🧭 1. Introduction / تعارف

English: Prophet Lut (AS) was the nephew of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and was sent to the people of Sodom and Gomorrah.

اردو: حضرت لوط علیہ السلام حضرت ابراہیم علیہ السلام کے بھتیجے تھے اور قومِ سدوم کی طرف بھیجے گئے۔

Arabic: وَلُوطًا إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ

🏙 2. Sodom & Gomorrah / قومِ سدوم اور عمورہ

ENGLISH (Complete Tafsir Narrative)

Prophet Lut (AS) was sent by Allah to the people of Sodom and Gomorrah after migrating with Prophet Ibrahim (AS). This nation had fallen into extreme moral corruption, robbery, and unnatural immoral behavior. Prophet Lut (AS) spent many years calling them toward Allah, warning them about the consequences of their sins and reminding them that no nation before them had committed such crimes.

Despite his continuous efforts, they rejected him, mocked his message, and threatened to expel him from their land. They became arrogant to the point where they challenged him to bring Allah’s punishment if he was truthful.

When their corruption reached its peak, Allah sent three angels in the form of beautiful young men. They entered the city, and the daughter of Prophet Lut (AS) saw them first and informed her father. He immediately became worried because he knew the evil nature of his people.

Soon, the people rushed toward his house with evil intentions. Prophet Lut (AS) tried to protect his guests, closed the door, and repeatedly advised his people to fear Allah and abandon their immoral behavior. He even offered them lawful and pure alternatives, but they refused completely.

At that moment, the angels revealed their true identity and informed him that they were messengers of Allah. They told him that the decree of punishment had already been issued and that the city would be destroyed.

Allah commanded Prophet Lut (AS) to leave the city at night with his believers and not to look back. His wife remained behind because she supported the disbelievers.

At sunrise, Allah’s command was executed. The angel Jibreel (AS) lifted the entire city and turned it upside down, and stones of baked clay were rained upon them continuously until the entire nation of Sodom and Gomorrah was completely destroyed and erased from existence.

URDU (مکمل تفسیری بیان)

حضرت لوط علیہ السلام کو اللہ تعالیٰ نے قومِ سدوم اور عمورہ کی طرف بھیجا جو انتہائی گناہوں، ڈاکہ زنی اور بے حیائی میں مبتلا تھی۔ حضرت لوط علیہ السلام نے کئی سال تک انہیں اللہ کی طرف بلایا اور سمجھایا کہ تمہاری یہ برائیاں تم سے پہلے کسی قوم نے نہیں کیں۔

لیکن وہ نہ مانے، ان کا مذاق اڑایا اور یہاں تک کہ عذاب کا مطالبہ کرنے لگے۔ جب ان کی سرکشی حد سے بڑھ گئی تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے تین فرشتے انسانی شکل میں بھیجے۔ انہیں سب سے پہلے حضرت لوط علیہ السلام کی بیٹی نے دیکھا اور اپنے والد کو اطلاع دی۔

قوم کے لوگ بد نیتی کے ساتھ ان کے گھر کی طرف دوڑ پڑے۔ حضرت لوط علیہ السلام نے دروازہ بند کیا اور انہیں بار بار نصیحت کی کہ اللہ سے ڈرو اور برائی چھوڑ دو۔ انہوں نے انہیں حلال راستہ بھی دکھایا مگر وہ نہ مانے۔

اسی وقت فرشتوں نے حقیقت ظاہر کی کہ وہ اللہ کے بھیجے ہوئے فرشتے ہیں اور عذاب کا فیصلہ ہو چکا ہے۔ اللہ نے حضرت لوط علیہ السلام کو حکم دیا کہ رات کے وقت اپنے ایمان والوں کے ساتھ شہر سے نکل جائیں اور پیچھے مڑ کر نہ دیکھیں۔ ان کی بیوی کافروں کے ساتھ رہ گئی۔

صبح کے وقت اللہ کا عذاب آیا۔ جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے پوری بستی کو الٹ دیا اور ان پر پکی ہوئی مٹی کے پتھر برسائے گئے، یہاں تک کہ قومِ سدوم اور عمورہ کو مکمل طور پر تباہ کر دیا گیا۔

وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ أَتَأْتُونَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُم بِهَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِّنَ الْعَالَمِينَ

قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَىٰ رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ

فَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا جَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا حِجَارَةً مِّن سِجِّيلٍ مَّنضُودٍ

فَأَسْرِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِطْعٍ مِّنَ اللَّيْلِ وَلَا يَلْتَفِتْ مِنكُمْ أَحَدٌ
