  1. Looks like, even after years of the Baahubali franchise making waves across the globe, the world can still not get enough of the magnum opus. This weekend was a very special time and marked a big milestone for the entertainment industry back home as SS Rajamouli's Baahubali:The Beginning became the only and the first ever non-English movie to be screened at the Royal Albert Hall in London, which is huge! This is a giant leap of recognition meant for the people and a movie which truly put India on the global map of entertainment and in a way in which even Bollywood could not achieve this standard. For now, all we can say is 'Jai Mahishmati'! and let's hope we get to see this magical team work together again soon.
  2. When it comes to royal Indian fashion, the first name that comes to our mind is that of Padmanabh Singh, the Maharaja of Jaipur. Also known as 'Pacho', the 20-year-old King has been making quite an impact in the international fashion arena. Right from setting the ramps of Milan on fire, to being the fiercest royal fashionista, he is the epitome of royal elegance. He recently posted pictures of the Holika Dahan that took place at the City Palace, Jaipur, and he looks straight out of an opulent Bhansali flick in them. Take a look. © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur We are in love with the ivory sherwani paired with the silk white churidar, along with the royal safa accentuated with a red Bandhani dupatta. Also, the golden buttons and brooch, along with the bejewelled purple sword-sheath, are perfection. © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur His outfit, honestly, is a reflection of the inimitable grandeur that the Indian royalty is all about. The splendour of the palace, in all its sheer luxuriousness, is perfectly mirrored in the way the Maharaja has clothed himself. © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur The huge fire of Holika Dahan, along with the royal fireworks, is a reminder of the glory that pervaded all throughout India once upon a time. © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur © Instagram/Pachojaipur All we can say is, nothing can match the magnificence of these rituals, and the clothing that were a part and parcel of the proceedings.
  3. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are entering the twelfth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the first game of the year against the three-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Saturday, 23rd March 2019. However, the burden on their shoulders is a lot heavier as compared to their opponent. Having never won the title ever since the team's inception in 2008, the expectations and hopes of the people of Bangalore with regards to hosting the prestigious IPL trophy one day, are brutally crushing the team owners and the star-studded player line-up. Despite probably having the best coaching staff in the league and being captained by some of the greatest cricketers in the past, RCB have failed to seal the deal and their supporters are losing their cool. Having said that, after spending an amount as big as Rs. 16.35 crores at the 2018 IPL auction and retaining their best lot, the roster looks amazing. Here are the five key RCB players whom people should watch out for this IPL season: 1. Virat Kohli View this post on Instagram A post shared by Royal Challengers Bangalore (@royalchallengersbangalore) on Feb 15, 2019 at 6:43am PST Let's not spend too much time on the obvious. Virat Kohli, who is the captain of RCB and that of the Indian national cricket team, has to have an impact during this IPL season if he wishes to continue with the team as its skipper. Even though 2018 was his year and he won all the major individual awards put up by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Kohli has earned a bad reputation for himself as the captain of an IPL team. Having said that, Kohli is the second highest run-scorer in the entire league just behind CSK's Suresh Raina and became the first batsman to score 4000+ runs in the league during RCB's most successful season in 2016. As talented and gifted as Kohli is, he can manage to get runs even in his sleep. What is to be yet seen is how the King uses the supporting cast around him to take his team to the top. 2. AB de Villiers View this post on Instagram #TB to when @abdevilliers17's brilliance propelled us to a victory against Delhi Daredevils! #ThrowBackThursday #TBT #PlayBold #Repost @royalchallengersbangalore • • • • • If not for the roof, this would have landed in Cubbon Park. #PlayBold A post shared by Royal Challengers Bangalore (@royalchallengersbangalore) on Mar 14, 2019 at 2:35am PDT De Villiers was RCB's main man before Virat Kohli took the throne. The South African's furious batting style combined with years and years of experience as the captain of one of the leading teams of the cricketing world, made him an ideal piece of the puzzle that the team's road to title victory really is. Even though Mr. 360° is not the dynamic hitter he once used to be, he still possesses a lot of command over his bat and is very much capable of bringing home wins against many of the franchises from this season's matchups. 3. Yuzvendra Chahal View this post on Instagram Your focus determines your reality! ðð@yuzi_chahal23 #MondayMotivation #PlayBold A post shared by Royal Challengers Bangalore (@royalchallengersbangalore) on Mar 10, 2019 at 9:51pm PDT Yuzi Chahal has grown as a cricketer by leaps and bounds in the past couple of years. Putting in hours of practice in his craft has earned him a high chair in the Indian cricket team as he looks to represent his nation in the upcoming World Cup. Being Bangalore's leading wicket-taker, Chahal has earned immense respect and trust in the eyes of the team management that retained the leggy for his sixth season in red and gold. While bowlers like Mohammed Siraj and Washington Sundar will be at Kohli's disposal, the captain will turn to Chahal in the hour of need and demand of him the ability to break partnerships. 4. Marcus Stoinis Skipper @imVkohli with our new joinee, @MStoinis. Maybe he wants him to save his best for the upcoming VIVO IPL when he dons the red and black at #Chinnaswamy! #PlayBold #AUSvIND https://t.co/VQXFLo3JxV — Royal Challengers (@RCBTweets) November 22, 2018 Aussie Marcus Stoinis is probably one of those rare cricketers who are on the list of every fantasy cricket club owner. Having being named Australia's men's One-day International Player of the Year, the allrounder was a gem to look at as he hit big runs and scalped many wickets. A reliable player in general with the capacity to score runs on cue, Stoinis will be expected to go out there and perform on the same level as he does for his national cricket team. 5. Shimron Hetmyer Shimron Hetmyer is BOLD. We acquire him at INR 4.20 Cr!#PlayBold #BidForBold #IPLAuction — Royal Challengers (@RCBTweets) December 18, 2018 Getting paid for absolutely dismantling the Men in Blue during the Windies' visit to India in October 2018, Hetmyer was signed up by the RCB for Rs. 4.20 crores as they outbid literally every other team present in that ballroom during the IPL auctions. Known as a run-machine, this 22-year-old plays the sport like there is no tomorrow. Boasting a scary strike rate of 142.42, the lefty has scored 517 runs in the 21 T20 matches he has played so far. If Hettie brings even a fraction of his game to RCB, his presence in the team will be a huge boost for Virat Kohli and the rest of the squad.
  4. As one of the original eight teams that were established for the first season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) first in 2008, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have had a lot of experience in the league but not the silverware to boast about through the years. While having made it to the IPL final in 2009, 2011 and 2016, RCB have never won the trophy. Ever since the beginning, the team has seen some brilliant players like Rahul Dravid, AB de Villiers, Kevin Pietersen and now Virat Kohli, lead the squad in red and gold but have failed to win the tournament even once, making it one of three original franchises to have never lifted the cup. Last year, in the franchise's eleventh season in the league, Virat Kohli's men consisted of an outstanding coaching staff. With former Kiwi skipper Daniel Vettori and Ashish Nehra as their bowling coaches and the World Cup winning coach for Team India, Gary Kirsten looking after the batting department, there was a lot of experience backing up RCB. The roster was loaded with big hitters like de Villiers, Brendon McCullum and King Kohli himself and a unique blend of spin and fast bowlers like Yuzvendra Chahal and Australia's Nathan Coulter-Nile, who are wicket-hungry and in their prime shape. However, despite all the experience, skills and talent aboard, the Royal Challengers were not as good as they appeared on paper. Injuries, bad judgement calls and the lack of team chemistry on their part made Bangalore one of the worst teams of the league that did not even qualify for the playoffs and were at the third last position on IPL's points table, just two points above the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), which was the worst team of them all. After their season ended on a rather forgettable note, Kohli expressed his displeasure with the team's performance in a tweet: I really believe in the concept of, "you either win or you learn". We fought hard and gave it our all but one thing is for sure, next season we definitely will bounce back stronger than ever with our learnings from this season. Take care. @RCBTweets #RCB #IPL2018 pic.twitter.com/b0QM9chRAN — Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) May 24, 2018 Kohli made a pledge to the RCB fans that they would look to make the necessary changes and try their best to be better this season and it looks like the management is dedicated to keeping that pledge. During the IPL auction ahead of the twelfth season of the league, RCB spent a total of Rs. 16.35 crores out of their purse of Rs. 18.15 crores on buying talents Shivam Dube (Rs 5cr), Shimron Hetmyer (Rs 4.2cr), Akshdeep Nath while retaining the core members of the team like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Parthiv Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal. Squad: Virat Kohli (C), AB de Villiers, Parthiv Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Kulwant Khejroliya, Washington Sundar, Pawan Negi, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Moeen Ali, Mohammed Siraj, Colin de Grandhomme, Shimron Hetmyer, Devdutt Padikkal, Shivam Dube, Heinrich Klassen, Gurkeerat Singh, Himmat Singh, Prayas Ray Barman, Mandeep Singh
  5. Following their one-year suspensions in lieu to the 2018 ball-tampering scandal, Steve Smith and David Warner are raring to go for their respective franchises in the twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), slated to begin from 23rd March. While Warner has already been seen in a video for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) fans, Smith got a rousing welcome in the Rajasthan Royals (RR) camp. The picture you all have been waiting to see for so long! @stevesmith49 is back ð On a scale of 1 - #HallaBol, how excited are we Royals? pic.twitter.com/B7LtNcjI3x — Rajasthan Royals (@rajasthanroyals) March 17, 2019 The Australian batting sensation was seen arriving in the Rajasthan camp, sporting a yellow turban and holding a placard that read: "Halla Bol Steve". Smith's photograph was later shared on Twitter by Rajasthan Royals with a caption: The picture you all have been waiting to see for so long! @stevesmith49 is back. On a scale of 1 - #HallaBol, how excited are we Royals?". After staying away from international cricket, Smith will be eager to come good for Royals in the upcoming season of the IPL in a bid to remain in contention for the ICC World Cup slot in the Australian team. Reuters He was supposed to lead the Royals last season, but the infamous ball-tampering saga in South Africa led to his suspension and, in turn, an unceremonious exit from India's cash-rich Twenty20 (T20) league. In his absence, India's Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane was seen taking over the reins as captain and eventually leading Rajasthan to the playoffs last season. A thrilling contest between defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will kickstart the twelfth edition of the IPL on 23rd March. On the other hand, Rajasthan will begin their campaign when they take on Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on 25th March.
  6. Amitabh Bachchan might be 76, but there is a reason the man is still recognized as a legend. And no, we're not even talking about his acting chops here. When someone consistently keeps up - scratch that, gives youngsters a run for their money when it comes to style and fashion, that too at the age of 76, he must be doing something right. Big B just reminded us that he's the OG style icon once again, at Akash Ambani's wedding reception. He wore a simple kurta pyjama, but accessorized that with the most regal stole we've ever seen. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani We're in love with that black, white, silver, and blue striped stole, adorned with elaborately embroidered silver birds. Take a closer look here. © Viral Bhayani However, the credit here apparently goes to daughter Shweta Bachchan, because she is the one who chose her dad's outfit for the function, as mentioned by Big B himself in a heartwarming Instagram post. "Daughters are the best .. !! especially when she chooses what the Father should wear !!" - he wrote. © Instagram/Amitabhbachchan View this post on Instagram A post shared by Viral Bhayani (@viralbhayani) on Mar 10, 2019 at 10:59am PDT We love the super relaxed vibe of the black kurta and ultra wide pyjamas. Whoever thinks style can't be effortlessly comfortable should learn a lesson right here. © Viral Bhayani Also, is it just us or Mr Bachchan's jawline looks incredible? Age clearly is affecting him like it affects wine! © Viral Bhayani All we can say is, Bravo, sir. Also, Shweta Bachchan probably should become a stylist because she clearly is a natural. *Claps*
  7. Unless you've been living under a rock, you must have seen or at least heard about every biker's favourite machine, the Royal Enfield. This is no ordinary bike. This sturdy ride is a first choice for many, but more than that it's an emotion of euphoria and zest for life. Now that we have established what a thrill it is to just own a Royal Enfield, imagine the adrenaline rush one would get performing daredevil stunts atop this strong bullet – Exciting isn't it! During the recent Republic Day parade, one brave woman joined the Dare Devil team of the Indian Army who have been performing stunts atop their Royal Enfield Bullet since the last 30 years and holds 24 records. Capt. Shikha Surabhi has never shied away because of fear. She has always owned her fears and braved them with a smile. And this Republic Day, being the only woman daredevil atop the Royal Enfield she made sure that the crowd sat back and took notice of the new face of the fearless women. In an interview with Indiatimes, Capt. Shikha Surabhi revealed her thoughts behind this historic moment and the thrill of riding the Royal Enfield Bullet 350cc. Watch this video and be amazed by her brave spirit.
  8. Sometimes, you really just can't help the expressions you make, and it happens even more when you're literally wrestling with someone. Then, the expression can be so funny that it turns you into a meme. That's exactly what happened to Brock Lesnar during a match on Sunday. During the WWE Royal Rumble match, Lesnar defeated his opponent Finn Balor via submission after just under nine minutes in the middle of the ring using his Kimura lock and a meme was born. His victory was also a victory for the internet as he had the most hilarious expression. 9. Yes, the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) asked the Indian fans to vote for Mahendra Singh Dhoni to make an appearance in the show's iconic pay-per-view, the Royal Rumble. The Rumble is one of the most watched and loved events of WWE's calendar year and is known for bringing in the 'who's who' of the business to the organisation or help the legends of the show that were out due to injuries or bad run with the crowd, make a comeback. However, this year, WWE tried to make something a lot bigger happen, especially for the millions and MILLIONS ('The Rock' reference) of their Indian fans, by putting up a vote to call Indian cricket team's MS Dhoni to make a Royal Rumble appearance this year. - Countdown to 1ï¸â£0ï¸â£ - Cue the music ð¶ - Surprise entry to the rumble... @msdhoni India, do you want to see our very own Mahi enter the #RoyalRumble match this Monday? — WWE (@WWEIndia) January 23, 2019 This innovative social media stunt follows a tweet uploaded by WWE superstar Paul Heyman who is the manager and spokesperson for wrestler, Brock Lesnar. The viral tweet was a 'not so subtle' jab at Cricket World Cup by Paul Heyman who jokingly asked for royalties as the former paraphrased his tagline 'Eat, Sleep, Conquer, Repeat' which he uses to promote Lesnar. 10. Even though Bollywood takes the cake in terms of fashion and glamour, the hidden gems (pun intended) are often found in the midst of the royalty. One such gem is the 'Maharaja of Jaipur', Padmanabh Singh. The young king, well-known as 'Pacho', is all of 20, but can effortlessly give the whole of Bollywood a run for its money when it comes to being a hardcore fashionista. From walking the ramps in Milan to being the cover star in the biggest fashion magazines to chilling with fashion stalwarts like Giorgio Armani, he does it all like it's no big deal (which for him, it's not, let's face it). He is also an avid Polo player and takes an interest in sports. Here are 10 pictures of him that prove that no one can come close when it comes to being a royal fashionista in the truest sense of the phrase. 1. 11. Men's fashion has been going through a revolution, that is all about being more inclusive. We saw Ranveer Singh pioneer this on a grand scale during his own wedding, and others have been following suit. Now, flowy garments for men, especially the 'Angrakha', has always been an intrinsic part of traditional Indian menswear, but it's only now that they are coming under the limelight. Sidharth Malhotra just wore one, designed by the brilliant Mr Rohit Bal, and rocked the ramp. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Doesn't he look majestic in that black and gold ensemble? 12. Like the famous Wallace Stevens' poem Disillusionment of Ten o' Clock, the tiny state of Goa tenders myriad different hues. So, what did I choose for my latest trip down the west coast? Biker. This choice offered me an insight into India's eccentric riding community, via Rider Mania, the world's largest gathering of Royal Enfield owners. The three-day festival rode the wave of the RE's brand new 650cc twins – Interceptor INT 650 and the Continental INT 650 – that were presented to India hours before the motorcycling extravaganza kicked off. I even hit tarmac astride both the bikes and they seemed nothing like any RE you would've ever ridden before. But more on that later. Royal Enfield/Alshaar I landed in Goa to dirt tracks and racing competitions on Day 1 of the festival to all sorts of Royal Enfields – from the custom vintage models to the more recent over-chromed 350s. There were vibrant custom helmet stalls, a testosterone-heavy beer drinking competition and a Maut ka Kuan that invoked a very familiar mela nostalgia from my childhood days growing up in small towns. Standing on one leg, a biker called Vinod Rawat stood out amidst this colourful bedlam. He lost the other limb when a truck ran him over at the tender age of six. Despite the efforts of doctors for the next six months, one of his legs had to be amputated owing to financial struggles. But a Mumbai hospital designed a special prosthetic leg for him when he was 27, and he has not looked back ever since. Royal Enfield/Alshaar He started the Convoy Control Club in 2010 for differently-abled riders, after facing rejection from other clubs due to his disability. Starting with three motorcyclists, the club now boasts of 120+ members. The youngest is 21 while the oldest are in their mid-50s. He took the stage to share his story at Rider Mania to an inquisitive audience. “In 2010, I was a part of Rider Mania and from then on I have always been a part of it,” he says. He has always ridden alone but receives whole-hearted backing from his family. “I have preferred Rider Mania to the other biking events because here you have everybody riding the Bullet. There is uniformity and everybody is on the same platform whereas other biker's music festivals have mixed bikes and hence there is a great disparity.” Royal Enfield/Alshaar His spirit reverberated in the beats of one of India's most promising young rappers Vivian Fernandes alias Divine, and his Gully Gang, on the main stage, later that night. “Sikander Vo Jo Jeeta Hain/Dilo Ko Beta Andar Se/Chhutkara Paoge Jhanjat Se/Mehnat Aur Thodi Mannat Se/Thakaan Aur Thodi Kismat Se/Par Moti Bante Kankad Se/Aarami Hogi Jannat Mein/Hum Pale Jaha Tu Matti Le/Iss Jungle Ki Kahani Mein,” he rapped the evening to a close. And after dark, what happens in Goa, stays in Goa. Royal Enfield/Alshaar More biker events awaited at the main arena on Day 2. But a quick meal at Sarah Todd's Antares later, I rode my Himalayan (borrowed from RE only for a day) to the RE Garage Café, in Baga. A friend had described the café's vibe to me as unruffled and laid-back. A mammoth industrial fan whirring overhead in the restaurant area was the epitome of this aura. Apart from an eatery, the café also has a merchandise and gear shop and more remarkably, a tiny motorcycle museum that houses prized machines, from the 1939 Flying Flea to the 1965 750cc Interceptor and more. The chief food curator Jamshed Madon is the face of this property that some Goans still refer to as the erstwhile J&A's Little Italy. And although I couldn't meet him on the day, his words from the launch, earlier this year, stayed with me. “It's a country- style kitchen for bikers and non-bikers alike. There's a lot of goodwill that has gone into the place. The goal is to reflect the local food and the food available on the road.” Royal Enfield/Alshaar The evening drew to a close with gigs from the likes of Su Real as I decided to spend it quietly by the Anjuna beach. But Is there ever a quiet evening when you're vacationing in Goa, I wonder. In the unexpected company of some old friends and a few new ones, the only colour I remember from the evening is black. How. Ever. I still woke up just in time for the big day. It was now time to ride the new motorcycles, in Goa's south-central village of Dona Paula. With the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) taking place in the background, it was me who felt like the real action hero as I first leaned into the corners first on the new Continental and then on the Interceptor. Having ridden the Himalayan over the weekend, these felt like massive upgrades. In fact, I'd even dare call them very very world-class. It wasn't very long ago that I was speeding on the latest Ducati Scrambler in Italy. Royal Enfield/Alshaar For starters, the Interceptor 650 features the styling ethos of a roadster in the classic mould, while the Continental GT is a cafe racer. Both the motorcycles use Royal Enfield's brand-new 648cc parallel twin-cylinder engine, which is surprisingly smooth and well-balanced (check out Kartik Singhee's Chaai ka cup test ICYMI ). Though unlike your usual REs, it also sounds brilliant thanks to the 270-degree firing order, even on the stock exhaust pipes. The new tubular double cradle frame, basic but competent suspension, excellent brakes and standard dual-channel ABS completes a rather thorough if basic package. And the big news is the incredible starting price of Rs 2.50 lakh for the Interceptor and Rs 2.65 lakh (both ex-showroom) for the Continental. There is no upside fork on the front nor is the engine liquid cooled. There aren't fancy electronics as well. But this duo will sell because it's RE and India loves it, just like Goa. It was my fifth trip to the Konkan state this year, and it remains to be a gift that keeps on giving. Still enough time for a sixth maybe? Royal Enfield/Alshaar

  14. Ranveer Singh's wedding outfit pictures are out, and every groom in the country right now is under a lot of pressure - if not for anything else - simply because of how extraordinary Ranveer looked as one. There is no outdoing him, ever, but more importantly, everyone is spellbound at how detail oriented all his outfits were. Clearly, a lot of thought went into the conceptualization of the theme, just like a true-blue Sabyasachi line, and here are 5 interesting elements that contributed to the royal appeal of the outfits. 1. Elephants © Instagram/Deepikapadukone Ranveer made an appearance at the airport right after his wedding, and wore a strikingly interesting Nehru jacket. His bright crimson jacket had elephant motifs all over, something that didn't come as a surprise to us because of Sabyasachi's love for the natural grandeur that India's fauna brings to the table. 2. Falcon © Instagram/Deepikapadukone Ranveer's Sindhi wedding ceremony saw the man embrace jewellery like no other groom ever did. He wore a neckpiece that had an enormous falcon pendant, encrusted with uncut diamonds and emeralds. Sabyasachi's heritage jewellery often portrays a design sensibility that is all about the wonders of nature. 3. Roses © Instagram/Deepikapadukone The colour scheme of Ranveer's entire wedding outfit line was based on the various hues of roses. Sabyasachi already has a section of outfits in his line dedicated to the richness of roses, that he calls 'Gulaab', and he just took it to the next level with this wedding. 4. Gold © Instagram/Deepikapadukone © Instagram/Deepikapadukone All the detailing in every outfit Ranveer wore during the wedding was gold-based. The rich, rustic opulence of gold helped bring out the regal aesthetic of all the princely outfits Ranveer donned - be it the Konkani wedding or the Sindhi. It all looked surreal! 5. Maroon & Green Jewels © Instagram/Deepikapadukone Tourmalines, Garnets, and Emeralds made their presence felt in Ranveer's outfits, apart from the uncut diamonds, of course. The precious to semi-precious stones in that particular colour scheme is royal, and masculine at the same time - which is an extension of Ranveer's personal style statement.
  15. You can't choose your family, nor can you decide whether to be born with or without a silver spoon. You can't decide whether to be born into a royal family or as a commoner. But, you can choose to let go of the wealth and royalty, if you want to be with someone you truly love. On this note, let's introduce this Japanese princess who did exactly that by leaving her royal status and title to marry a commoner. Twitter On Monday the 28-year-old Princess Ayako, daughter of Emperor Akihito's cousin, married a commoner Kei Moriya in a Shinto-style wedding at Tokyo's Meiji Shrine. The 32-year-old Moriya works for a shipping company called Nippon Yusen. According to the Japanese media, the wedding included an exchange of rings, followed by a cup of sake the couple shared. é«å宮家ã®ä¸å¥³ã®çµ¢åãã¾ã¨ã大ææµ·éä¼ç¤¾ã«å¤åããå®è°·æ§ããã®çµå©å¼ããæ±äº¬ã®ææ²»ç¥å®®ã§è¡ããã¾ããã åå10æåããã«ææ²»ç¥å®®ã«å°çããã¨ãé³¥å±ã®åã§åºè¿ããå®è°·ããã¨ã¨ãã«å¼ããããç¥æ¥½æ®¿ã¸ã¨é²ã¾ãã¾ãããhttps://t.co/Ll3XgjhZJD #nhk_news #nhk_video pic.twitter.com/gAJUPHcytx — NHKãã¥ã¼ã¹ (@nhk_news) October 29, 2018 It is said that women cannot inherit Japan's Chrysanthemum Throne. 17. Qatar's royal family has put its luxury jet up for sale and it could sell for as much much as £500,000,000 (that's 500 million). The Royal Family has a whole fleet of Business Jets often called as the Qatar Amiri fleet. There are almost a dozen planes, and one of them is the Boeing 747-8, the world's largest business jet. The Royal Family has two of these Boeing 747-8s and is now looking to sell one of them. To be more precise, the one up for sale has a registration code VQ-BSK and was delivered just recently in December 2012. The interior redesign was completed in December 2014, and the aircraft finally entered service in January 2015. © Controller The aircraft has logged just 436 flight hours along with 200 cycles and is equipped to transport 76 passengers in an extremely luxurious cabin. Onboard facilities include a large bedroom with a double bed, a living room, staterooms and meeting rooms, a bathroom and even its own special hospital. © Controller The Boeing 747-8i, also known as the 747 Dreamliner has a list price of US$ 370 million and is designed to carry more than 400 passengers in a three-class layout. Currently, airlines like Lufthansa and British Airways operate this aircraft and it is among the most popular aircrafts in the world, thanks to the legacy of 747 series. © Controller Right now it remains unclear as to why the Royal Family is open to selling this crown jewel, the other 747-8 in their fleet is a lot more subtle from the outside though. Keep in mind, even though there are numerous pictures available online about the interiors, there are still many features and additions on board the aircraft that are not meant for everyone's eyes. © Controller The Qatar Amiri Fleet also includes a three widebody Airbus A340s and two A330s. For more routine and short turnaround work, it has around eight narrow-body A320s as well as a single A310. Basically yes, the Royal Family has its own mini airline that is waiting round the clock for them. © Controller It's unclear who the new buyer will be, or whether there will be one in the first place. Business Jets are a huge liability, and the 747-8 burns fuel and requires maintenance like a monster. In fact, the American President is also going to get a new aircraft, often referred to as the "Air Force One", and its obviously going to be a heavily customized Boeing 747-8. If you're actually thinking of getting one, the Qatar Royal Family is also looking to sell its 40-year-old Boeing 747SP for a considerably lesser US$ 9.5 million. Source: The Guardian
  18. Football, being the wonderful sport that it is, remains a contact sport despite a few denying this fact. With all the adrenaline rush that goes on, tempers often soar high and lead to unsavory incidents on the pitch. While this World Cup may not have had too many such incidents, footballers do not always manage to keep their composure. Teammates, coaches, opponents and even referees have gotten involved in such untoward instances, which have etched their name in infamy. Here are some of the most heated fights that have taken place on the football pitch: 1. Arsenal Vs Chelsea (2007) © Twitter Let's be honest, nobody cares about the League Cup anymore. However, in 2007, it was a significant moment as Arsenal came up against Chelsea. The two teams had had quite a few feisty encounters at the time, and their managers Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho constantly had a go at each other. Chelsea scored a late goal and led 2-1, and with the match deep into injury time, the ball broke free in midfield and Jon Obi Mikel and Kolo Toure both tore into each other to get the possession. Before we knew it, Toure and Mikel were at each other's collars. Players from both teams got involved and it soon became a street fight, resulting in both the alarmed managers invading the pitch in an effort to calm things down. The match ended with Mikel, Toure, and Adebayor being sent off. The FA wasn't going to let this slide and handed out massive punishments to both the clubs. All the suspensions were held, with Adebayor and Eboue being suspended for four instead of three games. The clubs were fined GBP 100,000 for failing to control their players and both the managers were reprimanded for their ungraceful remarks about the officials. Overall, it was a total shit-show. 2. Kieron Dyer Vs Lee Bowyer (2005) © Twitter This one is actually quite funny. It was 2005 and Newcastle's glory days were few and far in between. In a regular Premier League match against Aston Villa, Kieron Dyer and Lee Bowyer, who were both midfielders for Newcastle at the time, decided to revisit their school days. The pair got into an argument about passing the ball to each other and in a split second, they were at each other's collars. Punches rained from both sides as they had to be separated by the opposition players and their own teammates. In the fracas, Bowyer had his shirt ripped and didn't look like he was done with Dyer. Consequently, Newcastle lost the match 3-0 and ended the game with 8 men, as Steven Taylor had been sent off before the incident. Both players were handed out massive fines and suspensions by the club and the Premier League. This was as hilarious as it was shocking! 3. Portugal Vs Netherlands (2006) © Twitter It's not really a football match when the entire match is a brawl. In the Round of 16 match between Portugal and Netherlands at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, 16 yellow cards and 4 red cards were handed out, as both sides ended the match with 9 men. Cristiano Ronaldo was kung-fu kicked by Khalid Boulahrouz and was forced off through injury. Luis Figo headbutted an opponent and was elbowed in the face sometime later. Even the benches of both the teams got involved. Portugal, eventually, did emerge as winners at the end of what seemed more like a Royal Rumble. 4. Sergio Ramos Vs Barcelona (2010) © Twitter How could we leave Sergio Ramos and El Classico out of this? In 2010, Barcelona were 5-0 up against Real Madrid. With Messi going on one of his trademark runs deep into injury time, frustration got the better of Ramos as he kicked Messi to knock him down. As Messi's Barcelona teammates aggressively surrounded Ramos, he shoved Carles Puyol, his national team captain in the face, exchanged a few words with Gerard Pique, kicked off a brawl which involved all players and supporting staff and on his way to the dugout, shoved Xavi Hernandez along the way as he nonchalantly entered the tunnel, leaving others to clean up his mess. Yes, he's always been a moron. 5. Manchester United Vs Arsenal (2003) © Twitter Matches between Arsenal and Manchester United have always paved the way for exciting duels. But, in 2003, the football madness - generally offered by these two sides - was shockingly complemented by some absolute shithoussery from the likes of Roy Keane, Patrick Vieira, Paul Scholes and Martin Keown. In one such match at Old Trafford, Ruud van Nistelrooy acted to perfection and got Patrick Vieira sent off. With the tempers flaring, Manchester United were awarded a penalty which van Nistelrooy missed. As the final whistle blew, five Arsenal players surrounded Van Nistelrooy and pushing, shoving and verbal tirades followed. The match ended in a draw and Arsenal went on a 49-game unbeaten run. A year later, Manchester United ended that run and a sour Cesc Fabregas threw a pizza at Sir Alex Ferguson for it. Those were the days!
  19. Duping people for money is an old trick in any criminal's handbook but duping a royal family by hacking their e-mail ID has to be one of the most audacious crimes one can ever come across. A 47-year-old man from Kerala was arrested on Wednesday for hacking the email ID of a Qatar royal family member and illegally amassing Rs 5.2 crores. © Twitter The accused Sunil Menon had been to Qatar many times before and had even previously worked in the country. A complaint lodged against him accused the Keralite of offering to sell gold-plated paintings of Qatar Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Qatar Museum Authority. He orchestrated the sale by hacking the email-id of Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the sister of the Amir and the head of the Qatar Museum Authority. His modus operandi simulated that of a seasoned criminal as he sent the mails on behalf of the royal family to the museum informing them of a deal with an American Jerome Napolean to sell painting of Amir to the museum. He then directed the museum to pay Rs 5.2 crores of advance payment to Napolean's account. Later on, he directed the museum through the hacked email-id to transfer the amount to his own bank account. Not in the know how of such dealings, the museum followed the instructions. However, the IT experts in the financial auditing team detected something askew in those unverified emails. © scoopempire As soon as the financial analysis wing of the royal family filed a complaint against Sunil in Thrissur, the Rs 4.5 crores in Sunil's account were frozen and Sunil was caught from Kochi trying to flee the country. An amount of Rs 1.5 lakhs was also seized from the accused in cash and he's now in official custody.

Harry, now the Duke of Sussex, was volunteering at the Mants'ase Children's home during his gap-year stay in Lesotho, when he met the orphan child. The duo immediately struck a bond and Prince Harry liked Mutsu and his company so much, that together the two built fences, planted trees and shared many memorable moments in the process. © Twitter Wondering why I am telling you all this now? Well, fast forward 14 years and the two had one of the most beautiful reunions at the royal wedding of Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle. Honestly, in an age where we can barely stay in touch with people whom we probably met two years ago, it's great to see that Prince Harry not only stayed in touched with Mutsu, but also made sure to fly him down to Windsor Castle, as one of the 600 special guests at the wedding. © Twitter © Twitter 18-year-old Mutsu was reportedly one of the 10 representatives from Prince Harry's charity Sentebale. Harry went to the children's home to help the African children stricken by HIV and AIDS and it was there that he met Mutsu, whose first name now is Relebohile. In fact, it was this trip that laid the base for his charity, Sentebale. © Twitter Over the years, Prince Harry's friendship with Mutsu has grown stronger and both share priceless reactions each time they meet. In fact, Harry even bought a pair of blue wellington boots for Mutsu, which he has treasured all these years. A few years ago, a documentary was made showing an overjoyed Harry, meeting Mutsu after a long time. “Look how big you are now, how old are you? 15? Good man!" After his meeting, Harry said, “It was great to see that he is so happy.” © Twitter Such friendships are hard to find and the close bond between the two was evident at the wedding. There's a video which shows Prince Harry dressed as a groom walking towards the Windsor Castle. It took him no time for him to recognise Mutsu in the crowd, and while he was cheering and waving at him, Harry too waved towards him with a thumbs-up. © Twitter Well, Harry may not be able to lift Mutsu up in his arms anymore to give him a tight hug like he did when he was a toddler, but we hope their friendship only grows stays this strong forever. 25. What do you call a wedding where the whole world is 'over' excited and 'extra' enthusiastic about everything, more than probably the couple's family and friends? A Royal Wedding. At least, that's what we realized over the weekend, when former 'Suits' actress Meghan Markle got married to Britain's Prince Harry. FYI, they are now Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Twitter “I don't care about this royal wedding! I didn't even see any pictures or videos,” it will be a lie if someone says this. Because, I am sure that by now we all have seen what the royal couple wore, Priyanka Chopra's regal avatar, Prince Harry whispering “I'm so lucky” after seeing his bride Meghan, David Beckham's 'I am the most handsome guy in the party' look, and Tom Hardy's ultimate resting b**ch face. But just like a wedding is incomplete without good food, Punjabi music and nooks with good lighting for better selfies, a grand event such as the royal wedding is incomplete without royal memes. Honestly, if there was a place that was buzzing more than St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, it was social media. Twitter Like every other time, Twitter did not disappoint us at all. And when it comes to memes, no one does it better than desi Twitter (I swear, I did not make it rhyme). While we were transfixed by the wedding pictures, Twitter was busy doing what it does best – churning out hilarious memes like there's no tomorrow. We guess we all can go home, now that Bunty and Sweety are happily married. This is by far the most hilarious and best video we have seen of the wedding. Who did it better?
