You know those kiosks in malls that sell fresh, warm cinnamon buns? That’s what my perfume smelled like—wild and sweet. I couldn’t let it go, man. It initially had hints of burnt caramel, but in less than a minute it smoothed itself. So despite reading and writing manuals about “different seasons, different scents”, I decided to make it my signature fragrance. For a year, at least. The catch here was that my perfume was neither an office-friendly material nor a date-like fragrance. It was a party scent—strong and a mix of all. It made me encounter some spicy and some bitter truths about spraying the same men’s perfume. 1. It Takes A Few Attempts To Find A Universal ScentI rejected a few scents before I discovered a fragrance I wouldn’t get bored of. Also, when you’re planning to wear the same perfume day after day, you might get used to the notes and not feel the kick anymore. So what kind of flavours are your forever favourite also plays an important role here. It did for me. __ECOMPRODUCT__3163__ 2. Wrong Scents Can Actually Piss People OffMaybe after a month or two, you won’t smell the perfume as strongly as before but people around you will. So it’s crucial to pick a neutral, pleasant scent that the majority of people can comprehend and complement. I have seen people who are not a fan of sweets or cinnamon feel cranky around me and the friends who loved the sweet and spicy combo, stuck around a little more. It’s a natural reaction. That’s what perfume does to you. It rules your mood. __ECOMPRODUCT__3165__ 3. Made A Note: Seasons Matter & So Does The Timing In warmer climates, a scent spreads quickly so a mild perfume seems good enough but this doesn’t happen in the colder weather. You need stronger and deeper fragrances to make an impression. Of course, I knew it. Didn’t realise how important these factors were until now. When I applied my perfume in summer, it was overwhelming for some of my colleagues so I had to reduce the number of spritzes. __ECOMPRODUCT__2703__ 4. I Realised When I Was Applying Too Much Or Too LessYes, two to three spritzes are enough but no one can decide that number for you. When I wore my perfume at work, it seemed like too much. The same perfume on a date smelled quite underwhelming. This gave me a clearer picture of what works when you’re outdoors at night and what feels pleasant around colleagues, in the daytime, indoors. Bonus: Most of my dates appreciated my perfume for its nostalgic value—delish and equally spicy. __ECOMPRODUCT__3166__ 5. My Perfume Became People’s MemoryMy folks and friends could tell the day I changed my perfume. Smells and memories are deeply connected and most of my key moments in that year got linked to my scent. Not just for me but also, for the people around me. The fragrance complimented my mood and emotions for a long time. Understand that for people, even the ones who know the specifics of your perfume, it becomes your scent. One of their strongest senses activates a memory of you whenever they smell the same perfume anywhere else. The caption was hilarious as it read, "When you have a pool party at noon and a flight at 4pm". The anonymous woman is seen flaunting her body with pride in an olive green bikini and a face mask, which stands as a mandate with Federal Aviation Administration. This one video has taken social media and the internet by storm. It has been viewed more than 80,000 times now, and many people came forward with funny responses. A few also surmised that she would not have been allowed on the plane as the security wouldn't let her through. One user also said, "If she made it on the plane like that she'll be hating life because planes get a lot cooler than airports do." © Instagram/humansofspiritairline Another user also said, "At least she has her mask on! Spirit Airlines spoke to NY Post and said that it's unverified as often accounts give false information on videos and images. If the woman could board the plane, the spokesperson said that it would have violated the airline's policy as it prevents passengers from boarding in clothes if they are inadequate or seen in clothes that are "lewd, obscene or offensive in nature". The Spirits Airlines' Contract of Carriage reads, "A guest shall not be permitted to board the aircraft or may be required to leave an aircraft if that guest … is barefoot or inadequately clothed, or whose clothing is lewd, obscene, or offensive in nature." These shoes have a round toe with a black tab reminiscent of the classic high-top style. There's also transparent paneling which has a plastic-like appeal to it.
