The holy month of Ramadan is in full swing and it is a wonderful time to spread positivity and good vibes. With Ramadan comes the feast of 'Iftar' which is all about sharing food and caring with the people you love. The Sikh community in Dubai, which has been hosting 'Iftar' every year at the Guru Nanak Darbar, did the same this year as well, but with a beautiful twist. The community brought together people from all faiths to celebrate a grand and a wonderful inter-faith, multi-cultural 'Iftar'.

The event was organised by the Sikh officials and also saw the members of the Christian, Baha'i and Hindu community and was graced by the minister of environment and climate change. Speaking to Khaleej Times, he expressed his happiness. "I am very thankful to the Gurudwara for arranging this wonderful and diverse Iftar. It is an honour to have such vibrant communities here in Dubai, especially an establishment that remembers the needs and requirements of all people. With events like this, we are truly celebrating the spirit of Ramadan, which is the month of working together as human beings and coming together as communities.”

Dubai's Gurudwara has been hosting Iftar get-together every year since 2013 & has welcomed not only Muslims & Sikhs but also members of other faiths. It is heart warming to witness happy situations like these, which make you believe that humanity is still very much alive in this world.
