Monsoon currents are penetrating into southern and north eastern parts of the country on Tuesday. A westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country and likely to persist during the next few days the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said.

Rain and thunderstorm are expected at scattered places in Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, and Bahawalpur divisions. Downpour is expected at isolated places in Hyderabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, D.G. Khan, Hazara, Kohat, Zhob divisions, Islamabad, and Kashmir in the next 24 hours. Hot and humid weather is likely in other parts of the country, the PMD said.

Rain and thunderstorm occurred at scattered places in Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Sibbi, Quetta, Hazara divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir on Monday. The weather remained hot and humid in other parts of the country.
