The ongoing rift between Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Rising Pune Supergiant onwers has been the talk of the town. Whether it's the change in captaincy or launching a scathing attack against Dhoni on social media, it's pretty obvious that all is not really well in the Pune camp.

Days after Harsh Goenka - brother Pune owner Sanjeev Goenka - shared an anti-Dhoni tweet where he praised Steve Smith and claimed he overshadows the former captain, the better half of Dhoni, Sakshi, also got involved to aid her husband. She took to Instagram and shared two posts that inadvertently took a dig at the Goenkas.

But, while his wife was busy fighting his war, Dhoni decided to take matters in his own hands. The Jharkhand cricketer turned into a shrewd tactician as he carefully devised a plan to exact revenge.

After being compared with Smith, Dhoni decided to use the Australian captain to get back to the owners of his franchise. Ahead of their third match against Delhi Daredevils, Dhoni invited Smith for dinner in a Pune hotel.

Following David Warner's sporty gesture to return the shoe of an Indian bowler in an IPL clash earlier, Smith looked at Dhoni's invitation as an opportunity to improve the cricket relations between India and Australia. But, little did he know, what his predecessor had planned for him.

For a man whose love for butter chicken is now known to fans across the globe, it was only fitting for Smith to see Dhoni order his favourite Indian dish for the two cricketers. But, what Smith didn't realise was the capabilities of a spicy butter chicken and it's effects on an alien stomach that is not really used to it.

On one hand where Dhoni satisfied his food cravings with a bulk of its intake, Smith was left feeling the heat of the red-hot butter chicken. However, this wasn't really the end of it.

Smith felt the true effects of Dhoni's favourite dish next morning when all he could manage to pull was the toilet paper. The butter chicken took such a toll on the Australian batting sensation that he was eventually ruled out of the match due to bad stomach.
