KARACHI: Rainfall resumed in various parts of Karachi late Tuesday morning after the city was lashed by heavy rainfall a day earlier. 

Fresh reports of heavy rainfall have been confirmed from Federal B Area, North Karachi, North Nazimabad, PECHS, Super Highway. I.I. Chundrigar road, S.I.T.E and surrounding areas. 

Rainfall on Shahrah-e-Faisal 

Monday's rainfall accompanied by stormy winds caused power outages across the metropolis, which the local power distribution company K-Electric was struggling. 

Over 300 feeders of the power distribution company failed, of which 180 were restored late in the night. While the power company was struggling to restore supply, fresh rainfall is likely to make matters worse for consumers. 

The Meteorological Department has forecast the weather system to continue for the next 48-hours.
