    According to a report in Dainik Jagran, CSK pacer’s father Lokendra Singh Chahar has confirmed that his son had initially thought of surprising his girlfriend during their playoffs match but changed his mind after Dhoni’s insistence.Β

    Even this news created a rift on social media with people praising and accusing Dhoni of stealing credit in equal numbers. For some, it was a masterstroke as it would allow CSK’s new-ball bowler to concentrate solely on the match come the playoffs, while others slammed him for stealing the credit for everything under the sun.
