OnePlus 5T has been shrouded with a series of leaks that revealed most of the smartphone's future in advance. Today, the Chinese company confirmed many of the features and specifications as the smartphone was officially announced. The smartphone has a radical change in design as the company introduced their first bezel-less smartphone. The handset will be available to buy in India on November 21 via a flash sale for Amazon Prime members. The smartphone will go on open sale from November 28.

The OnePlus 5T features a 3.5mm jack which is a relief for users with existing wires headphones. There are a few incremental upgrades from the OnePlus 5. The smartphone does not feature wireless charging but still has the popular Dash Charge feature. This the first smartphone by OnePlus that will have an 18:9 aspect ratio and a bezel-less design. Due to the design change, the home button with the fingerprint reader has been moved to the back of the phone.

The OnePlus 5T will feature a 6-inch full optic AMOLED screen and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC. The chipset has been clocked at up to 2.45 GHz and will have the 6GB/8GB  RAM configuration. Storage options remain the same as the One Plus 5 and will come in two options i.e. 64GB and 128 GB respectively. On the camera front, the handset has a 16-megapixel rear camera coupled with another 20-megapixel sensor, making it a dual camera setup at the back.  The two lenses also have optical image stabilisation now for better and clearer shots than the OnePlus 5.

These specifications are almost identical to the OnePlus 5; however, differences include a larger 6-inch display and facial recogn capabilities. The company calls their new unlocking system “Face Unlock”. The Chinese company claims Face Unlock will be able to unlock the OnePlus 5T I'm 0.4 seconds. The OnePlus 5T remains the same on the battery capacity departs it features a 3,300 mAh battery. 

Unlike the OnePlus 5, the 5T will have Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box which is also identical to the OnePlus 5 operating system and will receive an Oreo update in early 2018. The OnePlus 5T will retail in India for INR 32,999 for the 64GB Internal storage version and INR 37,999 for the 128GB storage variant.
