MALAKAND AGENCY: The residence of a Geo News' reporter was made the target of gunfire here late Monday night, the outlet reported, adding that his family is safe.

Reporter Tahir Khan has alleged that Tehsil Counsellor Jamal Hussain, along with his accomplices, opened fire at his home last night, Geo News said.

The reporter went on to add that Hussain also attempted to kick down the door to his residence. However, Khan and his family remained safe during the ordeal.

Nevertheless, a case has been registered in this regard, police sources stated, adding that an investigation is currently underway.
