If You've Ever Wanted A Red iPhone 8 Or 8 Plus, Your Wait Might End This Week
Apple may be refreshing the current iPhone 8 and 8 Plus lineup by launching the red colour variants for the two devices. Last year, Apple launched the (Product) Red version of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, that was an effort to raise awareness and funds to help eradicate HIV/AIDS in Africa.

Macrumors obtained a Virgin Mobile memo that claims Apple might repeat the same effort with the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. The memo claimed that the (Product) Red versions of the 8 and 8 Plus will be announced soon, maybe as early as 9th April. The memo has not detailed any information about an iPhone X (PRODUCT) Red edition and does not specify the availability or the launch price.
Apple has already raised over $160 million in funds for the initiative and is expected to add more if this rumour turns out to be true. Last year, iPod and iPad models also got the red colour treatment to contribute more funds towards the long-standing partnership between Apple and (RED). Product Red was founded by U2 frontman Bono and ONE Campaign activist Bobby Shriver in 2006. The brand has been actively combating HIV/AIDS in eight African countries i.e. Kenya, Ghana, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Lesotho and Zambia.
