Earthquake of 4.7 magnitude jolts Gilgit

GILGIT: Strong jolts were felt here in the city and its surrounding areas late Wednesday night, Geo News reported.
The earthquake magnitude was recorded as 4.7 on the Richter scale, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said, adding that its depth was registered at 15 kilometres.
The PMD also mentioned that the earthquake's epicentre was 37 kilometres southwest of Skardu.
