A day after the Indian Premier League final, a BCCI source revealed to The Times of India that Rahul Dravid will be taking over the position of the Indian Head Coach shortly after the T20 World Cup 2021 concludes.
Despite multiple reports coming in recent days that suggested that the former Indian skipper had politely declined the BCCI’s offer stating that he wanted to focus on improving the young cricketers of the country as the director of the National Cricket Academy, it can be confirmed that ‘The Wall’ is set to replace Ravi Shastri as the head of the coaching staff. Dravid’s tenure is scheduled to begin with New Zealand’s tour of India in the second half of November.

While the news of Dravid taking over command is exciting and has brought a big smile to the faces of the die-hard Indian cricket fans, most of them also remembered to honour and congratulate Shastri for having an exceptional tenure as the head coach of the Indian cricket team over the past four years.
I'm delighted to see Rahul Dravid as the Indian men's coach. But give @RaviShastriOfc credit for helping build a formidable side across all 3 formats. And the incredible fight backs at the Gabba and the Oval were on his watch!
    — Joy Bhattacharjya (@joybhattacharj) October 16, 2021Shastri is the greatest Indian coach. To win in Australia twice back to back, its a phenomenal achievement. And to win in England and Australia back to back? A dream for an Indian team fan of last few decades
    — SV (@swamiji75) October 16, 2021Absolutely! @RaviShastriOfc deserves lot of credit and t20 world cup win would be icing on the cake! Would be nice to also have Ravi back in commentary instead of likes of @kartikmurali and L.Siva!
    — Pranjal Shah (@pranjalshah22) October 16, 2021@RaviShastriOfc 's tenure as the coach has been an exceptional one. No doubt about it. But what I love the most about him is the way he takes every joke about him in his stride.
    — Hariprasad phalake (@Hari150503) October 16, 2021Agreed! Ravi Shastri did an amazing job! All the haters who had an issue with his “drinking problem” need to get a life. His personal life is exactly that - his personal life. I hope he returns as a commentator.
    — G Dhillon (@GDhillon211) October 16, 2021From having India top the ICC rankings in Test cricket for the fifth consecutive year to winning two consecutive red-ball series on Australian soil to break India’s dreaded record Down Under, Shastri’s time with the Men in Blue has only seen the progress graph go upwards.
When the fan base of a cricketing squad is as passionate as Indians are, it can be a bit difficult to be the person who is supposed to have answers to failures.
On numerous occasions, Shastri has not only been heavily criticised for his position in the Indian dressing room, but he has also fallen prey to multiple personal attacks about alcohol consumption and falling asleep during matches.

    — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) March 7, 2021
While his achievements as the head coach remain impressive, it is also his incredibly positive attitude and patience to endure such social media toxicity with a smiling face that feels like a cherry on top for the man that Ravi Shastri is.
There is still about a month left before Shastri has to step down from his position and ahead of him lies arguably the greatest opportunity to go out with a bang.
On 24th October 2021, his boys will begin their campaign to win the T20 World Cup 2021 and it will be the greatest farewell gift any coach would ever dream of.

Vicky Kaushal might just be a few movies old in the Bollywood industry, but it only took that handful of movies for him to prove his mettle, especially after the success of the critically acclaimed film - Uri: The Surgical Strike.
Seems like the actor is back with yet another movie that the audience was waiting for with bated breaths - Sardar Udham.
Tracing the heroic life of revolutionary Udham Singh in this film by Shoojit Sircar, fans were hooked ever since the poster release of the movie that saw Vicky Kaushal in a transformed avatar.

The movie was released today on an OTT platform and while the audience is still soaking in the intensity of this film and Vicky Kaushal’s acting, the actor opened up what he felt during the shoot of one particular scene in the movie where they capture the Jallianwala bagh massacre and he had to react to the tragedy and bloodshed.
He recalled, “Of course, I was prepared as an actor ki mujhe ye karna hai, aise karna hai (This is what I need to do and this is how I will do it), but it was still, so heart-wrenching and numbing as an individual. To be thrown into that reality, almost a reality, to imagine yourself in that space. I had to react to dead bodies and all that bloodshed and bloodbath.”
View this post on InstagramVicky Kaushal further added, “To then finish it, pack up and go back to the hotel room. Then, again come back (to the sets) the next day, do it all again. All that was physically exhausting and emotionally numbing.”
Considering how tragic the episode at the Jallianwala Bagh  really was, we could almost relate to how the actor must be feeling, recreating the massacre.

When asked how Vicky managed to go through with the scene without losing it or snapping out of his element, he replied, “By not thinking too much and just reacting to the atmosphere. I was just trying to be honest at that moment. I had to find my inner child, the 19-year-old in me and then respond to the situation.”
With only a few hours since the film has been dropped, people are already claiming it to be Vicky Kaushal’s best performance in his career, and if his previous works were anything to go by, we know they’re right.

Have you ever heard the parable of the Chinese Bamboo Tree that shows absolutely no sign of growth for almost five years and then shoots up to about 90 feet in just a month?
Well, the idea of sustainability is somewhat similar. You may not see the results of making sustainable choices immediately but in the long run, you would pat your back for the greater good you have contributed to, both for the planet and humanity.
With more fashion labels becoming environmentally conscious, right from the way they dispose of their industry wastes to the material and the packaging they use, slow fashion is fast picking up.
And thanks to brands like DaMENSCH for creating a community of eco-conscious consumers who understand the idea that having fewer clothes with a good lifespan is better than having more clothes that will only last a few seasons.
But, does slow fashion only mean subscribing to the idea — less is more? There definitely is more to it.
What Is Slow Fashion?Does it mean you buy fewer clothes?
Does it mean you buy clothes that are consciously made?
Does it mean you buy only high-quality clothes that will last long?
Or does it mean to not follow trends and focus on building a more capsule wardrobe?
Well, the answers to all of the questions above is yes.
Slow fashion is an approach to producing and consuming clothes that have been made taking into consideration all aspects of the supply chain and in doing so, aims to respect the environment and animals.
For DaMENSCH, slow and sustainable fashion means spending more time on the design process and making evergreen essential wear. Clothes that are meant for all-weather, all seasons, all-purpose use and at the same time do not compromise on the design aesthetic and style.
So far, so convincing, right? Well, we are just getting started.

    __ECOMPRODUCT__2634__
Not just that, DaMENSCH has also introduced the idea of sustainable Corn Husk packaging. The corn husk is transformed into packaging material by chemical pulping and paper making processes, to serve as a packaging material that’s environmentally friendly and recyclable.

The BottomlineThere you have it guys, the wardrobe essentials that encapsulate the idea of less is more and will make you radically cut down on the carbon footprints you leave behind.
Much like how growing a bamboo tree teaches us lessons about patience, perseverance, nurturing and growth, embracing sustainable fashion teaches us the same lessons of living consciously with a promise of leaving a better world for future generations.

Some movies really inspire you to simply pack your bags, get behind the wheels and take off to explore the beautiful landscapes and picturesque hill stations and mesmerising beaches.
However, not all movies can capture the ebbs and flows of travelling.
    © RSVP Movie
While Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara or Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani still remain among the most popular travel movies in Bollywood, there are some really underrated films that have managed to create the wanderlust magic but didn’t get the due credit.

    © Yash Raj Films
Here are five highly underrated road trip movies that should be talked about more often because they are just too good:

    1. Karwaan
Light, funny and heartwarming, Karwaan is a story of strangers coming together, becoming friends on a road trip from Bangalore to Kochi and all of which happens because of a misunderstanding.
It will leave you laughing hysterically (thank Irrfan Khan’s impeccable comic timing for it) while touching your heart towards the end.
    2. Piku
Piku is a movie that offers a lot. A father-daughter relationship, a cute unsaid love story and amidst all of this, it inspires you to pack your bags and go on a road trip from Delhi to Kolkata.
It also taps on petty arguments, annoying petrol pump stops and eating breaks that happen every time we take a road trip with our family.
    3. Bombay To Goa
GenZ doesn’t really know what real road comedy looks like because most of them haven’t watched this brilliantly funny road trip movie of yesteryear.
It stars the biggest actors of that time embarking on a journey on a bus.
Rest, ask your mom or dad and they will tell you why this is on our list. Chances are they would make you sit with them and watch together.
    4. Finding Fanny
This movie explores Goa like no one could have (mainly because our Goa plans never work out).
It takes us to the hidden gems, secluded beaches and scenic places that apparently got popular after the film was released. The offbeat storyline is surely a plus.
    5. Road, Movie
Probably the makers of this movie didn’t put too much thought into naming the film but it’s because they put all their efforts into making this a travel masterpiece.
Winner of several international film awards, this movie starring Abhay Doel is equally thought-provoking and feel-good.
Did I mention it stars Abhay Deo? That should be enough!

Chennai Super Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders to lift their fourth IPL championship on Friday.
While cricket is a team sport, Indian social media feels that there was one person who should be crowned the real champion - Cheteshwar Pujara.
The 33-year-old, who is known to be one of India’s leading Test cricket veterans, was mocked ahead of the 2021 season when he drafted himself for the auction for Rs 50 lakh. While all the teams passed on him, it was CSK who raised their placard and got the batter on board.
What do you make of the applause in the #IPLAuction room after CSK got Cheteshwar Pujara?pic.twitter.com/5oto85RCZt
    — CricketNext (@cricketnext) February 18, 2021
Even before the tournament had begun, fans, critics, and analysts knew that there was no way that Pujara would get to appear in the Playing XI in any of the CSK matches, no matter how many players got injured in their dressing room.
To be fair, that’s exactly what happened as well. Pujara did not get to play even a single ball throughout the first or second leg of the tournament in India and the UAE, respectively.
However, when the last delivery of the final match was bowled, he was as much an IPL champion as his skipper MS Dhoni was.
    View this post on Instagram
Obviously, it was a big deal in the Indian cricket community, especially because some of the biggest names in the industry, who are known for their hard-hitting, fast-paced batting styles such as Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Chris Gayle are yet to win their first IPL championship.
It did not take long for the trolls to realise that Pujara had won the trophy before any of the aforementioned names and the fun ride began all over the internet:
Chesteshwar Pujara will have a IPL champion medal before the likes of Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and so many good T20 players
    — Ankit Mishra (@editedidea) October 15, 2021Wait Pujara has more IPL titles than Kohli now pic.twitter.com/7TApEK9GOr
    — Inqiad Bin Ali (@AliInqiad) October 15, 2021@cheteshwar1 Pujara has won more IPL’s than Kohli #CSKvsKKR #IPLFinal #IPL2021
    — Varun (@UAPvarun) October 15, 2021So now even Pujara has an Ipl trophy but Kohli don't ,,,

    Kohli ;;; pic.twitter.com/0hOhP6XT1J
    — Arpit Patel (@Arpitpatel1999) October 15, 2021Who would have thought that Cheteshwar #Pujara would be an IPL champion before #ViratKohli !#IPL2021
    — Swami (@imswami) October 15, 2021It goes without saying that the T20 comparisons between Pujara with Kohli and de Villiers aren’t actually serious but the fact that even someone who is specifically infamous for not being able to score runs in a hurry is an IPL champion ahead of these RCB players, simply goes on to show the misfortune of the latter.

A couple of days ago, it was reported that Rahul Dravid had politely declined the BCCI when they had approached him to assume the position of the Indian Head Coach after Ravi Shastri’s tenure comes to an end following the T20 World Cup 2021.
The reason Dravid gave for not taking the job was that he was wanted to continue to focus on junior players and do his duties as the head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in his hometown of Bengaluru.
According to reports, Rahul Dravid, the Head of Cricket at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), has "politely" declined the BCCI's offer to replace Ravi Shastri as Team India's head coach. pic.twitter.com/OkYNGu8xxr
    — India Updates (@theindiaupdate) October 13, 2021
However, a new report by The Times of India has suggested that the former Indian skipper finally accepted the role during the Indian Premier League final between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday.

“Dravid has confirmed he will be the next head coach of the Indian team. He will be stepping down as the head of the NCA soon,” a top BCCI official told the publication following the IPL final in the United Arab Emirates.
    What a news#RahulDravid pic.twitter.com/YEkPTQIXsm
    — GANESH YADAV TAMMALALA (@Ganeshyadav1404) October 16, 2021
“He was re-appointed as the NCA head last month. But the BCCI needed a strong candidate to take Indian cricket forward. He has worked so hard to develop the next line of Indian cricketers. Even Mhambrey knows this next lot of players like the back of his hand. So, Ganguly and Shah thought it would be best if they could bring both of them on board. They will assume charge from the New Zealand series after the World Cup,” added the source.
The report also confirms that Dravid’s right-hand man, Paras Mhambrey is also being appointed as the next bowling coach for the Men in Blue.
According to the same report, Vikram Rathour is to continues as the batting coach, while there is no update on the replacement for R Sridar as the fielding coach.
There is no better replacement of Bharat Arun as bowling coach for #TeamIndia. Paras Mhambrey appointed as bowling coach with Rahul Dravid together is not a surprise. Dravid has preferred him to work with in all the India A & u19 assignments till date. He was there in SL as well. pic.twitter.com/rdGsnrLNFU
    — Kaushik (@_CricKaushik_) October 15, 2021
According to the information shared by the BCCI official, it is understood that Dravid has agreed to become the Indian head coach for a tenure of two years with an annual salary worth Rs 10 crore, which is close to what the current head coach Ravi Shastri is drawing from the Indian cricket board after his 20% raise back in 2019.

Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, who is known for a lot of things - his acting, his iconic roles, his dialogues, his oration and his success, is widely known for one more thing which is being a total tech-savvy veteran, who is more active on social media than we could ever be.
The man is not just active about keeping up with the latest news and giving his two cents on what’s happening around but also drops in from time to time to bestow wishes to his huge fan base, like he did recently on the occasion of Dussehra.
    © Twitter
The actor shared a heartwarming post to wish people a very happy Dussehra on the day of Vijayadashami, however, while doing so, he spelt ‘Dussehra’ incorrectly.

    And, obviously, people took notice.

While it may have irked the grammar nazi in quite a few people, one felt compelled to point out the mistake to Big B, as he wrote, “ ‘Sir!! In a scene in ‘Khuda Gawah’, you are seen saying ‘Peshawar Mujrim’ instead of ‘professional criminal’. You are the son of a great poet. ‘Dussehra’ is made of Dashanan’s necklace and not ‘Dussehra’. Forget commercial ads, at least be meticulous about spelling.”
    © Facebook
The fan not only pointed out the spelling error but also pointed a mistake Amitabh Bachchan had made in the old 1992 film ‘Khuda Gawah’ where Big B played the role of a ‘Badshah Khan’ who travels from Afghanistan to India to find the killer of Benazir's father so that he can impress her.

While the audience was left impressed, one person who definitely wasn’t was user Rajesh Kumar, who couldn’t help but ask Amitabh Bachchan to be careful of his spellings, considering he is the son of a great poet.
Now, one would think that being the star that he is, he would do either of the two things - ignore the fan’s comments among thousand of others or take offence for the personal attack.
However, Amitabh Bachchan did neither. In fact, his reply to the fan was something we couldn’t expect.
    © Facebook
He wrote, “Rajesh Kumar I am sorry for the wrong done and I will rectify it. Thank you for paying attention to me.” And that right there, made him even a bigger person than he already was.
His reply alone managed to garner over two thousand likes in less than an hour and we can imagine why. It was heartening to see that an actor as accomplished as him would still accept his mistakes with such grace and aspire to be better.
Big B  truly does know how to win hearts, even in his most embarrassing moments. Which is why, ‘Dear trolls, you gotta do better than that!
