ISLAMABAD: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has revised per person per visit outward/inward cash carrying limits of Pakistan currency notes.

The cash carrying limits for the visitors leaving or entering Pakistan (other than India) have been enhanced to Rs10,000 and in case of India, the limits have been enhanced to Rs3,000, SBP said in a statement.

According to the previous policy, any person could take out from Pakistan to any country (other than India) up to Rs3,000 per visit, whereas for India this limit was Rs500. Similarly, any person could bring into Pakistan up to Rs3,000 per visit from any country (other than India) and Rs500 from India.

The SBP said that the policy revision was put into action to facilitate the travelers considering theΒ increase in the cost of goods and services with the passage of time.Β
