  1. Dino Morea is turning 43, and he still continues to be the reason for the collective weak knees for a large number of women in the country (let's just say worldwide, tbh). When it comes to good looking men, he has always been the forerunner - right from the '90s, and nothing has changed even after decades. He is still as fit, as fashionable, and as charming, and here are 10 pictures that prove that. 1. His outfit at DeepVeer's reception was one for the books, in terms of how to wear a basic suit that looks like a million bucks. (c) Instagram/thedinomorea 2. Bandana for a tie? Bring it on. 2. Mary Kom recently booked her spot in the pages of history with her 6th consecutive win in a boxing championship at the AIBA Women's World Championships. Manipur-born Mary Kom is by far one the greatest boxing champions the country has seen in recent times and it is not just her talent in the boxing ring that's commendable. © Instagram The entire nation has witnessed her grit and determination time and again, but her skills on display at every championship is an absolute treat to the eyes. Her moves are lethal and so craftily planted that the opponent hardly truly recovers from her take. However, if you felt that boxing is the only talent Mary Kom boasts of, you couldn't have been more wrong! Recently, at an event where Mary Kom was in attendance, the boxer took to the stage and sang her own rendition of the classic Lata Mangeshkar song, 'Ajeeb Dastan Hai Yeh' from the movie 'Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai'. Her soulful rendition of the song was well received by everyone present at the event, as she serenaded to the karaoke music of the song. The video has since gone viral across various social media platform. Imagine the amount of talent she possesses! She really is a complete package, and sure has a lot of feathers added to her hat. We shall be looking forward to seeing more of her hidden talents in the time to come, but in the meantime we're celebrating her massive win just like the rest of the country.
  3. Before we delve into this, first, I need to get something out of the way. NAAAAAAAAAAAAAINSGONYAMABAGITHIBABA. Okay. I had to do that. Anyone who has watched the nineties classic 'The Lion King' knows that this powerful opening Zulu chant, with the rising sun in the backdrop, calling out to all the animals in Pride Lands, is nothing short of perfection. I still get goosebumps. At one point, it even was my alarm back in college! I still remember the first time I saw the movie. I was 6 and I had gone to spend the holidays at my aunt's place in Bangalore. I was particularly out of control that day and my aunt, who was on the verge on losing her mind, plonked me down in front of the TV and popped a videotape into the VCR, asking me to quietly watch the 'cartoon'. The 'word' cartoon was enough for me to shut up and fix my complete attention on the giant Onida TV. I will never forget how my heart started beating faster when the Zulu chant began and I saw all the animals wake from their slumber and make their way to Pride Rock to meet their future king. I was only 6 and this was my first Disney movie, so obviously I was not ready for the avalanche of emotions that this movie engulfed me in. I still remember how Mufasa's death destroyed me and how the tears wouldn't stop, as I watched little Simba desperately try to wake his dad up by tugging his ear… okay, I need a moment…sorry…I can't…. If you are with me so far, you know how much this movie means to us nineties kids. It opened us up to the world of Disney and introduced us to the magic of animation. “When I was a child, I wouldn't eat unless my parents played Lion King. Seeing the new trailer filled me with childhood nostalgia,” said my 25-year-old junior from college, Jacinth Miriyam. Which is why it goes without saying that the people most excited for the live-action remake of the classic movies, even more so than kids, are adults, and here's why: 1. A Throwback To Our Golden Childhood So, when the trailer dropped today and I heard James Earl Jones' magnificent, sonorous Mufasa voice saying “Everything the light touches, is our kingdom”…it was like someone had pressed a button in my brain and I was 6 all over again. This movie signifies a time gone by, a time of innocence, a time when childhood meant watching animated movies with our mouths hanging open, marvelling at a whole another world. “For me, The Lion King instantly represents my childhood. It was my favourite movie ever at that time. It made me laugh, cry and feel anger at the same time. I think this movie teaches resilience in all of its purity, and that's what makes it immortal and so loved”, my friend Chiara Lana from Italy told me when I asked her what she felt about watching it again. 2. Watching It On The Big Screen After Almost 20 Years I am not among the lucky ones who got to see this movie on the big screen (my first movie in a theatre was 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun'!). So, watching it in a live-action format on a giant screen will not only make this special, but in a way, I will be able to make up to my little self who missed this marvel on a big screen. “Watching movies in halls was still a novel concept back in the day, at least for my family. So now that I get to see it again, even though in a different format, somehow I feel like I have honoured my childhood by catching up on what I missed out all those years ago.”- James Matthew, my 28-year-old buddy from school. 3. A Need To Remember All The Emotions We Felt When We Saw It The First Time I was only 6, so obviously I was not prepared for so many things. The hurt I felt at Scar's betrayal, the devastation at Mufasa's death, the joy at Simba re-uniting with Nala and his mother, the horror at watching Simba and Scar fight, and the exhilaration at Simba finally climbing up Pride Rock to take his place…it was a roller-coaster that a tiny little me did not see coming. I will never forget how I ran up to my aunt after the movie ended and demanded some serious answers from her, especially as to how could a lion kill his own brother? I will never forget her face when I asked her “Will you do this to me too, auntie?” My 29-year-old friend from college, Shruti Menon, echoed the same sentiments, “Mufasa's death was so unpredictable and heartbreaking especially when you're watching as a kid. It really shook me as a child and still does, to be honest. But when you grow older, you do realise there's so much strength and beauty to the story, to remember who you are and where you come from. After all, it's the circle of life.” 4. The Beautiful Soundtrack I am pretty sure this is going to be a sing-a-long movie, as 90 per cent of the people in the hall will be comprised of adults, who already know all the songs from the movie by-heart! I'll be lying if I tell you that I'm not going to brush up on my lyrics before I catch the movie. “Oh, I just can't wait to be kiiiiiiiiiiiiing”. 5. Timon And Pumba They were, still are, and always will be my favourite set of friends/sidekicks in a Disney movie (Mushu from 'Mulan' coming in second). I mean, come on! They are basically the life of the movie and I have never seen anything like them till date in a film. From finding a half-dead Simba as a cub, to raising him and teaching him to find the joys of life, to ultimately watching him transform from their goofy friend to the mighty King of the Jungle, Timon and Pumba are the epitome of true friendship and by God, I wanted a pet pig after watching the movie back then. The new trailer that was dropped today has left nineties kid across the planet screaming. Baby Simba looks so freaking cute! It is so satisfying in every way and each and every CGI animal looks like perfection. Honestly, even if this movie had dropped when I was like 50 or something, my excitement levels would still have been the same. This movie is a representation of my glorious childhood, which I am proud to say that kids these days will never, ever get to experience, no matter how much they try. It goes without saying that 'The Lion King' is going to be a success as there is no chance of failure anywhere. The cast itself is nothing short of iconic and has my Goddess BEYONCE in it as Nala! So, all I can do now is mentally prepare myself for next year, so that I still have my sanity intact by the end of the movie, and am not left a crying, quivering, destroyed mess of a woman!
  4. Yesterday, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 6 Pro in India and releasing the device so soon wasn't really expected. If we consider Xiaomi's launch pattern for the Note series so far, the Note 4 was launched in Q1 2017 followed by the Note 5 in Q1 2018. We were expecting the Note 5 Pro's successor to come early next year. Instead of launching one phone per year, it has decided to go with two phones per year in the same series. This is in line with industry trends like OnePlus releasing two every year. In the midrange segment, this makes even more sense because the competitors are constantly launching new phones with better offerings. © Xiaomi Earlier, the difference between the incumbent and the successor used to be major. We'd see specs bump, software upgrades, as well as design changes. Now with the new launch flow, we see the phones have minor upgrades. So, what's new in the Redmi Note 6 Pro? 1. The design remains the same on the back, but you'll see a notched display on the front. The display is now slightly bigger at 6.26-inches instead of 6-inch. Due to the notch, the aspect ratio has been changed from 18:9 to 19:9. The slightly larger display area means the screen-to-body ratio too has been bumped to 81 percent. 2. The phone ships out of the box with MIUI 10 and brings in gesture support, picture-in-picture mode, new recent menu, Android Pie like volume slider, and AI performance enhancements. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is already receiving the update OTA (over the air). © Xiaomi 3. The Redmi Note 6 Pro has a slightly better dual camera setup on the rear consisting of a 20-megapixel primary shooter with f/1.9 and a 5-megapixel secondary lens with f/2.2. The front too now has a dual camera setup with a 20+2-megapixel combo. 4. The rear camera comes with dual pixel phase detection autofocus, AI scene detection, studio lighting, adjustable bokeh, and improved portrait mode. Using AI, not only can the phone add a bokeh effect but also completely change the background into 6 presets. After a preset is applied, you can also further change the type of lighting overlay. This opens up the option of having much more customization and using the same depth sensor, newer edits can be applied. One neat feature on the #RedmiNote6Pro, you can remove unwanted things from the background. pic.twitter.com/mBhhj3iCMq — Akshay Bhalla (@Bhallanator) November 22, 2018 5. The processor remains the same at Snapdragon 636, which powered the Redmi Note 5 Pro as well. Everyone expected the phone to get a processor bump, but is it really needed? The chipset is powerful enough to fuel a midrange phone and it becomes easier for Xiaomi to roll-out updates. The base hardware configuration of the Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Note 6 Pro remains the same, and both can receive timely updates. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla Now, obviously, if a company is launching a "new" product, we naturally expect it to boast new features. And, the Redmi Note 6 Pro does bring quite a few. Xiaomi hasn't removed any of its features from the Note 5 Pro, and has just added new ones on the top. The notch's existence has always been controversial and it depends on one's choice. The deal is even sweeter when we consider the launch price. The base variant with 4GB+64GB configuration starts at Rs 13,999 and the second option with 6GB+64G configuration costs Rs 15,999.
  5. Aah, the dic... umm, erection measuring competition continues. Ever since the Statue of Unity was unveiled, it has become a race to decide who can match up or beat it. (Pun was not actually intended, but if it fits, it fits.) First there was news of Karnataka state government proposing a 350 feet tall statue of Mother Cauvery which would cost Rs 1200 crore, and now there's a new player in the game of erections. Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has now stated that the proposed Andhra Pradesh Assembly building at Amaravati will be taller than the Statue of Unity by 68 metres. It's not a statue but it is still being compared to the Statue of Unity since after it's completion, the assembly building will be the tallest structure in the country. © BCCL The final design is almost finalized and the Assembly will basically have three floors and a tower spiralling 250 metres into the sky. The structure will be shaped like an upside-down lily flower, according to minister for municipal administration P Narayana. Moreover, there will be two galleries – the first one at 80 metres accommodating 300 people and the second one at 250 metres accommodating 20 people and will give a view of Amaravati city. © BCCL Here's what people on Twitter are saying about this - I have been saying that it's a competition for so long. 6. The very mention of Thanksgiving in the company of millennials conjures merry stills from popular American sitcoms such as 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S.', 'Modern Family' and 'How I Met Your Mother'. The very subject prods our mind's eye to envision a roasted turkey and pumpkin pie-laden elaborate feast spread across the dinner table, surrounded by a boisterous bunch of friends and family. This is often followed by the better understanding (as pitched by the sitcoms or perhaps distorted general awareness), that Thanksgiving literally translates to just that - giving thanks. Which, as a matter of fact, is true, but only partly. Yes, Thanksgiving is all about expressing your gratitude for all things good and blessed in one's life, but at the same time, it is much more than that. © 20th Century Fox Television And honestly, none of the aforementioned sitcoms have gotten it quite right. But as always, you can count on us to enlighten you about stuff you would otherwise miss out on. So, here goes. What Is Thanksgiving For Real? It was in 1960 when the English ship named The Mayflower brought in the first English Puritans, now known as the Pilgrims, from Plymouth, England to North America. That is where the Pilgrims first set up their colony and thus followed an arduous year of struggles and scarcity. However, it is believed that in 1921, the Pilgrims finally managed to have a successful harvesting season in the New World in November after learning how to plant, hunt and farm, and decided to celebrate with a three-day long feast. This celebration is said to have been attended by the local Wampanoag tribe, and thus also marks the first cordial interaction between the Natives and the Pilgrims. All of them came together to express their gratitude for the good season (and their successful survival in the New World). © Wikipedia However, what most people do not know is that in the years to follow the Pilgrims and Europeans strategically began to exterminate the Native from their land in order to colonise the better part of the land - which is known as modern day United States of America. Robert Jensen, former professor of journalism at University of Texas likens this extermination to “genocide” in this article, and states that, “While the concept of genocide, which is defined as the deliberate attempt "to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group," came into existence after World War II, it accurately describes the program that Europeans and their descendants pursued to acquire the territory that would become the United States of America.” Yet, this detail about Thanksgiving has been conveniently distorted in American history, as is the larger oral narratives and general awareness of the citizens over the span of many years. This is perhaps because the people, who knew better, wanted to do away with the knowledge of what had really conspired in the garb of Thanksgiving. The Original Menu Wasn't Just About Turkey & Pumpkin Pies Unlike what the majority believes, the original feast comprised of much more than turkey and pumpkin, while the pies weren't to make an appearance until much later. It is said that the Wampanoag tribe brought five deer to be roasted, while others showed up with wild turkey, ducks, geese, carrier pigeons, and swans. © maxpixel Culinary historians also claim that the menu also included seafood, and since it was a post-harvest celebration, nuts, corn, onions, beans, cabbage, carrots, berries, plums, grapes, and pumpkin were consumed during the celebration. Thanksgiving Wasn't A Holiday, Originally The celebration of Thanksgiving was made official after much deliberation since the celebration did not have any religious associations. According to the Telegraph, George Washington first made the National Thanksgiving Proclamation on October 3, 1789. © cz (dot) usembassy However, it was Franklin D. Roosevelt who finally set the exact date of Thanksgiving in stone. So it was decided in 1939-1941 that Thanksgiving would be a national holiday on the fourth Thursday of November every year. Unlike what pop-culture wants us to believe, there are greater details that are attached to Thanksgiving that most of us are unaware of. However, we do believe in revelling in the spirit of celebrations, and thoroughly uphold the better saying 'bhavnaaon ko samjho'. So, a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who is celebrating, and also to those too who aren't, because you can never be too grateful in life, can you?
  7. Gym rats or fitness freaks (the two tags I absolutely dislike) often start worrying when a trip is planned. The fear of losing the 'gains or putting on fat is pretty real. If you are one of those freaks too, or even if not but you'd like to stay in shape when you travel, this piece is totally for you. Here are some tips and tricks to incorporate while traveling: 1) Intermittent Fasting © Pixabay Intermittent Fasting or IF is a popular dieting strategy that splits your day into two distinctive windows. The feed and fast windows. You consume zero calorie drinks and beverages in the fasting window like coffee, green tea, diet soda, water, etc. and you eat solid meals or calorie-containing beverages in the feeding window. By incorporating this strategy, even if you would be eating outright junk, you will still end up limiting the calories you consume during the day. A 16:8 or an 18:6 fasting:feeding protocol is something I see suits me and most of my clients during traveling. 2) Walking A good way to get in some exercise or some physical activity when traveling is to use your feet as the primary source of transport. Walk short distances, explore the place, be on your feet. This way you will burn off some extra calories for the day and worry a bit lesser about getting out of shape. 3) Hotel Gym Or Room Workout Getting to the gym or keeping up with your actual workout during your travels may not be possible due to two main reasons: a. Short on time b. Not much equipment or a proper gym facility So make the best use of whatever is available to you. Either do a bodyweight session inside the hotel room itself or just a few exercises in the hotel gym. Finish off the session in 30 to 40 minutes so you can later enjoy the day and your trip as well. 4) Reduce Your Meal Frequency © Pixabay This is not the Intermittent Fasting pointer again. This means, in general, eat lesser meals. If you are used to eating 5 to 6 meals in a day, drop it down to 2 or 3 meals for the day. Lesser meals = lesser calories. And this is a very easy way to manage intake without complicating things. 5) Protein And Salads As Starters When traveling, eating the local delicacies should be on your to-do list as you may not find the same opportunity anytime soon again. But if you have a tendency to overdo it, there are a few tips and tricks you can incorporate to avoid the all-out hogging approach. Start your meal with a serving of protein and some fiber. A salad with minimal dressings as an example. As both of these things are satiating, they will suppress your appetite to a certain extent. A lower appetite means that you will not hog on or go all out on the foods kept in front of you. This way, you can incorporate these steps and manage to stay in shape during your travels. 8. We've been hearing news about the next PlayStation all of 2018 and news of Sony skipping E3 2019 points to a new rumour. A Redditor by the name RuthenicCookie correctly revealed that Sony will skip E3 next year has now come with more rumours to speculate about. © Pexels According to the Redditor, PlayStation 5 will be unveiled sometime in the middle of 2019 followed by a full reveal through a PlayStation Experience event. The new console by Sony is expected to be released sometime in March 2020 or November 2020. This will mark seven years since the release of the PlayStation 4. © Pexels Developers are already tinkering and developing games for the next-gen console and these kits have been described as a “monster”. It has a Ryzen 8 core and is expected to cost $500. The user revealed that Sony is skipping E3 next year because the company is working hard for the PlayStation 5 reveal. As for games, RuthenicCookie says that games towards the end of PlayStation 4's cycle such as The Last Of Us Part II, Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima will launch alongside PS5. As of now, there is no word on backward compatibility on the PlayStation 5; however, it would be disappointing if the company decides to exclude the much-demanded feature. Sony's decision to pull out of E3 and not hold a PSX event in 2018 could point to evidence that the company is focusing all their efforts to launch the next console. *Main image for representation purposes only
  9. Remember Savji Dholakia? The generous diamond-merchant from Surat for whom almost half the country wants to work for. Why? Because he showers his employees with gifts and rewards, while most of us sit in our office cribbing about our jobs. But why are we talking about him now? Because Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's wedding details are out and their hotel rooms cost much lesser than what Dholakia spent on his employees this Diwali. He distributed 600 cars to his employees, at an event that was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Facebook While we don't know how Ranveer and Deepika's sangeet functions are coming around, we've got our hands on something equally interesting - the cost of their hotel rooms in Italy. Ranveer and Deepika are getting married at the Villa del Balbianello at Lake Como on November 14 and 15. According to a report in India Today, the couple and their families are staying at a luxury resort on the east side of Lake Como, instead of a villa. The resort has been booked for the wedding and is being decorated by the florists. According to reports 12 florists were flown in from Florence to decorate the wedding venue. Did Ranveer and Deepika make the booking from MakeMyTrip or Goibibo? Instagram Fans of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone can't keep calm as the couple is about to get married in a couple of hours at Lake Como, Italy. Unfortunately, there's nothing else their fans can do apart from looking at their previous pictures, because the couple has asked the wedding guests not to carry mobile phones to the wedding venue in order to respect their privacy.

  11. If you still haven't watched 'The Haunting Of Hill House', you are quite late to the party already . The show that has left audience shook with the dark and the gory psychological effects that it creates, is currently enjoying a lot of fame. The show has been an instant hit with the intense monologues by the characters and the deep rooted story line that goes beyond what generic horror shows depict. Even though all along we only see despair and havoc for the lead characters, the ending was a surprisingly happy one. With all sibling reuniting (except Nell) and leading normal lives, one feels that our hearts are saved from the cathartic end of the show. Admit it, we all thought that the 'Red Room' would create more havoc and suck up every happiness from their lives. However, it is very interesting to know that the makers had originally planned a gory and a darker ending for the show. In the final episode we see that the red room opens up for everyone and they all get trapped inside. While we wonder that it is the first time that the door has been open, in reality the characters have all spent their share of time in the room over the years. The rooms changes shape and disguise itself differently for each one of the kids and their mom. The rectangular window in the background stays constant every time some one used it. © Netflix For Luke, it was the tree house, for their mother, it was a reading room, for Theo is becomes her dancing room and so on. Mind blown right? Well in the final scene when we see the Crain family happily cutting Luke's cake, you can spot a vertical painting in the background. © Netflix Now you might see nothing wrong with this picture, but the makers had some cruel intentions for the script. The painting was supposed to be a representation of the vertical window from the red room , which means that the Crain family probably would have never escaped the room and this was another paranormal delusion for all of them. Cruel, right? The makers eventually decided to give the show a happier ending.
  12. Antioxidants are a craze right now. Almost every health, herbal or wellness product is marketed as rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants are marketed in such a way, that people think that they are the holy grail of good health. But yet again, that's just false. If not entirely, but certainly a large part of what is advertised. © Pixabay You'll find antioxidants added to anything and everything from fruit juices, smoothies, and even cosmetics. Some of the so-called benefits of antioxidants are as follows: 1. They slow down the ageing process considerably. 2. They enhance your immune system. 3. They are good for your heart health 4. They help to lower your risk of infections and some forms of cancer. Now, these claims aren't completely false but the hype train of getting in as many antioxidants as you can is simply crazy. What Are These Antioxidants And Why Are People Going Gaga Over Them? Let's Have A Look Antioxidants are substances that help stop substances called free radicals. Free radicals are substances that cause damage to your cells, which is called oxidation. Oxidation, if unchecked can cause diseases like cancer, heart diseases and also faster ageing. Getting into the science of it, free radicals lack electrons which they tend to take from your cells, antioxidants stop them from doing so by providing that missing electron to the free radicals. You must now be thinking that this is a good thing and we should start ingesting more and more antioxidants. Well, this way of thinking is the root cause of many problems. More isn't always the equivalent of better. Taking extreme doses of antioxidants thinking it'll help slow the ageing process and prevent cancer, is just stupid. Some even go to the lengths of rubbing creams containing antioxidants in the hopes that it will somehow save them from wrinkles. But Why Are More Antioxidants Not Good? © Pixabay Because there has been plenty of research on this field and the data is pretty conclusive that eating more antioxidants than you need to is not good for health. There have been a number of researches on smokers, where people who took higher doses of antioxidants were found to have more lung cancer than people who did not. Here are a couple of them: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18429004?ordinalpos=1&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8602180?ordinalpos=155&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum What Too Many Antioxidants Do! The reason why taking in too many antioxidants can be a problem is that, if taken in excess, it can have a sort of pro-oxidant instead of an antioxidant effect. So, if you take too many antioxidants, they will help with and contribute to the oxidation process rather than stopping it. There is also an argument that if you take too many antioxidants, you suppress your body's natural antioxidant defence mechanisms. There is more and more research coming on the subject and all of it unanimously do not paint a good picture on taking in more antioxidants than you need to. A recent meta analysis even linked high doses of single antioxidants with increased mortality. Moderation Is The Key In the end, I would say that as is with everything else in life, moderation is the key here as well. In moderation, antioxidants do have a number of benefits but taking them in excess when there isn't a need to do so, is only going to be detrimental to your health. How to get your daily dose of antioxidants? Eat your fruits and veggies and take a generic multivitamin if you want, you'll get the antioxidants that you need. But for your own good, please leave the antioxidant supplements on the store counter. 13. The future of news presentation is here, and the Chinese were the first in the entire world to witness it. Earlier this week, Xinhua News Agency in China presented the media industry with its newest members - AI news readers who promise to “tirelessly” bring latest news reports all throughout the, from any part of the country. Viewers in China were greeted with an English Artificial Intelligence anchor, modelled on a real news anchor working with Xinhua News Agency named Zhang Zhao. The AI news presenter looked very real and “human-like” in a koala cub grey suit, as he frequently nodded at the screen and blinked every few seconds just like a normal human being. World's first #AI news anchor debuts, jointly developed by Xinhua and Chinese search engine company https://t.co/34tyZ4nwrg. https://t.co/2omcc5K9rB pic.twitter.com/qXn5Z3ZkxL — China Xinhua News (@XHNews) November 8, 2018 The AI anchor was heard saying how the development in the media industry calls for “continuous innovation” and “integration of international advanced technology” for better and improved reportage. The AI anchor was also be seen declaring that he would “work tirelessly to keep the viewers informed” at all times. He also said that he looks forward to “bringing brand new news experiences” to his audience. © YouTube According to The Guardian, the AI presenters have been developed by Xinhua and the Chinese search engine, Sogou. The AI presenters use machine learning to simulate the voice, facial movements, and gestures of real-life broadcasters. That seems like a huge achievement in the field of media and technology alike. With the possibility of reporting 24x7 from various locations at a time, would not only save a lot of manpower but also ensure that the latest news and updates are continuously relayed to the viewers. Is this how the future of media “looks” like?
  14. With the release of 'Thugs of Hindostan' this morning, Aamir Khan's much-anticipated movie of the year has finally opened to the audience. When the film announcement was made two years ago in September 2016, people began to pin high hopes on this one, given that not only was the movie being launched under the YRF banner, but was also said to star two of Bollywood's most renowned names - Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan. © Yash raj films Move to 2018, and the movie has already hit the screens this morning to a mixed bag of reactions. The audience hasn't been able to fully accept Aamir as the “bad guy” and Sr. Bachchan seems to be the only saving grace of the movie, as per latest online reviews. However, while the movie's fate still remains undecided, Aamir's thoughtful gesture towards the entire cast and crew of 'Thugs of Hindostan' is already being hailed as a major hit. Last evening, Aamir posted a letter addressing every member of TOH, and expressed his gratitude for their earnest efforts, that collectively helped them to put the movie out for the audience to enjoy. Look at the transcript here: What a touching letter by @aamir_khan as #ThugsOfHindostan releases today. The best part about Aamir is that he acknowledges each n every one in the team irrespective of their role.Thats the sign of a great leader...No shoshebaazi...pure simplicity! Wah! pic.twitter.com/SBTubVn4Zy — Faridoon Shahryar (@iFaridoon) November 8, 2018 As is already evident, Aamir made sure that no one from the entire production team was left out of this 'letter of gratitude' as we'd like to call it. Aamir took out the time to mention people by their names and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their time and efforts over the last two years. Sure, some might say this is another one of Aamir's 'quirky' film promotion ideas after the tie-up with Google maps, and yes it does seem like it to some extent too. However, one can't deny that to name people on a personal post and giving them credit for their work, holds a lot more value and sentimental connection than the credit roll at the end of film showcase (which honestly no one cares to sit through). © Yash raj films It's also great to see how the film promotions have changed over the years, and more celebs have taken to social media to promote films on a personal level. These tactics not only make a greater connection with the audience like in this case, but the publicity only adds to the overall experience of the movie too.
  15. Isn't Diwali the festival of lights? Who made it the festival of firecrackers? Like what's even the point of crackers. All they do is create noise and just worsen the already bad air. But, even after seeing how bad the smog in Delhi has been, people did not learn their lesson and continued bursting crackers, that too way past the permitted time, since Delhi people can do whatever the **** they want because “woh dilli se hai, bc”. So, obviously the air is worse, and people can't breathe. Not a big deal, right? It's not like we need oxygen to survive or anything. 16. It is absolutely okay to have your secret guilty pleasures, but it is not okay to feel really bad about them. For some of us, it's gadgets (there are people buying iPhone X out there), for the others, it could be food, but there is a huge number of men who like to invest in shoes. And one of the reasons for that is definitely the way he chooses to dress - loud, unabashed and fancy - just the words that describe Dosanjh's sartorial preferences. And thus it makes complete sense for this talented actor to own a shoe collection we didn't know existed. He likes all things in-vogue and he gets all things in vogue. The actor has quite a number of bold and bulky sneakers in his closet, and it only makes us wonder if we will ever be able to see all the shoes he owns?
  17. For a man whose popularity is second to none, MS Dhoni hasn't really enjoyed a commendable run with the willow lately. The former Indian captain continues to be a vital cog in India's line-up for limited-overs cricket, but his batting slump is something that's pretty hard to overlook. And, that's probably why he was not included in India's squad for the T20I series against West Indies and Australia. There was a lot of hue and cry over his exclusion from the Indian squad. While some slammed the selectors, others opined that it was only a matter of time that he got dropped owing to his poor batting form. So much so that Dhoni's exclusion even instigated great Sachin Tendulkar to question the mindset of the Indian selectors. Though there was no official explanation on his exclusion, but Dhoni's batting woes surely made for a strong case. However, irrespective of what people might think, the real reason - as explained by Virat Kohli - behind Dhoni losing his spot in the Indian side is completely different, one that made us fall in love with our 'Captain Cool' yet again. © BCCL Believe it or not, Dhoni, acknowledging his batting slump, sacrificed his own spot in the Indian squad to make way for young Rishabh Pant. The Jharkhand cricketer wants the Delhi youngster to get more chances in Team India jersey, something that also tells us that he looks at Pant as his potential successor. Following India's 3-1 ODI series win against West Indies, the Indian captain was asked about selectors' decision to drop Dhoni. Responding to the query, Kohli revealed that he was not part of that meeting where the selectors discussed Dhoni's position in the side. He, then, went on to reveal the actual reason as to why Dhoni decided against playing in the T20I series against West Indies and Australia. © BCCL “I think the selectors have already addressed this if I'm not wrong. And he's been spoken to, firstly. So, I don't see any reason why I should be sitting here and explaining that. I think the selectors have come out and explained exactly what happened. I was not part of that conversation so. It is what the selector explained,” Kohli said at the post-match presser. “I think people are putting too much variables into the situation, which is not the case I can assure of that. He's still a very integral part of this team and he just feels that in the T20 format, someone like Rishabh can get more chances, he anyway plays the ODIs for us regularly. From that point of view, he's only trying to help the youngsters; nothing that anything that other people are thinking and I as captain can certainly assure you of that,” Kohli added.
  18. Recently, I caught the flu which made me hibernate for a few days at home, lest I distribute my germs evenly at office. While grappling through various bizarre channels on television I realised I can in fact Netflix something chill and spend my sick days more viably. What I didn't know was I wasn't prepared for what was coming my way. © FlanaganFilm While glancing through the new shows to watch on Netflix I stumbled upon 'The Haunting of Hill House' (THoHH) and as intrigued as my spirit forever is, I started cuing the show. Fair warning though- don't ever watch it while you're sick or down in the dumps. It gets beneath your skin and up your psyche and tries and fiddles around with your timid mind space at that point in time. And that's exactly what it did to me. THoHH isn't just another horror show waiting for an audience popularity award and some serious reckoning on social media. It's a bit mind altering and shrewd with it's content. The kind of show you'd want to cue if you feel your inhibitions are right in place...and then suddenly they skyrocket to another galaxy. © FlanaganFilm The series starts with unfolding a familial structure slowly. The Crain family spends a considerable amount of time in a haunted house, away from the city, near the woods and they slowly realise all their demons lie in that house. How? Well, like I told you, it's not just a horror series. it's way more than that. When you grow up in a big family, you go through a lot of ups and downs. Some serious issues escalate, some serious traumas find their way to settle in, inside your mind but in time you learn to deal with these traumas through certain realisations and by facing them head on. But that wasn't the case here. And by here I mean within the series, inside Hill House. © FlanaganFilm Okay, let me explain how. *spoiler alert* . The Crain family moves in to a huge mansion called the Hill House, somewhere far away from civilisation. The house originally belonged to the Hill family, who'd died in different circumstances and they became the house, literally. There isn't much background thrown about them though. There's an elderly woman who was living there, who certainly died of a sickness and then there was a couple - Poppy and William Hill who'd met at an asylum and fallen in love and of course died at the house too. The story revolves around two timelines. One in which they show the Crain family living in the house as kids, being haunted by every nook and cranny of the house and the second timeline shows them all grown up, years later, living separately, still being haunted by their own ghosts, without realising it's all connected to their childhood in the house. © FlanaganFilm Despite all the hidden ghosts and the not-so hidden ones, not many are given a back-story and as viewers you have to imagine the best or the worst scenarios and that's what I did, while I deduced every little scene into a metaphor, for familial relationships in general. The five siblings Steven (Michiel Huisman), Shirley (Elizabeth Reaser), Theodora (Kate Seigal), and twins Nell and Luke (Victoria Pedretti & Oliver Jackson Cohen), grow up in the house as close as they can be with their parents Hugh (Timothy Hutton) and Olivia (CarlaGugino). Each one of them has a demon to fight and a ghost to let go off, while living in the house. But they're all in some sort of spatial denial about what they usually see. Except maybe Nellie, who sees a 'bent-neck-lady' often at night and freaks out and screams. Luke sees Willian Hill, who comes to look for his hat which is in Luke's possession. The rest have their fair share of visions and anomalies but the less they talk about it, the better they feel. © FlanaganFilm The second timeline is all of them dealing with what they should have talked about in the first place instead of suppressing it. Which is a clear indication of how families need to be more open with each other and not let anything find its way under the rug. © FlanaganFilm The timelines are almost intertwined because the grown up siblings find it hard to cope with normal life, while going through serious PTSD, having grown up in a house that magnified their life fears. Steven is a struggling author, who writes a book about the house, which is a mere narration of all the horror stories he heard from his siblings and while not penning down his own experiences in the house, since he kept everything in the realms of denial, when it came to him facing his demons. Luke is a drug addict, struggling to keep clean, while jumping from one rehab to another, Shirley tries to face her demons for having an extra marital affair and not telling her husband about it, Nell still sees the bent-neck-lady and believes she never left her side and has taken over her life in more ways than one and Theodora feels everything she touches and sometimes that makes her inept to connect with other people, most days. © FlanaganFilm The trauma lurks through grim shadows all their life, while they struggle to find themselves again, 20 years later and the only way to live a normal life is to confront the ghosts of the past, literally. Since their mother Olivia's suicide in the house, their father never lets them explore the real truth about why Olivia kills herself in the first place and the mystery only unfolds for the siblings when one of them-Nell, goes back to the house and kills herself too. The only way for them to come to terms with what happened and let everything go is to actually go back to the house, years later. And they do. Okay, no more spoilers, you need to watch it to know what really happens in the end. © FlanaganFilm While the series kept me upright, all night, with a really icky feeling in the pit of my stomach it also made me realise the latent message the show is trying to sublimely give out. The fact that we all live like the Crains, throughout our life and never confront our own demons when we should. We never lay out what's in our mind or what we see and what we defy, most days. That we don't listen when someone needs to be heard. And all these instances become something malicious in our own head and make us go through post traumatic strife all our life. It just seems like we're all living a post traumatic lifestyle and it's time to change that. The serious message the director Mike Flanagan is trying to deliver is that of solidarity within a family, to avoid fighting our ghosts from the past. The 'Red Room' for instance was a room in the house, which was called the 'heart' of the house. It was a room for everyone to recreate their solace and become one with the house again. We should do that as a family. Recreate and share our solace and misery with the ones we truly love and not let anything lurk in the shadows to actually let go of any sort of darkness, that inhibits our days while we're grown adults. While I loved the series, this is in no way a review but an interpretation of a subjective understanding of the show. The treatment of the series is top-notch and I couldn't help think about the hidden message time and again and write about it, to help people understand the creepy yet significant moral of story. Although, I am done watching the show and it really hasn't stopped hounding the pit of my stomach yet and once the feeling goes away, I might just watch it again!
  19. When I was a kid, I used to pass by crowded places and usually saw men walking together holding hands. It was quite amusing yet endearing to witness that. And it wasn't because the men were homosexual in nature, it was because the sense of camaraderie between the two men was super strong and it usually came out through a strange ppublic display of 'bromance'. © Excel Entertainment The term bromance is so apt to how men curtail and become one with their emotions, all at the same time. Bromance is a closely knit, absolutely heterosexual relationship a man shares with another man. It's intimacy of the same *** without an ounce of sexual or physical attraction. It's the new age bonding, where emotions and physical proximity are both very definitive! According to a new study published by an online journal- Men & Masculinities, young men get more emotional satisfaction out of heterosexual relationships with other men than they do out of romantic liaisons with women. In lay man terms 'bromance' is definitely more of a game changer for men right now and they rather spend time chilling and bonding with their bro's than with their significant others (you thought I was going to say 'hoes' weren't you?) © Reliance BIG Pictures Intimate male friendships are a thing to cherish now, wherein men are making their bonds of friendship stronger and letting their romantic relationships be a secondary factor. But the downside of this analysis is that this strong male bond can in all probability lead to weaker marital bonds between different married couples or reduce the likelihood of men hooking up or pairing up with women in entirety. The study was conducted on 30 heterosexual male participants who were second year college students and either were or had been in a relationship with a woman before. All the men chosen were Caucasian and all had a sports-related major. © Thinkstock The study deduced that all men had at least one 'bromantic' friend they shared an intimate relationship with. From sharing secrets to expressing an emotion or love to sleeping on the same bed, all 30 men had one man in their life they were intimate with and indulged in more proximity than anyone else. Most men even agreed to the fact they'd cuddled with their bromantic partners. The reason though is quite interesting. According to these men, they felt less judged by their bros than they did by their respective girlfriends. For instance one of the men had confided in his bro about his music preferences and how he liked listening to Taylor Swift or even Beyonce. He also stated if he'd told his GF the same, he'd be at a risk of being judged by her. But with his close male friend, there were no judgments at all. I guess the emotional connect between two men who're rather close is way more than a man and woman can ever have. Most men also said they would share something as personal as discussing a close relatives death or even sensitive health information, with their male counterparts rather than sharing this with their lovers. This is interesting because we live under the hypothesis that we share anything and everything personal with our significant others, whereas sometimes that not the case. © Thinkstock There are factors that do differentiate between bromance and romance. Primarily they're sexual attraction, emotional connection and personality. The study determined these factors as the main classification between being around a bro and being around your GF. While with the bro personality and an emotional connect are two affirmed qualities to establish a connect, with your significant other you definitely have to have a sexual attraction and you possibly cant have that with your male friend, if you're a heterosexual male. © Thinkstock A while ago bromance took a backseat because of the stigma homosexual relationships were creating back then. But today men are progressively taking a step forward and embracing intimacy with the same gender, to establish relationships that go beyond just friendship and don't get lost in translation either. It's now 'manly' to have a bro who understands your emotions, connects with your personality on every level and isn't afraid to share a bed with you either, or cuddle you for that matter! So, if you're a bromantic at heart, you should know it's absolutely okay to embrace it because a bromance can last a lifetime, after all!
  20. When it comes to *** , we surely love to experiment everything and anything in store especially when the 'act' is concerned. A lot of couples love to go a little extra to break the bed but many other couples also love to break it out of the bed! Yep, *** nowadays isn't limited or constricted to the four walls of your house, you know. A lot of couples, women especially, love to get out of the comfort zone and have *** at the weirdest, most bizarre places probable. © Pinterest I think apart from letting go of your comfort zone, *** outside of the bedroom is also thrilling and fulfills the fantasy of doing it in a public space (maybe) and also the ghastly need to be viewed while doing 'it' by outsiders. Most women actually like taking this leap of faith and are bold risk takers who like to get it on, outside of the bedroom. So I rounded up 12 women and asked them what are their favourite places to have *** apart from their bedroom was, and here's what they had to say: (1) You Can 'Drive' Her Crazy "I love doing it in the car. Be it making out or having ***, it's cramped, which I love and more intimate. Car make out sessions usually happen post a date so it's the most common spot to do it. Try having *** while your guy is driving about town. Totally doable!" - Smriti, 30 (2) 'Cos Life's Not Always A Beach "The best place I've had *** till date is on a beach. I think that's why the cocktail is quite popular too because it's one of the best places to do it. The sand going in places it shouldn't is an absolute turn on''! - Ridhi, 28 (3) 'Lift' Her Up "The best public place I've done it in is in a lift. We were at a hotel, heading to our room and before we got to it, we were already making out in the lift. I did see a security cam there but that just got me more excited!" - Ritika (name changed), 33 (4) In Sickness & In Health ''Okay, I am not too proud of this but I've done it on a hospital bed, when I was visiting my BF who'd injured himself. While he was recovering, he was admitted and one of the nights while I was staying with him, we somehow managed to do it. He was drugged AF but it's still the best *** I've ever had!" - Priyanka, 27 (5) Baby When The Lights Go Out "This one time my guy and I were at this public park, one of the biggest in the city and we'd decided to spend the night there by hiding when the sun sets, so that the guards wouldn't be able to locate us. We did just that and had the most thrilling night of our lives. The unimaginable places you can do it at a park are countless" - Priya, 26 (6) Freudian Dreams Do Come True "I definitely don't want to be judged for this but recently my boy and I found ourselves doing it on my parents bed and it was every bit of spectacular'' - Ketaki, 35 (7) For The Water Babies ''I've done it in a swimming pool of a hotel at night. Both of us were skinny dipping and obviously one thing led to the other. It's tiresome but absolutely worth it" - Kashish, 30 (8) U'n'Isex "I am sure everyone's done it in public loo. This one was at a bar and the loos were in the same space so we totally went at it, a couple of drinks down." - Mallika, 28 (9) Dots & Balls "We were at a friend's party and he had a pool table. I'd just met the guy and we got talking and shortly we were on his pool table tearing each other's clothes apart!" - Sukanya (name changed), 28 (10) Day Time Matinee "I remember we used to bunk college a lot and go for these movies that played during the afternoon. There used to be barely any people in the hall. Best place to make out I think! I am sure you'll catch these movies playing every day, if anyone wants to give this a try" - Radhika, 29 (11) I Like It Clean "Umm, I've done it in the shower and it's really something. Get your man into the shower with you and you'll know what I am talking about"! - Pallavi, 25 (12) It's Called A Streetie "We were walking on a busy street in the city and I don't know what came over us, we found a bend and started making out there, in broad daylight! Making out then transcended to something else completely!" - Surabhi ( name changed), 34 There are numerous other places you can practice some 'safe ***' other than your bed. No kidding! My favourite is while on a trek, in the middle of a jungle! But then again, whatever floats your boat. So, why don't you for the sake of an experiment, get out of your comfort zone and try some new exciting places to get it on with your girl? With her consent, of course!
  21. Xiaomi's momentum has been exemplary in the last few years, not only has the company established a trusted brand but also managed to grab a huge chunk of market share in countries like India. On Friday night, CEO Lei Jun announced it had reached its goal of shipping 100 million units annually. The brand has accomplished to cross the milestone more than two months ahead of its original plan. The year over year growth has increased to 43 percent and last year as well the company successfully completed its plan of shipping 70 million units. © MensXP / Shivam Vahia On the contrary, Xiaomi's debut on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange has been lukewarm. Since its IPO in June, shares have slumped 30 percent amid an increasing competition from Huawei and the empire of BBK mobile that runs OPPO, Vivo, and OnePlus. Huawei reached the 100 million target way back in July and is on track to push 200 million units by the end of the year. Though, comparing the two companies right now is inappropriate because Xiaomi in a new entrant in the business compared to Huawei's decades-long history and experience. © Reuters Richard Yu Chengdong, chief executive of the Huawei Consumer Business Group, responded to Lei on social media, saying “Any smartphone maker cannot surpass Huawei's P20 Pro in a short period of time. Only we can surpass ourselves.” In India, Xiaomi is the number one smartphone maker according to Counterpoint Research's Q3 2018 data. Xiaomi currently holds 27 percent of market share followed by Samsung at 23 percent. In the last one year, the Chinese maker has dethroned Samsung from the number one spot and is widening the gap every quarter. © MensXP Xiaomi is able to sell a huge number of units because its products are in the budget and midrange segments of the market. In a developing country like India, the average purchasing segment is between Rs 11,000 to Rs 18,000. Xiaomi has a wide range of offerings like the Redmi Note 5 Pro, Mi A2, Redmi 6 Pro, and the Redmi Y2 to fill up this segment. Even the newly launched sub-brand POCO has been performing well and provided a much-needed momentum to increase the average purchasing rate of smartphones. Source: Twitter
  22. Arguably one of the greatest players of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo has probably won everything there is to be achieved in the world of football. The Portuguese has won 26 trophies during his illustrious footballing career and the fact that he boasts of a record-tying five Ballon d'Or wins, shows how good this lad has been over the years. More recently, he became the first footballer in history to score 400 goals across Europe's top five leagues. But, Ronaldo is much more than just another record-breaking footballer. He is a great human being who has not forgotten his roots and humble beginnings. Despite being one of the richest sportspersons on the planet, Ronaldo still holds everything that has made him what he is today, dear to his heart. © Reuters His love for Manchester United and their fans has been known for quite some time now. Having joined the Red Devils back in 2003, it was the hallowed Old Trafford where he first rose to prominence in the footballing world. Thus, when Juventus came calling at the United home ground for the Champions League group-stage fixture, all eyes were on Ronaldo for his homecoming. Apart from his pivotal cross that set up Paulo Dybala's lone goal of the game, Ronaldo's humility and respect for the Man Utd fans won everyone over. The 33-year-old clicked a selfie with a pitch invader and, after the final whistle, thumped his chest to show what the applause of the Old Trafford meant to him. But, Ronaldo's homecoming couldn't have been complete without an exchange with Sir Alex Ferguson - the man who transformed a skinny 18-year-old winger into one of the world's best footballers. A great coach and above all a wonderful man. Taught me so many things inside and outside the pitch. Great to see you in good shape, Boss! pic.twitter.com/Ql4dcuJvCW — Cristiano Ronaldo (@Cristiano) October 24, 2018 After playing an instrumental role in Juventus' 1-0 win over his former club, Ronaldo took some time off to meet Sir Alex, whom he often regards as a father-figure. In a touching tribute, the Juventus forward posted a picture of himself in the company of former United boss with a heartfelt message: "A great coach and above all a wonderful man. Taught me so many things inside and outside the pitch. Great to see you in good shape, Boss." Sir Alex played a pivotal role in shaping up Ronaldo's footballing career after he signed the Portuguese for 12.24 million pounds, making him the most expensive teenager in English football history. For someone who initially struggled to contain his emotions, Ronaldo found a perfect mentor in the Scot who nurtured him like his own son. One of the greatest coaches to have graced the game, Sir Alex is credited to have mentored some of the finest football players over the years including the likes of Eric Cantona, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and, of course, Cristiano Ronaldo. Thus, it was quite fitting to see the Juventus star penning some touching words for Sir Alex after the game. 23. Cristiano Ronaldo is as big a name off the field as he is on it, because of the fashion goals he keeps on scoring. Right from the latest trends in terms of outfits to accessories to even inner-wear, the man powers through like a trailblazer. Keeping the streak of badassery on, he just attended a press conference wearing a watch that has 424 white diamonds encrusted on it. Take a look. © AFP The Juventus star wore an extremely rare watch from Franck Muller, the estimated value of which is about £1.2 million. 24. Iron Man is one of the strongest superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Thanos is one of the most powerful villains, so obviously there's a stark difference between them right? Nope, these two characters are apparently more similar than we ever even thought about and a new fan theory is here to prove it. In case you didn't know, there was a previous theory that claimed that the real villain of MCU is actually the mind stone, and this new theory is taking a cue from that and is trying to explain a connection between Tony Stark and the Mad Titan. The theory basically claims that both of them have been cursed by the mind stone. A theorist with the username Broseph2576 tried to give a lengthy explanation for the theory saying, “First off, props to whoever posted the original 'mind stone is the true villain' theory....it got me thinking. From the bonus A3 features, we know that in response to Tony asking, “how do you know my name?” Thanos replies “I know your soul...it is much like mine, cursed with knowledge”. Great line, but I don't think Thanos and Tony are necessarily “cursed with knowledge” per se; rather, I think that they are both suffering from some intense PTSD inflicted by the mind stone.” We already know that Tony will play a crucial role in defeating Thanos, as Dr. Strange basically told everyone that towards the end of 'Avengers: Infinity War'. There is only one possible outcome where Thanos will actually be defeated and Tony Stark needed to be alive for that, which is why Dr. Strange gave up the time stone and looks like the disintegration of half of the universe was also unavoidable. The theory went on, “You could argue that the 'endgame' actually started at the beginning of 'Avengers: Age of Ultron', when Wanda showed Tony a vision of the dead Avengers and an unstoppable alien invasion. Tony's vision, which directly led to Ultron, the disbanding of the Avengers and his inability to move on with his life with Pepper, emanated from the mind stone. In an 'Inception'-y kind of way, it instilled in Tony a drive to “do anything to make things right” which, in the most basic sense, was to prevent the outcome he witnessed and believed would come true. But his actions were premised on a “vision” that seemed more an induced hallucination (even the movie sequences looked all 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds') rather than a true revelation of the future. Regardless, it changed the paradigm for Tony personally and would impact Earth and its population forever.” It is possible that even Thanos witnessed a similar vision, which made him do what he did. “I think it could be altogether likely that at some point, prior to the MCU timeline, Thanos was shown a similar vision - one where his beautiful home planet had withered away and the population of Titan starving, suffering & dying. Thanos would, in that light, be similarly driven to “do anything to make things right” which, if fuelled by the same fear and irrationality that drove Tony to create Ultron, could otherwise explain his moral ambivalence to the atrocities he and his followers had been committing in the names of 'life' and 'survival'.” The theory ends with, “As a result of these visions, both Tony and Thanos would become self-fulfilling prophesies of their worst fears - Tony's obsession with protection of Earth could have very easily resulted in the total extinction of the human race; Thanos' obsession with ensuring that what happened (or what he saw happen) on Titan would never happen again, ultimately led him to murder trillions during the snappening.” Well, it's highly unlikely that this is spot on but it seems quite plausible, tbh. Actually, anything can happen and we all have to wait till May 2019 to find out. Right now, we're not the only ones who don't know what exactly will happen in the next Avengers movie, as it turns out that people making the movie are changing and reshooting everything, or rather were doing it while shooting. Talking about this, Mark Ruffalo said, “Which we don't even know what it's gonna be yet. We're not just doing reshoots, we're going to finish the movie, which we really didn't get to finish totally when we left it last year ... I don't even know that they really know exactly. Some of it is happening while we're there. It's pretty amazing. And we'll shoot some stuff and a few days later, come back and reshoot it, cause we wanna take it in another direction. It's a very living organism, even as we approach it being a locked picture, we're still working on it.” Okay, now I honestly don't want to wait till next year for the movie. Can Tony and Scott teach me their time travel ways that they are probably using in the movie? That would be great, thanks.
  25. Since the birth of personal computer games, there have been people who have managed to be too good at them. Slowly, the gaming industry developed and matured, and now, we have highly detailed games like GTA V that takes years to fully explore, and near real-life experience games like 'Call of Duty' that test your reflexes to the brim. © Pexels While the gaming industry progressed, even the players slowly got a hang of it and turned their hobby into a professional career. Thanks to the internet, multiplayer gaming has completely revolutionized the way we game. In the midst of all these technical advancements is Nick Overton, a 27-year old gamer in the USA, who is popularly known as 'Immarksman' on Fortnite. © 2Ser Nick currently works for professional esports team called Counter Logic Gaming and is already making between US$ 300,000 and US$ 500,000 a year (Rs 2.2 - 3.5 crores). Now, if you think Nick would be too good at playing 'Fornite', then no. He isn't at the top of the food chain and is ranked #1959 in the world and #387 in the USA according to eSportsEarnings. An average day for Nick consists of him waking up at 9 AM, discussing business with the rest of the team and work on his YouTube video till 3 PM. He starts streaming his gameplay from 5 PM up till 10 PM. It may sound fun to play games for 5-6 hours every day, but for Nick, it's no longer about the fun of it, he needs to be focused and seriously analyze every match for the best results. © Epic Games Nick received his first gaming system at the age of six, it was an N64. Nick currently earns via YouTube, Twitch, Multi-Channel Networks (MCN), and tournaments. “It might have been, at that time, his biggest regret,” Overton said about his dad gifting him the system. Over time, he said, his parents eventually felt he was spending too much time playing and took it away from him. At age 12, his dad sold his XBox and accompanying games. Finally, his dad told him that if he was going to continue gaming, he needed to find a way to make money on it. The e-sports industry is estimated to be bringing in US$ 1 billion in revenue worldwide for an audience of 380 million. 'Fortnite' generated more than US$ 1 billion in revenues just within 5 months of launch and the trend has been on a consistent uphill. Source: TechSpot
