  1. It is Varun Dhawan's birthday today. The actor, who impressed everyone with his portrayal of Zafar in 'Kalank' (let's not talk about the fight scene with a CGI bull), the actor turned 32 today, by 'kicking in' his birthday in Thailand with Muay Thai. View this post on Instagram Kicking in the bday. Thank u for all the wishesð¤ð¼ A post shared by Varun Dhawan (@varundvn) on Apr 23, 2019 at 10:01pm PDT From Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon, Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Madhuri Dixit Nene to his girlfriend Natasha Dalal; almost all his friends in Bollywood had all the nicest things to say about Varun and wished him luck. Instagram However, it was actor Arjun Kapoor's birthday wish, who also happens to be Varun's 'chaddi buddy', which caught our attention. Arjun wished him in the most savage way and let's be honest that's what best friends do: they embarass you and make fun of you. But, you still love them and can't live without them. Although everyone thinks Arjun and Ranveer are best bros, here are some moments that prove Arjun and Varun are 'best friend goals' and have been constantly redefining brocode under our nose. 1. Their Mutual Hatred And Now Love For Katrina Kaif If you are someone who has never heard of 'I Hate Katrina Kaif' fan club, then chances are you were living under a rock all this time. And since you didn't know about the club, you wouldn't know that Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor were the proud founders or admins of this club. Recently they underwent a change of heart and turned the club's name to 'We Love KK' and gave her a Dalmatian trophy too. View this post on Instagram So @varundvn & I are starting a new fan club #WeLoveKK aka @katrinakaif !!! Here we are seen awarding her, for absolutely no reason whatsoever... PS - the Dalmatian trophy Katrina's holding represents our faithful friendship kyunki yeh dosti #firstclass hai !!! ððð A post shared by Arjun Kapoor (@arjunkapoor) on Mar 27, 2019 at 5:32am PDT 2. When Arjun And Varun Trolled Each Other On Koffee With Karan 'Koffee With Karan 6' was undoubtedly the most happening season of all time. While Arjun and Varun came seperately this year, they once appeared together and rocked the episode like no one else. For instance, when Arjun threw shade on Varun. Varun: "I was consistent in my performance." Arjun: You were consistently bad." Or when Varun revealed, "You have no idea what roles we've played in acting school. I've played a dog and he's played my master. I've played a waiter and he's played a coconut seller." Twitter 3. Their Bromance On Twitter This one time they walked the ramp ahead of the release of 'Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya' and Arjun wrote on Twitter, "How can anyone stay angry with Badri? Walking like a baausss badristyle!!!" To which Varun replied "Arjun bhaiya tum hamara bahut good friend ho." Twitter 4. They Always Have Each Other's Back In one of the interviews, Varun said "I am very open to criticism. Usually, I take criticism from my friends, family, Karan Johar. When you act with a lot of people, there are very few who would like to criticise you but I have got a few, like Arjun (Kapoor) would criticise me when he gets a chance, which is very often." No matter how much they troll each other or their acting, Varun and Arjun always have each other's back. Twitter 5. His Savage Birthday Wish Since we are talking about his birthday, how can we not talk about his birthday post. From calling him a coolie, marketer to the child who refuses to grow up, Arjun's birthday wish looks like our regular conversation with our bros. We'll give you weird names, make fun but will ALWAYS wish and want the best for you. View this post on Instagram My Brother from another Mother... Humare Guruji, our #VDin3D the street dancer, the coolie, the marketer, the child who refuses to grow up... Happy Birthday @varundvn hope u lay the smack down on this coming year !!! Ps - This amazing double role image brought to u by @shanoosharmarahihai !!! A post shared by Arjun Kapoor (@arjunkapoor) on Apr 23, 2019 at 10:11pm PDT
  2. Death penalty -- that is what a government-sanctioned killing of a person is known as. And the grievous process of taking a person's life is known as execution. This isn't a topic most of us would want to read about on any given day. We're sure you have much better things to do than dwell on this, much like the rest of us. © Getty Images Yet, here we are writing about it, and if you're still here, hang on for a little longer because things are about to get interesting now. Recently, we came across a report on world's top executioners and the data literally forced us to pen this piece. For the longest time Saudi Arabia has been the most infamous for its executions that doesn't spare any human life guilty in the eyes of the law in the state. Turns out we were mistaken big time. Not only does Saudi Arabia doesn't conduct most number of executions, but it also doesn't stand at number 2 one the list. © Getty Images According to an Amnesty International report, revealed that China is after all the world's top executioner by far! Over thousands of people were put to death last year in the country even when the accurate figures are still not known and remain a state secret. Saudi Arabia on the other hand holds the third spot on the list after Iran, which is second in line with its number of execution lying at over 253 executions in 2018. Saudi Arabia on the other hand conducted 149 executions last year. © Statista Who would have thought one of Asia's fastest growing economies is also a leading country in carrying out the most number of executions! FYI, executions in China are mostly enforced for murder and drug trafficking, and are carried out by lethal injection or gun shot. *Jitters*
  3. Game of Thrones season 8 premiere was the show's most-watched episode ever. That's right, it was watched by a record 17.4 million viewers when it aired. But you know what? That number could have been much higher if more people would have watched it, you know, legally. According to a digital-piracy analytics company Muso, the “Winterfell” episode was pirated 54 million times globally in just 24 hours. The pirated views easily dwarfs the legal views that came on the day it was aired. Of course, the number will likely go up in the coming days as more people start watching it, but so will the pirated views. © HBO MUSO's data also shows that the most pirated views came from India. Roughly 10 million views out of the estimated 54 million came from India. MUSO speculates that the piracy in India was higher due to the difficulty of accessing the show there. China, on the other hand, airs a censored version of the show, so 5 million pirated views came from there too. United States, despite having the easiest access to the show via HBO, came third in charts with close to 4 million illegal views. So yes, it looks like people are not ready to pay to watch 'Game of Thrones' after all. Anyway, the next episode of 'Game of Thrones' season 8 airs Monday, April 22 at 6.30 AM on Hotstar in India. So, you still have some time to catch up if you haven't already.
  4. The character of Bhallaldeva is perhaps the only 'villain' ever, that got more attention than the 'hero' himself. The reason? The sheer charisma of the actor who played it. Rana Daggubati has it all - women want him, men want to be like him, kids idolize him. And why not? The man, apart from being an actor worth his salt, is quite the looker, add to that his raw charisma and inimitable beard game - and we get 'the full package'. His style game is super strong as well, and fashion designers and stylists know it. With a height of almost 6'3", he has slayed it on the runway multiple times. Here are some of those instances. 1. Can you picture anything else but this, when someone says 'sophisticated royal elegance'? © BCCL 2. We're digging the sheer kurta and scarf, along with the voluminous dhoti. © BCCL 3. What's royalty if not a bit extra? © BCCL 4. Who else can make such a simple, relaxed ensemble look this fancy? © BCCL 5. If this doesn't prove that men can wear colours while not compromising on their masculinity (not that it matters), nothing else will. © BCCL 6. He looks as tall as those designer sketches! © BCCL 7. We're all for the Lord Krishna vibe going on in here. © BCCL 8. He looks like he was born for the ramp. © BCCL Bravo, Rana!
  5. When it comes to Aamir Khan, you can expect nothing but perfection. His performance, his looks, his delivery...it's always a pleasure to watch the superstar shine on our screens. What has he not done, really? From playing an alien to portraying a wrestler to charming us with his guy-next-door smile, Aamir Khan is the powerhouse of versatility and talent. Here are 5 times we couldn't take our eyes off Mr.Khan and his amazing transformations: 1. Dangal This is one of the most extreme body transformations any Bollywood actor has done for a movie. For 'Dangal', Aamir played the role of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat - his younger and older days, all at once. The actor had put on almost 25 kilos to portray older Phogat, and then went ahead and lost all of the extra weight, beefed up and aced the part as the younger Phogat. Now that's what we call dedication! 2. Thugs Of Hindostan If any actor in Bollywood can play goofy and eccentric, and still look great on screen is Aamir. For his recent action-adventure film, 'Thugs Of Hindostan', he plays Firangi Mallah, a quirky character with outlandish sense of fashion. Think loud, loose jackets, a top hat, round glasses, unkempt hair, thick moustache and stubble. 3. The PhonePe TVC Unless you're living under a rock, you must have already seen the terrific PhonePe video where Aamir is playing a grandfather, and his makeover is as real as it gets. Besides, the Daddu-Gublu duo on screen is adorable to the core! You have to watch it to believe me. Needless to say, the actor is now the official brand ambassador of PhonePe, a digital payments platform with 100 million customer-base and top-notch services. For instance, the brand is making an effort to educate customers on UPI, how safe and secure it is, and how simple PhonePe works. Additionally, there is also the Apps-in-App use, wherein customers do not need multiple mobile apps, and they can simply use PhonePe for cab bookings, food, travel, recharge data and DTH, and much more. You can also use the PhonePe app on all offline merchants as well. For more details, visit the website. What's more? PhonePe is also an official co-presenting sponsor for the television broadcast of VIVO IPL 2019. But wait, we aren't done yet. If you make a UPI transaction on PhonePe during this T20 season, you can get a chance to win a trip to watch Team India play in England this summer. How cool is that? 4. PK One of the blockbusters of 2014, 'PK' saw Aamir transform into a humanoid alien with a lean physique, flat hair, weird-meets-vexed expressions and popping ears. He's truly one perfectionist! 5. Ghajini 'Ghajini' came at a time when every Bollywood actor was trying to get either an eight or a six-pack abs. Aamir's transformation during that time made it to the headlines - eight-pack abs, well-defined chest muscles, crew cut, and of course, remember the tattoos?
  6. Union Minister and former actor Smriti Irani who ruled the small screen for the most part of the decade starting year 2000 and is most popularly known for playing the role of Tulsi Virani in the Star Plus soap opera 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'. While her years of acting may have come to an end, Smriti has not given up on the prospect of entertaining people around her at all times. One such method that she applies to reach this end is by connecting with her followers and fans on social media. We followed the trend of her funny and sassy Instagram posts and came to the conclusion that she has a special liking for the days of the week and how they impact our psyche on a weekly basis. While this entire story could have been made out of just those relatable posts around “Monday blues” and “Friyay highs”, we decided to bring you a mix of them all. Here are some of Smriti Irani's funniest Instagram posts of recent times: 1. Her honest confession on dealing with “teenage tantrums” is pretty apt. 7. It's true that actions speak louder than words, but for most women, the words still matter all the same. While there might be hundreds of ways how you can sneak into her heart and make a home out of it, there isn't quite anything like a sweet things you can say to her, every once in a while. But mind you, if those are mere empty words, and you don't mean a thing you say, she'll know, and you will end up losing her instead. So, we suggest you tread carefully when it comes to “sweet talking” into her life. Often called sweet nothings, these words and phrases are loaded with love and romance, which are meant to be gently whispered into your lover's ears. Women love sweet nothings, and they always work when you are trying to rev up your romance. However, changing times often demand a change of action, and so nowadays tiny, meaningful poems also do the trick. View this post on Instagram Puppy Pappy • ð¸ @_singhambika_ A post shared by Arunoday Singh (@sufisoul) on Dec 27, 2018 at 9:17pm PST And when we thought of such meaningful sweet nothings to recommend to you, we could only think of actor Arunoday Singh's honest creations, that are so sweet and meaningful, women hang by every word he scribbles onto a piece of paper. 8. One of the biggest roles for the officials who are responsible for maintaining security during a live match inside a stadium is to ensure the safety of the players playing in the field. The fear of someone invading the ground without proper documentation keeps all of them on their feet throughout the game, with eyes and ears on high alert, scouring the seats for the slightest hints of suspicious movement. Even then, there are some opportunistic 'fans' of the game who manage to dodge the security, get inside the field and do their best to interact with the athletes. 1. Fan Runs To Dhoni With The Indian Flag During the third and final T20I against New Zealand, one of Mahi's millions of fans was able to surpass the stadium security while darting for his idol's feet in love and respect whilst carrying the Indian national flag. Dhoni also got the fan up on his feet, greeted him nicely and before he ran away clearly overflowing with joy as the security guard followed him in pursuit. 2. Tendulkar's Disciple Touches His Feet The man used to get letters written in blood during his prime. However, in 2013, during the Ranji season, as Sachin Tendulkar scored a ton, a fan entered the field and fell at the master blaster's feet, calling the batsman his god. He said: “It feels strange when a fan comes and touches your feet and says you are God. I don't feel comfortable with it, but it is the way they feel about you…” 3. A Viratian Tries To Kiss King Kohli In October last year, during the second Test match between India and West Indies, an over-enthusiastic fan found the opportunity to race down the field and get his hands on the Indian captain, quite literally so. Yikes. 4. Dhoni Plays 'Hide and Seek' With Fan We had to save the best for last. After India were done with their batting innings during the second ODI against Australia in Nagpur recently, one of the invaders managed to run past the security and straight towards the former Indian captain who decided play a little game of hide and seek with the fan. 9. After 'Sacred Games', the only web series to have garnered commercial as well as critical acclaim alike, not to mention enormous popularity, is Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti's 'Made in Heaven'. Arjun Mathur's character 'Karan Mehra' is perhaps one of the most interesting character leads we have seen till now, and Mathur has done absolute justice to the role. However, he has more to him than the amazing acting chops. Our homie here is super fashionable IRL, and here are 10 pictures which prove that. 1. 10. When it comes to redemption in the domain of style, no one in Bollywood quite had it as successfully as a certain Mr Suniel Shetty. From shabby, ill-fitting clothes during the '90s to being the picture of suavity currently, at the age of 57 (what?), his style game has only improved with age - just like fine wine. What sets him apart from the crowd is his versatility, especially his comfort with pulling off traditional Indian wear as nonchalantly as athleisure. The way he pulls off a dhoti like it's no big deal, is one for the books, and here are 8 times he wore it, rocked it, and showed it why it needs to come back to our wardrobes immediately. 1. 11. Ever since Delhi boy Virat Kohli became the captain of the Indian cricket team, subtlety has been knocked out of the park. Mahendra Singh Dhoni's era as the skipper was full of awards and achievements but the man had a cool and calm attitude which reflected in his celebrations. While Kholi's reign has not lacked in bringing laurels for the country, the intensity of commemorating them has definitely gone up dramatically. Make no mistake, these are great ways of expressing your achievements and hey, when you are the best cricketer in the world, who are we to criticise? Therefore, joining the bandwagon of crazy fans of the sport, we list out the four times Virat Kohli celebrated his achievement in the most epic ways: 1. 'My Bat Does The Talking' Cricket has always been a gentleman's game but that does not stop the players from mouthing off hurtful things to their opponents every once in a while. Something similar happened during India's latest visit Down Under when bowler Pat Cummins assured the whole world that Kohli will not be scoring a century during this tour. If you know anything about Kohli, you know that he is never one to shy away from challenges. During the second Test match that took place in Perth King Kohli sent the ball for the boundary on the third day to record his 5th Test century of 2018 and then did this: An incredible innings from a remarkable player. What a celebration from Virat Kohli! #AUSvIND pic.twitter.com/kTHMmycfFb — Cricket Network (@CricketNetwork) December 16, 2018 2. Mic Drop During the final ODI match between England and India in 2018, English skipper Joe Root celebrated his brilliant knock with a move he derived from musicians and rockstars and maybe even the former US President, Barack Obama when he dropped his bat on the floor while Kohli looked on. During the first Test match up the next month, however, it was Virat's turn to give Root a taste of his own medicine. A brilliant direct-throw to the wickets on Root's side led him back to the dressing room. On his way back, from the corner of his eye, Root could see Kohli drop the imaginary mic to celebrate the farewell. 3. The Pujara Dance This one comes after the historic Test-series victory against Tim Paine's team on Australian soil. Following a masterclass of a batting performance by India's second Wall, Cheteshwar Pujara (193), India went on to win the four-match Test series 2-1 after the third Test was cancelled due to rain and bad light. Kohli brought in Pujara and the rest of the team in a hurdle to celebrate the feat. in the funniest way possible, by doing the 'Pujara Dance'. Albeit, Rishabh Pant was the one who came up with the 'moves', it was Kohli who did the impossible when he made Pujara dance as well. Cheteshwar Pujara: can bat, can't dance? ð¤£ð¤£ Celebrations have well and truly begun for Team India! #AUSvIND pic.twitter.com/XUWwWPSNun — cricket.com.au (@cricketcomau) January 7, 2019 4. Kiss For The Belle During the third Test match against England at Trent Bridge all the way back in August of 2018, Virat Kohli notched a heroic 149-run innings to bring the Men in Blue back into the game. His wife Anushka Sharma was present at the venue as well and saw him take the English bowlers to task. As the batsman secured his 23rd ton in Test cricket, he took his helmet off and began to blow flying kisses to his wife, who stood tall in the stands, proud of Kohli's achievements. 13. After 'Gully Boy' happened, a number of artists came under the limelight - some for their acting chops, and some for their rapping gift. While Siddhant Chaturvedi and Vijay Varma fall under the former, rappers like Divine and Naezy belong to the latter. One cutthroat rapper in particular who made the headlines, more so because of 'destroying' Raftaar in a rap battle, is Emiway Bantai. While people can't stop praising his fierce rap game, most don't know that his style game is inimitable as well. Here are 10 pictures which prove that. 1. 14. Despite the stories of The Undertaker dying 7-8 times only to return to WWE, it may come to a lot of people as a huge surprise (maybe even an emotional trauma) that wrestling is NOT REAL. The in-ring performers do not have real life rivalries (not usually) against each other and let's face it, nobody in their right mind would want to have a personal beef with someone as massive and scary as Brock Lesnar. No, Kane didn't roam around with a scary mask back in the day, nor is Dean Ambrose a real-life 'lunatic fringe', going around the city with a cane stick. In wrestling terms, these are gimmicks and are known as 'kayfabe characters' that wrestlers don in order to entertain the audience as good or bad guys. While in a sector as competitive as WWE, wrestlers tend to work on their characters time and again in order to stay relevant with time, there are some stars who struggled to relate with the wrestling fans initially but finally found their calling in some of the most unique personas that anybody had the imagination to come up with. Here are the top 4 times WWE wrestlers changed their in-ring gimmick that led them to all the fame and fortune in the world: Rocky Maivia To The Rock You know that we aren't kidding around when we start our list with “the most electrifying man in the business”, Dwayne Johnson who is not only one of the biggest names in the wrestling world but also a Hollywood icon and his gimmick as The Rock had a major part in propelling him to such heights. His charisma and the ability to come up with the greatest of insults instantly got him his millions and millions of followers. But before he became 'The Rock', he was 'Rocky Maivia', an over-friendly guy with noodles for his hair (his words, not ours) who was literally hated by the WWE Universe so much that they'd chant “Die Rocky, Die” everytime Maivia stepped inside the ring. Evil Dentist To Kane The Big Red Machine and The Undertaker's brother Kane was a scary big man with a mask and the physique which was that of a monster. Never the one to spend too much time behind the microphone and not indulging too much in comical backstage cuts was Glen Jacobs thing and it worked for him like a charm. But before being one half of the Brothers of Destruction, Kane was known as Dr. Isaac Yankem, an evil dentist employed by Jerry 'The King' Lawler in a mid-90s feud with Bret 'The Hitman' Hart. With rotten teeth, curly hair and an awful French beard, Jacobs admittedly hated his character of Dr. Yankem to its core. The Ringmaster To 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin Beer drinking, limp-walking baldy with an ego probably bigger than WWE as a business, that's the Texas Rattlesnake 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin for you. The leader of the 'Attitude Era', Austin's feuds with Vince McMahon and The Rock continue to be fan favourites and had led WWE to the pinnacle of its weekly viewership. However, Austin 3:16 wasn't always the egomaniacal badass we remember him to be. Before donning the jeans-shorts and scary knee braces, he used to be known as 'The Ringmaster', a clean shaven wrestler who used to fight in green tights and was hired by Ted DIbiase 'The Million Dollar Man' as the next of kin for his Million Dollar Belt. The Ringmaster was a disaster. The Prototype To John Cena Probably the closest wrestler to command a reaction as dynamic as The Rock, John Cena has been on top of the food chain in the modern PG era. His brilliant physique combined with his microphone skills and the ability giants like Mark Henry and Big Show on his shoulders for an Attitude Adjustment led him to creating his own Cenation of John Cena fans. But that wasn't always the case for the Champ. Before coming into WWE, Cena was known as 'The Prototype' which basically meant that he was more of a cyborg. Forced to move like a robot, Cena had to talk like a machine as well. Cena described his 'Prototype' gimmick as “50 percent man, 50 percent machine, 100 percent crap”.
  15. If Freddie Mercury could meet Rami Malek in his 'Bohemian Rhapsody' avatar, he'd probably have flipped because he'd feel like he's looking into a mirror. Now, we all have seen how Rami has delivered an explosive performance as the intense Freddie (and the universe agrees because Hello Oscars!), but did you know the man can boast of an equally strong fashion game as well? 16. 'Black Panther', without a doubt, was one of the biggest Marvel movies, and Chadwick Boseman became a household name overnight. His acting chops sure helped him grab all the eyeballs, but he does know how to add on to that with his super eccentric style game. 17. Although The Great Khali's World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) days expired way back in 2015, the fact that he represented India on such a grand stage for so long and even won the World Heavyweight Championship by eliminating stars like Batista and Kane in 2007, only adds to his success as an in-ring performer. A byproduct of Khali's immense success with WWE was the number of movie deals the 'Punjabi Playboy' got to sign. We are talking about big-budget movies working alongside renowned actors like Steve Carell and Adam Sandler. What is even more amazing and praiseworthy is that fact that Khali even ended up doing a French film (which might even be the best one he has done till date). Here are four international movies The Great Khali was a part of: 1. Get Smart Let's begin with the movie that gave Khali the most amount of on-screen time. In one of the greatest action-comedy films of all time, Khali played the role of Dalip, the Indian bodyguard of villain Seigfried (Terence Stamp), who is going through a tough divorce. One of the biggest scenes of the movie involves Khali skydiving off a plane in pursuit of protagonist Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell) and Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway). 2. Longest Yard In this mega-starrer, Khali plays the role of a convict named Turley spending his sentence in a maximum security prison. Motivated and coached by Paul 'Wrecking' Crewe (Adam Sandler), Turley decides to play from Crewe's team in an American football match against the prison guards. Khali's funniest moment comes when Crewe admits to sabotaging the prisoners' game against the guards and Turley says: “I'm glad you're back, now I don't have to stab you.” Yikes! 3. MacGruber In the quest of saving America from a crazy terrorist who's somehow got his hands on a nuclear warhead, ex-special force MacGruber (Will Forte) forms an unusual team of extraordinary men. Teaming up with the likes of Kane, Big Show and Mark Henry, The Great Khali plays the role of a car mechanic who is one of the members of Macgruber's special team. 4. Sur La Piste Du Marsupilami Based on the 1952 comic book character called Marsupilami, a mythical animal, the 2012 French film revolves around reporter Dan Geraldo (Alain Chabat) and his adventure to discover the creature. Amidst his adventure, Geraldo, along with fellow traveller Pablito Camaron (Jamel Debbouze), gets into some trouble and is put in a small jail with Bolo (Khali) who gives them the beating of their life. What's the best part about the giant's character? His voice!
  18. WWE wrestlers are expected to come up (or borrow) a particular move that is considered to be their 'signature move', so to speak. This manoeuvre should not only look dangerous and painful for their opponents but ideally, should also add to the kayfabe character of the particular wrestler. Take for example the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels' 'Sweet Chin Music' which was basically a direct kick to the jaw of the opponent. It was quick, unpredictable, appeared to be powerful enough and most importantly, it looked good, just what Michaels' character would want his finisher to be. Through the decades of WWE, we have come across many of these iconic moves that, let's be honest, we all have tried on our siblings. What a lot of people couldn't have fathomed was the fact that some of these moves, which not only seemed painful to watch, are very dangerous in reality and can knock your opponent out instantly or make them submit within seconds of engaging. Here's the list of the top four times, MMA fighters used WWE moves in real-life: 1. Jonno Mears against Aaron Jones - Chris Jericho's Walls Of Jericho: It felt as if Mears was on a dare as he was going for the legs ever since the beginning of the fight. When he was able to get a hold of Aaron Jones' legs, his instant reaction was to go for the Boston Crab, made famous by WWE's Y2K, Chris Jericho himself! Here's his version of the move: 2. Quinton Jackson against Ricardo Arona - Batista's Batista Bomb: Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson found himself halfway in a Triangle Choke in a bout versus Ricardo Arona. His quick thinking combined with his supernatural core strength led Jackson to counter the hold with an outrageous Power Bomb. Although not as dramatic, Jackson's move was obviously inspired by Batista's finisher, the Batista Bomb: 3. Alan Belcher vs. Patrick Cote - The Undertaker's Tombstone Piledriver: While not as clean, Belcher's version of The Undertaker's Piledriver was equally impactful. In a match against Patrick Cote, the then 25-year-old decided to lift Cote upside down before slamming him on his head. The crowd's reaction says it all: The Deadman's version is a lot more creepy though: 4. Cat Zingano vs. Amanda Nunes - Randy Orton's DDT Channelling her inner 'Viper', the American MMA fighter, Cat Zingano performed a DDT on UFC then-bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes as she locked her head and drove it to the mat. Cat's WWE inspired move also led to her winning the title later that evening. Randy Orton's DDT is a little different (and a lot more innovative) though:
  19. Ali Fazal has been a known face for quite a while now. But after the roaring success of Amazon Prime's web series 'Mirzapur' for his role as Guddu Pandit along Vikrant Massey, Ali Fazal is here to stay. Having appeared in Bollywood movies like '3 Idiots' and movie franchise 'Fukrey' to his role in the popular International movie franchise 'Fast and Furious 7', Ali has sure come a long way. As excelling in the acting department appears to be his top priority, his style game isn't too far on the list. Ali Fazal has been serving looks that are high-rated on the fashion radar lately. 20. Christopher Henry Gayle, a name which has already been engraved in the history of cricket as one of the most powerful hitters the game has ever seen. On one hand, where hitting a six is a very common sight in cricket, many believe that a six by Chris Gayle should at least be given a run count of eight, instead of just six. The power with which this man hits a ball is out of this world. There have been uncountable instances where a match has been stopped just because the ball was smacked outside the stadium by the 'Gayle-force'. Rumours surrounding Gayle's retirement were proven correct yesterday, as the Indies star announced his retirement from the ODI format post the ICC World Cup 2019. So, just before we get to see the final Gayle-storm in action, let's have a look at some of his finest innings witnessed by the world: 1. Gayle's Maiden Century (Kenya) © Reuters Soon after making an impact in Test cricket, Gayle slammed his maiden ODI century against Kenya on their home soil, in Nairobi. Despite being a little late to the party, he made his mark by touching the score of 152 in his first ever ODI ton. This humongous score consisted of 17 fours and a single six. With time, we saw the proportion of his runs shifting towards the big hits instead of fours and singles. 2. Gayle-Storm In Ahmedabad (India) © Reuters The year 2001, was just the beginning of the many earthquakes by the big man. A year after his thundering performance in Kenya, he started bashing any team which came in his way. He went on to score 3 consecutive tons against the Indians when the Windies toured India in 2002. Out of all those tons, the best one came in Ahmedabad where he shattered the bowling line up of India, consisting of Harbhajan Singh, Ashish Nehra and Ajit Agarkar. Though the West Indies couldn't win that match, the splendid performance by the Chris Gayle helped them seal the series by 4-3 in their favour. 3. Gayle's Show In Johannesburg (South Africa) © Reuters Yet another showdown by the big guy came in 2004 against South Africa in Johannesburg, where he managed to put up the same score as of his first ODI ton, 152. But this time, there was an upgrade as he was unbeaten on that score. But just like before, his ton couldn't help the Indies line-up win the match. In response, the 139 by Jacque Kallis made it easier for South Africa to surpass the total of 304 with two balls still to go. 4. Gayle's Display Against The Kiwis © Reuters Another scorching century against New Zealand in 2012, took Gayle to his 20th One Day International tons. Here, being at home, he posted 125 runs of his own in the total of 315, hitting nine sixes and eight boundaries. After a long time, his century proved to be of worth to his team, as the West Indies resulted in winning the match by 55 runs. 5. Gayle-Storm In The World Cup 2015 (Australia-New Zealand) © Reuters In a World Cup match against Zimbabwe, it seemed like Christopher Henry Gayle held a placard, a cliche one but very true: 'Form is temporary, class is permanent.' The six-hitting machine manufactured in Jamaica went into overdrive, answering the critics who questioned its efficacy - in record-breaking style. Blasting a herculean score of 215 in mere 179 balls, Gayle took the team total up to 372 in 50 overs. His 215, was peppered with a whopping 16 sixes and 10 boundaries. With these being one of the best performances by the Caribbean 'Big-Dog', let's hope he ends his ODI career on a high by delivering yet another blistering knock in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2019.
  21. Ranveer Singh is one of the most eminent personalities of Bollywood. The man has an almost unbelievable hit-to-flop ratio and is married to one of the most beautiful and successful actresses in the country. It's practically impossible to dislike him (although, as a guy, you could feel a tad bit jealous sometimes), simply on account of how grounded, and funny he is. But the one thing that sets him apart from all his contemporaries is his asli-pan ('Gully Boy' reference, guys, catch up). He is real, he is raw, he is bahut hard, and that's the sort of attitude Ranveer Singh exudes. Here are all the times he has proved that we need to be more like him, which is more real, more asli: 1. Display of Affection Pinterest Whether it's a public display of affection or private, Ranveer has shown time and again that he is not afraid to express his love for his wife, Deepika Padukone. From coming down on the media for being unreasonable in reporting her life to flying to LA to be with her on her birthday amid tight filming schedules, he has done it all. 2. Fashion Style Pinterest If there's one guy in Bollywood who wears whatever he wants to without giving two hoots of what others think of him, it's Ranveer. Every time he has worn an outlandish piece of clothing, he has managed to set not just fashion goals, but also major confidence goals. Dare to be like him? 3. Trying Out New Things Pinterest If you've followed Ranveer's career, you will see the versatility in his choice of work. From playing a chocolate boy in 'Band Baaja Baarat' to a con man in 'Ladies vs Ricky Bahl', from a soft-spoken poet in 'Lootera' to the animalistic Khilji in 'Padmaavat', he has done it all! We need to emulate this urge of trying new things in life ourselves. Because what's life without experiments? BORING, that's what it is. 4. Being Humble Pinterest Ranveer Singh is a superstar. He is a brand in himself and yet when you see him talk to people, you realise how grounded he is. He actually catches up with the paparazzi instead of shunning them away, as most celebs do. And you know it's real when you see it. 5. Excitement Over (The Best) Little Things In Life Did you know that KFC has launched a bunless burger in India? Now, that's a juicy piece of news has got me super excited and turns out, Ranveer is psyched about it too. His unapologetic excitement on finding out about the Double Down burger is absolutely contagious. And understandably too, I mean, KFC is taking the crispiness (and chicken-ness!) of their burgers a notch higher by completely removing the bun. Have a look: Well, Ranveer surely knows that one's love for tasty chicken is forever and nothing, absolutely nothing, should get in the way; not even the bun!
  22. After what is considered to be one of the greatest comebacks in cricket, Hardik Pandya is here, making a statement and hungry for runs and wickets as he returns from a lower-back injury which he suffered in September 2018 and a suspension for the notorious comments he made on the popular talk show 'Koffee with Karan'. In a heroic return against Kane Williamson's New Zealand in the third ODI, Pandya displayed his greatness as a fielder when he evoked his inner Superman to take Williamson's catch at the mid-on to send the skipper back to the locker room. Pandya also proved his brilliance as a bowler against the Kiwis as he scalped two wickets in the third and fifth match while having a moderate economy rate in the fourth. Finally, the allrounder let the elite batsman in him take over when he wreaked havoc all over the New Zealand bowlers including the in-form pacer Trent Boult, as he thrashed their deliveries left and right to go out of the field and into the stands. However, Pandya's highlight came in the 47th over when he drubbed leg-spinner Todd Astle for three consecutive maximums all around Westpac Stadium. Make no mistake, this isn't the first time Pandya has gone 6-6-6 against the bowlers to become the Devil of their dreams. Here are the five times Hardik Pandya hit a hat-trick of sixes in his career: 1. Vs Pakistan - ICC Champions Trophy 2017 (Group Stage) After Yuvraj Singh was called out for an LBW appeal by Hasan Ali, Pandya entered the field to play alongside skipper Virat Kohli and when Pak captain Sarfraz Ahmed chose left-arm spinner Imad Wasim to deliver against Pandya, he knew this one could be big. 2. Vs Pakistan - ICC Champions Trophy 2017 (Final) This time against Pakistan, Pandya reached the pitch in crisis with six wickets falling before the score of 80 for India. In a failed attempt to bring home the Champions trophy, Pandya humbled Pak leg-spinner Shadab Khan with three straight sixes in the 19th over. This performance also led to Pandya making the fastest half-century in a world ODI final. 3. Vs Sri Lanka - Test Series 2017 (3rd Test) In the third of the three-Test series against Sri Lanka, Pandya decided to play the longest format of the game in a hurry and welcome debutant Sri Lankan bowler Malinda Pushpakumara in a grand gesture. Starting the over with back-to-back 4s, the batsman determined to step it up a little with three consecutive sixes after that, while finally ending the over with a dot, making it the most number of runs scored by an Indian in an over. Vs Australia - ODI Series 2017 (1st ODI) Sending Aussie spinner Adam Zampa for three sixes one after another earned Pandya the name of 'Excitement Machine' by Cricket Australia during the first ODI at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Pandya's 83-run innings helped India win the match by 26 runs (DLS method). 5. Vs New Zealand - ODI Series 2019 (5th ODI) And finally, Pandya made a return to his batting ways with a bang against Kane Williamson and the rest of the Kiwis, as he absolutely ripped apart Todd Astle's bowling going 6-6-6 in the 47th over to help Kohli's Indian cricket team win the series 4-1.
  23. If someday, the important people at the International Cricket Council (ICC) do decide to name the Decision Review System (DRS) after a player, Mahendra Singh Dhoni's name would be the number one recommendation on their list. Ever since the concept of challenging the umpire's call was actualised in cricket, MS Dhoni has used it to the greatest advantage of whatever team he has played for, be it the Indian cricket team or the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Here are the top 5 moments where Dhoni proved his genius: 1. LBW Call Against Pakistan's Imam-ul-Haq - Asia Cup 2018 (23/09/2018) During the Asia Cup 2018 Super Four matchup between India and Pakistan, when spinner Yuzvendra Chahal tricked Pakistani opener Imam-ul-Haq for a leg-before, the umpire seemed uninterested in the bowler's appeal. Dhoni instantly nodded at the then captain Rohit Sharma for a review to which Sharma instantly agreed. pic.twitter.com/47H8ktlOPf — CricBoll (@mycricboll) September 23, 2018 As the third umpire took a closer look, it was evident that the ball was pitched in-line, made an impact in-line and was, in fact, hitting the wickets. The next thing you know is the umpire reversing his decision and raising his finger in favour of the keeper's call. 2. Challenging LBW Call Against England - 3rd ODI At Headingley Stadium, Leeds (17/07/2018) After losing the toss, Virat Kohli's side was forced to bat first. With the half of the team wrapped up at 158 runs, it was Dhoni's turn to take the crease. After spinner Adil Rashid sent the skipper and Suresh Raina packing in the 31st over, it was Moeen Ali's turn to shock Dhoni with a beauty in the 32nd for an LBW appeal. As soon as the umpire agreed to Ali's call, Dhoni went for the DRS. The same crowd cheered after DRS(Dhoni review system), who had jeered him at Lord's. Finisher in need is DHONI indeed.#HypocriticalLove #INDvENG pic.twitter.com/9HoVBaBqMI — The Accidental Journalist (@joBless_God) July 17, 2018 While the ball was pitched at the right place and landed in-line too, the genius of Dhoni quickly led him to calculate that it has bounced too high and would miss the stumps by a lot. And that was exactly what had happened. 3. Eoin Morgan's Caught Behind Vs England - 1st ODI At MCA Stadium, Pune (15/01/2017) After winning the toss, India decided to bowl first and thanks for some brilliant performances by Englishmen Joe Root, Jason Roy and Ben Stokes, England was able to establish a huge total of 350 runs. Believe it or not, it could have been worse if MS Dhoni had not called for a review on this catch on a Hardik Pandya delivery against the skipper Eoin Morgan. MS Dhoni gets the DRS call Bang on! https://t.co/b181Dg9xp0 — Aditya Pandey (@adityapandey148) January 24, 2019 While on Pandya's appeal after Dhoni's excellent catch, the umpire immediately said “no”, Dhoni was certain that Morgan had to go. As soon as the keeper called for a review, Kohli obliged and the review went upstairs. With audio-inspection and slow motion, the third umpire was finally able to see what Dhoni saw with his naked eyes asked Morgan to go back to the locker room. 4. Saving Yuvraj Singh Vs England At Barabati Stadium, Cuttack (19/01/2017) One of the best Indian partnerships could have been missed out on if it wasn't for Dhoni's supernatural vision. During the second ODI match between India and England early in 2017, Yuvraj Singh was asked to go on a caught behind decision by the umpire. Everyone on the field, including Yuvraj Singh himself, believed that he was out but Dhoni asked for a review even before the umpire made up his mind in favour of the bowler. Decision Review System or Dhoni review system? https://t.co/hy8A2YXCgF — Aditya Pandey (@adityapandey148) January 24, 2019 Upon checking out the footage in slow motion, it was seen that after the ball touch Singh's bat, it went on to bounce once before keeper Jos Buttler caught it. Once the umpire reversed his decision, Singh went on to score 150 while Dhoni scored 134. 5. Chris Lynn's Catch At Slip - CSK Vs KKR at Eden Gardens, Kolkata (03/05/2018) In the first over the innings, when Lungi Ngidi appealed for KKR opener Chris Lynn's catch at slip, the umpire believed that the ball had only touched the pad and Lynn was therefore not out. More or less, everyone was convinced with the decision, everyone but Dhoni, who decided to go for it nonetheless. Dhoni review system on point https://t.co/HtWejye8HB via @ipl — Aditya Pandey (@adityapandey148) January 24, 2019 The bat had just scratched the surface of the ball with an almost inaudible nick which somehow Dhoni heard. Call it sixth-sense of good luck, but what is evident is that no one is better than Dhoni when it comes to following their instinct which has often led to his reviews being on point.

  25. Vikrant Massey is one of those people who didn't taste success by receiving it on a platter. He had to prove himself again and again with a number of roles in shows like 'Balika Vadhu' and 'Qubool Hai', and later with solid performances in movies, that started off with his appearance in 'Lootera'. After 'A Death In The Gunj', and his current role in 'Mirzapur', it has been established that the lad knows his craft better than most of the big names in the industry. Even though acting is the crown jewel in Vikrant's list of achievements, his style game is no less. Let's focus on 8 instances when he proved it: 1. When In Doubt, Always Go For A Denim Jacket.
