An annual popular list of Asia’s sexiest women is published by British paper ‘Eastern Eye Newspaper’ and the latest results are out now. Dethroning the beloved ‘desi’ girl Priyanka Chopra, Bollywood’s current queen bee, Deepika Padukone has won the coveted title by popular vote.

Priyanka Chopra was ‘Asia’s sexiest woman’ for four consecutive years before this. In a statement, Deepika expressed her happiness by saying, “It does bring a smile to my face, but sexy means different things to different people. For me, it's not just physical. Being comfortable with who you are, is sexy. Confidence is sexy. Innocence and vulnerability is sexy." She makes our hearts flutter with her smile, so we are not surprised that she won the poll.

The other Indian women who made it to the list include TV actors Nia Sharma, who is at the third spot and Drashti Dhami, who is at the fifth spot. Alia also made it to the top ten. Deepika, who is gearing up for her Hollywood debut is flying high right now and she deserves all of that.

Wonder what Priyanka’s reaction would be? They are said to be great friends in real life, so we guess she’d be more than happy for her.
