After months of incompetent and disappointing results, these testing times for Arsene Wenger have now reached a boiling point following Arsenal's shambolic loss in the Champions League, Round of 16 clash on 8th March.

The Premier League giants crashed out of Europe's biggest club tournament with a humiliating 10-2 (on aggregate) drubbing at the hands of a ruthless Bayern Munich at the Emirates stadium. It's the seventh year in a row that the Gunners have been knocked out at this stage in the tournament.

Amongst those exits, Bayern have accounted for three and Arsenal, to put it bluntly, must be sick of the sight of them. The 10-2 scoreline (on aggregate) is not just a defeat; it is sheer embarrassment on a stage where there is no hiding for Wenger and his compatriots.

It was Arsenal's heaviest defeat at the Emirates since it opened for business in 2006 and the worst result, over two legs, for any English club at this level - and perhaps the most demoralising part for Arsenal fans is that it did not even seem like a surprise.
