Punjab CM suspends three employees for negligence

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz SharifMULTAN/LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday suspended three employees of the Buildings Department for neglecting duties, during his unannounced visit to the Kidney Center in Multan.
"I pointed out some tasks during my last visit in March, which remain incomplete to date," he said.
Sharif ordered an inquiry into the absence of medicines for patients and unavailability of water in the bathrooms of the medical facility.
In a separate visit to Muzzafargarh, the Punjab CM visited the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital's extension project and observed the progress in the construction work at the medical facility.
Sharif was briefed about the addition of 250 beds in the hospitals, and a tentative completion date of December 25, 2017.
A total budget of over Rs 2,360 billion has been approved for the project.
