  1. Yesterday was one of the most memorable days for all the class XII students of the CBSE board. If you ask me, it was a 'Throwback Thursday' for half the people of this country, because once the results were declared, all of us wanted to 'throwback' our own marksheets in some box and bury it in a place where no can find it. THANK GOD, we are not a part of this crazy competition anymore. © Twitter But, first let's take this opportunity to congratulate Hansika Shukla and Karishma Arora, who became the joint toppers of the CBSE class 12 exams by scoring 499 marks out of 500. 17-year-old Hansika Shukla, a Humanities student scored 100 in Political Science, Psychology, History and Hindustani Vocals, and 99 in English. If the fact that she scored 499 out 500 wasn't insane enough, her reasoning for losing one mark pretty much summed up the whole thing. © Twitter Blaming social media for distracting her, Hansika said, "If I would have concentrated more on studies, apart from whatever time I have wasted in doing online chat or playing games, I may not have missed a mark in English." It's still unbelievable that she just missed ONE mark. I was pretty happy with 70%, but today's kids are unhappy despite scoring 98% or 99%. © Twitter Hansika, who wants to pursue Psychology from DU and aims to become an IAS or IFS officer, further said, "There is no time limit and pressure to get success. I go through the books and school notes to prepare for the examination. The NCERT books and study materials are enough and there is no need to confuse yourself by studying other materials available online." While we are proud of Hansika and all the class 12 students, Twitter is busy investigating about that missing one mark. Got 99.8% in CBSE boards.. Not at all happy. With @cbseindia29 why you give me 499/500?? Says Hansika Shukla(Cbse topper) pic.twitter.com/pr7otOc7zL — Abhishek Gahawai (@AGahawai) May 2, 2019 499/500 seriously , 1 mark deducted for Vidyarthi Kalyan Cess . Haha #CBSE — Vivek Sharma (@vvkofficial) May 2, 2019 CBSE toppers Hansika Shukla & Karishma Arora have scored 499/500 marks this year. Waiting for their parents to scold them for losing that one mark. #CBSE — Roshan Rai (@RoshanKrRai) May 2, 2019 #CBSE Engineering Colleges after seeing toppers scoring 499/500 : pic.twitter.com/HqpUlqH7SH — jiteshrochlani (@jiteshrochlani) May 2, 2019 So #CBSEResult2019 topper gets 499/500. 2. It is Varun Dhawan's birthday today. The actor, who impressed everyone with his portrayal of Zafar in 'Kalank' (let's not talk about the fight scene with a CGI bull), the actor turned 32 today, by 'kicking in' his birthday in Thailand with Muay Thai. View this post on Instagram Kicking in the bday. Thank u for all the wishesð¤ð¼ A post shared by Varun Dhawan (@varundvn) on Apr 23, 2019 at 10:01pm PDT From Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon, Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Madhuri Dixit Nene to his girlfriend Natasha Dalal; almost all his friends in Bollywood had all the nicest things to say about Varun and wished him luck. Instagram However, it was actor Arjun Kapoor's birthday wish, who also happens to be Varun's 'chaddi buddy', which caught our attention. Arjun wished him in the most savage way and let's be honest that's what best friends do: they embarass you and make fun of you. But, you still love them and can't live without them. Although everyone thinks Arjun and Ranveer are best bros, here are some moments that prove Arjun and Varun are 'best friend goals' and have been constantly redefining brocode under our nose. 1. Their Mutual Hatred And Now Love For Katrina Kaif If you are someone who has never heard of 'I Hate Katrina Kaif' fan club, then chances are you were living under a rock all this time. And since you didn't know about the club, you wouldn't know that Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor were the proud founders or admins of this club. Recently they underwent a change of heart and turned the club's name to 'We Love KK' and gave her a Dalmatian trophy too. View this post on Instagram So @varundvn & I are starting a new fan club #WeLoveKK aka @katrinakaif !!! Here we are seen awarding her, for absolutely no reason whatsoever... PS - the Dalmatian trophy Katrina's holding represents our faithful friendship kyunki yeh dosti #firstclass hai !!! ððð A post shared by Arjun Kapoor (@arjunkapoor) on Mar 27, 2019 at 5:32am PDT 2. When Arjun And Varun Trolled Each Other On Koffee With Karan 'Koffee With Karan 6' was undoubtedly the most happening season of all time. While Arjun and Varun came seperately this year, they once appeared together and rocked the episode like no one else. For instance, when Arjun threw shade on Varun. Varun: "I was consistent in my performance." Arjun: You were consistently bad." Or when Varun revealed, "You have no idea what roles we've played in acting school. I've played a dog and he's played my master. I've played a waiter and he's played a coconut seller." Twitter 3. Their Bromance On Twitter This one time they walked the ramp ahead of the release of 'Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya' and Arjun wrote on Twitter, "How can anyone stay angry with Badri? Walking like a baausss badristyle!!!" To which Varun replied "Arjun bhaiya tum hamara bahut good friend ho." Twitter 4. They Always Have Each Other's Back In one of the interviews, Varun said "I am very open to criticism. Usually, I take criticism from my friends, family, Karan Johar. When you act with a lot of people, there are very few who would like to criticise you but I have got a few, like Arjun (Kapoor) would criticise me when he gets a chance, which is very often." No matter how much they troll each other or their acting, Varun and Arjun always have each other's back. Twitter 5. His Savage Birthday Wish Since we are talking about his birthday, how can we not talk about his birthday post. From calling him a coolie, marketer to the child who refuses to grow up, Arjun's birthday wish looks like our regular conversation with our bros. We'll give you weird names, make fun but will ALWAYS wish and want the best for you. View this post on Instagram My Brother from another Mother... Humare Guruji, our #VDin3D the street dancer, the coolie, the marketer, the child who refuses to grow up... Happy Birthday @varundvn hope u lay the smack down on this coming year !!! Ps - This amazing double role image brought to u by @shanoosharmarahihai !!! A post shared by Arjun Kapoor (@arjunkapoor) on Apr 23, 2019 at 10:11pm PDT
  3. Wise people say "when one door closes, another opens. Success will come to you if you are brave enough to open the door and see what opportunities are waiting for you." This phrase may sure work in real life, but in the 'Conjuring' universe, if a door is closed...it's for a reason and you should really NOT OPEN the door and see what's inside. The recently released trailer of 'Annabelle Comes Home' is a haunting case study of the same. © Warner Bros. Looks like the Hollywood directors have no intention of letting us sleep in peace. If Jordan Peele's 'Us' starring Lupita N'yongo wasn't enough to haunt us and stop us from looking at the mirror, Warner Bros. made sure that you now look under your bed and inside your blanket as well before sleeping. The world's scariest doll is back in action and it only took her 2 and a half minutes to scare the sh*t out of us. © Warner Bros. The trailer begins with the Warrens bringing the Annabelle doll home, and storing her inside a protected glass in a room filled with haunted and possessed artefacts. Imagine living in a house where you have a room filled with objects that are cursed. While most of us would not want to even enter such a house, one girl was very excited to see what was inside the room and her curiosity made the whole family pay the price. Seriously, when someone asks you not to go into that room, do not go to that room! The girl not only lets Annabelle out but awakens other evil spirits locked inside as well. Annabelle targets the Warrens' daughter Judy and soon, turns her life and that of the Warrens into a living nightmare. People are clearly spooked out by the trailer, but I want to salute those brave people who are waiting for the movie to release already. 4. Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's latest release ‘Jagga Jasoos' has got decent reviews, and the actors have been doing a lot of interviews. AIB just released a podcast with Ranbir and it's one of the very few times you see Ranbir being so candid. But that doesn't stop the AIB guys from roasting him every now and then in the interview. 5. A couple of weeks ago, in his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his concern about wastage of food. Probably taking a cue from that, the NDA government is now looking to fix the portion sizes of the dishes served by star hotels and restaurants. Ram Vilas Paswan, minister of consumer affairs, food and public distribution, said, “If a person can eat only two prawns, why should he or she be served six? If a person eats two idlis, why serve four! It’s wastage of food and also money people pay for something that they don’t eat.” © Twitter The ministry is now working on drafting a questionnaire for hotels and restaurants to explain what dish sizes they should serve to a customer. While talking to Hindustan Times, Paswan said, “They are the experts. They should tell us the maximum amount of a dish a person can eat. You go to a Chinese restaurant; they give you so much (of food). We are going to call them (stakeholders) for a meeting. The PM is concerned about food wastage and so we are going to issue instructions to these hotels (about the amount of food to be served).” He also further clarified that these instructions would be imposed mainly on “standard hotels” and not dhabas that “usually serve thalis.” Modi talked about the issue of food wastage at feasts and termed it as injustice to the poor in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme. © Twitter But is there really a need to regulate how much we’re eating? It varies from person to person and what if someone wants to eat more? Do they have to order two dishes? That would actually be more expensive for the customer. And I think everyone can agree that if we have leftover food, we don’t just waste it, we would like to get it packed and take it home to eat later. And if we’re eating at fancy restaurants or hotels, it is bound to be expensive and we surely would not like to waste our money by wasting the food. And, I doubt if the portion size goes down, the price would also go down. This will probably be more expensive for the customers and it’s not fair. Even though how the government is planning on enforcing these portion sizes, but Twitter has already got on the government's case: The government is in your kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, restaurant...its everywhere except in the parliament. https://t.co/QMC0wFLs9V — Kabir Taneja (@KabirTaneja) April 11, 2017 That's it. This is where the redline is. No amount of reforms can justify authoritarianism. https://t.co/tAscMwM1XT — Ajinkya (@ajinkya_koshti) April 11, 2017 Can I get extra if I show my Aadhar card? https://t.co/vYRoWmCldW — Ivan Mehta (@IndianIdle) April 11, 2017 Other ideas - elasticity of roomali roti - inner & outer diameter of medu wada - radius of poorihttps://t.co/6r7qIbgpIl — Ameya (@khabri_lal) April 11, 2017 There are presently a lot more important issues that the government should focus on right now rather than monitoring how much someone is eating.

  9. Trust Vishal Bhardwaj to get romance right. And by romance, we don’t mean the candy-floss most mainstream films sell in the name of passion. We mean raw, sensual, real, even lustful longing for someone that far beyond the rights and wrongs and social conduct. Last week, the trailer of his next film ‘Rangoon’ starring Saif Ali Khan, Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor released and the one thing that found a mention in every opinion was that love making scene between Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut. The makers just released the song ‘Yeh Ishq Hai’ and it features more of Kangana and Shahid’s lovemaking. The sexual tension is way too real! Those lingering gazes, the unapologetic passion and nudity – not one thing about it looks obscene or vulgar. The scene where they lay naked on top of each other, covered in sand, might just be the boldest love making scenes in recent times. And we must admit, it’s been shot spectacularly.
