Ever since she made her Bollywood debut with Manoj Bajpayee starrer The Family Man 2, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been the talk of the town. 

Initially, it was for her performance in the critically acclaimed web series & later for her much publicised & talked about divorce with her husband Naga Chaitanya. 

Months after her divorce with Naga Chaitanya, Samantha, recently, took to her Instagram stories and shared a picture of her ex-husband to celebrate the 3-year anniversary of their 2019 film Majili. The picture in question was from the same film.

Now, the actress once again took to her social media account and posted a sweet birthday wish for her ex-brother-in-law & Naga Chaitanya’s half-brother, Akhil Akkineni. 

Sharing a picture of Akhil in her Instagram stories, Samantha wrote, “Happy Birthday @AkkineniAkhil, Wishing you the very best this year. I hope & pray you are blessed with everything you are looking for God bless”.

While Akhil is yet to respond to her birthday wish, a few fans have varied reactions to it. 

One fan wrote, “Samantha wishes to Akhil Akkineni – Does she want to be close to the Akkineni family again?” 

Another tweeted, “Atlast Smt Samantha conveyed birthday wishes to Akhil in her Instagram. (Also conveyed wishes to Allu Arjun in Instagram). Anyhow, she has followed customery traditional protocal towards her ex Brother in law.” 

A third fan’s tweet read, “Such a pure soul kada … she walked out from the family… still she gave her blessing to akhil…. Sam nuvvu topu anthe”.

On the work front, Samantha was last seen in the chartbuster item song in the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise starring Allu Arjun & Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. 

She will next be seen in Tamil film Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal alongside Vijay Sethupathi & Nayanthara. And in big budget films like Shaakuntalam & Yashoda.
