ISLAMABAD: The Professional Squash Association (PSA) confirmed that it has sanctioned two PSA world tour events in Pakistan in December, after lifting a ban imposed in February 2017 which prevented the country from hosting international events due to security concerns.

"The decision to impose the ban on Pakistan was made after extensive consultation with Sport Risk in relation to security issues but the PSA is now satisfied that there are no immediate security concerns,? stated the press release from Pakistan Squash Federation.

Out of the two events to be held in Islamabad, one will be a men?s tournament having $50,000 prize money, while the other will be a women?s tournament with $25,000 prize amount
