Xiaomi in midst unveiling their next iteration of the Mi Mix on September 11 and rumours surrounding the new device suggests that it will have a near bezel-less display. The Mi Mix 2 is expected to have a 93% screen-to-body ratio and new renders leaked on Weibo suggest the same.

The renders of the Mi Mix 2 show that the handset will be thinner than the earlier device and will sport only one bezel at the bottom. This bezel at the bottom will also host the front-facing camera like the Mi Mix. 

Xiaomi has already declared that they will be utilising Samsung's OLED display for their next device and it cannot be ruled out that it might be implemented in the Mi Mix 2. The Xiaomi CEO has confirmed that the Mi Mix 2 has entered mass production and images of the retail packaging has also been shared by the company's executives on social media.

The Mi Mix 2 is expected to have a 6.2-inch Quad HD+ screen similar to the Galaxy Note 8 and will have a resolution of 2960X1440 pixels. There were previous rumours that the Mi Mix 2 may use the Snapdragon 836 SoC, however, Qualcomm later confirmed that the Mi Mix 2 will implement the Snapdragon 835 chipset. The device is also expected to have 6GB of RAM and 256 GB internal storage. 

The smartphone is also rumoured to have a dual camera setup much like the Mi A1 and will run on Android 7.0 Nougat. Xiaomi is known for outfitting their devices with massive batteries and the Mi Mix 2 may have a 4,400 mAh battery.
