  1. India is a big fan of superhero movies and we have only seen men playing the part mostly. It will be interesting to see a woman finally becoming a superhero in Bollywood movies. According to the recent reports, Katrina Kaif has signed a movie with Ali Abbas Zafar for which she will start shooting post the lockdown and she will be seen playing the role of superwoman. Ali Abbas Zafar said that recently, he locked that script and it will go on the floors once the lockdown ends. View this post on InstagramA post shared by (@katrinakaif) The director told Mumbai Mirror that he has completed the first draft of another movie too, and said that hopefully, the script for that movie too will be ready soon. He further said, "Thereâs a lot of prep required because of the kind of action involved and I am in touch with an international team over video calls. Iâm also doing script readings with my actors and chatting with the production designer. There is a lot happening." People on social media have already started to form their opinions. While some are excited to see her in this avatar, some have declared it a flop. ï¸OFFICIALï¸ Katrina Kaif is going to be the First SuperWomen Heroine in Movie by Ali Abbas Zafar. 3. It isnât everyday that an actor manages to cross every linguistic and cultural barrier to make a place for themselves in the hearts of millions, all at once. But Baahubali megastar Prabhas managed to pull off this feat effortlessly. He is more than just a heartthrob. Fans love his screen presence and swear by the magic he can spell with his performances. © Arka Media Works So, despite the Saaho debacle, fans didnât lose faith in their favourite star, and perhaps thatâs why people absolutely lost it when Prabhasâ project was announced yesterday. The director of the film, Nag Ashwin took to Twitter to make the official announcement and said: Shoot year end lo start...maybe 2021 end lo release...too early to say anything else, expect a big thanks to prabhas garu...kontha mandi pan-india film antunnaru...adi tappu...pan-india eppudo kottesaaru...idi pan-world darlings :)) #PrabhasNagAshwin https://t.co/9KnLQqbVgm â Nag Ashwin (@nagashwin7) February 26, 2020 Nag Ashwin who directed the superhit Telugu film Mahanati, claimed in his latest tweet that this upcoming film with Prabhas wonât be a pan-India film like most people are claiming, but instead itâll be a whole lot bigger and better to become a pan-world movie. © Twitter Though not much is known about the film, reports claim that Prabhas will be playing a superhero in the film. Thatâs not all, allegedly many big names from the entertainment industry will be part of the project, which is scheduled to go on the floors by the end of this year. © Twitter Prabhasâ mega-budget film is expected to hit the screens in late 2021, and reportedly Nag Ashwin told India Today that it wonât be a remake or a biopic. Rumour also has it that Jr NTR might be collaborating with Nag Ashwin on this film, and shall be the big project of 2020 because of the star cast that is expected to come onboard for the project. 4. Years after making his directorial debut with Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, director Ali Abbas Zafar found himself working alongside Katrina Kaif for the Salman Khan starrers, Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat. Itâs a professional relationship thatâs been quite successful at the box office and now, promises a pretty unusual and exciting prospect for Bollywood - reports now suggest that Katrina and Ali will be working together for a superhero film, with the former headlining the cast. © YouTube/Baba Siddique âAli will be directing this film and is currently finalising the script. They have been planning this project for a while now. Itâs an exciting project for both as it will showcase never-seen-before-stunts in Bollywood. Katrina is currently at her fittest and regular workouts will come in handy. The idea is to spin a franchise,â said a source to Mumbai Mirror. âOnce Ali has completed the script, he will go on a recce to scout for locations,â added the source. The film is also expected to go up later this year, with Ronnie Screwvala revealed as a potential producer. Ali meanwhile has previously spoken to the Mirror about Katrina quite highly. âWe discuss everything. On the work front, weâre very transparent with each other. If she doesnât like something Iâm doing, she lets me know and vice versa. In an industry where friendships donât last even for months, ours has continued for over a decade.â Friendships aside, thereâs serious box office power behind the duo as well. Looking at the films theyâve made together, Ali and Katrina have pulled in around 975 crores at the box office in total - not something to take lightly during production meetings. Given the unbelievable success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe across the last decade, we may just be on the cusp of something similar in Bollywood, if Ali plays his cards right. Further deepening the plot are the events of January 16th - Aliâs 38th birthday. The filmmaker hosted a party at a suburban resto-bar in Mumbai, with Katrina and Shah Rukh Khan being among the last to leave the party at around 3:30 A.M., sparking rumours of a movie plan being discussed. 6. The countdown for 'Avengers: Endgame' has already begun and Joe Russo's recent India visit has been quite eventful and only added to the insane buzz that is surrounding the finale that everyone is dying to watch. During his interaction with the media and fans, Joe Russo revealed many unknown facts and information around the movie franchise. Interestingly, he revealed that 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron' had a connection with our beloved Rajinikanth. Apparently, he was inspired by Rajnikanth's 'Robot' for a sequence in the Avengers movie. “Robot almost influenced the climatic moments in Avengers: Age of Ultron [which was directed by Joss Whedon]. In one of the final scenes, all the Ultrons were supposed to form a large Ultron and Avengers were set to fight that but the sequence got cut for time. It was this close. It was inspired directly by Robot." He also revealed that he is aware of the 'Dabangg' franchise and if he had to choose Bollywood actors for acting in his superhero movies, he'd pick Salman Khan and Rajinikanth any day. Well, there is a reason why we call him the 'Thalaiva' and the fact that even Joe Russo is inspired by the legend, it's proof enough that he is a real life super hero for everyone . 'Avengers: Endgame' is releasing on 26th April so get ready for the madness to unleash.
  7. Christian Bale undoubtedly happens to be one of our most favourite actors to portray Batman on screen, whom we love to watch pack a punch on the silver screen, and he just turned a year older today. However, even as he adds another year to his age on paper, the actor's charms and screen presence only seems to grow bigger and better with every passing day. Bale recently earned his fourth Academy Awards nomination for his performance in 'Vice', where he gave an extraordinary performance as former US Vice President Dick Cheney. Yet, we can't talk about Bale without mentioning the 'Dark Knight' trilogy. © Warner Bros Though it was back in 2005 when Christian made his first appearance as Batman in 'Batman Begins', he found himself back in the shoes of Bruce Wayne two other times - in 'The Dark Knight' and 'The Dark Knight Rises'. Bale succeeded to prove time and again that he was born to play the iconic superhero, as he stood against a slew of actors who also came to audition for the role. The list is hefty and includes names like Billy Crudup, Eion Bailey, Jake Gyllenhaal, Hugh Dancy, Joshua Jackson, Henry Cavill, Heath Ledger, Cillian Murphy and David Boreanaz. Check out this rare clip from Bale's audition to star as Batman. The video shows Bale in Val Kilmer's suit from 'Batman Forever' as he acts out his part in front of Amy Adams who was standing in for Rachel Dawes. In the video director Christopher Nolan is seen saying that, “Christian had somehow figured this (that this character was all about extraordinary iconography) out before his screen test; that you could not give a normal performance, you had to project massive energy through this costume in order to not question the costume.” © Warner Bros Christian himself seems to have felt strongly about Bruce and history, because he once told MTV that, “If you look at the history of the guy and the pain that he went through. I went 'I can't do this in a normal voice. I have to become a beast in order to sell this to myself.” It was that very rugged and loaded voice that made Bale's Batman stand out amongst all others. His 'Batman' movies earned over $2.8 million and multiple Oscars nominations as well. Nobody could have done it better, isn't it?
  8. All the accolades Captain America has, it's not only because he's the first Avenger. He's quite the looker, and anyone who disagrees is jealous or need to get their eyes checked. He can easily give even the glorious God of Thunder a run for his money in terms of the 'looks' department, and in real life, he's perhaps the ultimate fashion superhero who owns all the other Avengers. 9. We owe everything to Robert Downey Jr. No, seriously. Do you remember a time where we went without like at least two spectacular superhero movies in a year? Me neither, all thanks to Marvel and DC. It's really hard to imagine not getting kickass movies with our favourite characters everywhere and we all know who we have to thank for that, even our very own Aquaman, Jason Momoa knows. During an interview with The Toronto Sun, Jason gave the credit where it's due when he was asked about why it took so long for a mainstream solo 'Aquaman' movie to happen. Yeah, we have had Batman and Superman for ages and even the interviewer pointed it out. But Jason gave all the credit to the one character who gave birth to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Iron Man. He said, “The only thing about it now is, people want more. They've heard those other stories, and there's plenty more to tell, but they want new ones. When Batman v Superman came out and it introduced Wonder Woman, she came in and blew it open. I feel like Marvel, in its own right, has been blowing the door open with other new characters as well. I mean look what Iron Man did. That was amazing. Who knew what the hell Iron Man did? I definitely didn't. I feel like I knew more about Aquaman, and I barely knew anything about Aquaman over Iron Man (laughs). Robert Downey just came in and destroyed it. So there are all these beautiful, modern mythologies that people get inspired by and it's nice to see something different.” We all love Batman and we still do, but come on, we need more heroes, and Marvel and DC have been delivering that for so long now and the audience is loving it. It's hard to believe now but before 2008, Iron Man was not even a mainstream superhero and now it's a household name. Comic book movies have come a long way and it all can be kind of traced back to RDJ since he's the one who brought the character out of the minor leagues. What Iron Man did for Marvel ten years ago, that's what Wonder Woman did for DC. As Jason said, she came in and blew it open!
  10. I still remember my first encounter with Aquaman in the comics back when I was a kid, and I must admit, I did not find anything 'super' about this superhero. via GIPHY That orange costume and blond hair were just not helping. Plus, something about being in water just did not get my motor running, as compared to Flash or Batman, both of whom were my ultimate DC superheroes. Remember that scene from 'The Big Bang Theory' when no one wanted to dress up as Aquaman for Halloween? Well, they had a reason! via GIPHY I never imagined I would be associating Aquaman with the word 'cool', I mean, come on, Atlantean King with a bigass trident? Talks to fish? And that god-awful orange and green outfit was never going to get Arthur Curry on my list. Little did I know I was about to be sucker-punched by Jason Momoa. via GIPHY 'Batman v Superman' and 'Justice League' already introduced us to a badass Arthur Curry, listening to rock music and downing whiskey like water. However, 'Aquaman' took it a notch higher and ensured that DC was about to find its coolest superhero ever. via GIPHY Now, I knew what to expect before I entered the hall. Crazy visuals, a super beefy Arthur Curry, bad fish guys and the usual rigmarole involved in a superhero flick, but I was also wary, because it's DC so there's got to be a heavy dose of angst, and also I had been tripping on Marvel for some time now. Which is why 'Aquaman' hit me so hard, as nothing could have prepared me for what I was about to watch. via GIPHY The multiple trailers had already whetted my appetite, with Momoa having my complete undivided attention (can you blame me?), but what the trailers did not even give a hint about is what makes 'Aquaman' the coolest DC movie ever: Visuals. via GIPHY Believe me, when I say this, the CGI is so damn good that at one point my vertigo and hydrophobia started acting up. Also, since most of the movie is about Atlantis and about being in the ocean, I was ready for some passable effects but James Wan has pulled off such a brilliant job here, that you will have a tough time pulling your jaw back up from the ground. via GIPHY Every single fish, every seaweed to even the details of the very water is so perfect, that it lets you forgive the slight gaping holes in the storyline. I mean, I really wanted to see more of Arthur's childhood and the origin of his powers, but I did not mind it because damn, his training sequences were so spectacular, that I just had to forgive this teeny-tiny flaw. via GIPHY " It was like a kid entering a candy story!" via GIPHY The fights and the action scenes, especially, have been executed brilliantly, ensuring that every single movement looks realistic, which is damn hard considering 90 per cent is happening under water. via GIPHY No power on earth can drag my hydrophobic ass in a submarine and take a tour of the ocean, but 'Aquaman' came real damn close to give an almost similar experience, that's how good the details are. via GIPHY Okay, let's get to the real star of the movie here- Jason Momoa. Man, he is making it so hard for me right now to stay devoted to 'Wonder Woman'. I can't believe I am actually having a mental war over my loyalty to Diana, thanks to the entry of another royalty. via GIPHY But Momoa has done a brilliant job of having just the right amount of angst a DC hero needs, along with liberal doses of pure awesomeness. via GIPHY The natural swagger that he displays as Arthur lets him pull off even the cheesiest of lines, especially when he is with the gorgeous Mera (Amber Heard). via GIPHY Being a superhero means having some heavy-ass lines talking about 'revenge' and 'glory' and in some cases, 'Martha' (please don't murder me in my bed.) But those lines roll off Momoa's tongue without making you cringe at all. via GIPHY Can I say 'Aquaman' is the best DC movie ever? Hmmm, well, no way in hell is Christian Bale moving from my No. 1 spot. But is 'Aquaman' the coolest DC movie ever? I can't see why not. Yes, 'Suicide Squad' had its charms but 'Aquaman' has ticked off on all categories to become DC's new saving grace. via GIPHY Okay. Mild spoilers ahead, so please proceed at your own risk. The ending ensured that 'Aquaman' will have a sequel and that is nothing but good news. Also, people, get ready to see the best on-screen kiss ever. I mean, this is going to the first time in history, where people are going to be focusing on everything else but mostly the kiss. Yea, you'll understand what I'm saying when you see it for yourself. Also, most importantly, there IS a post-credit scene, so please don't walk out like muggles. Please!
  11. Shah Rukh Khan is known for much more than his killer screen presence and intense acting. His friends and fans admire him for his charming ways, witty remarks and a honest persona that resonates with millions. Thus it comes as no surprise that SRK is also called the “King of words” and has his own way with them. Women swoon at the sight of him, but many of them get swayed by the witty and wise gems he drops every now and then. © Reuters Today, on King of romance's 53rd birthday, we list down 53 brilliant things that ever came outta his mouth. We loved compiling it, and we're sure these words will motivate and inspire you equally. 1. “There's no such thing as 'normal'. That's just another word for lifeless. Madness (of the particularly nice/romantic kind) is an absolute prerequisite to a happy and successful life.” Embrace your weirdness, we're all for it too! 2. “Don't become a philosopher before you become rich.” Makes sense you see. So that if things go amuck, at least we'll have the money to save our sorry arse. 3. Laziness isn't merely a physical phenomenon about being a couch potato, stuffing your face with fries and watching cricket all day. It's a mental thing, too, and that's the part I have never aspired for.” SRK wants us to keep those brain cells well oiled and working. 4. “It's okay to be confused. Confusion is the route to all clarity in the world.” Next time, don't lose heart when things seem a little messy. © Reuters 5. “Money is a good thing to run after. It is very important to be financially stable but you have to keep your wrongs and rights in mind. Don't shy away from earning but without selling your soul.” Gotta stay true to ourselves, and our work. 6. “You come across lots of people all the time but you only make very few friends and you have to be true to them otherwise what's the point in life?” Like they say, love thy neighbour but love your BFFs more. 7. “Wherever I fail as a father or a husband...a toy and a diamond always works.” Ah, that's a tip we don't mind following. 8. “Jo kuch nahi karte, woh kamaal karte hain.” We dearly wish this is true! 9. “Without hurting anybody, we all tend to laugh at others' discomfort. When someone slips on a banana skin and falls it's funny.” Calling a spade a spade, as per usual. © Reuters 10. “If you aren't charged up about doing something, if you don't have what in Hindi we call the “Josh”, the fire in your belly for it, then don't do it.” Got to fire up that passion, right? 11. “Whatever it is that pulling you back, is not going away unless you stand up and start forging your path in the opposite direction. Stop whining and start moving.” Crying over spilt milk was never a good idea anyway. 12. “Art is more important than the artist – have no attachment to your own art. It is regressive, move on.” Like King Khan we have to keep our eyes on that next big goal. 13. “A moment will come when there isn't anything that's going right. But don't panic. With a little embarrassment, you will survive it. All you have to do is make a move and move on a bit.” Let's make laughing at ourselves easier and get over failures © Reuters 14. “Those who do not need to provide or have not built the vehicles of their own sustenance, can afford to be less hardworking and driven than those who carry the burden of necessity.” The need of the hour always brings out the best in us. 15. “There's a whole form of literature in India which talks about the quest for the perfect man by a woman, where every woman looks for a perfect man but only ends up with half that.” Well, as bitter a taste as that might leave on our tongue, some of it is true. 16. “You know, I think we Indians are afraid to show and celebrate our happiness, lest things change around. But I feel that it's okay to be sad and okay to show when you are happy.” Let's celebrate what we've got. 17. “It's not necessary that the world will accept your creativity but don't give up on it yet.” Kuch toh log kahenge, logo ka kaam hai kehna. 18. “The reason I'm good to fans and I believe in them is because I am employed by them.” That's why we love you right back, SRK! © Reuters 19. “Every morning I wake up and think of the same thing that this is the first shot of my life so I better make it stick.” After all, we have to be our own cheerleaders. 20. “When you get to be 50, you will know that the bulk of your regrets are from not having done what you wished to do.” How often have we been told to follow our heart? 21. “You can't force people to love you.” Sooner we understand this, the better. 22. “I don't teach my children what is Hindu and what is Muslim.” Yes, we are Indians first and foremost. 23. “As an adult, I have come to understand that there is nothing of more value than your capacity for diligence and your ability to work hard.” Sure we all know that hard work always pays. © Reuters 24. “Whether people like it or not, my marketing thought is if you keep something in front of people for too long, they get used to it.” Distance makes the heart grow fonder, and memory stronger. 25. “Whatever you do in life, do it like it's your first and last time, and you won't get another chance.” Giving our best in everything we do is vital. 26. “If you live by your fears, everything that could go wrong will go wrong.” If we think about it, it really does make sense. We'll mess things up all by ourselves. 27. “Relationships kill love. Relationships have rule. And rules are misinterpreted.” That was deep. 28. “Making the mistake of thinking your dreams will take flight without you having to flap madly at those wings to get up into the sky, is plain silly.” Success comes to those who dare to take the leap. © Reuters 29. “Destiny plays a part for sure and no one can teach us either how to find it or how to chase it.” Can't leave it all on luck, can we? 30. “A 'perfect life' is a farce. God isn't making utopian ad films and screening them on the clouds to sell its USP to you. It's a man-made idea and we're buying into it all the time!” Life was never meant to be perfect, it's not SRK. 31. “The mind is the seed of creativity but the heart is the soil. That cannot grow without an open heart.” We can't survive without either. 32. "To lead means to inspire, and you cannot inspire people mechanically or through numericals. Inspiration is an emotional construct." Leadership is a quality very few people possess. 33. “Learn to laugh at yourself, at every chance you get. Failure makes you humble.” Saving the best for the last. The guy is such an inspiration!
  12. Superhero movies may be condemned for their high use of CGI and less of dramatic or real-life plots, but the same genre entertains a huge chunk of audiences across the globe. This fact is quite evident in the box office collections of the films in this genre. All the top five films finding their place in the highest-grossing list belong to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which has crossed $17 billion collectively from 20 films to date. 1. Avengers – Infinity War Box Office - $2.038 billion as of 9th July 2018 No surprises here, as we all know 'Avengers: Infinity War' was the first of its kind and one of the most ambitious superhero films to date, drawing storylines from 18 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It broke every box-office opening record to date with quite a huge margin. Let us have a look at the box-office records created by 'Avengers Infinity War' – . Biggest worldwide opening weekend and single weekend gross – $640.5 million beating Fate of The Furious' $541.9 million . Biggest opening weekend in the United States and Canada – $257.7 million . Fastest to cross $1 billion worldwide in 11 days and $1.5 billion in 18 days . Highest grossing superhero movie and of 2018 – $2.038 billion as of 9th July 2018 . Highest number of 4DX admissions. It was the first movie to reach two million admissions . Fourth highest grossing film of all time as of 9th July 2018 It also created a splash in India by becoming the highest grossing Hollywood film to date with INR 225 crores surpassing Disney's 'The Jungle Book' at the box office and the first ever to cross INR 200 crores. 2. The Avengers Box Office - $1.519 billion The film from where everything in MCU began to shape up. 'The Avengers' brought a team of six superheroes – Iron Man, Black Widow, Captain America, Thor, Hulk and Hawkeye, together for the first time, fighting against Loki and the alien invaders, Chitauris. At the time of release, 'Avengers' not only crossed $1.519 billion in global receipts but also went on to become the third highest-grossing film of all time. 3. Avengers – Age of Ultron Box Office - $1.405 billion The second instalment in the Avengers franchise, 'Age of Ultron' brought chaos in the city of Slovakia with the artificial intelligence defense program – Ultron. Though the movie met with a polarized reception from audiences and critics alike, as it fell short of the audience's expectations, it still raked in $1.405 billion globally. The film debuted at the 5th position in the highest-grossing films at the time of its release and presently stands at the 8th position. 4. Black Panther Box Office - $1.346 billion The highest grossing superhero origins movie of all time with an all-black cast, 'Black Panther' defied all box office expectations and went on to become the 9th highest-grossing film with 1.346 billion box-office collections worldwide. It also went on to become the 3rd highest grossing film in the United States and Canada with $699.88 million only after 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' and 'Avatar'. 5. Iron Man 3 Box Office - $1.215 billion Following the gigantic success of 'The Avengers', Marvel found itself facing the huge task to fulfil fans' expectations, and no other superhero could replicate the success single-handedly, except for Iron Man. Shane Black directed 'Iron Man 3' which collected $1.215 billion at the global box office, riding high on the success of 'The Avengers' and also kick-started the second-phase in the MCU.
  13. Salman Khan is gearing up to welcome 'vichitra jodis' in 'Bigg Boss' 12, but looks like he forgot to invite one of the most interesting and entertaining jodis of this year - Radhika Apte and Netflix India. In fact, Netflix India is quite possessive about Radhika and the savagery with which it has been replying to people trolling her, proves the same. When you open Netflix these days. pic.twitter.com/z0JawlbLPm — Bade Chote (@badechote) August 27, 2018 Talking about Netflix, can you guess what's common between Netflix and Marvel? If you're thinking the answer is Radhika Apte, you're wrong. It's their love for the Indian diaspora and enjoying a huge fan base here. I mean the success of 'Avengers: Infinity War' speaks volumes about how much people love Marvel superheroes. And it is this love that has now enticed Marvel to create India based content, with major emphasis on Indian culture. © Marvel In an exclusive interview with Indian Express, Marvel's VP-Creative Development, Stephen Wacker spoke about Marvel's plans for its Indian audience and while we don't know about the story plot, we do know which actor is going to be a part of that project. Stephen said, "If we make Indian content, we have to put Shah Rukh Khan. He has to be in it." He further added, "I can't speak for the movies. If we have stories set in different countries, the goal is always to use actors from that part of the world." View this post on Instagram Switzerland main aake yeh na kiya toh kya kiya...?! Will Shah Rukh Khan disappear too at the snap of Thanos' fingers? Will he be a superhero whose powers are his 'arms wide open'? Will he be Ra.One's distant cousin? Will Marvel include an item song in their movie? I guess only time will tell. Source: Indian Express
  14. Not all heroes wear capes, some don the uniform of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and do not think twice before risking their lives to save others. And one such hero was spotted in Kerala, which is currently battling one of the worst flash floods seen in the state's history. Amidst the worsening situation, there's one video that has emerged as a silver lining and proves that nothing can wash away Kerala's fighting spirit. We're talking about the video that has been going viral on social media, where a man can be seen running across a sinking bridge with a child in his arms. He is holding a kid in his hands to save it's life. He took the risk knowingly that one more shutter of Idukki dam has opened and water can swallow the bridge within minutes. His name is Kanhaiya Kumar and he is from Bihar. Kerala salutes the brave soldier. @NitishKumar pic.twitter.com/xGoFWwNErw — SANDEEP. G. VARIER (@sandeepvarier) August 11, 2018 Kanhaiya Kumar, an NDRF team member, saw a man with a child seeking help from the other side of the Cheruthoni Bridge near the Idukki Dam, whose five shutters were opened last week after 26 years. The moment he saw the man, Kumar ran towards the child, picked him up and ran towards safety. The bridge submerged in minutes after they crossed it. The video was captured by News18 Kerala and Malayala Manorama. Valiant effort by NDRF constable Kanhaiya Kumar to rescue a child before the water level reached dangerous levels...a heartening scene from the flood affected Kerala... A BIG salute to all those men and women out there who are trying to bring the affected lives back to normalcy pic.twitter.com/Hz26bpVQYS — santhosh kottayi (@kottayimavoor) August 12, 2018 Kumar told NDTV, "I did not even have time to ask who the man was. I knew they had to cross and they were scared. They were many people on the side I was standing. Politicians, locals, officials, but nothing else mattered to me and I dashed off, carried the kid, and ran back, with the father following me." Kumar, who has been working for six years has been trained in deep-diving from the fourth battalion of NDRF at Arakkonam, Tamil Nadu. In fact, he has been a part of several disaster rescue missions and relief operations across India. Like a proud father, NDRV sub-inspector Mahavir Singh said, "My team and I are very proud of Kanhaiya. It's not just for himself. He has brought appreciation not just for himself, but the entire NDRF." Instances like these and people like Kanhaiya Kumar reinstill our hope in humanity.

  16. Not all superheroes wear a cape – a very common saying but it didn't fully make sense until now, when we're talking about all the good deeds done by the one and only Wonder Woman. I feel like it's a long-standing tradition for every actor playing a superhero to go and use that character as a way to make kids happy and Gal Gadot has also joined this incredible league. We can all agree that Gal Gadot is an amazing person and now everyone loves her even more after she made all the kids' day at a children's hospital. 17. Deepika Padukone is ruling Bollywood right now and there is no one not in awe of her incredible journey to the top. From being the most beautiful diva to entertaining us with her versatile roles, she is a heartthrob capable of stunning us with everything she does. Her last film 'Padmaavat' was a massive success and viewers couldn't get enough of her portrayal of the indomitable Rani Padmini. Her raw beauty and spectacular performance swept everyone away. © SLB Films For a while, people were speculating that she has no film in her kitty, but putting all the floating rumours and reports to rest, she has finally signed a big movie. If reports are to be believed, she will be seen in a 'Wonder Woman' kind of avatar. Produced by Fox Star, the movie will bring India's first female superhero-dedicated movie on the big screen, and we are having trouble containing ourselves right now. © Paramount Pictures We absolutely loved watching Gal Gadot kicking some major butt in 'Wonder Woman' and we can't wait to see Deepika similarly breaking into some high octane action sequences like never before. Just like us, Deepika is also quite excited about the movie as well. Talking about the film, a source told Filmfare, “After going through several scripts, Deepika has finally locked one and this is a massive superhero film. Deepika will have various action scenes which fans haven't seen her doing before. The untitled film will be produced by Fox Star and she's quite excited about it already.” In a country, where we have seen superhero movies like 'Krrish', and 'Flying Jatt', Bollywood is yet to make a film with a female superhero and this looks like their first step in the right direction. © Twitter Talking about Indian superheroes, Vikramaditya Motwane is coming up with 'Bhavesh Joshi Superhero' starring Harshvardhan Kapoor, which looks like the tale of our desi daredevil. Could these be the Indian superhero movies we never knew we needed? Only time will tell. But, at present, all we can say is that this definitely is the movie we wouldn't want to miss and have high expectations from.
  18. Spoilers ahead, you know the drill. Don't @ me in the comments. If you've seen 'Deadpool 2', you know it was just two hours of elaborate and hilarious pop culture references. And, don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I don't think anyone would have to say anything bad about this movie. It has everything – comedy, action, superheroes, villains, and obviously Ryan Reynolds. And, some of the best parts of the movie were obviously Deadpool being Deadpool and trolling each and every other superhero (or villain), be it DC or Marvel, or even himself. Here, we have some of the best instances of 'Deadpool 2' living up to our expectations – actually going even beyond – and giving us some of the most hilarious lines ever and trolling everyone else in the process. 1. “Grumpy old fucker with a 'Winter Soldier' arm.” Wow, it was almost as if Bucky was right there. I thought Rocket was planning to steal Bucky's arm in 'Avengers: Infinity War' but looks like Cable got to it first. Does his time travelling device also work as a portal to other universes? 2. “I'm Batman!” I'm not exaggerating when I say the whole theatre laughed at this point. Two simple words gave us one of the best scenes in the entire movie. Deadpool doesn't care if you're from Marvel or DC, he doesn't discriminate, he's going to endlessly troll you. 3. “Give me a bow and arrow. I'm basically Hawkeye!” Not only was Hawkeye not a part of 'Infinity War', the biggest Marvel Cinematic Universe movie yet, but he also had to be disrespected like this by Deadpool. 4. “Zip it, black Black Widow” We all love Black Widow, she's a badass in and out. And, after 'Deadpool 2', we have the same feelings about our very own black Black Widow – Domino. Maybe she can be the lucky Black Widow? 5. “So dark, you sure you're not from the DC universe?” Yes, this hilarious jab was in the trailer, but it was even better on the big screen. Remember when I said that no one was safe from our favourite anti-hero? 6. “Hey, big guy. Sun's gettin' real low.” Remember how Black Widow said this to the Hulk in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' in an attempt to calm him down? Even Deadpool tried that on the Juggernaut, but obviously that didn't work. For someone who loves to troll the hell out of Marvel, he sure seems like a huge fanboy. 7. “Brown Panther” It was about time when something related to Dopinder made it onto this list. First of all, he's the best character in the movie. Second of all, he really is the best character in the movie. 8. “Zip it, Thanos.” We all know how much Deadpool loves to break the fourth wall (remember all the comments about lazy writing?) and this one was the best. Let's start a conspiracy theory – maybe that time travelling device actually helps Cable go to different universes and he's actually Thanos, but he's just posing as Cable here. 9. That post credits scene Ryan Reynolds' appearance in 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' was quite forgettable, but Deadpool now just wants to make sure that scene is completely erased from this world. And, he succeeds, thanks to 'Justin Bieber' and 'Pinkie Pie'. 10. That other post credit scene HE. KILLS. HIMSELF. He literally kills himself before he can do that godawful 'Green Lantern' movie. Now, if that isn't the ultimate troll, then I don't know what is. Follow the author on Instagram for more cool content.
  19. After the insane success of 'Avengers: Infinity War' at the box-office, all the remaining superheroes have now returned to their respective abodes, leading their mundane lives. Talking of superheroes, all this while, Deadpool aka Ryan Reynolds enjoyed the status of being the undisputed and unconquered king of humour and wit on social media. But, now that he is busy promoting 'Deadpool 2', another superhero is slowly catching up to snatch the crown away from Reynolds and his latest Instagram post is proof. We are talking about Chris Hemsworth. © fox studios While we take a dig at our friends every now and then for kicks, things are always more interesting when our beloved celebrities troll each other. And this brings us to Hemsworth, who recently took a dig at none other than The Rock aka Dwayne Johnson. The world is familiar with The Rock's insane popularity on social media and how he loves to post videos of him talking to his fans, during his workout sessions. So, the son of Odin decided to take a cue from him, or in his words take a leaf out of The Rock's book, to thank his fans for supporting 'Avengers: Infinity War'. © marvel studios He reaches out for a dumbbell and says, “Just taking a leaf out of The Rock's book, every time he does a post he's in the gym, so I'm just gonna do a couple of curls while we're chatting.” Avengers now the highest grossing super hero movie of all time, I'll say again thank you thank you thank you everyone for supporting this little community theatre production ðððªð¤ðâ¡ï¸âï¸@marvel @avengers @TheRock pic.twitter.com/FNdBFUbnxp — Chris Hemsworth (@chrishemsworth) May 16, 2018 Thor then went ahead and challenged The Rock on social media and there is no way Dwayne was going to stay silent. The Rock proceeded to post his reply and we're already low-key hoping for some kickass and hilarious battle of words to start on social media. He said, “First of all, if you're truly going to take a page outta my book when shooting gym videos, then you'd be naked from the waist down. Never mind. TMI. A huge congrats to you brotha. You just made history! Very proud and happy for you and the team!” Guys, did y'all take note of what The Rock just said? His handbook seems to be the best thing in the world. First of all, of you're truly going to take a page outta my book when shooting gym videos, then you'd be naked from the waist down. Never mind. TMI. A HUGE congrats to you brotha. You just made history! Very proud and happy for you and the team!! #Avengers #Marvel ðªð¾ https://t.co/cxNlPDAMxa — Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) May 16, 2018 After The Rock made his first move in the battle of words, we were waiting for Thor (with bated breath) to comment. He did oblige and let's just say, we're super impressed. Thor teased The Rock and everyone watching their conversation by saying, “Thank you mate, but who says I was wearing pants? You may have noticed I was strategically shooting from the waist up.” Thank you mate, but who says I was wearing pants? You may have noticed I was strategically shooting from the waist up ððð https://t.co/hsiP5o1fvP — Chris Hemsworth (@chrishemsworth) May 16, 2018 Take a bow Thor, take a bow. You just won this battle and proved that Thor is always going to be stronger than The Rock, because he has the hammer.

  22. Kids these days might pass out laughing if they saw how the Hulk or Iron Man looked when they first hit the screen years ago, however, their little smirks would be wiped out when they learn that there were no such things as VFX back then, and to create a superhero movie in such conditions was a Herculean task indeed. The process of movie making has drastically and dramatically changed over the years, and superhero movies are the best example to see that beautiful journey. From crazy VFX to unbelievable CGI, movies continue to keep pushing the boundaries of creativity and ingenuity and it is a marvel to witness that. Coming back to superheroes, have you ever wondered how they have transformed from their original appearance when they made their on-screen debut to date? The world of superheroes has evolved over the years. From entertaining us, making us laugh to teaching us some life lessons, they have always made us believe in good. They have been here for a very long time, shaping our childhood. Today, we bring you 'then and now' look of your favourite ones. The way they looked many, many decades ago will leave you stunned. 23. Ever since we heard that Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel is all set to make her debut, we are in overdrive trying to find out as much as we can before she comes to the aid of the mighty Avengers. Well, we do want to know anything and everything about her, before 'Avengers 4' hits the screen. After all, why be unprepared? Possible spoilers lie ahead. Proceed at your own risk! In the post credit scene of 'Infinity War', all we got to see was her symbol on Nick Fury's...ahem...pager, when he reached out to her for aid as Thanos had wiped out half of the Avengers after attaining all the infinity stones. We bet there are various questions in your head about her background. And here we are with a list of facts that will leave you both shocked and impressed at the same time. Believe it or not, she is the most kick-a** superhero you have ever come across, who can give anyone a run for their money with what she is capable of 1. From The US Air Force To NASA © Marvel In the late 1960s when Carol Danvers was introduced, she was not a superhero but a member of the U.S. Air Force. At 18, she joined the military and soon became a Major. Over various comics, she has worked at the CIA, where she met S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Nick Fury. Later she took the role of the security chief of NASA. Well, for a fraction of the time, she was also an editor for The Daily Bugle's women subsidiary. 2. Becoming Ms. Marvel © Marvel When she was at NASA, she met the Kree superhero Mar-Vell and was exposed to a damaged Kree device called the Psyche-Magnetron. This device reconstructed every cell in her body, giving her unbelievable superpowers. And that's how she became Ms. Marvel. 3. The Link Between 'Avengers' And 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' © Marvel As per the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Danvers is the link between the 'Avengers' and the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' films. However, recently the screenplay writer of 'Captain Marvel' stated that there will be changes made in her original story, so her story is different than that of DC's 'Green Lantern'. 4. Teamed Up With A Range Of Superheroes © Marvel While most superheroes are just part of one clan, she works differently. She is part of the Avengers, New Avengers, and she was a Mighty Avenger (eventually led the team). From the Defenders, the X-Men to Guardians of the Galaxy, she has worked with everyone. Her another hero persona, Binary, has also worked with Starjammers (a group of space pirates). 5. Protector Of The Earth © Marvel At present, she is working as the member of the Ultimates, whose major work is to find and sabotage any threats before it hits the Earth. 6. An Insane Number Of Powers © Marvel When it comes to numbers of powers and abilities, Carol Danvers has an insane set of them. Before she got these superpowers, she was already an established pilot and military officer. Her original set of skills were enhanced thanks to the superpower. Her list includes super strength, energy absorption, the ability to fly, psychic powers energy projection, and durability. 7. Meet Her Binary Persona © Marvel In fact, her Binary persona has some magnificent powers. She can survive in space, have cosmic powers, can capture the power of the white hole and a lot more than we can imagine. Would we love to see her Binary persona? Hell, yes! 8. Team Iron Man Or Not © Marvel While she hasn't made an appearance in the film yet, she has always been an integral part of Marvel's 'Civil War'. She was initially on team Iron Man in the comics. However, in Civil War II she had her own fighting ideology battle opposite Iron Man. 9. First Female Superhero Film © Marvel Captain Marvel, when the movie goes on the floor, will be the first female superhero in the MCU to get a solo film.
