  1. One of the finest batsmen to have ever stepped onto the pitch for the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli has added another achievement to his resume. Ever since the Delhi born made his One-Day International debut against Sri Lanka in August 2008, he has played a total of 222 innings in which he has scored more than 11,000 runs. While the sheer number is extremely impressive in itself, what makes it more special is that fact that the 30-year-old has become the fastest cricketer to achieve this feat. the 222 innings are 54 fewer than the Indian master blaster, Sachin Tendulkar who had previously held the said record. #ViratKohli scores his 11,000th ODI run! He reaches the landmark in 54 fewer innings than anyone else ð pic.twitter.com/mebDOLJESs — Cricket World Cup (@cricketworldcup) June 16, 2019 The rate at which the Indian skipper is scoring and the fact that he has been extremely consistent through the years and has only aged like fine wine, has not only established his No.1 rank on the ICC ODI batsmen but also provided him with the records of scoring the fastest 8,000, 9,000 and 10,000 runs as well. Kohli has been exceptional during the ICC World Cup 2019 matchup between India and Pakistan. While batting alongside Rohit Sharma, Kohli acted as the backup support for the Hitman who was having an innings of a lifetime. When Sharma got dismissed, the skipper quickly switched gears, taking the front seat and smacking boundaries here and there. Even though the game's paused due to rain, Kohli's innings might be as crucial as Rohit Sharma's if not more.
  2. It's the best Chris in Hollywood's birthday, yay! What can I say about Chris Evans? He's a great actor, he's a great person, he's literally a golden retriever in human form. This near-perfect human being turned 38 today and we obviously need to celebrate him, and what better way than to look back at all of his best scenes from the MCU? Let's be real, he can do whatever role he wants, but he will always be Captain America (sorry, Anthony Mackie but that's what you get for a boring Black Mirror episode). As Cap, he's given us many incredible movies with unforgettable dialogues and scenes. While every scene with him is great, of course, I have listed out the best, most memorable scenes. Enjoy! Also, happy birthday, Cap! 1. The best Cap scene ever/ Hammer Time This scene, this freaking scene, is hands down the best MCU moment for me. I can watch it a hundred times and still be as excited as the first time. Such a crucial moment, Thanos is overpowering Thor and will probably kill him, but wait, in comes Cap to show he's worthy. Nothing can top this. 2. Cap vs Cap Another great 'Endgame' scene that we didn't know he needed until it actually happened. From “I can do this all day” “yeah, I know, I know” to “Bucky is alive” to “this IS America's ass”, the whole Cap vs Cap fight scene was perfect, nothing can make it better. 3. “There's only one God” What a dialogue, what a way to introduce Thor in 'The Avengers', and Steve being Steve and jumping out of planes. Also, him calling Natasha 'ma'am' proving he really is from the 40s. 4. When he blocks Thor's hammer Well, now we know how and why he could do this. He's also so worthy! Also, the moment Thor realizes they're not some random people. 5. Lift scene(s) A great scene from an overall great movie. The 'lift scene' is so memorable, it's so well done. Anyone should be afraid of getting into a lift with Chris Evans - or make fun of it - but either way, it's still one of the best MCU scenes till date and that's why there was a callback to that in 'Endgame' as well. Cap saying 'Hail Hydra' will never not be funny to me. 6. Cap is strong, like very very strong If you were not even a little turned on by Chris Evans' muscles and strength in this scene, then you're not human and you're also lying. The guy is so freaking strong, he literally could stop a fucking helicopter from flying. Strongest Avenger right here, people. Hulk who? 7. Nomad Cap! You cannot tell me that Cap's entry in 'Infinity War' wasn't one of the best scenes in a movie filled with incredible scenes. To be honest, it was the perfect way to introduce the newest Avenger - Captain America's cool new beard (and no I'm not talking about Peggy or Sharon). 8. AVENGERS…assemble Well, we started with 'Endgame' and we'll end with 'Endgame', obviously. This might not be a long scene but it's a damn powerful one. Everyone who got dusted is back - which again was a visual treat in itself - but when Cap comes in front and does what he does best - lead - it was just great to watch. Also, it was the last time these Avengers will ever assemble and the added emotional aspect makes it an unforgettable scene from the entire MCU.
  3. E3 kicks off today with EA Play but the company has already made the release date of FIFA 20 official. The game is all set to launch on September 27 but the publisher did not divulge any other more information about the upcoming game. Tonight's EA Play will be the platform where the company will reveal more details about the game; however, we do know some details that will make the game a bit better. 8.6.19 https://twitter.com/hashtag/FIFA20?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#FIFA20 https://twitter.com/hashtag/EAPLAY?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#EAPLAY https://t.co/aHA9Vq8fg6">https://t.co/aHA9Vq8fg6 https://t.co/TEKuEU7ACW">pic.twitter.com/TEKuEU7ACW — EA SPORTS FIFA (@EASPORTSFIFA) https://twitter.com/EASPORTSFIFA/status/1136648999073529856?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">June 6, 2019 EA did, however, confirm some gameplay changes that will make the game better than FIFA 19 this year. The most crucial change comes is in the AI defending mechanics as the company wants to put more emphasis on manual defending rather than letting the computer do it for you. EA plans to increase the likelihood of the ball going to your teammate after a manual tackle on your opponent. Automatic defending will also be affected as the efficient and reaction time will be reduced. This will let players hone their defending skills and depend less on the computer for defending. (c) Electronic Arts In terms of shooting, EA wants to improve accuracy during one on one or easy attacking scenarios. Goalkeeper's reaction times will also be reduced in these type of situations in order to give it a more realistic approach to defending and attacking. FIFA 19 players have complained in the past about keepers having “Superhuman" reaction times. Even when shooting, the green timed shots are also being reduced to two frames for all shots. The green timed shots are also becoming less accurate to increase the challenge of scoring a goal. EA did, however, reassure players that green timed shots will "still be more accurate than non-timed shots.” (c) Electronic Arts EA is also working hard on making the shooting and passing more realistic were volleys will be more variable, and less accurate. In terms of passing, if you pass a ball while doing a 180° turn, it will be a weaker pass than normal and also be less accurate. New passing options are also being introduced i.e. a new dinked pass where it won't be automatic anymore. It will be more contextual rather than be user-controlled. The other new passing option will be a driven pass-and-go feature which will replace the manual pass button combo.
  4. You have to admit that at times, festivals do seem like an exaggerated excuse to bring our entire clan together under a single roof. Amidst loud conversations, elaborate feasts and unending rounds of fun and frolic, festivals turn into a celebration of togetherness in many ways. Yet, if there's one thing that we can't overlook about every festival we celebrate in India, it's that all of them hold meaning and a reason behind them. Think of any festival, and you will find that there is actually a reason why we celebrate it. (c) Twitter Just the same way, the holy month of Ramzan has culminated into this day-long celebration, as the Muslim community gets together to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr today. Eid-ul-Fitr, which means the "Festival of the Breaking of the Fast", marks the end of Ramzan, and is celebrated all over the world by the followers of Islam. (c) Twitter Many might not know this, but Eid-ul-Fitr is actually a festival that is celebrated over a period of three days. On the morning of Eid, the entire family gets together over breakfast, which also serves as their first day-time meal after a month! Then, after visiting the mosque, a great feast is laid out for everybody to enjoy together amidst greetings of Eid Mubarak floating around, and demands of Eidee interrupting every other conversation. (c) Twitter However, there is more to this sweet festival, which is robust and community-centred in a lot of ways. While most of us look forward to all the good food and feasting that is synonymous to Eid, we often miss out on this underlying goodness to the festival. More than anything else, Ramzan, followed by Eid-ul-Fitr, is also about giving to others and sharing with others. Therefore, charity becomes an important part of the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations. (c) Getty Images Many Muslims happily choose to donate different kinds of food and material goods to the poor. This form of charity is called sadagah al-fitr, and is often undertaken in the hopes to ensure that everyone who is observing the month of Ramadan fasting can enjoy a special meal on the occasion of Eid. (c) Twitter From new clothes to heartfelt good wishes and blessings from elders, as well as all the food, feastings and frolic that accompany this festival, Eid-ul-Fitr is indeed a happy occasion meant for one and all who wish to join the celebrations. Here's wishing everyone Eid Mubarak on this happy occasion.
  5. When your character has always been the good guy no matter what (even when you have to execute people who literally murdered you), finding out that you have to kill that one person you love has to be a hard and emotional thing. Poor Kit Harington was so distraught, so much in disbelief when he learned that Jon Snow is the one who'll have to stop the 'mad queen' who is also his aunt and the person he loves. (He's also a Targaryen - not that it mattered - so incest is okay I guess) A new documentary called 'The Last Watch' which basically shows what was happening behind-the-scenes while the filming and production of Season 8 of 'Game of Thrones' was taking place is out. It shows all the actors preparing and shooting for the final season, and learning the ending and their character's fate. The documentary also shows the table read for the final episode and well, Kit's real reaction to finding out Jon kills Dany and well, as expected, it's the same as our reaction to that scene. He's so emotional, almost crying, that people are calling it better than the actual final scene. Look at it yourself. Poor Kit is having a proper existential crisis. And, compare to the episode. The best part is Emilia Clarke's reaction. How are her eyebrows like that? I mean, people aren't exaggerating that much. Kit looks like he went through so many emotions in just a few seconds. Obviously Sophie knew. The stages of Jon finding out he was the one to kill Dany. Note: Kit Harington did not read his script ahead of time, so this is him finding out for real. Sophie Turner obviously did, because LOOK AT THAT KNOWING SMIRK. Sansa knows what's up. pic.twitter.com/sVjKUi9Ye6 — Alex Bruce-Smith (@alexbrucesmith) May 27, 2019 I know, right? Watching Kit Harrington learn that Jon Snow is going to kill Dany is actually more emotional than watching Jon kill Dany pic.twitter.com/eWGoFDljP8 — Laura Hudson (@laura_hudson) May 27, 2019 The best series of images to ever exist. 6. It took approximately 4-5 hours for Deepika Padukone to get ready for the MET Gala or Ranveer Singh to decide his new, eccentric #OOTD. But, a nine-year old girl is recreating the same within just 45 minutes, and you know what her looks are made of? Waffles, garbage bags, broccoli, foil paper, etc. Basically, household items. Riley Dashwood is an Australian kid who does entertaining transformations and shares her views, her interpretations on Instagram of outfits worn by famous celebs, be it Bollywood or Hollywood. All her looks are planned in advance over the weekend with her parents. You will be mind-blown ahead! 1. Riley And Ranveer Singh, Who Wore It Better? © Instagram/Riley Dashwood Ranveer Singh has nailed the contemporary look in a black Bandhgala made with leaf motifs. Riley went ahead with a black tee and stuck golden leaves on it. She recreated Ranveer's beard on herself with a sketch pen. Is this even real? 2. Inspired By Lil Pump © Instagram/Riley Dashwood See those tattoos and that metallic chain on her, now who's the exact Lil Pump here? We are still guessing! 3. All The Veggie Lovers © Instagram/Riley Dashwood Riley didn't even leave the veggies in her refrigerator. Rather took them out and remade Nicki Minaj's green and white wig look. She used cauliflower, lettuce and broccoli for her hairstyle. 4. Take A Bow © Instagram/Riley Dashwood A garbage bag has never looked so chic on anyone, ever before. Look at Riley trying to work out Rihanna's oversized black jacket look. 5. 7. Ever since 'Game of Thrones' came to a disappointing and unsatisfactory ending, people are back to talking about how the greatest TV show on Earth will always be 'Breaking Bad'. But, there's a new HBO show that's coming for both 'GOT' and 'Breaking Bad'. As the name suggests, 'Chernobyl' depicts the events of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster that occurred in the Soviet Union in April 1986, and the events that followed it. The miniseries basically dramatizes “the true story of one of the worst man-made catastrophes in history and tells of the brave men and women who sacrificed themselves to save Europe from unimaginable disaster. The miniseries focuses on the heartbreaking scope of the nuclear plant disaster that occurred in Soviet Ukraine in April 1986, revealing how and why it happened and telling the shocking, remarkable stories of the heroes who fought and fell.” Since it's based on real-life events, it's already very interesting because everyone can just basically see what went down, but the actual show is already receiving so much praise and there are still two more parts left to air in this five-part series. Just look at the ratings. Comparing it to 'GOT', And, 'Breaking Bad'. Before 'Breaking Bad' and 'GOT' fans (are there any left?) come for me, yes, there are not that many people who have rated this new series and maybe that's why it has a better rating, but I'm just talking about the current numbers, okay thanks. A lot of fans are agreeing as well. Just finished episode 1. 𥽠#Chernobyl pic.twitter.com/nq0fOgOj4d — Rachael Stark (@RNJohnston) May 23, 2019 Starting it tonight. Chernobyl is so gooooood. 8. Once considered to be just a temporary fix unless one got a 'real job', bartending has evolved into a full-blown profession in India, so much so, that skilled barmen from all over the country are competing among themselves to see who the best in the business it. Scotch brand Monkey Shoulder decided to bring together some of the most talented and skilled bartenders to lock horns in a multi-level 'Ultimate Bartender Championship' for their fourth straight season in the country with the second leg of the contest taking place at AMPM, Cyber Hub, Gurgaon on Tuesday. The idea behind the competition is to help these professionals get better at what they can do and also have a little bit of exposure beyond the bar counter as well. After gruelling levels of testing the various aspects that make a great barman, 20 finalists will be selected from the major metropolitan cities with the ultimate winner getting the chance to perform at the London Cocktail Week in October. The highest-scorer from North region, Akhilesh Sheoran working with Together At 12th – Le Meridien, Gurgaon commented saying, “Bartending is a passion for me, and I am very excited to be competing at the globally recognized event.” © Top Scorer from Gurgaon - Akhilesh Sheoran with Pankaj Balachandran Brand Ambassador for Monkey Shoulder We caught up with one of the leading bartenders of the country and the Indian brand ambassador of Monkey Shoulder, Pankaj Balachandran on the contest and what it takes to be successful in this highly creative, innovative and competitive industry: “The culture of bartending in India is growing at a very fast rate. In the last 10 years of my professional career as a bartender, I have travelled a lot of European and South Asian countries and I can confidently say that in the next five to ten years, India will be the leading destination for the cocktail industry and every brand in the world has their eyes on India. It is a good time to be in the bar industry in India.” “I think bartending is the best job if you have the passion for it. While a lot of people think that it is an easy job, I am here to tell you that it isn't. You have to work for a minimum of 10-12 hours, and you have so much prep work to do.” “You are working on the ingredients, you are serving the customers, you are regularly cleaning up your space and then, of course, you are preparing the drinks as well. So, basically, while making delicious cocktails, a bartender also works as a chef, a server and also the housekeeping.” “If you have the passion for it, the sky 's the limit for you. I have this personal hashtag, #SqueezeLimeAndTravelTheWorld, and that is essentially what bartending is to me.” View this post on Instagram The bottle is not big .. we just shrunk after that epic guest shift ! What an absolute pleasure sharing the stage with @karthikbarlife ! To more such evenings and more such cocktails ! My parents said things like 'Oh! You are going to become a cleaner or a cook' because the profession was new and people did not respect the waiters or bartenders back then but the situation has changed drastically in the last 10 years. I have seen people who went to good colleges, who used to earn good money and had 'real jobs' leave everything and join bartending.” “When I started off as a Management Trainee at the Taj, I began with a pay slip worth 15 grand but that has changed. Good bartenders are now pulling massive salaries like 1.5 - 2 lakh per month, which is amazing! It almost feels as if they were hired by Google or NASA.” “The biggest lesson that I can give to aspiring bartenders out there is to stay humble and be open to learning throughout your life. A lot of barmen, if they do well in such competitions, feel like they deserve a salary double of what they used to earn and feel like they know everything and this is where they get stagnant in their career.” “Money will come but the limes still need to be squeezed.”
  9. Samsung has been working hard at innovating smartphones and it seems like we may be seeing some new upgrades and a whole new mysterious smartphone. The world's leading Samsung insider has tipped that the South Korean company is working on a smartphone that is more “creative” than the Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy Note 10. The information comes from Ice Universe and it seems like the new smartphones are expected to launch sometime in the second half of 2019. “Believe me, the most creative Samsung smartphone in the second half of 2019 is not Fold or Note 10, you just have to wait, don't ask me more,” Ice Universe said on Twitter. Believe me, the most creative Samsung smartphone in the second half of 2019 is not Fold or Note10, you just have to wait, don't ask me more. — Ice universe (@UniverseIce) May 21, 2019 Samsung is expected to release smartphones with new designs that are expected to be radically different from what we are used to. The leaker has said previously that the Note 10 will probably have a “stable and mature” design whereas the A series smartphones are expected to have “radical innovation.” © Slashgear Samsung has already made a 5x optical zoom camera that is only 5mm thick and may be the rear camera for the Galaxy Note 10 or the mysterious new phone. Samsung is reportedly using a similar periscope method for its 5x zoom camera similar to Huawei's P30 Pro. © YouTube The Galaxy A series has been known to bring some innovation to its series as the latest Galaxy A80 has a pop-up rotating camera. It's a first for any Samsung smartphone to have a pop-up rotating camera and there's a good chance we may see something similar on a different smartphone later this year. The Galaxy A series was also the first Samsung smartphone to feature an Infinity-O display which was later seen on the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus. Another report suggests that Samsung may be making a button-less smartphone, however, we can't be entirely sure as of now. There's no clue as to what this secret Samsung phone will look like, however, if we do take Ice Universe's word, then it will definitely not be a part of the Galaxy Note 10. Source: Slashgear, BGR
  10. 'Necessity is the mother of invention'. This honestly seems like some ancient desi proverb at this point because it exactly applies to 'jugaad' and no one in the world does that better than Indians. If there's a problem, there's always a solution, even if it doesn't look like one. I've always said that if it's stupid and it works, it's not stupid, and looks like even Anand Mahindra agrees. He's always pretty active on Twitter admiring or sharing new stuff and this time he decided to share what looks like a Whatsapp forward video just because it was that innovative. What do you do when you don't have an excavator but just a 'charpai' or a 'khatiya'? Well, here it is- I think the phrase 'Necessity is the mother of invention' was invented by Indians! Here's a new product our Farm & Construction sectors will have to consider as a replacement for an excavator: A 'Khatiya-vator'. #whatsappwonderbox pic.twitter.com/av3qNdIAHd — anand mahindra (@anandmahindra) May 21, 2019 Well, that's pretty cool. Am i going to hell for laughing at this? pic.twitter.com/R5HSnSc14l — Harsha ð®ð³ (@SriNow) May 21, 2019 Someone replied with more innovations. Our farmers have invented one more than one ...... Only we Indians can find another use for a 'Khatiya' in the daytime like thisðð — Charuhas (@charuhasmujumd1) May 21, 2019 Why does it sound like something Doofenshmirtz would make? 'Khatiya-vator' sounds cool ð — Harleen Kaur (@HarleenParmar) May 21, 2019 Someone literally gave the definition of jugaad. An instant solution to the problem raised by the demand of situations. Moreover the solution provided by an instant action may not be the permanent solution but good enough to meet the present. 11. If there is one thing that every true blue fan of a superhero movie, TV series or anime franchise feels very strongly about, it is attending every comic con held in their region and coming up with the best cosplay costume out there for it. Because, if you think about it, what would be the fun in attending such events celebrating the characters we love, if not for the fan-atics stepping out in their best costumes and making us witness our favourite characters come to life before our eyes? However, while most of us want to dress up like our favourite characters and head to the events amidst a lot of hooting, and multiple photo-ops and free-flowing appreciation that follows, there is one thing in particular that holds us back. The huge-ass hole that the entire project of creating a costume from scratch burns into our pockets. Trust us, we have been there. Right from scrounging for the perfect materials, to creating the accessories and props to go with it, it's a hell lot of work (and fun). However, not everyone can expend that much energy or resources on the activity, and that is the sad truth. But don't lose hope just yet because it seems a young man from Thailand has found the ultimate low-cost hack of nailing cosplay costumes. Anucha Sangchart from Bangkok has been creating real low-cost cosplay costumes for a while now, and has close to 4 million followers on his page Lowcostcosplay on Facebook. The page features hundreds of out-of-the-box ways of nailing cosplay on social media at the very least, if not for bigger events. People love his creations (some of which are downright hilarious), and keep coming back for more. However, what caught our attention this time, were some of his cosplay costume ideas for 'Game of Thrones'. They are apt, on-point and so good they'll crack you up despite yourself. 1. 12. When Activision announced the Call of Duty Mobile, I was kind of sceptical. As excited as I was, it mostly sounded as if Activision was trying to jump the bandwagon of PUBG Mobile. The last thing I wanted was Activision and Tencent fleshing out a half-baked title. Well, the battle royale mode of Call of Duty Mobile went live yesterday for beta users on Android, so I decided to check it out. Honestly, it only took me just a few rounds of the game to realise that it's very different from PUBG Mobile. In a good way. In fact, I'd say it's exceptional. Here's why I think so: © Call of Duty Mobile A 'Scout' Or A 'Clown'? Pick Your Poison! As soon as you start the battle royale mode, you won't be dropped in a server for matchmaking. Instead, you'll get an option to select and customise your loadout, which I found to be very similar to the Team Deathmatch mode of the game. Within the loadout screen, you can also choose to select your 'Class'. © Call of Duty Mobile Yes, there are a total of six classes to choose from. You can either play as a Scout, Clown, Medic, Ninja, Defender or Mechanic. Depending on the class you choose, you'll get special perks. Playing as a 'Scout', for instance, you'll get a 'Sensor Dart', with which you can see the hostile position in the radar map. As a 'Medic' you'll be able to set up a medical station that heals you and allies continuously. Yes, it's very similar to the 'Lifeline' Legend in Respawn's 'Apex Legends'. I am not going to get into details and spoil the fun, so I suggest you check out other classes and their perks once you get your hands on the title when it arrives. It's awesome! © Call of Duty Mobile The ability to select the class of your player by itself is a huge differentiator which makes this game very different, and in fact, much better than PUBG. Don't get me wrong, PUBG's simple BR approach isn't bad. But I was kind of getting bored with it. If you're too, then you'll love the Call of Duty Mobile's Battle Royale mode. Where We Droppin' Once you select your loadout and you're good to go, you'll find yourself in the lobby waiting for other players to join in. You'll then be joining 100 other players before getting dropped into the map. If you're playing in a squad or duos, one of the players will be a designated 'Jump Leader', who'll get the players to a select spot in the map. Again, very similar to Apex Legends' 'Jump Master' feature. © Call of Duty Mobile Instead of taking a parachute, as you would in PUBG Mobile, here you'll be gliding down with the help of a wingsuit. Is it better? Hell yes! I was able to fly across the map and land exactly where I wanted to every single time. It's quick and incredibly smooth. From there on, it's pretty much the same gameplay experience. You'll have to collect weapons and other loot and jump right into the action. Your character will automatically pick up all the necessary items from the ground, so you don't really have to worry about it. Just make sure you improvise and look for better loot as you progress through the game. I want to say the experience is very similar to PUBG, but that's not really the case. A Tactical Shootout Call of Duty Mobile offers a military-style tactical experience. Unlike PUBG Mobile's fancy skins, all players are well-camouflaged from the start, so it's incredibly hard to find out where they are. You really have to rely on the sound of the footsteps or their weapons. © Call of Duty Mobile Depending on the 'Class' you chose earlier in the game, you'll be able to use the perks and get some tactical advantage too. I spent most of the time playing as a 'Scout' player, so I was constantly using it to scan the area and find enemies. It was a lot of fun. The game also has vehicles, and trust me, there are a lot of them. From a two-person ATV to a squad Helicopter, there's literally a lot to choose from. Just make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. © Call of Duty Mobile Before wrapping it up, I'd also like to point out that you can revive your teammates even once they've died. Yes, this isn't something you can do in PUBG Mobile. In Call of Duty Mobile, you can pick up your dead teammate's 'Dogtag' and revive them to bring them back into the action. It's very similar to how you can revive your teammates in some modern battle royale titles like Apex Legends, Fortnite, etc. The Final Say Call of Duty Mobile is a kickass battle royale title that lets you explore to your fullest abilities. It's unlike any other tactical game I've played on mobile, so I'll give full marks for that. If you've played Call Of Duty 4's 'Blackout' mode on PC, Xbox One or PS4, then you'll find yourself right at home. It's very similar to that, which is just awesome. As I mentioned earlier, I was getting bored with PUBG Mobile, to be honest, so I had an amazing time with all the new features like the ability to select classes, customise loadout, etc. If you're bored of PUBG Mobile or Fortnite too, then you'll have a great time slaying enemies in Call of Duty Mobile. Well, at least until there's a new battle royale game in town.
  13. Karenjit Kaur Vohra better known as Sunny Leone, stood on the brink of bidding adieu to her teenage years as an 18-year-old when she made a decision that would change the course of her life. Then a trainee-nurse belonging to an astute Sikh family who had migrated to Canada, the glitzy world of softcore adult films had Karenjit hooked. © Instagram It didn't take long for Karenjit to turn into Sunny Leone, and by the age of 25 not only had she made a name for herself in hardcore adult films, but she was also disowned by legions of her extended family. India being one of the top consumers (at World #3) of adult films, took the nation by storm when Sunny made her television debut in her homeland back in 2011 with 'Bigg Boss' season 5. © Instagram The show's TRP went through the roof and marked the arrival of a new star people couldn't get enough of. Soon, Bollywood films followed and Sunny went on to make her film debut with 'Jism 2' in 2012. Though her films enjoyed mediocre success at the box office, Sunny Leone gave a number of superhit item songs that were nothing less than chartbusters (think 'Baby Doll'). However, even that went against her. Coupled with her past as an adult film star, she was turned into Bollywood's go-to Baby Doll i.e. item girl. © Instagram That's the overarching image Sunny has been forced to carry, which even her fans have very conveniently accepted. However, while there are 100 other aspects to the woman who is an actor, businesswoman, fighter, survivor, and mother besides many other roles that she plays in her life, these 5 things prove that Karenjit Kaur Weber is much more than 'Sunny Leone' and her Baby Doll identity: 1. Adopted A Girl Child © Instagram Very few celebrities in the country have set strong examples for others to follow, especially when it comes to adoption. Sunny did that by adopting her daughter Nisha when she was just 21-months-old. 2. Promoted Surrogacy © Instagram Next, she went a step further ahead and removed taboos related to surrogacy, and welcomed home her twin boys Asher and Noah, who were born via surrogacy in 2018. 3. She's An Entrepreneur © Instagram Last year, Sunny launched her first pop-store for her make-up brand called Star Struck By SL which enjoyed a great reception. Earlier, she had also launched her own perfume brand called Lust, which was such a hit it would constantly be sold out. 4. She's A Published Author © Instagram Two years ago in 2016, Sunny Leone brought out an e-book of erotic stories titled 'Sweet Dreams'. Published by Juggernaut, it's an assortment of stories that deal with love, romance and sexual desires. 5. She Supports Multiple Causes & Is A PETA Activist © Instagram Sunny Leone has often spoken about cancer and raised awareness about cruelty against animals, and not only that but she recently also came forward to support and create awareness on aquatic therapy for people with special needs.
  14. Following a record 100-point title-winning season, Manchester City chased an elusive dream of becoming the first team to successfully retain the Premier League title in the last decade. The 2018/19 season began with promise and City did what they do best - crush one opponent after another as they launched their title defence. But, as the Premier League progressed further, the Cityzens found a threat to their title defence in rampaging Liverpool. The Jurgen Klopp brigade upped the ante, matching City's every single move in the tournament. The closely-fought battle was expected to bring out the best in the two teams, but the amounting pressure also meant that someone was going to slip up. And, that's exactly what happened to City. First, a goalless draw to Liverpool with Riyad Mahrez's missing the penalty, and then, a 2-1 loss to Leicester City had Guardiola's men feeling the heat at the end of 2018. A 2-1 win over the Reds in January saw City ending Liverpool's 20-game unbeaten run, but the same month saw their eight-match winning run (in all competition) coming to an unexpected end after they go 1-2 down to Newcastle United. © Reuters City's loss to Newcastle saw Liverpool going four points clear at the top with a game in hand. And, the Anfield loyalists believed that their wait for a Premier League title for 29 years was finally going to come to an end this season. But, while the Liverpool fans were hopeful, Klopp and his men knew that it wasn't going to be easy to upstage a team of City calibre. With their back against the wall, City, staying true to its character and skillset, brought their 'A Game' to the fore. The Guardiola brigade bounced back with a 3-1 win over Arsenal and then thumped six goals past Chelsea to make their intentions clear. But, as they continued to cut down the deficit at the top in Premier League, City were humbled by a spirited Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Champions League. A 4-4 (on aggregate) result saw Spurs marching ahead in the European competition on the basis of the away-goal rule. Crashing out of a competition that has eluded them over the years, City and their fans were undoubtedly distraught as yet another Champions League campaign came to a sad end. And, the fact that they were eliminated and Liverpool were still alive and kicking in the event, further dampened the mood at the Etihad. © Reuters Beginning the season with the promise of a potential quadruple, City's elimination from the Champions League was yet another blow to Guardiola's, otherwise, rich legacy. With the dreams of conquering Europe vanquished, City, now, had Premier League to salvage some silverware and nurse their ego. And, after Liverpool's sensational comeback against Barcelona to secure a berth in this season's Champions League final, many believed that the momentum was, in fact, with the Reds to, not only win the European competition, but, maybe, pip City to the Premier League title. But, if you've followed the Cityzens this season, you'd know that this team, with Guardiola at the helm of affairs, mastered the art of delivering under pressure and surely not the one to bottle their chances. With three games to go in the season, City faced their first test against cross-town neighbours Manchester United who were forced to endure a 2-0 defeat. Then, came Leicester who almost pulled off the job, but a long-range screamer from club legend Vincent Kompany saved City the blushes in a narrow 1-0 win. © Reuters After a game of cat and mouse, it all boiled down to the Super Sunday - the day of judgement for both City and Liverpool. While City were just a win away from retaining the title, the Reds needed to win their encounter against the Wolves and wanted their rivals, at the top, to lose theirs. As the two teams began their clashes simultaneously, a 17th-minute goal from Sadio Mane put Liverpool in front, but it was Glenn Murray's header in the 27th minute for Brighton against City that had the Reds jumping out of their seats. It seemed that the pressure was going to get to City and the defending champions might throw it away. But then, a side that amassed a record 100 points last season has got to be better than that. Bouncing back like true champions, City equalised in the very next minute through Sergio Aguero's brilliant finish. Then, a 38th minute header from Aymeric Laporte put City in front, minimising the title hopes of Liverpool. Despite leading 2-1, City and their fans knew it wasn't the kind of lead they'll be comfortable taking into the last minutes of the game. And, an exquisite strike from Riyad Mahrez in the 63rd minute finally gave City some cushion to feel more comfortable. What a decision from Pep to start Mahrez today! BEAUTIFUL GOAL â½ï¸ #MCFC pic.twitter.com/8t5gZ36dlx — ManCityzens.com (@ManCityzenscom) May 12, 2019 Now, flowing freely through the midfield, City found their fourth goal as Ilkay Gundogan stamped his authority with a precise free-kick, beating Brighton shot-stopper Mat Ryan in the 72nd minute. As the final whistle blew away, the Amex stadium was overwhelmed with City's title-winning celebrations. WWWWWWWWWWWWWWinners! 14 wins in a row to wrap up and incredible season! ðµ #mancity pic.twitter.com/ONrqLSGrOe — Manchester City (@ManCity) May 12, 2019 Guardiola and his men did it. Against all odds and great competition from Liverpool, City became the first team to retain the Premier League title in the last decade. Guardiola joined the likes of Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho to become the third manager in history to win the Premier League title in back-to-back seasons. He also became the first manager to retain the league title in Spain, Germany and England. Bumps for the boss! ð ðµ #mancity ð pic.twitter.com/dVEQyujDtJ — Manchester City (@ManCity) May 12, 2019 The fact that City has amassed 198 points across two seasons surely highlights their might, but the form mustered in the run-in - 18 wins in 19 games in the second-half of the season - represents a blistering response to the challenge on their authority being mustered from Anfield. The Reds finished the season with a 2-0 win over Wolves, but their tally of 97 points - which would've been enough to win the Premier League in all but one of the previous 26 seasons - just wasn't enough to pip City to the title this season. Flying-high on the plane back to Manchester last night! ðµ #mancity ð pic.twitter.com/2hTowfIUqd — Manchester City (@ManCity) May 13, 2019 But, despite all that, are we giving enough respect to Man City? It might seem like a ridiculous question to ask given they are one of the richest clubs in the world, with a world-class squad at their disposal and possibly the best manager at the helm, but yet it is a question that begs asking. This is a side that bulldozed its way to the Premier League title last year with a swagger not seen for some time. But, it was their triumph - derived under immense pressure from relentless Liverpool - this season that showed their true character and grit - qualities of a champion side. They might still have a long way to go to win Champions League, but it shouldn't overshadow what they've achieved this season. Celebrations befitting the Champions ð« ðµ #mancity ð pic.twitter.com/gEt1xvI3HG — Manchester City (@ManCity) May 12, 2019 Now, as Liverpool gear up for the Champions League final against Hotspur in Madrid to salvage some silverware this season, Guardiola's miracle workers and their fans deserve every ounce of respect for their brilliant showing. And, as their city neighbours slump to new lows, the 'Blue Moon' continues to shine bright in Manchester.
  15. Ahead of its highly-anticipated finale, popular TV show 'Game of Thrones' had fans at the edge of their seats, clearing their schedule to catch the pilot episode. However, amid all the excitement and, contrary to popular perception, Season 8 has undeniably failed to live up to what its past instalments had managed to accomplish. The unpredictability of the show, that had once captured the imagination of the viewers is long gone, making way for predictable and obvious content. But, that's not all. There have been editing errors and the script writing has proved to be so poor, that it makes us wonder what 'GoT' would've been like if it wasn't for George RR Martin's books. Game of Thrones and Avengers: Endgame have both been on our screens in the last month. They still have nothing on the Champions League. ð pic.twitter.com/IBvNFZnDHF — Footy Humour (@FootyHumour) May 8, 2019 While one of the biggest TV shows continues to fall short on the expectations of fans, a spectacular show by the football clubs in the UEFA Champions League has proved to be a much-needed saviour. The Champions League season gave us the spirited Ajax side that gunned down European heavyweights including the likes of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Juventus. Then, we saw Tottenham Hotspur eliminating Premier League champions Manchester City in the quarterfinals. But, just when we thought we'd seen it all. The Champions League football surprised us again with memorable semifinal ties. How's champions league got more plot twists than Game of Thrones and Endgame combined. — MUUSE (@MuuseAbas) May 8, 2019 The first leg of the semifinals restored some sanity with Barcelona securing a 3-0 win over Liverpool and Ajax coming out on top again to register a 1-0 triumph over Spurs. A day later, Spurs emulated Liverpool's effort as Lucas Moura's sensational hat-trick washed away young Ajax's hopes of reaching the Champions League final. ABSOLUTE SCENES after the final whistle. The sheer emotions of the footballers and managers from both the winning and losing sides highlighted what football means to us. It's interesting that Champions League is turning out to be more interesting than Game of Thrones. That shit took 2 years to write. — Mayank Agarwal (@mayankquitenow) May 9, 2019 To put things in perspective, for the first time since 2013, the Champions League final will be without Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi. Also, this season's final will be played between two teams who haven't won the title for over 29 years. So, thank you Champions League for the unbelievable season and mind-numbing semifinals, for what it's worth, our life wouldn't have been the same without it.
  16. The last episode of 'Game Of Thrones' was full of darkness and terror, just like the cinematography of the battle of Winterfell. With the Night King meeting his destined death at the hands of the newly crowned hero Arya Stark, today's episode had a lot riding on it in terms of content and key checkpoints for the finale. Now many feel it was boring but then they have so many story lines to end and very little time left, so therefore it was all about building up for the upcoming war. © HBO Now with one dragon presumably dead or gone out of the two and Missandei dying at Cersei's hand, Khaleesi is only burning in rage. The preview of the next episode is interesting in parts and while it does not give out a lot, it still gives out enough to fathom what is coming. It shows a glimpse of fear on Cersei's face, nervousness on Tyrion's face and a "WTF just happened" look on Euron Greyjoy's face. The only sound we hear properly is the screeching arrival of the dragon. Now will Drogon spit fire and burn this dude? Who knows! © HBO Now Dany is vengeful at the moment and she might just kill for the catch and Cersei's head. Varys and Tyrion are at loggerheads because of the options available in front of them and with Tyrion swearing his loyalty to Khaleesi, Varys is exploring options. 12th May is when we get to witness the crazy war so until then, let the assumptions flow.
  17. 2018 saw one of the most memorable Hindu-Christian weddings of the year with Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' lavish 3-day wedding affair in Jodhpur. 19. No one knows what will happen to Facebook in the next fifty years. But what we do know is that if Facebook manages to stay in business till 2069, then it'll have profiles of more dead people than that of living. According to academics from the University of Oxford, the number of dead people on Facebook could outnumber the living on the social network. It looks like the number of dead users on Facebook is growing at an unstoppable rate. © Reuters Back in 2012, Facebook had 30 million accounts of dead people. But now, the platform has over two billion users and an estimated 8,000 users die every single day. Based on that, it's predicted that the number of dead users could reach at least 1.4 billion or potentially as high as 4.9 billion by the end of the century. And if Facebook's growth rate keeps going down at the current rate, then it'll literally become a digital graveyard at one point with just the 'memorial' profiles of dead people. Seriously, it's damn scary. And yes, in case you didn't know, the platform will keep your account alive in a digital form once you die. It'll preserve your online thoughts, memories, relationships, and more. The company recently added a bunch of features to manage the accounts of dead people too.
  20. The most anticipatory moment of the entire year is finally here and fans are going berserk witnessing a decade-worth of films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe coming to an end with 'Avengers: Endgame', in the theatres. The movie came to the halls on the 26th Of April and it's been running packed in theatres since! There are over 25 lakh tickets sold out on the online booking portal BookMyShow and with that, 'Avengers: Endgame' has become the fastest film to have surpassed the two-million advance ticket sales mark on BookMyShow! This is actually quite phenomenal. © Walt Disney Studios Motion pictures According to Forbes, the movie has performed extremely well and has raked in an opening day collection of $216.6 million (around INR 1403 crore) worldwide, with $47.6 million (around INR 334 crore) coming in from China. That's one box office record to beat, TBH! In India alone, some theatres have opened screenings 24x7 to actually meet the increasing demands of watching the show the day it's out. Which makes sense though. A true Marvel fan won't wait a week anyway to watch 'Avengers: Endgame' and there are quite a few of those in India. © Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture "With just a few hours left for 'Avengers: Endgame' to hit the screens, the frenzy around the film is unprecedented. The cinemas are doing everything possible to match fans' demand for the film, including round-the-clock screenings as also opening up advance bookings for the entire week ahead." Ashish Saksena, the COO for BookMyShow told a popular news agency. According to a trade analyst, 'Avengers: Endgame' is expected to earn over $260 million (a whopping INR 1823 crore), while some believe the film will definitely cross the $300 million-mark (INR 2104 crore). This is an insane record breaker in the history of cinema and if you haven't caught it yet, it's about time you do! The film has excellent reviews from every corner of the world! © Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture 'Avengers: Endgame' is the 22nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and stars Robert Downey Jr. Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson and Brie Larson, among many others.
  21. One of the most difficult things I remember while growing up in the 2000 is carrying an 8-kg laptop to college every day, over and above those big, fat engineering books. Now you would say it's not really a big deal, but trust me, when your back has to carry heavy equipment day in and day out, it is a big deal. But things have changed now. For better! Recently, I got my hands on the brand new Asus ZenBook, which is, wait for it.... Is smaller than an A4 size paper! 1. Ultralight & Ultrathin Asus I have the ZenBook 13 UX33 that weighs a feather-light 1.19kg. And as I have already mentioned, it is as small (or smaller) than an A4 size paper, about 279x210 mm. Additionally, it is only 13.9mm thin, and thanks to magnesium-aluminum alloy, this laptop is about 33% lighter than the standard alloy used in laptops. This always let you travel in ease without putting any pressure on your back. 2. Smart And Comfortable ErgoLift Design For Better Typing Asus The ZenBook series comes with a full-size backlit keyboard that gives a seamless typing experience in any lighting condition. Crafted for optimum comfort, this laptop is equipped with 1.4mm key travel distance, and a glass covering for smooth control. It also features palm-rejection technology and supports multi-finger gestures and handwriting. 3. 22. In an unexpected news last week, Sony's lead architect Mark Cerny dropped a bunch of new details about Sony's upcoming console, the PlayStation 5. From the looks for it, it appears as though the PS5 will be the most powerful gaming console ever built. But that's only until you hear what Microsoft is said to be cooking for us. If the rumours are to be believed, it looks like Microsoft is readying a beast of a console dubbed 'Xbox Anaconda'. We're not entirely sure about the innards of this next-gen Xbox console, but it certainly looks like it'll dwarf PS5's AMD Ryzen CPU, RAM, and SSD. © Unsplash Ainsley Bowden, founder and head editor of Seasoned Gaming, tweeted out saying that Microsoft's Anaconda will be more advanced than its rival. It was apparently confirmed by 'multiple insiders'. Exactly how Anaconda will outperform PS5 is still something that remains to be seen, but we're very excited to how it's all going to go down. If we're to guess though, we think the next-gen Xbox console would have a faster CPU, a more powerful GPU, extra RAM, and more. There are a lot of unanswered Yes, very exciting indeed. We just hope they'll avoid some of the mistakes they made with the last console. © Microsoft Will it manage to outperform PS5 and become more successful? Honestly, there's no guarantee of success. Think about it, the Xbox One is currently the most powerful console on the market, yet the PS4 has outsold it by a significant margin. Nonetheless, it's an exciting time for all the console gamers, and we just can't to wait to see what's in store for us.
  23. Last evening's Indian Premier League match between Mahendra Singh Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings and Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore produced some really incredible moments of the 2019 season of the league. The thrilling last-minute drama with the brilliant direct hit by the RCB wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel allowed his side to win the third game of the season in a nail-biter. However, the innings played by the former Indian skipper has to be the talk of the town. While scoring his career best in the IPL (83 not out), Dhoni looked and played like his old self when he was challenging the age-old techniques of some of the greatest batsmen of the game with his unorthodox style and brute power. Mahi came to play and was focused from the first delivery, scoring a boundary at the deep point. We also got to see the finesse and creativity of the batter that he gathered and evolved through the years and years of playing international cricket as he smoothly directed a wide ball towards the deep fine leg. This career best performance consisted of five fours and a barrage of sixes, one of which was the longest any cricketer had hit this season at 111 metres, with the ball going out of the M. Chinnaswamy stadium onto the busy roads of Bangalore. What looked like an out-of-hand game for the 'Whistle Podu' franchise, came to the final delivery thanks to the superhuman game played by Dhoni. However, with a dot ball and a failed single, his efforts did not lead to a win. Nonetheless, Dhoni's efforts were recognised by the world: Dhoni for PM. It's not just about striking, it's about backing himself & being calculative. Top innings from him. 24. Death penalty -- that is what a government-sanctioned killing of a person is known as. And the grievous process of taking a person's life is known as execution. This isn't a topic most of us would want to read about on any given day. We're sure you have much better things to do than dwell on this, much like the rest of us. © Getty Images Yet, here we are writing about it, and if you're still here, hang on for a little longer because things are about to get interesting now. Recently, we came across a report on world's top executioners and the data literally forced us to pen this piece. For the longest time Saudi Arabia has been the most infamous for its executions that doesn't spare any human life guilty in the eyes of the law in the state. Turns out we were mistaken big time. Not only does Saudi Arabia doesn't conduct most number of executions, but it also doesn't stand at number 2 one the list. © Getty Images According to an Amnesty International report, revealed that China is after all the world's top executioner by far! Over thousands of people were put to death last year in the country even when the accurate figures are still not known and remain a state secret. Saudi Arabia on the other hand holds the third spot on the list after Iran, which is second in line with its number of execution lying at over 253 executions in 2018. Saudi Arabia on the other hand conducted 149 executions last year. © Statista Who would have thought one of Asia's fastest growing economies is also a leading country in carrying out the most number of executions! FYI, executions in China are mostly enforced for murder and drug trafficking, and are carried out by lethal injection or gun shot. *Jitters*
  25. After making us wait for almost two years, the final season of 'Game Of Thrones', one of the greatest shows ever made, is going to drop in a few hours. Finally that time is here when people will exit all their Whatsapp groups, delete their social media apps and stop answering phone calls, JUST to avoid getting any spoilers. This is the time when your real fandom will be tested. HBO While everyone is busy asking, "Who will sit on the throne?" if there was one for the greatest fan, we know who would sit on it. This guy who recreated the dragon egg from scratch and made it look better than the one used in the show. YouTube This might be a 5-minute long video, but the hard work that went behind making this is over 40 hours. This dragon egg was made by Rextorn Metalwork, a design shop in Poland. YouTube This guy, whom I will now call the biggest fan of GOT, used various techniques like repousse and metal spinning, to turn a copper sheet into a gorgeous and flawless dragon egg. There is honestly no dearth of talent in the world and almost every other day, someone somewhere is proving it right.
