Eminem Screws Up The Lyrics To ‘Stan' In Front Of 35,000 Fans

You don't need an introduction to the God of Rap music, Marshall Mathers, a.k.a, Eminem, a.k.a., The Real Slim Shady.

He's an icon, a legend, a phenomenon and to so many millions, he's a voice of reason—in a very hurried and angered voice. Ever since the release of his iconic track, The Real Slim Shady, back in 1999, which skyrocketed the charts and became an anthem, Eminem has remained the chart-topping, best-selling musician across the world, unopposed.

It's hard to miss an Eminem number. That's Slim Shady for you.

That same year, when the rap god released the song, ‘Stan' as part of the Marshall Mathers LP, it was but obvious that the song would catch on like wildfire. Instantly, it garnered the number 1 spot in eleven countries, including United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland and Australia. So much so that the word, ‘Stan' even made its way to the Oxford English Dictionary following the song, where it was defined as “An overzealous or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity - 'he has millions of Stans who are obsessed with him and call him a rap god.”

And so, when Eminem began to perform the popular song at his recent gig at Scotland's Bellahouston Park on Thursday night, the crowd was raging… up until the point where he went and messed up the lyrics to the song. Yep, that happened.

    Here's what he said:

“I read about your Uncle Ronnie too, I'm sorry. I had a friend kill himself over some bitch who didn't want him,”… Then, he fumbled the next line and added, “Ahhh, we gotta run that back.”

He picked the song back up before the chorus kicked in.

“I like the shit you did with Rawkus too, that shit was phat. Anyways, I hope you get this, man, hit me back, just to chat, truly yours, your biggest fan, this is Stan.”

All said and done, though, Eminem held himself with class, just as a Rap God of his stature should. Correction: Just as ‘THE' Rap God should.

On that note, let's go listen to ‘Stan' once again?
