Despite the absence of Virat Kohli, the Indian cricket team has fared really well in the ongoing 2018 Asia Cup. 

The defending champions registered two successive wins over arch-rivals Pakistan and remain unbeaten on their way to the tournament's final. Though it has been a collective effort, Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni have proved pivotal in India's dominant run in the competition.

While Rohit has enjoyed a prolific run with 269 runs - including two fifties and a hundred - in the tournament, Dhoni, despite his batting woes, has been seen mentoring the Indian team in the Asia Cup. 

The duo was also seen combining on the ground to set up fielding positions and making bowling changes in crunch situations.

And, ahead of the all-important summit clash, the two cricketers once again came together, only this time, to make the day of a couple of fans. 

Following their nerve-racking tie against Afghanistan, Dhoni and Rohit took out some time from their busy schedule to make Indo-Pak superfans Bashir Chacha aka 'Chacha Chicago' and Sudhir Gautam happy.

Both Chacha Chicago and Sudhir Gautam have been staying in the same hotel as Team India. But, while they spotted the cricketers many times, their day became memorable after Rohit and Dhoni struck a pose with them.

While Rohit shared his photo with the duo on Instagram with a caption: "So much love for the sport in one picture", Sudhir also shared his pictures on Twitter.

In the absence of regular skipper Kohli, Rohit will be eager to help India in successfully defending their Asia Cup crown under his captaincy, when his side locks horns with Bangladesh in the final on 28th September. 

On the other hand, Dhoni will also be looking to silence his critics with an improved batting performance in the all-important summit clash today.
