Bollywood controversies are way too murkier than one can fathom and due to great PR strategies in place, we usually never get to see the dark side of the cinema world or it’s rare that we get to read about celebrity spats.

However, that doesn’t mean that miscommunications or arguments don’t happen even between the most well-behaved celebrities.

Back when the Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol starrer Aisha was released, there was a buzz about the actor not being okay with the Kapoors, who were also the producers of the film.

In an interview once, Abhay Deol spoke about how his film was supposed to be inspired by a Jane Austen novel but ended up becoming a 2-hour fashion show.
He was apparently not happy with his role and the way the movie has turned out to be. The rumours of him being miffed were further fuelled when he was mostly absent from the film promotional activities, claiming he was filming ZNMD at that time.

In an interview with TOI, he said “I would like to say today that I will never ever be part of a film like Aisha in my lifetime. It’s not the kind of film I’d like to do."

His co-star Sonam was upset at the remark and soon, a cold war began.
When the father-duo came on Koffee With Karan in season 4, Anil Kapoor went on to say “Abhay Deol needs help”. On Karan asking in what way, he replied "in every way! There's something terribly wrong with the guy."

The war of words further escalated when Abhay Deol made a comment on the statement.

“He's right about me doing "all the wrong things". Aisha is the biggest proof of that. And yes I do "need help". Help not getting affected by people like him. He's a waste of my time."
According to IBT Times, Abhay was also upset over the fact that the producers paid more attention to spending money on Sonam’s wardrobe over other aspects of the film.
While the animosity was loud and clear post this film, fans were surprised when Abhay and Sonam worked together in Raanjhana. Guess that’s called being mature and professional.

Only a few movies are the whole package in themselves. Good acting, befitting casting, gripping or entertaining storyline and brilliant music.
However, there are some movies that have nothing in place but still hit the right chords (excuse the pun) with their exceptional music.

Some of the worst movies in Bollywood have given us the most unforgettable songs that we still listen to on loop after all these years. These are films that were saved just because of the good music they had.

Here are seven such really bad Bollywood movies that are remembered only for their amazing soundtrack:

    Disclaimer: Major musical nostalgia ahead!
    1. Delhi 6
People were literally offended and felt betrayed when ‘Masakali 2.0’ dropped. That’s the kind of impact the music of this film had on fans.
    2. Cocktail
While the plot of this movie gave us a headache, the soulful soundtrack and hard-hitting songs were the ultimate relief and gave us a musical hangover for years.
    3. Anjaana AnjaaniWe all jammed to the songs of Anjaana Anjaani although the movie sucked big time. We sang ‘Tumse Hi Tumse’ for our crush and ‘Tujhe Bhula Diya’ when they broke our hearts.
    4. Bluffmaster
Those who watched this movie still aren’t sure what happened in it. However, no soul would resist tapping their feet if a song from it is played even today (yes we remember the hook steps too).
    5. Kareeb
It’s physically impossible for the 90s kids to recall this film and not hum the tunes of ‘Chura Na Dil Mera’ or ‘Chori Chori Jab Nazare Mili’.
    6. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
Composed by Pritam, the soundtrack of this movie is unmatched. ‘Channa Mereya’ and the title track are still on our playlist.
    7. Raaz Series
Barring the first part of the series, which can still give us nightmares, Raaz 2 and Raaz 3 and Raaz Reboot were bearable to watch just because of their hauntingly beautiful songs.

The latest episode of Twinkle Khanna’s chat show The Icons on Tweak India featured Jackie Shroff . During the chat, Jackie talked about his father who was an astrologer.
He revealed that he studied only till the 11th standard and told his father one day that he can’t continue further. Jackie's father casually told him that he will become an actor and he did.
Further talking about his father’s predictions, Jackie recalled the heart-breaking incident when his elder brother passed away. Jackie stated that his father had told his elder brother to not go to work that day as something bad would happen.

The actor was 10 at that time and his elder brother was 17. He added that his brother used to work at Century Mill and didn’t go to work but later that day he tried to save someone from drowning in the sea despite not knowing how to swim and drowned himself.

He said, “My brother died when I was 10. He was 17. He tried to save somebody. He drowned. That’s the way life is, we’ve all seen this. Dil mein reh jaate hain, photo reh jaate hain (They’re alive in our hearts and in photos).”

Elaborating further he said, “Bhai ko bola tha, ‘aaj kharab din hai, mat jaana bahar’ (He told my brother it’s a bad day and that he shouldn’t leave the house). He used to work at Century Mills. He was a mill hand. He said, ‘Don’t go to your mill today.’ And he didn’t go. But he went down to save somebody in the sea, and drowned, without knowing how to swim.”

He also revealed how his father was close to the Ambanis and predicted Dhirubhai Ambani’s success, “When he said, it’s a bad day, my brother died. He told me that I’d become an actor, I have become an actor. He was close to Natubhai Ambani and Kokilaben Ambani and had told her, ‘your husband will be a big man one day’. Dhirubhai used to say, “gandho thayo che (he has gone mad).”

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are among the most iconic on-screen couples of Bollywood who have delivered several hits including Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, and Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham among others together. They were last seen romancing each other in Rohit Shetty's 2015 film Dilwale, also starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. While the movie received mixed response from critics and fans, SRK and Kajol's on-screen chemistry was loved by everyone.

In Dilwale, the duo featured in the song Gerua which became the love anthem of the year. But, did you know that SRK escaped a near fatal accident while shooting for the song and Kajol saved his life? Yes, you read that right!
Had Kajol not turned the superstar's saviour during the shoot, things could have proved fatal for him. In the making video of Gerua, the actress had shared the incident when Shah Rukh Khan could have had a bad fall from the cliff while rehearsing for the dance steps. However, she instantly caught the actor's arm and saved his life. Both of them then went up the hill and completed the shoot.
In the clip, even the Jab Tak Hai Jaan star too had acknowledged that he owes his life to her. Thanking Kajol in a funny way, he said, "I owe you my life, Meri ye zindagi ab tumhare naam ho chuki hai (My life is now yours)".
Watch the incident in the Gerua making video here:

Well, that moment indeed looked scary in the clip.
On the professional front, SRK was last seen in Aanand L Rai's Zero opposite Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. Upon release, the film received mixed response and turned out to be a flop. Since then, the superstar is on a break and is yet to officially announce his next film. However, he is currently shooting for Siddharth Anand's Pathan starring Deepika Padukone opposite him, while John Abraham will reportedly be seen as the antagonist.
On the other hand, Kajol won praises for her performance in Netflix film Tribhanga. She will next be seen in Revathy's upcoming directorial venture titled The Last Hurrah.

After a phenomenal second Test match against New Zealand at home, where Mayank Agarwal managed to score 150 and 62 in the first and second innings, respectively, the Bengaluru-lad seems to be extremely comfortable opening the batting order with his childhood friend KL Rahul in South Africa.
    View this post on Instagram
Unphased by the South African pacers, Agarwal made all the right decisions when it came to shot selections, not playing the wide deliveries, and letting the dangerous balls pass him by.
Indian cricket fans who watched the first session of the first Test in Gauteng can be absolutely certain that other than the one lucky break that he got thanks to Protea wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock dropping him on an outside edge, Agarwal looked well in control and in for a solid inning for himself.
A successful and confident Mayank Agarwal at the opening position also gives a lot of ammunition to Rohit Sharma haters, most of whom also happen to be Virat Kohli fans, to talk trash about the ‘Hitman’.
At the moment, the fans are simply going gaga over Agarwal’s patience, intelligence and aggression with which he is approaching certain deliveries in South Africa, while also taking some potshots at Sharma.

    — ꜱʜʀᴇʏᴀꜱ (@Shreyas7399846) December 26, 2021Currently recovering from his long-lasting hamstring injury at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, Sharma was unavailable for the three-Test matches of India’s tour of South Africa and that is how both Rahul and Agarwal got to share the opening batting partnership.
A couple of years ago, Rohit Sharma was not the number one pick for the Indian cricket team when it came to red-ball cricket. He was known to be extremely impatient and as someone who could only dominate in limited-overs cricket.
    Rohit Sharma in WTC 2019-2021:-

    Innings - 17
    Runs - 1030
    Average - 64.37

    • He is the Highest Run Scorer in WTC as an opener!

    • He is the 2nd Highest Run Scorer for Team India in the WTC!

However, ever since India’s 2020-21 tour of Australia, Sharma has proven the critics wrong, scored runs consistently and even became the highest scoring Indian batter in the longest format of the game in 2021, while only being second to England skipper Joe Root, who has been in phenomenal form.
If Sharma, Agarwal and Rahul, all continue to stay consistent, Kohli will once again be haunted by the problem of having too many good options for the opening spot and might end up affecting the performance of at least one of them.
