 سوچوں کے گھنے جنگل
یادوں کی گھٹائیں ہیں

کس طرح سے ہم بچھڑے
غمزدہ سی راہیں ہیں

زیست اب تو سسکتی ہے
گمشدہ سی راہیں ہیں

چھائی ہے خزاں رُت سی
اِن سلگتی سی آنکھوں میں

بے ثمر سی زندگی یہ
بے ثمر دُعائیں ہیں

دل ہے کہ بگھلتا ہے
خاموش سی آہیں ہیں
