Star Indian boxer Vijender Singh defended his WBO Asia Pacific super middleweight title in style with a knock-out win over challenger and former world champion Francis Cheka on Saturday.

The ten-round contest did not last the distance as Vijender knocked out his opponent in the third round itself.
"He (Cheka) wanted to talk more and I wanted to let my punches do the talking. It worked in the end," Vijender said after the bout.

Vijender also thanked the fans for the support. "Big thank you to the crowd for coming and always supporting me. Very happy today," the champ said.
