When the English rock band Oasis formed in Manchester, England, back in 1991, they saved a generation who believed in the band. They gave us hits like Wonderwall and Don't Look Back In Anger and they are still as relevant as they were back in the 90s.

And the truth is that although the band split up in 2009, courtesy of a Noel and Liam Gallagher's bust up backstage at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris, fans across the world still remained hopeful of a reunion at some point in the future. Of course the remaining band members—LG, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock went on to form Beady Eye. And while Noel Gallagher, the original lead vocalist of the band may not be anywhere in the picture, his brother, Liam Gallagher seems to have taken over from where he left off in many ways and started out on a musical journey by himself, with the rest.

After Beady Eye broke aay after just two albums, Liam formed High Flying Birds. But, he has never given up on a reconciliation with his brother, as well as the reformation of Oasis… giving a spark to many fans' hopes. 

Then, on August 16th, 2017, Noel Gallagher tweeted to his followers the following message. 

WE ARE MANCHESTER.

And following this, followers have been kind of hoping for a brotherly reunion on stage. And just then, Liam tweeted yesterday; August 19th 2017, saying this: 

I would love to play that gig in MCR on sept 9th but I'm afraid I'm playing in Spain saying that though it's only a hop skip n a jump LG x

The last part has been of considerable importance to Twitterati where LG says that the venue is only a hop, skip and a jump; which was also the case for his One Love Manchester gig. 

And so, fans are thinking that just, maybe, this is the reunion they've been hoping for… 

Could it be though?
