  1. After what is considered to be one of the greatest comebacks in cricket, Hardik Pandya is here, making a statement and hungry for runs and wickets as he returns from a lower-back injury which he suffered in September 2018 and a suspension for the notorious comments he made on the popular talk show 'Koffee with Karan'. In a heroic return against Kane Williamson's New Zealand in the third ODI, Pandya displayed his greatness as a fielder when he evoked his inner Superman to take Williamson's catch at the mid-on to send the skipper back to the locker room. Pandya also proved his brilliance as a bowler against the Kiwis as he scalped two wickets in the third and fifth match while having a moderate economy rate in the fourth. Finally, the allrounder let the elite batsman in him take over when he wreaked havoc all over the New Zealand bowlers including the in-form pacer Trent Boult, as he thrashed their deliveries left and right to go out of the field and into the stands. However, Pandya's highlight came in the 47th over when he drubbed leg-spinner Todd Astle for three consecutive maximums all around Westpac Stadium. Make no mistake, this isn't the first time Pandya has gone 6-6-6 against the bowlers to become the Devil of their dreams. Here are the five times Hardik Pandya hit a hat-trick of sixes in his career: 1. Vs Pakistan - ICC Champions Trophy 2017 (Group Stage) After Yuvraj Singh was called out for an LBW appeal by Hasan Ali, Pandya entered the field to play alongside skipper Virat Kohli and when Pak captain Sarfraz Ahmed chose left-arm spinner Imad Wasim to deliver against Pandya, he knew this one could be big. 2. Vs Pakistan - ICC Champions Trophy 2017 (Final) This time against Pakistan, Pandya reached the pitch in crisis with six wickets falling before the score of 80 for India. In a failed attempt to bring home the Champions trophy, Pandya humbled Pak leg-spinner Shadab Khan with three straight sixes in the 19th over. This performance also led to Pandya making the fastest half-century in a world ODI final. 3. Vs Sri Lanka - Test Series 2017 (3rd Test) In the third of the three-Test series against Sri Lanka, Pandya decided to play the longest format of the game in a hurry and welcome debutant Sri Lankan bowler Malinda Pushpakumara in a grand gesture. Starting the over with back-to-back 4s, the batsman determined to step it up a little with three consecutive sixes after that, while finally ending the over with a dot, making it the most number of runs scored by an Indian in an over. Pushpakumara to Pandya, 26 runs from the over! pic.twitter.com/QeOgWxBvd6 — Cricking (@CricKingApp) August 13, 2017 4. Vs Australia - ODI Series 2017 (1st ODI) Sending Aussie spinner Adam Zampa for three sixes one after another earned Pandya the name of 'Excitement Machine' by Cricket Australia during the first ODI at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Pandya's 83-run innings helped India win the match by 26 runs (DLS method). 5. Vs New Zealand - ODI Series 2019 (5th ODI) And finally, Pandya made a return to his batting ways with a bang against Kane Williamson and the rest of the Kiwis, as he absolutely ripped apart Todd Astle's bowling going 6-6-6 in the 47th over to help Kohli's Indian cricket team win the series 4-1.
  2. If someday, the important people at the International Cricket Council (ICC) do decide to name the Decision Review System (DRS) after a player, Mahendra Singh Dhoni's name would be the number one recommendation on their list. Ever since the concept of challenging the umpire's call was actualised in cricket, MS Dhoni has used it to the greatest advantage of whatever team he has played for, be it the Indian cricket team or the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Here are the top 5 moments where Dhoni proved his genius: 1. LBW Call Against Pakistan's Imam-ul-Haq - Asia Cup 2018 (23/09/2018) During the Asia Cup 2018 Super Four matchup between India and Pakistan, when spinner Yuzvendra Chahal tricked Pakistani opener Imam-ul-Haq for a leg-before, the umpire seemed uninterested in the bowler's appeal. Dhoni instantly nodded at the then captain Rohit Sharma for a review to which Sharma instantly agreed. pic.twitter.com/47H8ktlOPf — CricBoll (@mycricboll) September 23, 2018 As the third umpire took a closer look, it was evident that the ball was pitched in-line, made an impact in-line and was, in fact, hitting the wickets. The next thing you know is the umpire reversing his decision and raising his finger in favour of the keeper's call. 2. Challenging LBW Call Against England - 3rd ODI At Headingley Stadium, Leeds (17/07/2018) After losing the toss, Virat Kohli's side was forced to bat first. With the half of the team wrapped up at 158 runs, it was Dhoni's turn to take the crease. After spinner Adil Rashid sent the skipper and Suresh Raina packing in the 31st over, it was Moeen Ali's turn to shock Dhoni with a beauty in the 32nd for an LBW appeal. As soon as the umpire agreed to Ali's call, Dhoni went for the DRS. The same crowd cheered after DRS(Dhoni review system), who had jeered him at Lord's. Finisher in need is DHONI indeed.#HypocriticalLove #INDvENG pic.twitter.com/9HoVBaBqMI — The Accidental Journalist (@joBless_God) July 17, 2018 While the ball was pitched at the right place and landed in-line too, the genius of Dhoni quickly led him to calculate that it has bounced too high and would miss the stumps by a lot. And that was exactly what had happened. 3. Eoin Morgan's Caught Behind Vs England - 1st ODI At MCA Stadium, Pune (15/01/2017) After winning the toss, India decided to bowl first and thanks for some brilliant performances by Englishmen Joe Root, Jason Roy and Ben Stokes, England was able to establish a huge total of 350 runs. Believe it or not, it could have been worse if MS Dhoni had not called for a review on this catch on a Hardik Pandya delivery against the skipper Eoin Morgan. MS Dhoni gets the DRS call Bang on! https://t.co/b181Dg9xp0 — Aditya Pandey (@adityapandey148) January 24, 2019 While on Pandya's appeal after Dhoni's excellent catch, the umpire immediately said “no”, Dhoni was certain that Morgan had to go. As soon as the keeper called for a review, Kohli obliged and the review went upstairs. With audio-inspection and slow motion, the third umpire was finally able to see what Dhoni saw with his naked eyes asked Morgan to go back to the locker room. 4. Saving Yuvraj Singh Vs England At Barabati Stadium, Cuttack (19/01/2017) One of the best Indian partnerships could have been missed out on if it wasn't for Dhoni's supernatural vision. During the second ODI match between India and England early in 2017, Yuvraj Singh was asked to go on a caught behind decision by the umpire. Everyone on the field, including Yuvraj Singh himself, believed that he was out but Dhoni asked for a review even before the umpire made up his mind in favour of the bowler. Decision Review System or Dhoni review system? https://t.co/hy8A2YXCgF — Aditya Pandey (@adityapandey148) January 24, 2019 Upon checking out the footage in slow motion, it was seen that after the ball touch Singh's bat, it went on to bounce once before keeper Jos Buttler caught it. Once the umpire reversed his decision, Singh went on to score 150 while Dhoni scored 134. 5. Chris Lynn's Catch At Slip - CSK Vs KKR at Eden Gardens, Kolkata (03/05/2018) In the first over the innings, when Lungi Ngidi appealed for KKR opener Chris Lynn's catch at slip, the umpire believed that the ball had only touched the pad and Lynn was therefore not out. More or less, everyone was convinced with the decision, everyone but Dhoni, who decided to go for it nonetheless. Dhoni review system on point https://t.co/HtWejye8HB via @ipl — Aditya Pandey (@adityapandey148) January 24, 2019 The bat had just scratched the surface of the ball with an almost inaudible nick which somehow Dhoni heard. Call it sixth-sense of good luck, but what is evident is that no one is better than Dhoni when it comes to following their instinct which has often led to his reviews being on point.
  3. After thoroughly studying his wardrobe and style game over the years, we have concluded that Chris Hemsworth, apart from being the God of Thunder in reel life, is also the God of Fashion in real life. Be it suits, or simple T-shirts, or layered outfits, the man knows how to carry off everything with the effortless elegance of a professional model. Here are 10 pictures that support our claim. 1. 4. Vikrant Massey is one of those people who didn't taste success by receiving it on a platter. He had to prove himself again and again with a number of roles in shows like 'Balika Vadhu' and 'Qubool Hai', and later with solid performances in movies, that started off with his appearance in 'Lootera'. After 'A Death In The Gunj', and his current role in 'Mirzapur', it has been established that the lad knows his craft better than most of the big names in the industry. Even though acting is the crown jewel in Vikrant's list of achievements, his style game is no less. Let's focus on 8 instances when he proved it: 1. When In Doubt, Always Go For A Denim Jacket. 5. No offence, but desi Twitter (and not brown twitter, T-Pain) is where it's at! Indian people really do know how to make a joke or a meme out of anything and everything and every year we realize it after laughing throughout the year at the best tweets and then re-living it at the end of the year with a mandatory compilation so everyone can end their year with a laugh. So, here are this year's winners, the tweets that are so funny, you will momentarily forget about the shitty year. Enjoy! 1. A fake accent they acquired just in a week. 6. 2018, most of you will agree, was the year of Vicky Kaushal. Well, Ayushmann gave him a run for his money in terms of Box-office success, but let's face it, Vicky ruled hearts. That had to do with his overall charisma as well his super stylish fashion game. The tall, dark, and handsome lad rose to the collective consciousness of every fashion-forward entity, and served super savage 'lewks' every time he stepped out without even having to try. The best bit? He made the guy next door aesthetic look extremely desirable. Here are 10 instances of Vicky Kaushal's effortlessly aesthetic fashion game. 1. Denim will always have your back. 7. 2018 has been a year that has been special in more ways than we can count. Section 377 was struck down, and a much-awaited social change took place in the nation that was long overdue. It was reflected in the fashion canvas as well, throughout all the fashion weeks that took place during the year. Inclusivity was one of the main themes, when it comes to overall fashion sensibility. With that being the backdrop, we have listed out 6 fashion moments from the year during which men embraced gender non-conforming fashion, and rocked it like it's no one's business. Take a look. 1. 8. Do you struggle to manage your fitness goals (bulking or fat loss) and college simultaneously? Do you have to take off from the gym for days or weeks during exams? Pretty sure most of you just nodded your heads to the above questions, which is why today I am going to tell you the best way to manage a fitness routine during your exams. Before we get to the solution, let's first focus on a few reasons that make us deviate from our fitness routine during exams: 1. Lack Of Preparation/ Last Minute Study We all are guilty of this, aren't we? Chilling during the entire semester and starting to prepare for our exams as the deadline arises. 2. Increase In Stress Levels BOOM! As the exam approaches, we get more anxious, stressed and worried which results in a significant imbalance in our eating habits. 3. Poor Sleeping Patterns Late night study routine? Poor sleep = poor workouts & poor eating habits. 4. Our Environment This is a rare occurence but happens to many people I have coached along the years. People around us can increase or decrease the perception of pressure on us and it can have a significant impact on us adhering to our fitness routine. Eg: "Study" "Focus on exams now" "Keep everything else aside for this period." (Incomplete advice) 5. Priority Some people like to give out their maximum during exams, even if that maximum produces a 1-2% increase in CGPA or percentage. However, that is up to you and we certainly do not mean that going gym during exams is an absolute necessity. Despite what the circumstances are, at the end of exams most dudes are going to end up saying: “aaah I missed the gym for no reason” Below are a few tips which will allow you to train even during exams days: 1. Training © Thinkstock Images If your exam is a one-day exam (like an entrance test) then it would be harmless for you to take a couple of weeks off before the exam as a way to de-load. You can also do minimal training i.e. two full-body workout a week when possible. Studies have shown that short breaks of 1-2 weeks will not have a major impact on your fitness levels but can help you psychologically come back with more motivation and focus. If you are an engineering or medical student, who has month-long exams, then 3 full body workouts per week are optimal to conserve your strength and muscle mass. The intensity of your training can be reduced during the exam time depending upon your sleep levels from the previous day. If you are feeling of stressed and fatigued due to studying, then there is no use of trying to attempt a 5 rep max. Instead, train with 3-4 reps in your reserve. To get workouts done faster, you can superset exercises of the opposing muscle groups such as Quads & Hamstrings, Biceps & Triceps, Chest and Middle Back, Lats & Shoulders. Keep your rest period between 1-3 minutes at the most. Focus on doing the exercises which give you the most bang for the buck. Eg: Squats, Deadlifts, Bench press, Barbell Rows and Shoulder press which will target multiple muscle groups instead of focussing on isolating individual muscles Incorporate small 10 min walks whenever possible to keep your mood flowing and feeling fresh. Engage in 5-10 mins of deep breathing with your eyes closed. There is no specific pattern for inhaling and exhale, just whatever you decide, keep it same for the entire period. 2. Nutrition © Thinkstock Images Focus on preparing your meals in advance and storing them whenever you get free time to avoid loss of focus and energy preparing the food between studying Bulking? Create high-calorie smoothies with oats, banana, whey protein & nut butter to get the calories you require. Personally, I would suggest that you increase your calories during the exam phase to help manage stress and to feel better in general. Being in a caloric deficit, which is a state of stress for the body, coupled with an exam, which is additional stress, can have a negative effect on your body. © Pixabay Summing everything up: Get in the training room whenever possible, plan your meals in advance, add in small walks, meditation sessions and adjust your routine such that you can adhere to it easily and stay focused. 9. Ishaan Khatter made an impressive entry with 'Dhadak', and even though the movie couldn't keep up with its original Marathi version, everyone was convinced about Ishaan's acting prowess. Ever since his entry, it was expected that he would be compared with his big brother Shahid Kapoor, and let's just say he was. However, acting was not the only area where the young lad made his bro proud. When it comes to fashion, he proved that he is as gutsy and comfortable in his choices as Shahid, and here are 4 instances where we saw that. 1. 10. Karan Johar - better known as KJo in the Hindi film industry, is a director, producer, talk show host and author, besides many other diverse roles he can pull off in one lifetime alone. Known as the director-godfather for all the star kids in B-town, KJo's movies epitomise melodrama, dhinchak music and grooves, with a touch of sentimentality that can be rather overbearing, if left unchecked. Yet, regardless of the man's skewed sense of humour and an ever-charming sense of fashion that's right out there and vibrant, Karan Johar does a mighty fine job at being his unapologetic self when it comes to wearing his heart on his sleeves and tossing his opinions around like confetti. We picked out 5 such pearls of wisdom that KJo has shared with us over the time, and you have to believe us when we say that no matter what you would like to believe otherwise, these statements, which range across the hard realities of love, life and other better things in life, will leave you agreeing with this man like never before. © MensXP We cannot have enough people telling us this, given the advent of a full-fledged “online” life that people have come to build and aspire for constantly. But even otherwise, that's something all of us can go back to remembering from time to time, instead of beating ourselves up over little things. © MensXP This is more than true, for all of us. You would be lying to yourself if you say it's otherwise. Happiness is transient, we all know it, and yet when we have it we often forget to appreciate and enjoy the moment for longer than we do. © MensXP As much as the reality might be difficult to digest, trust Karan to give it to you as it is. The world has learnt to hate and judge first, before accepting and celebrating the love that's so innate to mankind. © MensXP Well, how many of us are going to challenge this? Not many we suppose. Because this is so true, that no challenges could ever stand in its way. © MensXP Well, you have it. There isn't much we'd want to add to this piece of gem right here.
  11. Of late, every time a celebrity gets married, one thing that the whole nation looks forward to is the parody video by comedian Bhuvan Bam. BB Ki Vines anyway has a huge viewership (Bhuvan became the first Indian Youtuber to have 10 million subscribers in 2018), and add to that his ever evolving treatment of humour, that gives a rib-tickling desi twist to posh celebrity weddings, Bhuvan is perhaps the biggest comedian in the country right now. Amidst all the laughter, however, one thing that most of his fans don't quite notice is his other avatar - that of a fashion-forward, uber stylish man. We, however, did. Don't believe us? 12. Bollywood is famous across the globe for its legendary bevy of actors and directors, their calibre and the kind of stories they can create to entertain masses, while also delivering some really good messages through their work. However, if we look beyond the commercial appeal, the unnecessary glitz and running around trees, Bollywood also has some really cool stuff to offer. Transformative looks are one such thing and we, as an audience, like to appreciate such well done jobs, whenever we see it. So here are our top 12 picks of the greatest transformations looks in Bollywood in recent times: 1. Aamir Khan Sure enough, we had to begin with Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood. Aamir sure has a lot of 'hits' under his belt but some of his very prominent transformations till date would include titles like 'Ghajini', 'PK', 'Dangal' and more recently, as Firangi in 'Thugs Of Hindostan' besides many other superior characters he has portrayed. © Geetha Arts © Aamir Khan Productions © Yash Raj Films 2. Randeep Hooda Now again, Randeep Hooda has proved to the audience that he is an actor of great potential. From Imtiaz Ali's 'Highway' to Omung Kumar's 'Sarbjit', Randeep left a lasting impact in our minds. However, his transformation in the latter film was so true to life, it's commendable! © Pooja Entertainment © Pooja Entertainment 3. Shah Rukh Khan King Khan remains a ubiquitous personality in the Hindi film industry. A truly versatile actor, SRK has also tried his hands on transforming himself for specific roles. No one can forget the 'Dard-E-Disco' song from 'Om Shanti Om' that reveal his glazed six-packs, or 'Happy New Year' wherein he went a step further. SRK's portrayal of Gaurav in 'Fan' was superb too besides the uncanny resemblance! © Red Chillies Entertainment © Red Chillies Entertainemnt © Yash Raj Films 4. Farhan Akhtar An all-rounder in the industry, Farhan also happens to be a great actor apart from being a director, singer, screenwriter and what not! However, his depiction of Milkha Singh in 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' helped him make his own niche as an actor in the industry. He completely transformed himself to get into the role. © ROMP Pictures © ROMP Pictures 5. Rajkummar Rao Another rising star of Bollywood, who has been constantly treating us to quality films over the last few years, Rajkummar has done a commendable job in films like 'Newton', 'Trapped' and shows like 'Bose: Dead Or Alive'. However, Rao's transformation in 'Trapped' and more specifically in 'Raabta' as a 324-year-old man was terrific! © Phantom Films © Maddock Films © Maddock Films 6. Hrithik Roshan Hrithik Roshan also has a few competitive looks under his belt, but when we talk about transformations per se, one cannot ignore the good work that was done on the actor in 'Dhoom 2'. © Yash Raj Films © Yash Raj Films 7. Ranbir Kapoor One of the best transformations of recent time, Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt and the transformation over the years has been one of the most memorable journeys to trace. Ranbir's looks were so close to reality, one could only marvel at the resemblances and the acting. © Rajkumar Hirani Films © Rajkumar Hirani Films © Rajkumar Hirani Films 8. Amitabh Bachchan Of course, BigB gave us the most awesome transformation back in 2009 when 'Paa' released. BigB's transformation into a 12-year-old boy with progeria was well-created, but more recently, '102 Not Out' also did a very fine job at it. Dattatreya, as a 102-year-old man, looked very realistic, to say the least. © MAD Entertainment Ltd © SPE Films 9. Akshay Kumar Though the movie is yet to release, '2.0' will soon allow Akshay Kumar to officially join the list of incredible transformations. But with the trailer already out, we can see for ourselves the cool transformation he has undergone for his role in the upcoming film. © Lyca Productions © Lyca Productions 10. Rishi Kapoor Just as the man maintains his wit, it is nice to see another veteran actor join the list. Rishi Kapoor as 92-year-old Amarjeet in 'Kapoor & Sons' was almost unrecognisable. Fans had some really good stuff to say about his look in the movie too. © Dharma Productions © Dharma Productions 11. Emraan Hashmi Though we aren't sure how many of you are aware of it, Emraan Hashmi apparently did a movie called 'Mr. X' in 2015 in which he sported a rather “different” look. Looks good enough to be put on the list, no? © Vishesh Films © Vishesh Films 12. Saif Ali Khan Saif Ali Khan's upcoming movie 'Hunter' will present the actor as a naga sadhu, and some time back a leaked image from the set of the movie began doing rounds on social media. The look sure looks promising, and somehow does a good job of reminding us of Jack Sparrow. © Filmfare Weren't these transformations really cool to look at? Did we miss any that you personally enjoyed? Let us know!
  13. The rumours of rap hero Drake dating Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty have been doing the rounds for quite a while now. He has been following her on Instagram for a while now and never shies away from commenting on her pictures as well. When his super hit 'Kiki Do You Love Me' became a chart buster, it was also hinted by many that maybe Athiya was his 'Kiki'. So while there has been no pictures of the two secretly meeting anywhere or any proof of them dating, the 'Passionfruit' singer made his affection for her quite clear when she recently celebrated her 26th birthday. Drake might be miles away but his gift for Athiya was special beyond any materialistic gestures. He claimed that he watched her recent movie 'Mubarakan'3 times on tour for her birthday!. View this post on Instagram This one was extra special and happy indeed. Thank you for all the love, wishes, and blessings. I truly feel so tremendously grateful and special. â¨ðð±ððð¼ ð¦ To my main people, I love you. You know who you are. PS: 26, be kind ð¤ð»ð¬ A post shared by Athiya Shetty (@athiyashetty) on Nov 5, 2018 at 7:47am PST Even if they ain't dating, isn't that too kind of him? 'Mubarakan' didn't fare too well at the box office but was still a family entertainer movie. Even though this should be a better gift for Arjun Kapoor since he was the lead, it still counts as a wonderful gesture, even if he is just a friend. Well, let's hope if something brews between them, we get to hear from Drake in his next album maybe?
  14. PewDiePie loves India, oh wait, I mean he loves to troll India and Indians. He's the biggest YouTuber in the world with over 67 million subscribers, and it seems like he loves to introduce his huge audience to so many hidden Indian memes and TV shows. Most of us might not have even seen the kids show 'Motu Patlu', but a Swedish guy has. What a world we are living in! Last year he reacted (read: roasted) the kids' cartoon 'Motu Patlu' and yeah, it does sound quite weird, but it's totally on-brand for Pewds. Then, he just moved on to singing the theme song of 'Chhota Bheem'. Wow, I never thought the weird part of the internet would be this weird. The most Indian thing ever, the first phrase that foreigners associate with India - 'show bobs and vagene'. Obviously, PewDiePie has a video with that title. Now, all these videos were still a little old, the main Indian connection for PewDiePie happened just a couple of months ago. It all started with a now-deleted tweet. He basically tweeted a screenshot of a very low-quality YouTube video of Balaji Telefilms show 'Kasamh Se'. This was quite harmless, but no, Ekta Kapoor did not think so. Bhai tu kaun hai! Luks like d firang junior artists we hire from colaba when we Create Paris in arey:) he will find his dopplegangers in kasam se only;) https://t.co/miESFOiFrO — Ekta Kapoor (@ektaravikapoor) May 11, 2018 We all remember the infamous one-sided Twitter war between Ekta Kapoor and PewDiePie, it was the most unexpected and hilarious thing to have happened this year. He got to know about how Ekta Kapoor was trying to pick a fight with him on Twitter, so he did what he does best – roasted her TV shows – and India, in general – even more, of course. Here's the entire detailed PewDiePie vs Ekta Kapoor fight, if you're interested. And, now the last video he has posted related to India is literally titled 'Jai Hind/I'm Half Indian'. He knows how to keep his Indian fan base entertained and moreover, he talks about how T-Series is about to overtake his own channel. Happy Birthday, Pewds! Keep roasting us, we all do enjoy it a lot.
  15. "The #MeToo controversy has at least made men more conscious of their behaviour & women of their rights," said Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor in a series of tweets, as the #MeToo movement continues to gain momentum in India. What started as an allegation by Tanushree Dutta against Nana Patekar, has now turned into a raging movement, which has left the whole nation fuming with anger as more names continue to pop up every day. © Twitter On days when he is not busy giving social media tongue-twister words like 'floccinaucinihilipilification', he is busy giving his opinion on hot, relevant issues, and this thread is one such example. Reacting to the ongoing movement, Tharoor on Sunday, posted a series of tweets in support of all the women who are coming forward with their stories. He wrote, "The #MeToo issue is about more than creepy sexual behaviour; it's about exploiting a power differential -- producers/directors>actors, editors>reporters, bosses>employees. Victims were told "not to make it an issue" in order to preserve their careers & reputations. Monstrous." Sadly, with each passing day, this list only continues to grow.
  16. The megastar aka the living legend of Bollywood turned 76 today, and if you couldn't manage to queue up in front of Jalsa to wish him on his birthday, I am guessing most of you would have wished him on social media already. Amitabh Bachchan is the undisputed and unconquered king of Bollywood, but what makes him special are his unique fans, who go to extreme lengths to prove their love for him. Big B has a crazy fanbase both numerically and literally and even if you don't trust my words, these instances will make you believe that it's true: 1. A Truck Full Of Samosas © Instagram In 1982, when Amitabh Bachchan got fatally injured on the sets of 'Coolie', a samosa vendor prayed for his speedy recovery. After he was discharged from the hospital and was doing fine, the vendor sent a truck full of samosas to the actor's residence. He asked him to touch the truck once, so that he could distribute the samosas as prasad to his fans. 2. A Temple In Kolkata © Instagram Amitabh Bachchan is undoubtedly a living legend in Bollywood, a megastar who is not only loved but worshipped by his fans. But, in Kolkata, he has an actual temple built in his name. It is also said that the fans managed to get their hands on the same shoes he wore in 'Agneepath' and placed them on the very chair he sat on in 'Aks'. The temple walls have 'Jai Shri Amitabh' written on it and people sing a customised aarti for him. 3. Stalked Jalsa & Threatened To Commit Suicide © Instagram A female fan once threatened to commit suicide outside Bachchan's house, when the guards and the police didn't let her meet him. She also wanted to be employed in Jalsa, so that she could stay under the same roof as him. 4. A 100 Year-Old-Fan © Twitter There was a time when Big B's 100-year-old fan forgot everyone, even her family members and wouldn't even eat. However, she was motivated to eat when she was told that Bachchan will meet her. T 1126 -Bernadine D'Souza a fan who turns 100 years on 18th !!!! 18. When it comes to being a Casanova, most of you would name Barney Stinson from 'How I Met Your Mother', while some of you would name Joey Tribbiani from 'Friends'. But there was a man who did it all with barely any effort and knew how to use his strengths. Charlie Harper from 'Two and a Half Men! The Man, the legend, the myth! We can't completely call it a fictional character, as Charlie Sheen, who played Charlie Harper, was not that different from his on-screen avatar in real life. Perhaps that's why he just nailed the role. ***, booze, drugs, and gambling are the character's hobby. In a world which is full of competition, Charlie picked up girls better than the guys in deodorant advertisements. Let's see what we can learn from him: 1. Live Like There's No Tomorrow © Warner Bros. If one thing Charlie knew apart from picking up women was how to party. The man drank like a fish and had a life with no regrets. Be it women, pot, cigars, drinks, he did it all with an open heart. But he never let it affect his work. The man knew the importance of money and always managed to make it in abundance. The lesson here is, live like there's no tomorrow but earn like you might live for a hundred years. 2. Use Your Assets Wisely © Warner Bros. Women find kids adorable and Charlie certainly knew it. The man used his nephew to pick up women countless times. Be it in a grocery store or convincing him to take belly dancing lessons, just so he could have a date with the instructor, he didn't miss one single chance. If you want to succeed in life, know what your assets are and use them wisely. 3. Relationships © Warner Bros. Most of us fall with the idea of being in a relationship, and not with the person. Charlie taught us to wait, have fun, and eventually, you'll know when the right person comes along. It's better to wait than to settle down with the wrong person. Be sure that you want to actually spend the rest of your life with the person you're going to propose. Don't rush into anything. 4. Family Is Everything © Warner Bros. No matter how much he made fun of his brother, he always took care of him. He even broke up his engagement for his brother's sake. And the way he was a role model to his nephew, despite his shortcomings, was commendable. Charlie's relationship with his mother wasn't smooth and yet he managed to be there for her, every time she actually needed him. For him, if you look deeply, HIS family came first. Same should be the case with you. 5. Sense of Humour © Warner Bros. We are aware of Chandler Bing's sense of humour & sarcasm but if anyone used it correctly to pick up women, it was Charlie. Be it making fun of someone, or making a woman laugh or a cruel comeback to his mother's comments, he was quite the master at it. © Warner Bros. Watch the series, you'll definitely pick up some funny pick-up lines. 6. The I-Don't-Give-A-****-Attitude © Warner Bros. No matter what happened, Charlie always did what he wanted to do. He was single on his own terms, got engaged on his own terms and broke the engagement on his own terms. People called him a degenerate man-whore who fell into a pot of money, but he didn't care. He lived the way he wanted to and was never bothered by the fact that what 'people' might say.
  19. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is perhaps one of the handful of rare celebrities whose popularity is not bound by geography, nationality, race, or gender. He captured everyone's attention with his super successful wrestling career, and post that, just when others give up, he started off with his brand new innings as a mainstream Hollywood actor - to the delight of his fans worldwide. The one thing everyone looks up to, as far as he is concerned, is of course his badass physique, but he has proved time and time again that along with being fit, he is an extremely classy fashionista as well. Here are 15 pictures which prove that. 1. For a man who pretty much defines 'masculinity' in the rawest sense of the world, he pulls off a red floral shirt with unmatched nonchalance, proving why he is regarded as such. © Instagram 2. As classy as Ivory suits are, not everyone can pull them off with unparalleled class, and just roam about the city. But it's The Rock we're talking about. © Instagram 3. While data collection, or more precisely collection of performance logs, is a standard practice and does not include any of your private data, the report states that a major part of Google's data collection occurs while a user is not directly engaged with any of its products. The 55-page study says an idle smartphone running Google's Android operating system with its Chrome browser open sends data communications to Google's servers as often as 14 times an hour. © MensXP An equivalent experiment found that on an iOS device with Safari open but not Chrome, Google could not collect any appreciable data unless a user was interacting with the device. Overall, an idle Android device is found to communicate with Google nearly 10 times more often than an Apple device communicates with Apple servers. The study was paid for by Digital Content Next, a lobbying group that represents the digital publishing industry and has been a long time critic of Google. Previously, they have criticised Google for its unfair dominance in the online advertising industry. © Reuters Google has countered the report's credibility and issued a statement saying, "This report is commissioned by a professional DC lobbyist group, and written by a witness for Oracle in their ongoing copyright litigation with Google. So, it's no surprise that it contains wildly misleading information." The data collected here also includes Google's Advertisement division called DoubleClick. To push more relevant ads to the end user, Google often collects metadata that is related with an anonymous DoubleClick ID, this ID also helps in identifying the user on third-party platforms. © MensXP According to the study, the anonymous DoubleClick ID can be associated with the user directly when the user signs into the Google using the same browser. While Google may claim that a lot of this information is anonymous, Schmidt said that “Google distinctively possesses the ability to utilize data collected from other sources to de-anonymize such a collection.” Recently Google has also come under immense scrutiny when it was discovered that the user's location information was stored in the "My Activity" section even when "Location History" setting is turned off. Apple says that the data it collects from the iPhone is used for improving its own services like Siri, and is not used to deliver ads natively on the platform. When users set up their device, Apple explicitly asks users if they wish to provide usage information on an opt-in basis. Source: Digital Content Next
  21. Whatever any avenger can do, Thor can do it better. Arguably the strongest avenger, Thor always knows how to steal the thunder and that's why he's called the god of thunder, true story. So, here's a way to relive all of his epic entrances because this dramatic superhero needs even more appreciation. Just a suggestion, but you should play this while reading this article because this song is Thor's song now, thanks to Ragnarok. 1. Avengers: Infinity War Thor's entry in Wakanda has to be hands down the best entrance by any character in any movie ever. I mean, you can just tell that by how loudly everyone cheered in the theatre when the god of thunder made the epic descent to earth, that too at the most crucial moment. All the fighters on the ground – Captain America, Black Panther, Bruce Banner – are getting overwhelmed by the number of Outriders that they were having a hard time fighting. In that moment, the hero comes to save the day (not really, but it did give us false hope that everyone will be alright now) and the lightning blue axe flings through the Outriders, saving the other Avengers. Then, the Stormbreaker returns to Thor as he stands with Rocket and Groot. What a goosebumps inducing moment! The guy lost everything and almost died because of Thanos, obviously he's here for revenge(r) and the first thing he says is 'Bring me Thanos'. Brb, need to watch Infinity War again. 2. Thor: Ragnarok Even with one eye, Thor stuck the landing! Ragnarok is honestly one of the best movies by Marvel till date, if not the best one and even though it was quite hilarious, that did not mean they compromised on all the action and superheroes kicking butt. While fighting his evil sister and saving the people of Asgard, Thor really gave us one of the best fight sequence ever and the 'Immigrant Song' playing in the background just made the whole thing hundred times better. 3. Thor: The Dark World Leave it to Thor to always be extra and dramatic. Actually, we've been talking about Thor's entrances, but the bigger hero is Mjölnir(RIP) which comes before Thor does. The movie starts with Thor and his friends and warriors Fandral, Volstagg, and Sif fighting marauders on Vanaheim, as the final battle in a war to pacify the Nine Realms following the reconstruction of the Bifröst. Okay yes, The Dark World is pretty forgettable but at least Thor made sure to leave his mark. 4. Thor: The Dark World (again) Look at this dramatic asshole making another extra as **** entry in front of Malekith. 5. The Avengers Well, this is how Thor's first meeting with Captain America, Iron Man and Black Widow went. Look at that hair, tho. So flowy! Thor are you in a superhero movie or a shampoo commercial. But, the best part of this scene is Cap's dialogue because it never gets old - “There's only one god ma'am and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that.”
  22. For the uninitiated, 'Tinder Nightmares' is a rather hilarious page on Instagram that narrates, through screenshots, instances of bad Tinder openers or one liners. Mostly it's the guy doing the talking and the woman being at the receiving end of it but it's not all that morose or perverse, because some of the stuff is actually quite funny. Usually when women see an unabashed, volatile message on Tinder from a guy, they either ignore it or un-match him but some of these women have been nothing short of savage and have given the men a complete run for some of the smart alec comments made by them. Maybe our generation doesn't know how to start a simple conversation with a 'hi' or maybe we're so entitled to demand what is not ours, that garbing really insulting one-liners has become a thing, for this generation. Whatever it is, there's a page made about it now and everyone's deriving unscrupulous pleasures out of it, including me! Bet this group was made by a bunch of pissed off women? Anyway, we've compiled the best screenshots from Tinder, taken and put up by this page proving Tinder can be an actual nightmare sometimes! 23. You've heard the name, you've sure as hell seen that face doing the rounds of your TV and mobile screens of multiple occasions over the last couple of years. However, if you haven't got a keen eye for international news, you might still recognise this face from his more recent (albeit controversial) visit to India. That's Justin Trudeau and his isn't just a pretty face. The autumn of 2015 brought with itself welcome winds of change - one, that was to shift the limited perspective of our “civilized” society. When Justin Trudeau assumed the position of the Prime Ministerial elect on the 19th of October 2015, he gave the world and particularly its women a great deal of hope for the future. The 23rd Canadian Prime Minister dared to use the F-word during an interview on the very first night of his election. Beat that! Oh just FYI, by 'F-word' we mean F for Feminism, just in case you thought otherwise. Ever since, we have often partaken of his impassioned rhetoric on feminism and gender equality - something that was thought to have been quite unusual a stance for men to take, more so publicly. Trudeau started out on a good note, all pumped and ready to tear down every societal and political shackle that threatened the hope for a better world for women and children, something that the world needs a LOT more of right now. With more and more men opening up to discuss the feminist narrative and discover what's in it for them, we bring to you 7 such instances when Trudeau made feminism look super sleek on a man. 1. A Proud Torchbearer Of Feminist Fraternity © Reuters While speaking at a youth event in New York in 2017, Trudeau loudly and proudly proclaimed that he is a feminist and every man should identify as one as well. He said, “Feminism is recognising that men and women should be, can be and must be equal”. On the same platform he referred to the ongoing UN Week and spoke as an advocate for the 'He For She' movement and urged everyone to sign up for it and stand up for women. 2. Gender Parity, “Because It's 2015" © Reuters How can we forget the memorable day when Trudeau announced his cabinet members that blessed the world with a welcome sight of the 30-member cabinet taken up by equal number of men and women. He admitted that he was proud to present a cabinet of ministers that looked like Canada and when asked by maintaining gender parity was so important to him, he made the now-legendary remark, “because it's 2015”. 3. Like Father, Like Son: Raising Feminist Sons © Reuters In an article Trudeau wrote for 'Marie Claire', he mentioned how it's not enough for just girls and women to be feminists and that it was time to raise the boys as feminists too. He wishes to see a world where women don't miss out on opportunities by the mere virtue of being 'the second ***' and men come to recognise and change the culture of sexism in the society thereby making this world a better place for all to learn, grow and flourish. 4. Initiating Talks Around Women's Health On International Platform © Reuters While some of you may think that this isn't too much of a big deal, you'd be amazed to know how often women's healthcare issues and needs are overlooked by governments across the globe! Yes, at a time when the entire world is struggling to take women's healthcare seriously, Trudeau set up a gender equality advisory for the G7 Summit '18 and benched discussions around controversial issues such as sexual and reproductive health rights. 5. A Lesson On Feminism 101 In Under 10 Seconds For Men © Reuters During an interview in 2016 with the millennial men of Generation Y Not, Trudeau was asked for his give an advice to men, in 10 seconds or less, on how to become better feminists. To this he said, “There's lots of things you can do to be a better feminist as a man but here's a simple one: don't interrupt women, and notice every time women get interrupted in conversation.” Studies show that women are interrupted at a higher rate than men. That's some way to present it to the world, right? We like how he has brought discussions around feminism to the forefront and he makes it look good too. You should try it too, we say!
  24. 21st-century hype-beast and now dating a (let's say, another) top Bollywood actress (allegedly) — Ranbir Kapoor is living his life up lately. With neither a controversy by his side nor any breakouts on the face, this really is a fresh-new phase for the good-looking Kapoor. Looks like, he's gearing up for something really big and hopefully, not a movie like 'Sanju'. But while that's like dropping a few facts about him, let's mention another one: he's the owner of some really expensive menswear pieces. You read it right — really expensive and iconic is the definition of a lot of pieces from his wardrobe, that says a lot about his spending capabilities. So much so, that every time he's stepped out in any such pieces, we've been quick to bring them out on the forefront, dedicating 400 words-long pieces to them. After all, don't we all love to admire terrific sartorial sights? Which in all honesty, have always represented Ranbir Kapoor's true swag in life, which is basically being capable of buying some insanely expensive gear. So, here are 3 times he showed us his real swag, by slipping into pieces we can only dream of buying: 1. His Track Pants, cc: Balenciaga © Viral Bhayani For a very recent haircut appointment in Mumbai, Ranbir Kapoor slipped into a pair of track pants that were a replica of his whopping bank balance. Being paired with just a ripped/hole T-shirt, Kapoor's bottoms hailed from the international brand Balenciaga, retailing at a price of $705 (approx. Rs. 47,235). If this isn't a shocker to you, looks like you've watched 'Sanju' at least once. Pardon our humour. 2. Just A Simple T-Shirt, cc: Supreme x Nas © Viral Bhayani Call him crazy, but since Kapoor has the cash of our dreams, he likes to spend it on dreamy pieces. Like this plain, simple T-shirt here, that's straight off a collab between Supreme and the iconic rapper, Nas. As a matter of fact, the T-shirt is a part of a photo-led series of collections that have featured Lady Gaga, Mike Tyson among others. This casual T-shirt here, however, comes with a price tag of $225 on eBay.com, amounting to Rs. 15,450. A good enough piece for a casual outing, no? 3. A Casual Outfit, cc: (A Not So Casual) Price © Viral Bhayani This may sound absurd, but sometimes, Ranbir also loves to wear two drop-dead expensive pieces in one ensemble. Actually, it's almost like his way of life. So no surprises here, he slipped into a Heron Preston sweatshirt, sneakers from Leather Crown x Niuku, both costing Rs. 27,950 and Rs. 27,570 respectively. Well, we don't have much to add here, really.
  25. Football, being the wonderful sport that it is, remains a contact sport despite a few denying this fact. With all the adrenaline rush that goes on, tempers often soar high and lead to unsavory incidents on the pitch. While this World Cup may not have had too many such incidents, footballers do not always manage to keep their composure. Teammates, coaches, opponents and even referees have gotten involved in such untoward instances, which have etched their name in infamy. Here are some of the most heated fights that have taken place on the football pitch: 1. Arsenal Vs Chelsea (2007) © Twitter Let's be honest, nobody cares about the League Cup anymore. However, in 2007, it was a significant moment as Arsenal came up against Chelsea. The two teams had had quite a few feisty encounters at the time, and their managers Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho constantly had a go at each other. Chelsea scored a late goal and led 2-1, and with the match deep into injury time, the ball broke free in midfield and Jon Obi Mikel and Kolo Toure both tore into each other to get the possession. Before we knew it, Toure and Mikel were at each other's collars. Players from both teams got involved and it soon became a street fight, resulting in both the alarmed managers invading the pitch in an effort to calm things down. The match ended with Mikel, Toure, and Adebayor being sent off. The FA wasn't going to let this slide and handed out massive punishments to both the clubs. All the suspensions were held, with Adebayor and Eboue being suspended for four instead of three games. The clubs were fined GBP 100,000 for failing to control their players and both the managers were reprimanded for their ungraceful remarks about the officials. Overall, it was a total shit-show. 2. Kieron Dyer Vs Lee Bowyer (2005) © Twitter This one is actually quite funny. It was 2005 and Newcastle's glory days were few and far in between. In a regular Premier League match against Aston Villa, Kieron Dyer and Lee Bowyer, who were both midfielders for Newcastle at the time, decided to revisit their school days. The pair got into an argument about passing the ball to each other and in a split second, they were at each other's collars. Punches rained from both sides as they had to be separated by the opposition players and their own teammates. In the fracas, Bowyer had his shirt ripped and didn't look like he was done with Dyer. Consequently, Newcastle lost the match 3-0 and ended the game with 8 men, as Steven Taylor had been sent off before the incident. Both players were handed out massive fines and suspensions by the club and the Premier League. This was as hilarious as it was shocking! 3. Portugal Vs Netherlands (2006) © Twitter It's not really a football match when the entire match is a brawl. In the Round of 16 match between Portugal and Netherlands at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, 16 yellow cards and 4 red cards were handed out, as both sides ended the match with 9 men. Cristiano Ronaldo was kung-fu kicked by Khalid Boulahrouz and was forced off through injury. Luis Figo headbutted an opponent and was elbowed in the face sometime later. Even the benches of both the teams got involved. Portugal, eventually, did emerge as winners at the end of what seemed more like a Royal Rumble. 4. Sergio Ramos Vs Barcelona (2010) © Twitter How could we leave Sergio Ramos and El Classico out of this? In 2010, Barcelona were 5-0 up against Real Madrid. With Messi going on one of his trademark runs deep into injury time, frustration got the better of Ramos as he kicked Messi to knock him down. As Messi's Barcelona teammates aggressively surrounded Ramos, he shoved Carles Puyol, his national team captain in the face, exchanged a few words with Gerard Pique, kicked off a brawl which involved all players and supporting staff and on his way to the dugout, shoved Xavi Hernandez along the way as he nonchalantly entered the tunnel, leaving others to clean up his mess. Yes, he's always been a moron. 5. Manchester United Vs Arsenal (2003) © Twitter Matches between Arsenal and Manchester United have always paved the way for exciting duels. But, in 2003, the football madness - generally offered by these two sides - was shockingly complemented by some absolute shithoussery from the likes of Roy Keane, Patrick Vieira, Paul Scholes and Martin Keown. In one such match at Old Trafford, Ruud van Nistelrooy acted to perfection and got Patrick Vieira sent off. With the tempers flaring, Manchester United were awarded a penalty which van Nistelrooy missed. As the final whistle blew, five Arsenal players surrounded Van Nistelrooy and pushing, shoving and verbal tirades followed. The match ended in a draw and Arsenal went on a 49-game unbeaten run. A year later, Manchester United ended that run and a sour Cesc Fabregas threw a pizza at Sir Alex Ferguson for it. Those were the days!
