میں چاہنے والوں کو مخاطب نہیں کرتا
اور ترک تعلق کی میں وضاحت نہیں کرتا
میں اپنی جفاؤں پہ نادم نہیں ہوتا
میں اپنی وفاؤں کی تجارت نہیں کرتا

خوشبو کسی تشہیر محتاج نہیں ہوتی
سچا ہوں مگر اپنی وکالت نہیں کرتا

احساس کی سولی پہ لٹک جاتا ہوں اکثر
میں جبر مسلسل کی شکائیت نہیں کرتا
میں عظمت انسان کا قائل تو ہوں محسن
لیکن کبھی بندوں کی میں عبادت نہیں کرتا
