Pakistan’s under-19 side is back in the Asia Cup as defending champion. The 2026 tournament runs from 5 to 14 November in Oman, with Pakistan drawn alongside the UAE, India and Nepal in Group A. Use this thread for fixture talk, scorecard observations and your picks for the players to watch.

The Pakistan Cricket Board lists the semi-finals for 12 November and the final for 14 November. Farhan Yousuf leads the side. The squad includes wicketkeeper-batters Abdul Qadir and Hamza Zahoor, pace options such as Ali Raza and Abdul Subhan, and left-arm spin options Mohammad Huzaifa and Niqab Shafiq.

Three things to watch

1. The first ten overs. An early wicket can change the batting plan. Watch whether Pakistan keep the scoreboard moving after losing a wicket or spend several overs rebuilding.
2. The middle overs. A spinner’s spell can be valuable even without wickets if it forces a batting side to take more risks later. Compare the singles taken before and during the spell.
3. The finish. When you post a score update, add the overs, wickets and match situation. A score of 140 means something different at 25 overs with two wickets down than it does at 40 overs with seven down.
