  1. Computex 2019 is currently underway, which means it's time for us to check out some cool new hardware products. After AMD's new chipset announcement, now ASUS has decided to turn up the heat with some kickass products. The company launched a ton of products today, however, it's new “Edition 30” ZenBook laptop is what caught our attention. So, ASUS is celebrating its 30-year-anniversary with this new special edition laptop called the ASUS ZenBook Edition 30. Before we talk a bit more about the product itself, let's just take a moment to appreciate how awesome the laptop looks - © YouTube ASUS The new ASUS ZenBook Edition 30, as you can see, sports a white leather lid cover and an 18-karat rose gold logo, which resembles Star Trek's Starfleet insignia, no? According to ASUS, every piece of leather used to make these laptops have been hand selected, and each panel cover is meticulously sewed by a master tailor. Yes, it sounds like overkill, but hey, it's a limited edition product. Internally, the ZenBook Edition 30 is powered by Intel's 8th Gen Core i7 processor coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and PCIe SSD storage. For graphics, the laptop uses Nvidia's GeForce MX250 discrete GPU. It sports a 13-inch display on the front with minimal bezels. With a 95-per cent screen-to-body ratio, ASUS says this is the world's smallest 13-inch laptop. ASUS is also making special accessories for this laptop. There's a pearl white mouse and a leather sleeve, both of which look equally good. Sadly, ASUS won't tell us when the laptop will go on sale and for how much, so you can't really buy it just yet. Even once it's up for grabs, we're sure it's not going to be cheap.
  2. Guilty of bringing disrepute to the gentleman's game, slammed by fans and eventually handed one-year bans, the tainted duo of Steve Smith and David Warner arguably underwent the toughest phase of their respective careers. The 2018 ball-tampering scandal saw the decorated Australian cricketers fall from grace owing to their respective roles in the heinous act. Thus, when the two cricketers took the field for their respective franchises, all eyes were on Smith and Warner to prove their mettle in the 2019 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). While Warner set the tournament on fire on the back of consistent performances for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Smith, having struggled in the early stages, also found some form before reporting back for national duty ahead of the ICC World Cup. © Twitter/IPL The tainted duo was welcomed back to the Australian team as they joined the pre-World Cup camp. Their inclusion in the Australian brigade was never really a doubt, but everyone wanted to see how the two fallen stars would fare upon their return. Plying his trade in the first of three unofficial ODI games against New Zealand, Smith made an immediate impact when he pulled off a stunning one-handed catch to send Tom Latham packing. In the 33rd over, Jason Behrendorff bowled a length delivery that bounced off the surface, surprising Latham who couldn't stop the ball from looping in the air as Smith, after covering some ground, grabbed it inches off the ground with a one-handed diving effort. WHAT A CATCH! Steve Smith has still got it! pic.twitter.com/WWM280MEiy — cricket.com.au (@cricketcomau) May 6, 2019 Asked to bat, the Kiwis were undone by the Aussie pace battery as the likes of Behrendorff, Pat Cummins and Nathan Coulter-Nile picked three wickets apiece. After restricting New Zealand to 215 runs, the Aussies were aided by skipper Aaron Finch (52), Warner (39) and Smith (22) early on before Coulter-Nile's 36-ball 34 saved them the blushes with a narrow one-wicket win. He could catch them in his sleep.#easywork — Mark Waugh (@juniorwaugh349) May 6, 2019 Nice one smudge! Things are building.... ð — The Richies (@The_Richies) May 6, 2019 Wow Smudge ð Brilliant catch — Mr. A ð (@cricdrugs_) May 6, 2019 He's still got it!!! — Melissa Felton ð (@MelissaMF10) May 6, 2019 Easy pickings for a man of his quality — Scott Travis-Spinoglio (@Scotty_Tizzle) May 6, 2019 Great catch — bazza (@bazza_200) May 6, 2019
  3. Smartphone cameras, as we all know, have gotten a lot better now. The newly launched Huawei P30 Pro, for instance, lets you capture some stunning pictures of the moon like the one which we've shown in our review of the phone. But you don't always need a new and flashy flagship phone to take a good picture. Sometimes you simply use a two-year-old phone like the Galaxy S8 and come up with breathtaking pictures like this - © Twitter Yes, that's the planet Saturn. On March 29, the planet lined up perfectly with the moon, making it seem like it's touching the surface of the moon. It's a relatively common yet easy-to-miss event called a 'conjunction'. Pretty sure most of you reading this didn't know much about this event. But lucky for us earthlings, an astrophotographer Grant Petersen managed to capture the event. What's more surprising is that he captured it with his two-year-old Samsung Galaxy S8. Awesome, right? © Twitter Yes, the Galaxy S8 has really good cameras. But in all fairness, it's not entirely capable of taking a picture like that on its own. He mounted the phone to a telescope. In fact, the final image is a combination of several photos. His setup, as he explains, included an 8-inch Dobsonian telescope, a Galaxy S8 smartphone and an adapter to connect it to a lens, and lastly, an eyepiece. As the planet started aligning with the moon, Petersen recorded it in a 60-frame-per-second video. Then after the event, he processed the images using a technique called stacking to merge several of the video frames to get the final copy. This picture, in case you're wondering, was taken from Johannesburg, South Africa. He then decided to share the image on Twitter for the world to see. Simply stunning!
  4. If you are big on travelling, you probably already know this, but in case you are not into travelling as much, you might have still heard lots of people say that the best time to visit Japan is during the cherry blossom season. Travellers from far and wide, who have had the chance to behold the country in all its pink glory during this season, will vouch for the fact that no artificially produced images and representations do justice to the beauty of nature's bounty in this sensory form. (@bunnytokyo) on Mar 28, 2019 at 5:00am PDT In all honesty, we couldn't agree more. However, this year's cherry blossom season in Japan came with a unique twist of fate. The intricate pink blossoms bloomed sooner than their usual blooming cycle. Why? It is all thanks to the above average temperature during autumn last year, that is responsible for this change in their blooming clock. A report on 'Travel Leisure' suggests that higher than usual temperatures in 2018 is making the flowers bloom sooner than before in parts of the country. In simpler terms that means that climate change is impacting with the blooming cycle of cherry blossoms. But that does not change the fact that no matter what it is that we care about, it's getting affected by climate change. From warmer summers and colder winters, to melting glaciers, rising seawater levels, sudden flash floods to wildfires, and of course species of flora and fauna getting extinct, the list in a long and disheartening one. This season's cherry blossom blooms are just a little reminder for us to take things a little more seriously and do something about it before it's too late, for our own sake if not anything else. 5. The much-awaited first teaser of the upcoming period drama 'Kalank' is finally out amidst much hype. The movie marks Dharma Production venturing into the Sanjay Leela Bhansali genre with a period drama that is set in the pre-independence era. The onus lies on the love story between Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, but the teaser shows a heart broken Alia marrying Aditya Roy Kapur instead. © Dharma Productions Besides the three leads, the movie brings together Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Diixit after an insane hiatus. Also Sonakshi Sinha will be seen in a pivotal role. Sure, the teaser ensures us that this will be a stunning visual delight but however, it's not something you feel like you haven't already watched before. The movie is directed by Abhishek Varman and is set to release on 17th April.
  6. Let's talk about sports and grooming going hand in hand for a second. Sports is an intense field and if you engage with it, it leaves you all sweaty and messed up. However, some men know how to clean up well even on the field and even after a long and tiresome match they still look on point. So here is list of Indian sports men that really know their grooming men. 1. Ishant Sharma © Getty Images While Ishant Sharma might have been punished for having long hair in school, he's really turned it around as an adult. His shoulder length mane adds a certain character to his personality. Imagine Ishant Sharma without this hair! Well, we can't either. 2. Virat Kohli © Getty Images Not that Virat Kohli didn't look great before his days with Anushka Sharma, but we feel since she has stepped into his life, he's really understood the importance of grooming, maintaining the perfect hairstyle and a beard style that looks like a million bucks on him. 3. Hardik Pandya © Getty Images Now, we know that he's received a lot of flak recently for his controversial 'Koffee With Karan' comments, however the guy does clean up well. We can't really question that, can we? 4. Sunil Chhetri © Getty Images Apart from being the striker/winger and captains for both the Indian Super League side Bengaluru FC and the Indian national football team, Sunil Chhetri also sports a stunning haircut. 5. Sandesh Jhingan © Getty Images Sandesh Jhingan is the defender for Kerala Blasters FC of the Indian Super League and the Indian football team. He is a good example of showing that even messy hair can look really good if you're comfortable in your skin. 6. K.L.Rahul © MensXP K.L Rahul is another cricketer we wish we got grooming lessons from. His look is very cleverly put together, so it looks effortless and clean.
  7. The runway is the breeding ground for the quirkiest fashion trends that could either provide a good laugh for their artistic aesthetic or end up in a Zara store near you the next week. The next thing you know, everyone's living, breathing that trend. But sometimes the trends introduced on the runway transition into normalcy so quickly that you could never imagine if that was the trend you laughed at. Case in point: a pair of jeans. There is another accessory trend that is bizarrely becoming popular, which is the male harness or as some high fashion brands have clarified: the embroidered bib. See, how actors have worn it: Michael B. Jordan at the Screen Actors' Guild Awards in a purple harness over a classic double breasted tux. © Instagram Chadwick Boseman was also seen wearing one over his ecru suit. © Instagram Timothee Chalamet was seen wearing a black shiny version too. © Instagram And, we cannot forget Virgil Abloh who is speculated to have started this trend. © Instagram Given that most celebrities end up wearing the boring tuxedo, this trend is a great way to dip your toes in the world of accessories for a little something extra, what do you think?
  8. Honor has been actively launching new phones every couple of months and this time, they've got a premium phone up for grabs. A few weeks ago, the Honor 10 Lite was launched in India, and now the View 20 is finally debuting. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The phone was recently announced globally in Paris and is now set to become the first major flagship launch in India this year. It brings a unique design language for the company as it is the first phone to sport a new punch-hole display. The punch-hole helps in increasing the screen-to-body ratio of the phone, without a notch. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The glass back sees a unique chevron design with V-shaped pattern running down the back. Apart from that the phone pretty much appears to be bezel-less save for a tiny chin at the bottom. The phone has been up for pre-order on Amazon.in for quite some time now. It has a 6.4-inch LCD Full HD+ display with over 91 percent screen-to-body ratio and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by the flagship SoC from HiSilicon, the Kirin 980, which has four high-performance Cortex-A76 cores, four power-efficient Cortex-55 cores, and Mali-G76 MP10 GPU. It is available in two configurations, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla On the rear is a 48-megapixel sensor, coupled along with a 3D ToF sensor. It is an optical radar system and is able to identify faces even from comparatively long distances. ToF 3D Sensing Technology offers an advanced experience by enabling 3D mapping at up to three metres. The front gets a 25-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture housed in the cut-out. It supports 960fps slow-motion video recording, AI HDR, and auto scene detection for picture enhancements. The View 20 houses a 4000mAh battery that supports fast charging and ships with Android 9 Pie-based Magic UI. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The dual-SIM Honor View 20 is being offered in two colours, Charm Blue and Midnight Black. The 6GB+128GB variant costs Rs 37,999 and the 8GB+256GB option costs Rs 45,999. Considering the price range, it'll be closely competing with the OnePlus 6T.
  9. Last year, Vivo showed off the Vivo APEX 2018 concept and it featured a pop-up sliding camera and thinnest possible bezels. Back then, everyone was excited to see the concept materialize and surprisingly the brand managed to mass produce it within six months. The finished product was called the Vivo NEX. © Vivo Now after a year, Vivo has unveiled the APEX 2019 concept and it is even more amusing. Just today we saw Meizu's Zero that is completely holeless. The APE 2019 concept follows a similar line, but with more practicality. To start with, the phone has no buttons and completely relies on Touch Sense technology, it brings together capacitive touch and pressure-sensing. The software has been optimized to detect pressure or squeezing on the frame and can determine the pressure points location. Secondly, the usual USB port has been replaced by a MagPort. It is a magnetic power connector that enables both charging and data transfer and doesn't require a socket. Even the usual earpiece or speakers are gone and replaced by Body SoundCasting technology that turns the complete display into a speaker. © Vivo Last year we witnessed the mainstream adoption of the in-display fingerprint scanner. But, the scanner was limited to a specific area on the screen. With the APEX 2019 concept, Vivo is enabling the complete display to act as a scanner. This enables users to touch almost anywhere on the screen to unlock the device. Also, when you touch the display to unlock, the nearby screen pixels will light up for a faster and more accurate authentication. Lastly, the concept has 5G support thanks to the brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 platform. The phone shall come up with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. Vivo is also bundling along its Jovi AI Assistant. This will be the company's first phone to run 5G. © Vivo Why did Vivo decide to remove many of the usual components like the USB port, buttons, and more? To make up space for the 5G modules. It also incorporates a Duplex PCB design to make 20 percent more space. The company has already announced it will be at MWC 2019 and visitors shall get a chance to experience the device first-hand. For now, this is a concept and there is no word on mass availability. Given Vivo's 2018 timelines, we expect the phone to be ready by the end of 2019 though.
  10. For Priyanka Chopra, 2018 had been all about taking that next leap, be it in the professional or personal sphere. From wrapping up the final season of 'Quantico' to juggling time and commitments in Bollywood and Hollywood, to eventually going all out to celebrate the biggest day of her life and tying the knot with American singer Nick Jonas, last year was nothing less than eventful for Priyanka. 11. In what was touted to be a dogfight amongst the last two teams in the points table, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) managed to clinch their second win this season after beating Delhi Daredevils (DD) by six wickets at the M Chinnaswamy stadium. Having lost three games, RCB needed its players to step up and to the occasion was none other 'Mr. 360' AB de Villiers. With a wide array of strokes, the explosive batsman powered his way to an unbeaten 90 off just 39 deliveries including ten fours and five sixes. His stay at the crease ensured RCB chased down the competitive total of 174 runs with two overs to spare. But, while RCB were lifted by De Villiers and Yuzvendra Chahal (2-22), Delhi, too, witnessed the moments of brilliance through its players. © BCCI Shreyas Iyer's knock of a 31-ball 52 was pivotal in stabilising Delhi's innings after early struggles, while Rishabh Pant's 85-run innings ensured the visitors had a respectable total on board. In the RCB's run-chase, another exemplary display came through Trent Boult whose brilliance in the field sent Virat Kohli back into the hut. MUST WATCH: Boult from the Blue – @trent_boult's one-handed screamer stuns Virat Is this the greatest catch of the #VIVOIPL? Harshal Patel's full-toss straying on the leg side was heading over the ropes when Boult timed his jump to perfection, raising his right-hand to catch the ball and then carefully landing on his stomach just inches away from the boundary. It was one of those rare moments that you had to see to believe it. The catch left the home crowd open-mouthed with Kohli himself appearing shell-shocked and the ball-boy near Boult couldn't hold himself back from expressing his wonder at the brilliance in the field from the Delhi star. So much so that the RCB skipper himself couldn't help by shower praise on Boult's magnificent effort. "[The catch} I was stunned when he took it, that's a brilliant catch, it happens in the IPL especially. Good to see. That's a catch when you look back, you don't feel bad about getting out," Kohli said after the match. On the other hand, Boult's catch also became the topic of discussion on social media with cricket bigwigs labelling it as the greatest ever catch in the history of the game. Might not see a better catch in the entire IPL. #respect #RCBvDD — Aakash Chopra (@cricketaakash) 21 April 2018 Stop what you're doing and go look at the catch Trent Boult just took. That is one of the best catches that the game of Cricket has ever seen without any doubt. Just breathing distance and he took it with ease. #RCBvDD — Hemang Badani (@hemangkbadani) 21 April 2018
  12. You have read her name in headlines all this week, you have seen her trending on all social media platforms and you know you have already stalked her on Instagram, but there is very little that is known about Harleen Sethi, a gorgeous woman with immense talent inculcated in her. View this post on Instagram But "just friends" don't look at each other like that ð #justsaying #aankhonhiaankhonmein #indianwedding #ranipink #anitadongre #gotapatti A post shared by Harleen Sethi (@itsharleensethi) on Sep 21, 2018 at 8:25am PDT Just like most people on the internet, our curiosity got the best of us and we finally got to speak to the beautiful woman herself. I had a few questions in mind before we talked, you know how you try do a bit of Google search, gather whatever little information you can, wondering how the celebrity in question will be like. We hit it off well from the word 'Hello' because first of all, similar names you see, and secondly, Harleen comes across as a very warm person. My first obvious question was that how did acting happened to this pretty woman. Harleen spoke about the days when she was a dancer and during one of the projects where she was a dancer, she got the offer to do an ad film. Then one thing led to another and before she knew it, she had already done over 50 to 70 odd ad films. She is currently being seen on ALT Balaji's web series titled 'Broken But Beautiful', which Harleen explains is about how two broken people , who are stuck in time in their respective ways, meet and end up being a mirror for the other person. The love story is a mature, complicated and a layered one which takes you on a journey of its own. Amongst the name of directors who she really wants to work with, Imtiaz Ali , Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane are on top of the list. Moving to her favourite actors she'd like to share the screen with, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Ayushmann Khurrana and Vicky Kaushal made it to Harleen's list. View this post on Instagram I am. Photographer ð· @amitverma_in A post shared by Harleen Sethi (@itsharleensethi) on Nov 21, 2018 at 10:09pm PST When Vicky's name came, I had to address the elephant in the room so I was quite eager to ask about the rumours doing the rounds about this wonderful lady being the special someone in B-town's eligible bachelor Vicky Kaushal's life. For some context, the handsome actor was on Neha Dhupia's show where he was asked to dedicate a song for Harleen and he was quick to sing Diljit's 'Do You Know'. View this post on Instagram He's self obsessed and we are obsessed with him. She of course has a hearty laugh (that too a melodious, musical one), and then spills the beans on their 'bond'. 'We share a good bond, there is a kind of comfort level we have that is wonderful', she says. I ask her if she would dedicate a song for him, so she adds that Diljit's 'Putt Jatt Da' would describe him well. If you're wondering how did they meet, well, they met at a party, through common friends and connected instantly. Well, that's exactly how love stories blossom in today's age after all! We can't wait for the two 'close friends' to work together in a project soon and let their natural chemistry reflect on the screen.
  13. In February, Vivo unveiled its Apex concept phone that had the tiniest bezels we've ever seen, a motorised pop-up camera and in-display fingerprint scanner. Almost 30-35 percent of the display supported fingerprint scanning so you wouldn't even have to hunt for the right spot. Last month, Vivo globally announced the NEX, a very close sibling of the Apex concept. In fact, the company has managed to bring almost every aspect and feature of the Apex to life. The design is stunning, the front looks huge thanks to negligible bezels and chins and the motorised front camera. The phone skips out on the infamous notch and comes with Screen SoundCasting Technology that does away with the earpiece and uses the phone itself to transmit sound waves to the ear. © Vivo Vivo NEX is the first device to sport an all-screen truly bezel-less display with a screen to body ratio of 91.24 percent. Unlike the OPPO Find X, the motorised front camera is in a small tray that slides up, instead of moving the complete top region of the phone. Coming to the specifications, it features a 6.59-inch AMOLED Ultra FullView display with 1080 x 2316 Full HD+ resolution, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and 19.3:9 aspect ratio. Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset clocked at 2.7 GHz with an Adreno 630 GPU. © Vivo The rear sports a dual camera setup of 12 + 5-megapixel lenses and comes with 4-axis optical image stabilization and 4K video recording. For selfies, the front camera is an 8-megapixel shooter. Other features of the lens include Slow Motion, Backlight HDR, Live Photo, Portrait Bokeh, Panorama, Time Lapse, Face Beauty, AR Stickers, Filters. © BCCL While Vivo has globally launched two variants of the smartphone, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB Storage, in India only the first variant has been launched. Backing these internals is a 4000mAh battery that supports fast charging via USB Type-C. It runs on FunTouch OS 4.0 loaded on Android 8.1 Oreo and has an AI-based virtual assistant named Jovi along with a dedicated Jovi button. The 8GB+128GB phone is available for Rs 44,990 in India and starts shipping via online and offline channels from 21 July.
