Agreement with Chinese company to set up 1263MW LNG power plant in Jhang

LAHORE: An agreement was signed with a Chinese company on Friday to set up a 1263 MW LNG-fueled power plant in Jhang. OGRA recommends hiking petroleum prices by over Rs2 from Oct 1

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Friday sent a summary to the petroleum ministry recommending an increase in prices of petrol by Rs2.36 per litre and diesel by Rs2.20 effective October 1. The authority has recommended an increase of Rs19.33 per litre in kerosene oil prices. Last month, the government revised prices of petroleum products, increasing the price of petrol by Rs2 per litre. Prices for high-speed diesel, kerosene oil and light-speed diesel remain unchanged.
