a watch on a celebrity is a task, but not when we have well-clicked images. Nick Jonas was last spotted while heading back to the US with Priyanka Chopra where we saw him sporting his Rolex which was worth Rs 29 Lakh. Would all this be possible without our paps? Not at all. 5. Saif Ali Khan movie promotions © Viral Bhayani Not just airport pictures, but we miss pictures of celebrities during promotions of their movies. This is from the time when Saif Ali Khan was promoting Jawaani Jaaneman. Besides his on-screen humour, this impeccable actor is also known for his fashion game and this ensemble is a perfect example to show you what we mean. Acing the baggy trend is not a cakewalk, but Saif can do it with panache. Don't you agree? 6. Arjun Kapoor sweating out wearing expensive pyjama © Viral Bhayani For a lot of people, the biggest setback of this lockdown is that there's no access to gyms as well. Hence, even celebrities are opting to work out at home, with the help of their instructors. These areas were also a hub for the paparazzi to spot celebrities post their workout sesh. Here's one from the time we spotted Arjun Kapoor post-workout, where he was seen wearing super expensive pyjamas. We have to admit, the gym pictures were quite entertaining for us! 7. Maniesh Paul running errands © Viral Bhayani If they have papped celebrities in their most fashionable avatar, there have been times when they have spotted in their natural element. Maniesh Paul is known for acing super relaxed silhouettes and overly chunky sneakers. Even though he is super candid in front of the camera and doesn't soak up all the attention, we actually miss scouring the sneakers he used to wear, courtesy paps clicking clear pictures. 5. In the past few years, the trend of growing a long, thick beard grew massively and it has become an ultimate style statement. A full beard, easily adds more to your debonair and is one of the easiest ways to make a statement in today's time. Now, if you are something of an experimental, here's a thought. A long, luscious beard can also start looking normcore and if this thought has ever run in your head, maybe it's time you dipped your toes into something more innovative and zany. Read on to find out the hottest beard styles of 2020 that are reigning the industry at the moment: 1. BeardstacheThis beard falls in between a full beard and stubble and this hybrid is one of the styles that you must add to your list. It oozes complete suaveness if it is maintained the right way. It's fun and shows off the experimental side. Another best thing is that it's lightweight and a great summer style beard. © Getty Images The style works on most face shapes and gives a prominent shape to your chin. What you need to do is use a trimmer and keep the hair on the cheeks and chin in a stubble, putting more emphasis on the moustache. Use a moustache comb to shape it well. 2. The Short Beard © Instagram/Isha Bhansali Nothing beats the classic and a short beard, being a dialled-down version is another alternative that breaks the monotony. A neatly trimmed one is the way to go that will help you downplay your features. Once you have grown out your beard, eliminate the whiskers and try to keep it synced. For a healthier beard, don't forget to massage it with beard oil. 3. Short Hair & Full Grown Beard © Instagram/Ram Charan A full-grown beard could be a task of maintenance but this one raises the style quotient when coupled with short hair. Guys with oval faces have an innate sense to rock this one while others, with a little bit of trimming, will flatter other face types as well. Make sure you trim when your beard is dry, that way you will know where to smoothen the edges correctly. 4. Extended Goatee © Getty images The style where goatee and moustache are combined is an extended goatee. This can be achieved once you have let your beard grow out. Shave the sideburns and do it as per your face shape. This one is most ideal for men with the oval and square face shape. Many celebrities have also sported this beard trend, and we have to say it is truly head-turning. 5. The Unkempt Beard © Getty images While this beard trend can raise eyebrows, it is certainly one of the best ways to look rugged. If done right, this beard style has the full potential to swoon people. All you need to do give your beard a massage in an outward manner. Just keep in mind, that this one is best suited for people with the round or oval face shape. If you have one, flaunt it! View the full article

  9. Ever since 2004, the Saw series has been synonymous with torture-porn, grisly moral experiments and bringing R-Rated, no-holds barred violence back in vogue for horror fans across the globe. The series has gone on to become one of the genre's most successful franchises of all time. Off a collective budget of $77 million, the films have gone on to rake in nearly $1 billion at the box office, adjusted for inflation. That's not to say that things didn't go stale - after Saw 3D released in 2010, the series suffered a 7-year gap before Jigsaw, a reboot of sorts, which appealed primarily to longtime fans. With the 9th film, titled The Organ Donor under works, this begs the question - after 8 films, what does it take to make the series interesting again? According to comedian Chris Rock, the answer might be comedy. Speaking to IGN, Rock was quoted saying, “A lot of times I go to a movie or I watch a TV show and I go: 'Wow, you know, two jokes would have made a big difference in that.' I love Saw, but I was like: 'Wow, it has almost no humor at all”. There's a point to be made there. The series has always been clear and upfront about its intentions to revolt and simultaneously fascinate its audience with its elaborately designed death-traps, yet its characters seem to do little other than what is expected of them. Rock took this idea quite seriously, and penned down a story idea which he then pitched to Lionsgate Films. The studio approved of it immediately - “Completely reverential to the legacy of the material while reinvigorating the brand with his wit, creative vision and passion for this classic horror franchise,” commented Lionsgate CEO Joe Drake. That sounds good, doesn't it? It still pales in comparison to what the studio did next - in a move that no one saw coming, they managed to bring in someone we never expected to be part of the franchise - Samuel L. Jackson himself. The veteran actor is famous for portraying fearless badasses on screen - the kind of character the series was desperately missing, and which may pair well alongside Rock's comedic intentions. Rock will reportedly star as a police officer on the trail of a potentially new killer, with Samuel L. Jackson appearing as his father. While some longtime fans might be doubtful of jokes making it into an otherwise serious franchise, Rock suggests that on the edit table, things are still very much as Jigsaw would have it. “The new Saw, I've seen like a rough cut,” shared Rock. “It's still Saw… it's bloody, it's gory, but there's like a sprinkling of humor here and there. We're not revamping it, it's not Scary Movie, it's Saw.” Whatever happens, there will be blood. The film makes its way into cinemas on May 15, 2020. View the full article
  10. You know what's the best movie to watch? The movie that everyone wants to boycott before it has even released, that too for unrelated reasons. We already knew Chhapaak was going to be one of the most important movies of the year just because of the highly crucial story it is based on. However, just a few days before its release, the movie is already surrounded by so many controversies with calls for boycott just because some people didn't like something Deepika Padukone did. Well, all I want to say after reading the first reactions to the movie is you all are going to miss out on a great movie with this boycott. 11. The English pace bowler is to miss out on the final two Tests in South Africa after suffering a rib injury. Photo: AFPEngland pace bowler James Anderson will miss the final two Tests in South Africa after suffering a rib injury during their dramatic victory in Cape Town. Anderson sustained the problem on the final day of the second Test and MRI scans on Wednesday confirmed he won´t be back in action until after the current tour. It is a bitter blow for the 37-year-old, who was just two games into his comeback following the calf injury he endured in last summer´s Ashes series. Anderson, England´s record Test wicket taker, spent almost five months working back to full fitness and showed signs of being back to his best with seven wickets in England´s series-levelling 189-run win. But he was in visible discomfort on the final day, clutching his side at times and grimacing through two painful overs after tea. "James Anderson has been ruled out of the remainder of the Test series against South Africa after sustaining a left rib injury in England´s second Test victory at Newlands," an ECB statement said. "Anderson felt tightness and discomfort at the end of the morning session on day five and was only able to bowl eight overs during the day. He will return to the UK in the next few days." Anderson tweeted: "Frustrating to be missing the rest of this series with a broken rib but hopefully will be healed in a few weeks! Will be supporting the boys from home." Anderson´s tally of 584 Test scalps makes him the most prolific seamer in Test history, while his appearance in the Boxing Day Test at Centurion saw him become just the ninth man to win 150 Test caps. England were already giving consideration to sparing Anderson a thankless job on the spin-friendly pitches during their forthcoming tour of Sri Lanka. But the issue has been taken out of the selectors´ hands, with a bone-related injury likely to require around two months of recovery work. With that in mind, Anderson may now focus on getting ready for the English season, with a view to becoming just the fourth man in history to take 600 Test wickets after Muttiah Muralitharan, Shane Warne and Anil Kumble. Somerset seamer Craig Overton will remain with the group having originally arrived as illness cover, but England should also have pace duo Jofra Archer and Mark Wood back in contention for next week´s third Test at Port Elizabeth.
  12. State Bank of Pakistan. Photo: File KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Monday said during the first quarter of current fiscal year FY-20, Pakistan's economy moved progressively along the adjustment path, however, inflation reached the highest level during the last seven years, reported The News. The central bank in its report said Pakistan’s economic growth was unlikely to meet the target of four per cent this fiscal, due to soft trends in agriculture and manufacturing production. The SBP also advised the government to address structural vulnerabilities to put the economy on a sustainable growth trajectory. Read more: SBP maintains interest rate at 13.25 percent Performance of commodity-producing sectors would likely remain subdued, the SBP said in its report. “In view of these developments, achieving the real GDP growth target of four per cent appears unlikely,” the SBP said. The central bank’s report spelt out in sharp detail the challenges being faced by the economy including mismatch related to exports quantum and earnings, delays in implementation of tax measures and weak management in food prices. Read also: Inflation jumps to near eight years high of 12.67pc on food cost “Most of the improvement in the current account has come from a reduction in the country’s import bill; exports have yet to contribute significantly, as healthy quantum gains are not supported by price trends,” the SBP said. Furthermore, while the drawdown in foreign exchange reserves has been reversed, the overall reserves position remains below the comfort level (in terms of import coverage). The report further highlighted that the average headline consumer price index (CPI) inflation reached 11.5 per cent in Q1-FY-20, extending the steep upward trend persistent since the beginning of FY-19. Not only this level was double the inflation observed in the same quarter last year, but it was also the highest level of quarterly inflation since Q4-FY-12.

Can you recall the easy flow of conversation the two of you unlocked, the way your responses became unguarded and you ended up discovering so much about your manager - the person, and not the boss? © Hotstar The realisation is almost unsettling. It reminds us there is so much that people don't let on in a professional setting and all it takes, is moving away from the walls that bind you, and tag you by your title and job profile. No matter how rare the occasion may have been, you really cannot negate the fact that (in most cases) the personal side of your boss isn't as detestable as the boss you report to at work. Hain na? Well, we hope so. But even if you haven't been blessed with such good luck in your current organisation, you might still want to sneak up on your boss to squeeze in a sutta break with him every chance you get and here's why. © Yash Raj Films According to the findings of a research conducted by the National Bureau of Economic Research, men have a greater chance than women of getting a raise and promotion when they share a smoke with their male managers. Though the same may not work in your favour if your manager happens to be a woman. Sucks, we know. Given how the infamous concept of 'Old Boys' Club' functions, most men tend to cash-in on it by sharing a smoke (or rather a light, informal interaction that follows those few drags) with their boss. The underlying logic at work here is that managers tend to favour fellow male proteges who are similar to them. © Hotstar If smoking a cigarette (or rather going on a smoke break) with your boss can change your life to that extent and offer you better prospects at work in terms of making that big jump with ease, then, of course, we will share those insights with you. However, let's be clear that we are in no way recommending you start smoking just to go on smoke-breaks with your boss and get that next promotion quickly. Of course, a lot depends on your personal calibre and achievements, and many of us really do depend on just that to help us climb up the ladder. © Yash Raj Films Besides, it is also most definitely true that this 'hack' wouldn't work on many managers who only promote people who deserve it, with or without the smoke breaks. But then again, this is just that - a hack to get that promotion faster. And just like it is the case with every 'hack' out there, it may or may not work for you. But if there is a chance that it might work in your favour, it is definitely worth a try, isn't it? We thought this was worth sharing with you guys, but feel free to let us know your thoughts on this. View the full article

Arhaan entered the house with a lot of high hopes but was in there only for a short duration. Before entering the show, Arhaan said in an interview with Indian Express, “It was all baseless rumours. We are just great friends and nothing else. Rashami has denied it and I am also saying that there is no truth to those stories. I am single. I am not in a mood to romance in the show. 16. For a cricketer who led India to new heights in international cricket, Mahendra Singh Dhoni might have reached the twilight of his illustrious career, but his absence, amid an ongoing sabbatical, has clearly left a void in the national team. He may no longer be the finisher we once knew and even as his age is catching up with him, there is little doubt over his glovework behind the stumps. His unorthodox style of wicketkeeping, just like his batting, has allowed him to be labelled as one of the most effective and street-smart keepers in the world. So much so, that even as the Indian selectors seem to have moved on to grooming young Rishabh Pant as his possible successor behind the stumps, Dhoni continues to be missed on the field. During the second Twenty20 International (T20I) between India and Bangladesh, the absence of Dhoni behind the stumps was rued, not only by the Indian team but also by the cricket fans. During the sixth over of the Bangladesh innings at Rajkot, leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and Team India were denied a certain wicket thanks to over-excited Pant's stumping blunder. Chahal's brilliant delivery turned sharply from the middle-stump and completely deceived Bangladesh opener Liton Das, who found himself stranded outside the crease after coming down the pitch. #RishabhPant messes up !! ð¤¦ð»‍âï¸ð¤¦ð»‍âï¸ð¤¦ð»‍âï¸ pic.twitter.com/3rEVqnNG7Z — Nishant Barai (@barainishant) November 7, 2019 But, what was supposed to be an easy stumping, eventually turned into a no-ball as Pant collected the ball just before the stumps. The stumping was referred to the third umpire and the replays highlighted that Pant's gloves were not behind the stumps before he collected the ball and whipped the bails off. According to MCC's rule, 27.3 on wicketkeeping, the keeper shall remain wholly behind the wicket at the striker's end from the moment the ball comes into play until a ball delivered by the bowler. Sadly, Pant needed a reminding of that rule - one that he eventually learnt the hard way, as Indian cricket fans took the youngster to task on social media. @RishabhPant17 #INDvBAN Audience waiting for Rishabh pant to do wicket keeping like Dhoni. pic.twitter.com/crS5sIFN2Y — Debasish (@DebaDBhaduri) November 8, 2019 Me after seeing Rishabh Pant keep'ng in #INDvBAN T20I Series.#IndvsBan pic.twitter.com/8juWK6HGww — Liberal_Indian ð®ð³ (@GopalCh28653657) November 8, 2019 Rishabh Pant's gloves are like subtitles in a pirated movie. After restricting the visitors to 153/6, Rohit played a captain's knock, a 43-ball 85, and was adequately supported by Shikhar Dhawan (31) and Shreyas Iyer (24) to help the hosts level the three-match series 1-1. Eyeing a series win, India and Bangladesh will now lock horns in the third and final T20I at the Vidarbha Cricket Association stadium in Nagpur on 10th November. View the full article

  20. MCUs two favourite characters, Iron Man and Spider-Man have always been a fan favourite and the two share a strong bond both onscreen and off-screen. Robert Downey Jr doesn't just mentor Tom Holland, but looks out for him like a friend and a father figure, just like how Iron Man or Tony Stark did for Spider-Man/Peter Parker, and the fans love the very basic and fun chemistry they share. (c)Twitter Tom Holland aka Peter Parker aka Spider-Man, recently turned 23 View this post on Instagram ITS MY BIRTHDAY AND ANNOUNCEMENT DAY! #thebrotherstrust A post shared by âï¸ (@tomholland2013) on Jun 1, 2019 at 3:30am PDT And his 'Avengers: Endgame' co-star, Mr Downey, took to Twitter to wish him a very happy birthday, with the sweetest message ever possible. The message to him was so warm and fuzzy, he should have ended it with an 'I love you 3000'. But here's what he actually said in his Tweet: "@TomHolland1996 from 'Underoos' to overlord, it's been a thrill to watch you rise, and we're all pretty darned glad u were born." @TomHolland1996 from “Underoos” to overlord, it's been a thrill to watch you rise, and we're all pretty darned glad u were born pic.twitter.com/VGDIMfP8uL — Robert Downey Jr (@RobertDowneyJr) 1 June 2019 Seems like the actor has as much fondness for him off-screen, as Tony Stark had for Peter Parker on screen, because this is exactly what Tony would have said to the Peter as well, perhaps. 22. The wait has finally ended. Winter came at 6:30 am IST on Hotstar, with the 'Game of Thrones' Season 8 premiere airing after more than 500 days since last season concluded. Almost all living characters got screen time as multiples storylines seem to be coming together for one last time.' Please don't read any further if you haven't watched the episode yet, as this post contains heavy spoilers. As usual, there was death, there was *** and there certainly were dragons. Whitewalkers remained out of sight but did send some strong messages. The internet, no wonder, was abuzz with multiple theories, predictions and memes. But one particular Reddit user called DukeOfTheVines drew parallels between the pilot of the first season and the latest Season 8 instalment. Here it goes: “The opening shot of the King/Queen arriving with the same music” According to the redditor, the same track plays in the background of Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen's arrival in Winterfell as to the one at the time of Robert Baratheon's entrance in Season 1 Episode 1. © HBO The tunes do bear resemblance, and why not? The Iranian-German composer Ramin Djawadi, who had composed 'The King's Arrival' in the show's debut season, has returned to lend tunes to the final one as well. “Arya being a kid watching the King coming vs her letting a kid get a good view of the Queen coming” Arya Stark is shown rejoicing at her brother (not by blood anymore) Jon Snow's return. The duo was thick as thieves while growing up and has reunited after their lives have come full circle. In fact the 'girl with no name' still carries the sword (Needle) that Jon gave her as a kid. © HBO “Both episodes ending with Bran and Jamie, except this time Jamie looks scared” This has to be my favourite scene from the season. A cloaked Jamie Lannister arrives on a horse to Winterfell only to find Bran Stark, now the greenseer and also the boy who Jamie pushed out from a tower, waiting for him. You can actually feel the fear in Jamie's eyes at the sight. © HBO “Both episodes have amputated limbs from the white walkers spread out in a gory way to send a message” The heir of Hosue Umber, Ned was found decapitated with limbs all around him in this episode. Remember the first ever GoT episode where the White Walkers make their first "artwork" and create a symbol in the snow using the dismembered body parts of the slaughtered wildlings? “In the pilot, Cersi and Catelyn Stark talk about their kids possibly getting married while looking at them from a distance, while in this episode Varys, Tyrion, and Davos talk about Dany and Jon getting married while looking at them from a distance” While the idea of Jon and Dany's potential romance is exciting (and really not taboo considering the incestuous history of House Lannister), the foreboding metaphor in the episode is 'nothing lasts forever.' Let's see how this one goes, especially after Sam's conversation with Jon (or Aegon?). “The kid from the beginning was climbing on trees to get a good view, similar to Bran climbing the castle to get a good view. He also looked similar to Bran in the Pilot” Will the kid also end up losing limbs? “In the Pilot, all the shots of Winterfell showed the grass but now it's all snow” Winter has come? Other interesting observations made by Redditors: /u/Itsgreenarrow: Also S1E1 Ned's farewell to Jon he says “the next time we see each other, We will talk about your mother. I promise.” Then S8E1 while Jon is staring at Ned's tomb Sam tell him about his parents /u/friggindiggin: First episode Jon is distraught over his identity crisis as a bastard. This episode Jon is distraught over his identity crisis as a king. /u/enfinnity: The brothel scene with Bron is similar to Tyrion's first scene /u/JaqueStrap69: Also Jon asking Sansa "Where's Arya?" When he arrived, just like Ned asking "Where's Arya?" /u/ChavaF1: The current ruler of Winterfell saying “Winterfell is yours” to the arriving monarch /u/sarahj2010: Also loved the line from Robert Baratheon in the pilot to Ned 'I have a son, you have a daughter, we shall join our houses'. It's gotta be Arya and Gendry. /u/SaiyanAintSo: Also Sansa being more than wary of Dany, much like Catelyn was of Cersei. She really seemed like her mother in that meet and greet. © HBO /u/Dualstack: Also Robert asking Ned to be his hand in the crypts kind of similar to Sam telling Jon he is king in the crypts /u/Skeetronic: Don't forget Cersei putting out to someone she's not 'loyal' to But isn't that the norm for Cersei? What were your big observations from the premiere5? Let us know in the comments.
  23. 'God of War' was one phenomenal game and it became one of our all-time favourites for various reasons. We reviewed the game when it released, and ever since then GoW has been winning major awards for 'Game of the Year'. Having said that, one of the most reputed academies, that is, 'The British Academy Games Awards' also awarded the game of the same time along with five other wins for the game. It managed to beat 'Red Dead Redemption II' which is not a small feat as Rockstar's game also got high acclaim. © Sony Santa Mocia The game won awards for the best Narrative, Audio Achievement, Performer (Jeremy Davies as The Strang) and Music. Other games like “Return Of The Obra Dinn” also won awards for Best Game Design and Artistic Achievement. Nintendo Labo won awards for best game innovations and Family game. Forza Horizon 4 won the award for best British Game, while flawed but interesting co-op game whereas A Way Out won the multiplayer award. © Sony Santa Mocia 'God of War' is a visual masterpiece paired with some awesome music score to give the player a complete cinematic experience. Visually, the game looks beautiful on PlayStation 4 Pro and is probably one of the best looking games we've played this generation. The narrative felt compelling and enjoyable for the majority of the time and has managed to incorporate an addictive and satisfying combat system. God of War is an excellent action-adventure game that incorporates a great cinematic experience every God of War fan should experience.
  24. In early January 2019, it was announced that a biopic on our Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in the works. It was also revealed that actor Vivek Oberoi would be seen essaying the titular role in the film titled 'PM Narendra Modi'. 'PM Narendra Modi' biopic will narrate PM Modi's journey from his humble beginnings, to his rise as the Prime Minister of India, and it has been reported that the film will be released in 23 Indian languages. © Legend Global Studio The makers of the film recently released the 'PM Narendra Modi' trailer and all throughout the trailer launch, the makers and actors of the biopic had just one thing to say, “Modi hai, toh mumkin hai”. While it is understood that the movie traces PM Modi's journey, the trailer also gives us an insight into more private and not-so-public aspects of PM Modi that a lot of us might be unaware of. Whitewashing or not, the trailer did do a fine job of capturing our complete attention and left us craving for the complete picture. © Legend Global Studio Here are the 5 most important moments from 'PM Narendra Modi' trailer: 1. 'PM Narendra Modi' trailer gave us a glimpse into PM Modi's childhood, his tryst with selling tea, his stand on patriotism, his days during RSS training, as well as the time when he decided to leave everything behind and become a sanyasi in order to learn the meaning of life and his purpose. © Legend Global Studio 2. The trailer nicely follows the transition of Modi from his years of association with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh as a Sevak, his extensive tenure as Gujarat CM and moving on to BJP's clean swipe during the Lok Sabha elections in 2014. There is a promise of deeper insights in those recreations. 3. 'PM Narendra Modi' trailer also touches upon one of the most sensational aspects of PM Modi's life - the 2002 Gujarat riots. He is shown to be rescuing Muslims and taking personal initiatives related to the 2002 attack on the Akshardham temple. © Legend Global Studio 4. PM Modi's version of nationalism is loud and clear in the trailer, wherein at one point it is shown that he places the nation above any religion, as he salutes the Indian flag. 5. The trailer presents PM Modi's stand against terrorism pretty clearly and it finds a voice in the trailer more than once. The trailer also tries to bring in an element of gender equality when we hear PM Modi say, “jab tak iss desh ki mahilayen majboor hain, yeh desh kabhi majboot nahi ho sakta.” © Legend Global Studio 'PM Narendra Modi' directed by Omung Kumar of 'Mary Kom' and 'Sarbjit' fame will release on April 5, just a week before the beginning of the General Elections on April 11.
  25. Super-Dad Rohit Sharma was on a flight back home as soon as the news of his wife Ritika Sajdeh being blessed with a baby daughter reached his ears. The news broke out within hours of Team India registering the second win of the four-match series in Melbourne on Sunday. The batsman seemed overjoyed about becoming a father in an interview with retired Australian cricketer, Michael Clarke, before the 3rd Test. "I cannot wait to be a father; it is going to be a game-changing moment in our lives,” Sharma told Clarke. “I am eagerly awaiting the moment of becoming a father. It will be a moment to change our life.” https://t.co/EsLEjyDuI0 We are so happy for you guys @ImRo45 @ritssajdeh â¤ï¸ — Rohit Sharma FanClub (@ImRo45_FC) December 20, 2018 Sharma played a crucial role in the first innings of the 3rd Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground as he scored 63 runs off 114 balls and remained unbeaten till the end. The Men in Blue look to seal their series victory by winning the 4th Test starting 3rd January 2019, however, looks like they will not have the talents of the middle-order batsman to back them up in Sydney. The team is looking at Hardik Pandya, who recently recovered from a severe lower-back injury he suffered in September this year, as a suitable replacement for Sharma. “It would've been great to have him (Rohit) around,” a source told The Times of India. “Tactically, he brings so much to the side and then his batting provides the right kind of balance to the side. But what awaits him is far bigger and more important.” Rohit Sharma will be back in Australia after spending a week with the family to join the ODI squad for a three-match series starting 12th January 2019.
