What if one day you wake up and had one crore rupees? All of us would be over the moon, right? The only downside would be that you might have a heart attack because of happiness before you get to use that money though. 

Everyone in a tiny village in Arunachal Pradesh has become a crorepati overnight, and I'm very happy for them and not at all jealous. This was all thanks to the payment released by the government towards acquisition of their land for the Army. 

The land that was acquired as part of the Army's efforts to just basically up its presence in Arunachal Pradesh, especially the western part of the state, to counter Chinese aggression there. The village gave up the land in order for the Army to set up key location plan units of its Tawang Garrison five years ago.

And now, they have come through!

To compensate for the acquisition of a little over 200 acres of land, the ministry of defence has released cheques worth â¹40.8 crore to 31 families of Bomja village. One of the families received Rs 6.73 crore for giving up the largest chunk of land and another family was compensated with â¹2.45 crore. The rest of the 29 households received â¹1.09 crore each. 

But wait there's more! This particular village has now reached the status of the richest village in the whole country. Well, obviously, they received almost 41 crore bucks, but what's better is that Bomja might be the richest village in Asia as well. But, it's all reports right now and an official said that nothing can be said with certainty right now.

Thanking defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the Chief Minister also added that more such compensation in lieu of land acquisition by the Indian Army is under process by the central government.
