Naga Chaitanya is in demand after the success of his last two releases Love Story and Bangarraju. As per the latest buzz, the actor is now all set to try his luck in the digital space. Reportedly, Chay is speculated to make his OTT debut with a thriller web series in which he'll be seen in a never-seen-before avatar.

According to a BollywoodLife report, Naga Chaitanya's rumoured OTT debut will have a mysterious plot with plenty of twists and turns. The suspense-filled thriller series, which will premiere on Amazon Prime Video, is speculated to be helmed by Vikram Kumar, who directed the Indian adaptation of 24 series starring Anil Kapoor.

As per the ongoing buzz, Amazon Prime has allotted a huge budget to make sure that the actor's debut into the OTT world looks exceptionally flawless.
For the unversed, Vikram is directing Chay's upcoming film Thank You. While shooting for the Telugu film, Vikram reportedly pitched the show's idea to the South star who liked the filmmaker's concept and vision. The actor seemed eager to get things started, and if everything goes according to the plan, the web series might begin once the duo wraps up Thank You shoot.

Inside talks suggest that Naga Chaitanya will be seen playing the multi-layered role of a journalist in the series for which he is also working on his physical appearance. Priya Bhavani Shankar has reportedly been cast as the female lead in the series, which is slated to have three seasons with each season having eight to ten episodes.
While the details sound intriguing, an official announcement is still awaited from the makers.
Interestingly, Naga Chaitanya's ex-wife and actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu too made her digital debut with Amazon Prime Video's hit series The Family Man 2 last year. She won rave reviews for playing the antagonist Raji in the series headlined by Manoj Bajpayee.

The former Indian captain Virat Kohli’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma has advocated the decision to make Rohit Sharma the next Test cricket captain for the Men in Blue. However, the reason isn’t as obvious as it seems.
The 56-year old player-turned coach says that while the Hitman has been an exceptional player and a great leader of the game, the biggest factor working in his favour to become the skipper in all three formats is the lack of candidates that are good enough to butt heads against him.
    View this post on Instagram
According to the former Ranji Trophy player, there is nobody in the entire Indian cricket roster, other than Rohit Sharma (and Virat Kohli), who has a guaranteed spot in the Playing XI in all three formats and therefore, it becomes significantly easier for him to be crowned the new leader.
The early ouster from the T20 World Cup 2021 fast-forwarded Virat Kohli’s decision to step down as the skipper in the shortest format of the game, which led to Sharma replacing him. While Kohli had no intention of giving up his top-man position in ODIs, the BCCI were against having two white-ball captains and therefore sacked Kohli and made Sharma the full-time limited-overs captain.
    View this post on Instagram
It was at this time at the Indian cricket board also decided to remove the struggling Ajinkya Rahane as the vice-captain of red-ball cricket for the team and made the Hitman the deputy in-command. However, following the shameful 2-1 defeat against a rebuilding South African side, Kohli decided to give up his Test captaincy as well.
While at the moment, the throne to the Test squad in India remains unattained, the possible candidates include names like KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah and of course Rohit Sharma.
    View this post on Instagram
Among the first three candidates, Rahul has recently displayed poor decision-making and Pant is deemed to be not experienced enough to lead a red-ball squad. As far as Bumrah is concerned, he is just a pacer - which isn’t enough to make him captain, according to the former Indian head coach, Ravi Shastri.
Having said that, the BCCI are in no rush to make this decision as the next Test series is scheduled to take place in the last week of February when the Sri Lankan side will be touring India for two Tests and three T20Is.
    View this post on Instagram
The more pressing matter at the moment is the three-match ODI series against the touring West Indies side which begins on 6th February. This will be for the first time since March 2021 that both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be playing in a 50-over match as Men in Blue.

The topic of nepotism has been an ongoing debate in the industry as celebs like Kangana Ranaut have pointed out that the industry insiders aren’t too kind to people who don’t have filmy background or connections. Bobby Deol, however, has a very different point of view as he feels that it’s not a star kid’s fault that he is born in a filmy family and he being an insider didn’t get any acceptance or validation from the audience for years.
    View this post on Instagram
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Bobby shared his views on nepotism and said, “I think it exists in every profession, not just movie business. It has been there always. I think it is not the fault of the kids who grew up in a family who were in the same business. They did not choose to be born in the family. Then every parent's duty is to bring their child up in the right way, educate them and then when a profession they choose, support them. Sometimes, a doctor’s son would want to be a doctor, or his father would want him to be a doctor, similarly an actor’s son might want to be an actor. I feel struggles and opportunities come equally to everyone. Yes, definitely, if you are from the movie business, the first movie is easier to get but that doesn’t mean that the one movie would make your career. No. Eventually, it is your work which will speak for you and if you are good, people will want to work with you and that’s how my career was built."
    View this post on Instagram
He continued, "I was a Deol when I was launched but then I had my own identity as Bobby. I guess even though I am an insider, I am still struggling. I am not saying it is easier or not easier for an insider or outsider, I think it is just that the population is so large and people are trying different professions that it is difficult to get many opportunities. It is also luck that comes into factor. Not everyone gets a chance to play cricket."
We completely agree with his viewpoints as it’s more to do with the audience accepting the actor and it doesn’t matter if he or she has connections in the industry or not.
On the professional front, Bobby was appreciated for his character in Prakash Jha’s OTT debut Aashram. The MX Original Series exposes the dark reality of the world of self-made godmen. Bobby shed his urban guard and picked up a weirdly perfect accent that seemingly fits a dhongi baba. He completely transformed himself into a con godman by lifting all the mannerisms of one, and his efforts are for the world to see.

It was his acting skills that made people appreciate him and not his filmy family tag.

The BCCI has confirmed the sites for the 15th season of the cash-rich competition, which is set to begin on March 27. The BCCI executives, the IPL governing council, and the franchise owners met and decided on four locations for the tournament. The IPL 2022 season will feature a 10-team tournament with a total of 74 matches.
Wankhede, Brabourne, and the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai — as well as Pune — were nominated as potential locations. The BCCI intends to conduct the event in Maharashtra, with the opening game likely to take place in Mumbai, according to preliminary conversations. However, because of its near proximity to Mumbai, Pune was also considered.

    — Mufaddal Vohra (@mufaddal_vohra) January 29, 2022
Given the severity of the Covid instances in Mumbai, the BCCI has also retained South Africa as a feasible alternative. Following a review of the situation in Mumbai, a final decision on the locations will be made by February 20.
The panel also explored the prospect of the UAE hosting the IPL in 2022. In order to reduce total expenses, franchise owners selected the UAE over South Africa. However, because of the burden of dew, the BCCI has ruled out the UAE as a viable alternative.
In 2020 and 2021, the UAE successfully hosted two IPL seasons in a row. The dew factor, on the other hand, had a significant influence on the games' outcomes. The same thing happened in the T20 World Cup, which was also held in the Middle East.

One of the main reasons for picking Maharashtra was because schools were required to resume on January 24, giving the BCCI some reason to be optimistic about the chances of having India’s biggest T20 tournament in its homeland.
However, this also means that Mumbai Indians, the team that plays and practices in these three grounds and are well-versed with the pitch conditions there, will have a massive advantage as compared to the rest of the squads.
Furthermore, if the doors are opened to the fans, a lopsided atmosphere will be experienced in favour of the MI team in every single match. Fans of the rest of the 9 IPL teams were worried about this idea and called out the Indian cricket board for taking such a biased decision:
Why giving Advantage to Mi? https://t.co/8gVGql5xYq

    — Pulkit (@Oletrain) January 29, 2022The Maharashtra Cricket Association has already begun discussions with the IPL 2022 organisers, with former president Sharad Pawar playing a significant role. The mega auction for the IPL 2022 season will take place in Bengaluru on February 12-13, as planned.

The source added, "Palak too was a tad bit embarrassed seeing herself as the video went viral. And after their viral spotting Palak and Ibrahim haven't contacted each other. Well, it will be too soon to say it's over as they were just friends but definitely had a liking for each other. But for now, they have maintained their distance".

Two days after her viral spotting with Ibrahim, Palak was snapped outside a coffee shop with a friend. Well, she declined to pose for the paps, stating that she had not worn a mask. Here's the clip:

Former India batsman Sanjay Manjrekar named MS Dhoni as one of the country's greatest captains, claiming that his record in ICC events is unmistakable. While Virat Kohli is a good player in his own right, Manjrekar believes that Kapil Dev, Sourav Ganguly, and Sunil Gavaskar were better captains and game leaders.
Explaining his criterion for judging how good or bad a player’s captaincy is or was, the former batter said that he determined it based on “international cricket and also on ICC events”. He further added that these two are the places where a man’s leadership and experience are truly tested and put on the line. Based on his analysis, MS Dhoni passed the mark with flying colours.
    View this post on Instagram
Manjrekar praised Kohli for his never-say-die mentality, saying that he led by example and that there are many things to like about him and the way he does business.
A player of 37 international Tests under his belt, Manjrekar says that he respects Virat Kohli for being able to lead by example during his tenure as the captain. He even gave the example of the Wanderers Test match where Kohli refused to quit even though the chances of winning were completely slammed and shattered into pieces.
    View this post on Instagram
“He (Kohli) said that we want to win this despite a pitch that could have killed somebody. That kept India’s morale high. That is what you get with Virat Kohli, the never-say-die attitude,” added Manjrekar in a conversation with CNN-News18.
Comparing Kohli to Kapil, Dhoni, and Ganguly, the former India batsman went on to say that it would be unjust not to include Dhoni because of his ICC record, while the other two took up the captaincy at a crucial moment in Indian cricket.

It would be unjust to leave Dhoni out of any conversation about all-time greats. At a period when there was a global inferiority complex, Kapil Dev stood out. After the match-fixing episode, Saurav Ganguly led India to a few international victories. Sunil Gavaskar is also a legendary athlete and leader. When one lives in a time when there are several platforms, the hype is amplified.
However, Indian cricket did not begin only a decade ago, it has been prevalent in the world for quite some time. These are men who, according to Manjrekar, have been greater captains than Virat Kohli, who has excelled in his own right.
