  1. As streetwear trend catches on, a good ol' pair of jeans is not just a basic piece anymore. As more and more brands hop on the bandwagon of street-inspired attire, denim trends have evolved as well. Be it an ode to the 80s with bleached jeans or the much hyped distressed jeans, denim continues to be a statement maker even with new trends. Denim being the most versatile of the lot, acts as a perfect canvas for DIY tricks. Buying a pair of contemporary style jeans can be pretty expensive. Instead, why not spend a few hours on a lazy weekend to give new life to an already useless old pair found at the back of the closet? Try out these 4 DIY tricks and transform your old pair of basic jeans into a trendy one: 1. Distressed Jeans © instagram @vickykaushal09 What you need: Chopping board, chalk, scissors, sandpaper, tweezer Safety first, place a chopping board where you intend you place your denims. Nobody wants destroyed mattresses or rugs in the process. Place your pair of jeans and neatly mark a line with a chalk where you want to rip it. Rub the targeted area with sandpaper to loosen up the fabrics first and then make the cut using a scissor. Use the tweezer to pull out threads from the denim to create a rugged effect. Remember to start small as there's no turning back if you rip too much. Pro tip: For knee rips, aim a little above the knee when you're going in with scissors, as tearing too low can make the hole bigger when you walk, as you'll lean into them. 2. Frayed hem © instagram @shahidkapoor What you need: Scissors, chalk, tweezer Frayed hem jeans have been popular recently as they resemble a more hep version of ankle length pants. Perfect for showing off your beloved kicks, frayed jeans are a hoot. To make one at home, iron your jeans first to make sure the length of each leg is equal. Begin by making a straight line with chalk of equal length on each ankle. After snipping the jeans you'll see horizontal and vertical threading. Use a tweezer to pull on the threads until you've reached the level of distressing you want. 3. Patch work jeans © pinterest What you need: Iron, iron-on patch, tea towel Patches have been symbolizing brand values for ages now. Be it the Gucci tiger or the Balenciaga logo, patches represent individuality. Also a great way to mend old jeans or to channel your inner cowboy look, patches can transform jeans in a good way. Iron -on patches are the easiest way to DIY old jeans. For this method, pre-heat the denim with an iron for 30 seconds then place the patch at the desired location. Lay out a tea towel over the jeans so you don't end up burning the patch. Repeat for 90 seconds on each side until secure and dry for a few minutes. Don't use a steam iron as dry heat makes the patch stick better. 4. Paint splatter effect © instagram @vickykaushal09 What you need: Newspapers, rubber gloves, a bucket, acrylic paint If you're a fan of the faux-artist vibes, this look will add edge to your look. If not, well it still looks fly as hell. Pick out a pair f medium or light wash jeans as it displays the effect better. To achieve this effect, lay your jeans on old newspapers, put on some rubber gloves and get your chosen paint ready. Make sure the container is big enough to fit your hand in it. Create a fist and flick the paint onto the jeans rapidly. If you desire bigger paint sploges, flick closer to the jeans and for smaller ones, flick further away from them.
  2. There's a hot new Battle Royale game that has been the talk of the town and we've been playing the game ever since its release. It's called 'Apex Legends' and the game is free-to-play across all platforms. Just like the any other Battle Royale game, you need to know a few tips and tricks in order to win a match. 'Apex Legends' has nuances that make it different from any other Battle Royale game out there. You need to know your abilities and different types of guns for different situations. Here are a few tips and tricks you need to know to secure that win in Apex Legends. Loot Is Important © YouTube No matter what you do, loot is the most important thing in any Battle Royale game. Make sure you grab the Armour, Helmet, weapon and ammo. Do not pick unnecessary items that you don't need as inventory space is more important than anything in this game. Have Enough Ammo Ammo is scarce and your guns will burn through ammo faster than you would expect. Make sure you always have enough ammo for your primary weapon. Use Your Ability Whenever You Can © MensXP Abilities in Apex Legends recharge very quickly and you should use it whenever you need it. For example, if you play 'Lifeline', always call in the drop as it has upgraded armour pieces or shield cells. If you play Bloodhound, make sure you use your ability to scan the area whenever you are unsure of your surroundings. Abilities will give you an upper hand in the game and we cannot stress enough how important it is to use abilities at the right time. Replenish Your Shields First © YouTube If you get damaged, always replenish your shield first as it is your primary health. It only takes 3 seconds to fill up each bar whereas a sunrise takes five seconds. Enemy's Armour Are Undamaged After you kill someone, always check for new armour in the box/body. It is best to switch to a new armour as it is faster than restoring it with 'Shield Cells'. After a gunfight, just pick up an enemy's armour instead as it is undamaged in his box. The Ping System Is An Essential Tool © YouTube You can communicate with your teammate without uttering a single word. That's because the ping system in Apex Legends is one of the best we've ever seen. You can ping weapons, armour, enemies and point out loot without saying a word. This removes the language barrier amongst random players and is probably the most essential tool in the game. Don't Waste Ammo On Downed Players © Respawn Entertainment If you've downed an enemy, it's best not to waste your ammo on finishing the job. If the coast is clear, you can use a finisher to kill the enemy which essentially helps you save ammo. You can also use them as bait to help you finish remaining squad members. Slide When Going Downhill © YouTube The game has no fall damage which makes it easier for you to traverse the map. You can even slide down a slope which can be used to dodge enemy fire and to find cover. It's also faster than running down a slope.
  3. If you're trying out new ways to date women this year, you're right on point with your decision! While dating trends are changing, so are people's outlook towards life and that's what incorporates a steady and healthy dating life. Along with some basic dating trends, if you want to up your dating app vibe and make it more relatable with the female audience you're trying to impress, then you can figure out how to do that by hearing it from the horse's mouth. OkCupid, a renowned dating app service has through its research listed some sure-shot ways to up your dating game this year, through your dating app. (c)Pintrest And they mean business when they seriously tell you to up your dating game, since they know how dull app history can be, thanks to their invincible algorithm. So, if you want to lurk ahead and find some interesting matches online, here are 7 simple yet well researched steps you need to follow and see the magic unfold (1) Update Your Profile Frequently An estimated 1 in 3 dating app users don't update their dating app profile once they put it up - but if you add a new photo or a new story, most dating apps treat you like a new person and the algorithm kicks into gear, showing you to MORE people. So, if you want to find newer people, and trick the algorithm into thinking you're brand new yourself, keep updating your profile often. Put new pictures, update or change your bio or any other information you like. (c)Getty Images (2) Upload More Photos & Not Just Selfies Share photos that show what makes you- whether that's volunteering, running marathons or hanging out with friends. Here's the secret - you want to make it easy for that other person out there to reach out to the photo and say “I went to New Zealand last month too and loved it! Did you go to Wellington?” Here's a secret ingredient- photos that include animals are 3x more likely to get attention. Just don't go chasing dogs to click selfies with them. (c)Getty Images (3) Show More Tell Less Instead of describing yourself with a long list of adjectives, talk about the things you love and enjoy doing. If you love dogs, show a picture with you and your dog in the park; if you're an adrenaline junkie, mention the time you went skydiving (or even played Kabaddi for that matter); if you're funny describe an instance when you were heroically funny or maybe list an original joke? Just put pictures which talk at the same time so the person checking your profile looks forward to talking to you, eventually. (c)Getty Images (4) Answer All The Questions The App Asks You Most apps ask you a bunch of questions to gather more information. OkCupid for example, has a bunch of interesting questions for you and according to what you answer, they find the perfect match. So, make sure you answer all of them, in order to find what you're seeking. You'll even figure out what you're actually looking for in the process too. (c)Getty Images (5) Send Meaningful Messages While it is true that women are 2.5x more likely to get a response than men if they initiate the conversation. Men shouldn't lose heart. Look at a prospective match's profile and comment on something specific that you like. Keep it around 140 characters and please don't say “hey.” Try to engage on a specific photo or question. And yes, saying “hey” in a first message is almost equivalent to saying nothingâ—âthis greeting has an 84% chance of being completely ignored. So, maybe comment on a picture if you see something interesting there and strike up a conversation about the same with her? (c)Pintrest (6) Put More Time & Energy Into Your Profile I often hear people complain saying 'there's no one to be found through these apps.' You do know that's absolutely wrong right? The purpose of these apps is to find you someone you can absolutely get along with but that won't happen until and unless you make that extra effort. If you don't log in enough on your app, you can't expect it to work on its own can you? When I asked a bunch of people how much effort and time they actually take out for their apps, most of them said 5 minutes per week! (c)Pintrest Dating is FUN! But don't forget you get out of it what you put into it, so put some love into finding love. Many apps make your profile dormant if you don't go on for more than two weeks, meaning they stop showing you people. Here's another interesting fact you probably didn't know about dating apps and what they do! They increase your likes by up to 3x when you log in everyday! (7) Get Your Timings Right Well, according to well researched activity, dating apps are most crowded around 5 pm daily. That's when the maximum traffic is processed and people are often found swiping then. Apart from that, Sunday turns out to be the best and successful day to plan dates for the week! So, if you find a successful match and if you're confused about a day to meet, keep Sunday in mind for sure. (c)Pintrest While the world making sure dating apps don't go obsolete in the coming future by upping the content on them, they're also making sure everything is well researched so that people actually find what they're looking for. The following data is well researched and inspected before divulged so you may want to take these 7 points more seriously, to up your dating game and successfully finding what you're looking for, this year!
  4. Now that 2018 is ending, everyone is in a party mood, and naturally, wants to end the year with a bang. The plans for the New Year parties are on, and every man wants to look his best for that. New Year dance parties, irrespective of wherever they are, have one thing in common. They get wild. The warm layers come off, and everyone wants to show off their 'guns' - no pun intended. If you have been hitting the weights in the gym like an animal, it's easy for you, but some of us have been wallowing a little too much in the holiday spirit, and haven't been able to hit the gym as much as we usually do. What's the solution then, to look fit for the big night? If you somehow can manage to make your arms look bigger than they actually are, along with making your waist look smaller, it makes you look super fit. Keeping that in mind, we have devised three clever hacks that will help you out. Karan Tacker seems to know how to read our mind, and he wore an outfit exactly like that. Read on. © Viral Bhayani 1. To make your waist look slimmer, you need to create an illusion of elongation. Wear co-ords. By that, we mean wear the same colour on your upper body, as well as your lower body. That way, even if you have a little bit of flab around the tummy or your waist, that will be inconspicuous. © Viral Bhayani 2. Go for dark colours. Dark colours are slimming. They will make you look skinnier than you actually are. That, along with the co-ord situation, will make you look taller as well. It's a win-win! © Viral Bhayani 3. Wear a fitted T-shirt that cups your shoulders and chest nicely. The arms need to be fitted as well, and can't be hanging around loose. Along with that, wear a pair of pants that fit you nicely around the waist and the glutes, but isn't essentially a pair of super skinny trousers. The fitted T-shirt will make sure that your arms look well-defined and big, and the pants will give your bottom a natural lift that will make it look bigger, thereby making your physique look super fit. © Viral Bhayani Pro-tip: Before you head out for the party, do some push-ups and squats at home for that extra party pump. They will add some temporary, but optimum volume to your triceps, chest, and glutes. There is no substitute for that and you know it. Follow these tips and you'll be all set. Good luck!
  5. Blackout is a new Battle Royale mode for 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 4' and is full of strange, hidden little secrets most of us won't discover on our own. The community forums and fan sites have been buzzing about all the little things one can find and achieve while fighting for their lives across the biggest map in the franchise. If you aren't aware of what Battle Royale means: a large group of players will be dropped onto the Blackout map, forced to scavenge for weapons as a circle encloses the combatants and forces them together. Last player standing wins. Blackout's launch numbers are hitting a quarter million on Twitch, as prospective buyers and fans tune in to see how Blackout fares against the Fornite and PUBG community. Here's our list of the top tips and tricks one should know to play the game like a pro! 1. Use A Sensor Dart: © YouTube A Sensor Dart comes in extremely handy when you're driving or flying around and need to keep an eye on enemy combatants. The Sensor Dart will stay active as you drive around, and mark any nearby opponents on your map. Just drive by houses, and you can instantly see if there's anyone inside. You can also attach it on a drone and then scout the area for enemies. This way, you can remain camouflaged in a safe place while the drone and the sensor dart will do all the work for you. 2. Create A Trap: © Activision In the Battle Royale format, everyone is looking for a stash of weapons to choose from. Once you have a good enough loadout, create a trap for other players. While the majority of your gear will be found inside locations as the game automatically places it in the centre of rooms, you can drop a few weapons from your inventory in the open, and camp at a nearby place. You simply use your own weapons to lure other players and then take em out from your concealed location. You get your kill, and the weapon continues as a trap. 3. Shoot Down The Supply Drop Plane: © YouTube Something unique to Blackout, you can use the rocket launcher's lock-on to destroy the Supply Drop plane. There's a cool animation, and the Supply Drop will appear at the plane crash site. The perfect way to grab all the loot for yourself and be the first to grab it when a plane is flying overhead. Also, while all the loot is randomly dropped in the map, a few of these drops are well calculated. Meaning, you'll find a sniper rifle easily on rooftops and terrain or watchtowers, while SMGs and rifles are laid across the city. 4. Kill And Loot Zombies: © Digital Trends The Blackout map is peppered with locations from Call of Duty's zombified history. Not only are they packed full of zombie hordes that will counter other players, but defeating a location's horde will spawn a "Mystery Box" that contains a bonus 'Zombies' weapon. At the Graveyard, south-East of the Asylum, finish off the horde out in the open and the Mystery Box will appear in the middle. Another location is Shadows of Evil Boxing Gym, east of Fracking Tower, a Mystery Box is in the centre of the ring. 5. Store Your Loot In A Truck: © Twitch Not only can you drop a Sensor Dart / Trophy System onto a vehicle, but you can also load down vehicles with loot items. If you can't carry everything, dump your items onto the truck bed. The truck can hold at least 10 items and can act as your own portable inventory option. Also, keep your inventory neat and uncluttered. Don't just go on collecting everything you find. The problem starts to arise when you rack up on all kinds of scopes, magazines, and barrels for guns that you don't have in hopes of finding the weapon they belong to. 6. Boost Your Health: © Twitch Bandages, Med Kits, and Trauma Kits are the three available health boosters in the game. Each one is more powerful than the last, but the trauma kit is the best because it can boost your health up to 200 — or +50 over the standard cap. Use a Trauma Kit as soon as you have it, even before joining a fight. Also, if you have enough med kits, being out of the circle for some time is perfect, as other players will be more focused on finding you inside the circle. This gives you an edge, and can quickly scout and kill other players inside the circle. 7. Use Tools And Perks: © Vox Blackout has some special equipment that includes items such as barricades and mines that you can deploy as traps. The grappling hook gun will help zip past short distances quickly and provide a significant advantage in the middle of a firefight. You will also find perks scattered all across the place just like weapons, and the capability includes allowing you to see an enemy's planted equipment, helping you move faster while crouched or prone, and cutting the time it takes to use healing items. Use perks when the time is right and you need to have the edge.
  6. Apple has dropped the new iOS 12 update to all iPhones starting with the iPhone 5S. We've been using the new OS update for quite some time thanks to the Beta channel, and the new update is much more than just performance fixes. Apple has stressed that the new OS update will not slow down your phone but actually make it faster. The focus has been on making even older devices run faster. The change is very noticeable, especially on the iPhone 5S, SE, and 6. In the last one year, the company has been dealing with a lot of complaints from users, thanks to a slightly broken iOS that would crash with a simple link or text message. While we're glad Apple has finally made iOS tolerable again, the company has also added tonnes of new features. A lot of these additions are very minor but can bring about a major change if used correctly. We've prepared a list of newly hidden additions that iOS 12 has: 1. Bedtime Mode: © MensXP The Bedtime feature has been there in the Clock app for years. Basically, you can set your regular sleeping time and the phone will remind you to go to bed via a notification. It also syncs with Apple Health and your Apple Watch data to keep a track of whether you are following your goals. Now, even the Do Not Disturb mode can be synced along with Bedtime, wherein all notifications will be silenced, and also hid from the lock screen. This way, you can go to sleep without any interrupting notifications that light up the display. Apple has also subtly made the background of the lock screen darker during bedtime, making it easier for you to check the time in darkness. 2. Content & Privacy Restrictions: © MensXP Content Restrictions on iOS 12 let you manage almost every aspect of your phone's functionality ranging from whether a user can delete or install new apps to the use of location services. The option can be found in the Settings app, in the ScreenTime menu. With this, you can micromanage everything an app can do on your phone. For starters, you can set U, US, A ratings for Movies and TV shows, so that the kids in the house don't go wandering. Or, you can control sending out data from your phone. Have a very sensitive job? Block off all apps from using the GPS. These are just a few examples. The amount of control you get is unbelievable. 3. Search Photos: © MensXP You're out with your friends and wanna show that cool place you had visited six months back, but don't wanna scroll through the thousands of other pictures on your camera roll? Simply search for it! Similar to Google Photos, the app can now search photos based on category, place, and people. The algorithm will constantly scan pictures and categorise them accordingly, like pictures taken in / of a vehicle, pictures of dogs, food, and almost everything. This makes discovering pictures a lot easier, and the system creates new albums all on its own. 4. Measure App: © MensXP The Measure app is based on Apple's ARKit 2, you can use your iPhone or iPad to take the measurements of just about anything in your environment. In simple words, you don't need to worry about carrying a physical tape measure anymore. Want to calculate the length or area of something that's tough to get a tape measure against? You don't have to buy a separate device to accomplish that calculation; you don't even have to buy a separate app to do it. It will measure the area, perimeter, as well as the central point all by itself. 5. Manage Notifications: © MensXP Managing the hundreds of notifications on iOS 11 was a pain, Apple has finally fixed this. Instead of seeing a long list of notifications, iOS 12 now groups them for you –not just by the app but also by topic and thread. You can now also manage how every notification reacts, individually. Just swipe left on the notification and select Manage. Deliver Quietly means that notifications for this app will appear in Notification Center but not on the lock screen or with an audible alert. Turn Off turns off all notifications for that app.
  7. I know that playing games sometimes is really a childish gambit, but there are some things you gotta do, to get the kind of attention you need and deserve from the woman you're attracted to, and playing hard to get is one of them! Even if she knows you're into her, don't throw yourself at her disposal, just so you can win her over. If she knows you're available for her all the time, then she will rain all over your parade and make it difficult for you to get what you really want. © Dharma Productions Playing hard to get is different from 'the chase' and in no way, it's as harsh as it sounds. It's just that it may backfire sometimes if you drag it along too far or if you play too hard to get, to get her attention. Other than that, it's a fun game to indulge in and by the end of it, we know for sure, she's going to be wanting you back as much as you want her in the first place. Here are 5 ways you can play hard to get to win her attention: (1) Do Not Give Her The Attention She Wants Yes, of course, she wants attention from you. Even if she doesn't say it, she always wants it. So, give her the attention she needs but not the attention she wants. Which means, you really need to get into your crush's head to figure out what kind of attention she wants and try and play hard to get around that. The thing is, if you give her the attention she wants, she will stop working towards caring about that attention from you and it'll all end there. So, always weigh the kind of attention you want to give her. Like, keep an eye on her but don't mollycoddle her, at least for a while. But don't create such a distance that she isn't interested in pursuing anything with you. Be smart about it. (2) Get Her To Make An Effort You obviously want your crush to make an effort for you, big or small. While she's making an effort, don't negate those efforts or act aloof and don't shy away from making efforts yourself. But remember to get her to make an effort for you. That's the one thing that will also bring equality into the equation, apart from playing hard to get. By playing hard to get, you can always make her feel in subtle ways, that making an effort for someone you care about isn't a bad thing at all. (3) Give Her A Chance To Miss You This one's important. Giving her space is very relevant if you want to win her attention. It makes her wonder about you more, which in turn makes her think about you and want to see you more often. It's like reverse psychology. Keeping her in mystery about your whereabouts really works like a charm. You can emerge once in a while and strike up a conversation. Don't go completely MIA on her, girls don't like that. In fact, be around from a distance, so that she misses you and wants to see you. (4) Build The Sexual Tension But Make Her Wait For *** If you're a smart guy, you'd know what I mean. Usually, women are a tease for men but sometimes men can be a tease too. You can build sexual tension in a lot of ways. You can attract her just by using your body language or by doing subtle things like sending hot selfies (not nudes!) of you, or using the element of mystery, to completely intrigue her. Whatever you do, build the sexual tension for a while but never give in, no matter how turned on the two of you are. This can be of great advantage for you, as she'll obviously want you more and when you do have *** with her eventually, it'll be great. (5) Use The Element Of Mystery Don't let her in easy, always keep your guard up for a while, when you're playing hard to get, just so she's more intrigued by your presence. Be the man of mystery, she is dying to solve! It's rather simple. A woman's mind tends to fill the missing gaps, when there is a lack of information. If you reveal everything at once, there is no scope for leaving anything to the imagination. Simply put, the psychology of attraction always helps if you don't reveal much about yourself and let them be as curious as they can, leaving an element of mystery, to ponder upon. So, let her want to know you more and more before you give in and become unguarded. Playing hard to get should never be stressful psychologically or otherwise for either of you. Don't come off as an ass****! Keep your distance intelligently and give her the affection she deserves, be mysterious but not stupid. Don't lose your lady love in the bargain and always respect her choices. Once she's completely into you, you can stop playing hard to get and get to know her like you want to, as well.
  8. The Samsung Galaxy Note9 is here, and it is definitely the fastest and most productive Samsung phone ever. Samsung's Note series has always been known for its S Pen stylus, and every year the company goes on adding a host of ultra-productive features. The capabilities of the S Pen are infinite--right from taking quick notes to using it as a remote, this single stylus has made Note series among the top-selling worldwide. With the Note 9, Samsung has drastically changed how the S Pen works. It now has its own battery, can perform a lot more than air commands, and runs on Bluetooth LE now. Here's our list of tips and tricks you should know to squeeze the most out the tiny stylus. 1. Unlock Your Phone Via The S Pen © Samsung While the Note 9 has an array of unlocking methods, the new S Pen can also unlock your phone with just a click. To enable the feature, go to Settings > Advanced features > S Pen > Unlock with S Pen remote and select "Unlock with S Pen remote." This will come in very handy when you're in a presentation and need to unlock the phone quickly. Coming to presentations, the S Pen also comes with remote capabilities, but more on that in the next point. 2. Remote Capabilities © Samsung Like I said earlier, the Note 9 S Pen has its own battery and it charges automatically when you push it in. This battery enables the stylus to act like a remote control, you can control multiple functions of an app via the stylus now. For example, you can use the S Pen as a camera shutter or use it to change slides in a presentation. For now, the remote functionality is supported by the Camera, Gallery, Media, Chrome, Home Office Editor, and Snapchat. 3. Screen Off Memo This feature is available since the Note 7 and makes use of Samsung's expertise in AMOLED displays. With Off Screen Memo, as soon as you remove the S Pen from its slot, the phone provides a black screen to write on. It's perfect for last minute lists, capturing your thoughts or making notes at a work event. AMOLED displays don't require a constant backlight, hence only the pixels you write on are consuming power. Not only is this option quick, but also saves a lot of power. Everything you note down is saved in Samsung's Note app for you to share or edit later on. 4. Magnifying Glass © YouTube As soon as you remove the S Pen, the air commands menu shows up. Just select the icon with the S Pen, and a rounded-off square that occupies a small box in the screen appears. If you aim the tip of the pen at the area you want to magnify, it shows up in that square. At any time, you can change the magnification between 1.5- to 3X. 5. Customise Air Commands © Samsung Air command is the interface that pops-up for you to tap with the S Pen. To customise this, open Air command and tap the settings cog that appears in the opposite corner. Here you can change the shortcuts, launch any app you have on your phone, or add in the useful Glance feature that's not included as standard. If you have the S Pen in hand, but the Air command icon has vanished or you've turned it off, just press the button on the S Pen as you approach the display. 6. Live Messages © TechRadar Live messages are animated GIFs that record and replay your pen strokes in real time for up to 15 seconds. There's also options for changing how thick the lines are, and a choice of colors. To access live messages, simply take the S Pen out from the device, hit the grey pen icon that pops up, and select “live message.” 7. Translate Via The S Pen There's also a translate option for S Pen. From Air Command select "translate" and go to your mysterious language text and hover over what you want translating.
