    Rashmika Mandanna, who is currently one of the most popular actresses of South Indian cinema, is on cloud nine after the super success of Pushpa co-starring Allu Arjun. She made her acting debut with the hit Kannada film Kirik Party in 2016 and went on to appear in several commercially successful projects including Anjani Putra,  Geetha Govindam, Sarileru Neekevvaru among others.

    Along with the success, she also had her share of controversies as well. In 2017, Rashmika's name got embroiled in a controversy when she called KGF star Yash 'showoff'. Yes, you read that right! During an interview, Rashmika was asked, "Who, according to you, is the Mr. Showoff in the Kannada film industry?"
    "Yash," she replied, and admirers of the KGF actor quickly rushed to social media to express their displeasure with the actress. After getting trolled, Rashmika shared a lengthy Facebook post regarding the situation. The actress had stated that she is "extremely unhappy and disturbed by this sudden turn of events." She also stated that the interview was shot even before her first film was released.

    The statement read, "I have no disrespect towards Yash Sir or anyone. In fact, on many occasions, I have expressed my admiration towards Yash Sir, his talent and how he has inspired everyone, including myself. The media has sadly ignored that I mentioned Santhu Straight Forward as the movie that I enjoyed most at that time. When you edit and take just two lines from the most non-serious part of the show and give it a spin... the context is lost. That is really sad".
    She further apologised to the people who got hurt and added, "I am sorry if I have hurt any of your feelings. I did not intend to. My upbringing will never let me do that".

    Well, everything is in the past now. Rashika is currently on a professional high with several interesting projects in her kitty. On the South front, she will be seen in Pushpa 2 and Aadavaallu Meeku Johaarlu. Also, the actress is all set to conquer Bollywood as well with films like Mission Majnu with Sidharth Malhotra and Goodbye co-starring Amitabh Bachchan.

    Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer Pushpa became the biggest success of 2021 beating Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi and Spider-Man: No Way Home. The pan-India film, directed by Sukumar, even performed exceptionally well in the Hindi belts. The makers have already started work on Pushpa 2 which will reportedly conclude the series. While the trend of releasing films in multiple parts started with S.S. Rajamouli's Baahubali, it is growing down South once again after Pushpa.

    Besides Baahubali and Pushpa series, KGF is another film that has two parts. While the first part was released in 2018, KGF 2 is slated to hit the theatres in April this year. 
    Now, the latest buzz suggests that the makers of Prabhas' upcoming film Salaar too are thinking about going the Baahubali and Pushpa way. According to reports, the director of Salaar, Prashanth Neel, is thinking about releasing the action thriller in two parts. The first instalment of the film will be released on April 14, 2022, while work on the second instalment is expected to begin next year.

    Salaar, according to Prasanth Neel, has the potential to be split into two halves. If the first part provides an introduction to the universe of Salaar, the second half will disclose its whole world. However, Prabhas and the makers are yet to react to the ongoing rumours and an announcement can be expected soon.
    For the unversed, Salaar features Shruti Haasan opposite Prabhas. Recently, on the occasion of her 36th birthday, the Saaho star released her first look poster from the film, making her fans happy. The poster reveals that she plays the role of Aadya. In the poster, she appears to be immersed in her thoughts, and her face has a peacefulness to it.

    After the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Indian squad ahead of the three-match ODI series against the touring West Indies side, team vice-captain KL Rahul was made unavailable for the first match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 
    In his absence, the wicket-keeper of the Men in Blue, Rishabh Pant has been announced as the new deputy in-command, albeit for just one match. From the second ODI onwards, which is also scheduled to take place at the same venue, Rahul will return to his duties.
    View this post on InstagramAs Pant makes his ascension to the role of vice-captain, former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s press conference from 2017 has reemerged on the internet in which ‘Captain Cool’ has commented about how the wicket-keeper of the squad is always the vice-captain of the team, even if the cricket board doesn’t announce it officially.
    According to Dhoni, the responsibilities of setting up the field during the match is often given to the wicket-keeper and it is he who needs to make the necessary changes while taking into consideration the inputs from his captain.

    While Pant’s consideration to be a part of the leadership group in limited-overs cricket may be short-lived, the discussions around him being made the next Team India captain in Test cricket continue to grow stronger.  
    In the eyes of the fans and multiple cricket experts, at the moment, the white-ball captain of the team, Rohit Sharma is leading the race to being crowned the leader in the longest format of the game as well. However, Pant’s chances of making it are not that far-fetched either.

Therefore, it is equally important for the BCCI to start nurturing the younger players like the 24-year old Pant who is expected to become the face of Indian cricket once names like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma take a backseat. 
    In terms of getting experience as a leader, Rishabh Pant did surprisingly well as the skipper of the Delhi Capitals franchise during the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League and took his team to the playoffs while being the number one seed based on the points table. With the 2022 season expected to start on March 27, Pant will return in his role as the captain and once again try to bring the trophy to Delhi.

    Over the last 4-5 years, the speed bowling of the Indian cricket squad has seen significant development. Still, certain seamers, like Jaydev Unadkat, continue to wait for opportunities. Unadkat was sad when he saw the Indian cricket team give many debuts to youngsters during their tour of Australia last year. He couldn't be among those rookies.
    Despite the absence of Virat Kohli, India's tour to Australia in the 2020-21 season was one of the most entertaining in the sport's history, with the team going on to win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy while shattering the ‘Gabba Pride’ and defeating Tim Paine’s men in Brisbane.

    Unadkat got a message of condolence from veteran India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin as he lamented his bad luck in witnessing Mohammed Siraj, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, and others break into the playing XI.
    In a conversation with ESPNcricinfo, Unadkat relived the time he received a text message from Ravichandran Ashwin with words of sympathy and motivation and the advice to continue to walk on the path that the pacer had chosen for his time to shine is around the corner.

    “I feel for you and the way you have performed in the last [Ranji] season. But be right where you are in terms of your game and your mindset. Your time will come," the off-spinner had written to Unadkat on January 2, 2022.
    The last time Unadkat was seen in the Blue Indian cricket team jersey was all the way back in March 2018 in a T20I match against Bangladesh. Over the course of his professional career, he has featured in just 1 Test, 7 ODIs and 10 T20Is.

    Such numbers are disappointing to see especially because he had been dominating the domestic circuit before the COVID-19 pandemic struck. During the 2019-20 season of the Ranji Trophy, Unadkat was the leading wicket-taker of the entire tournament with 67 scalps in 10 matches.
    However, fearing the potential impact of the pandemic, the Indian cricket board decided to cancel the previous Ranji season and not a lot of red-ball matches were played in the domestic circuit.

    Furthermore, an expensive IPL contract with Rajasthan Royals ahead of the 2021 season of the Indian Premier League and a rather expensive year with the ball turned Unadkat into a social media joke. Throughout the tournament, the cricketer was trolled and mocked. He played 6 matches and picked just 4 wickets and not a single soul spoke about his brilliance in Ranji.
    Now, with a couple of weeks left for the IPL mega auction 2022, the fans have realised the kind of impact IPL has been having in the process of selecting players for international tours based on their performance during the T20 league. As a result, they feel sorry for the 30-year old:
    Ipl can be the best & at the same time the worst platform for judging talents. Dinda, Unadkat, Faiz Fazal, Sheldon Jackson, all have had amazing domestic careers & are no less than legends there, but have had poor or less IPL outings. They all deserved opportunities in the ICT

    It is a known fact that Hrithik was earlier married to Sussanne Khan and they are parents to two sons, Hrehaan and Hridaan. While Sussanne is rumoured to be dating actor Arslan Goni, Hrithik too seems to be in a happy space now. "That's what maturity is all about right? They respect each other, and will continue to co-parent, while moving on with their personal lives," the source further added. 
    However, both Hrithik and Saba are yet to confirm that they are together. 
    For the unversed, Saba made her Bollywood debut in 2011 opposite Saqib Saleem in Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge.
