The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Sunday said moist currents are penetrating upper and central parts of the country.

A westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of Pakistan.

Rain and thunderstorm with a few heavy falls and gusty winds are expected at scattered places in upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions), KP, Zhob, Islamabad, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan in the next 24 hours.

Light rain/drizzle is expected at a few places along the Sindh and Balochistan coast, the PMD said.

Hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country on Sunday.

The weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country on Saturday. However, rain and thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Malakand, Hazara, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
